    2. Chicken Fried Steak Lunch Special
    Victoria E.

Tiki hubby had to try the lunch Chicken Fried Steak. Yes Italian restaurant who offer's a CFS. He got his with mashed potatoes and corn. I went with an order of meatballs and an aperol spritzer. The refreshing cocktail hit the spot of this 100 degree day. White table cloths friendly staff made us feel like we were in little Italy. The food was delicious the Crust on the CFS was flavorful and crispy covering the most tender meat. The meatballs were some of the best soft meaty in a rich dark red tomato sauce. Diane our server was one best, took amazing care of us. Would go back just for her great service and the food being so yummy look forward to try other menu items. Bar look fun full of nice looking men.

I was sitting waiting for my order at this bar where the couple in black sport coat and blonde are. The manager rudely told me "hey go stand in the corner over there and wait i have people trying to sit". proceeded to give him my chair WHILE THERE ARE TWO ADDITIONAL CHAIRS TO THE LEFT OF THE BLONDE WOMAN! it was very nasty and i'm a POC and don't want to use that card but that's what it felt like because as tou can see in the pic, the guy is still standing!!! food was terrible anyway never going back

Chicken fried steak (off menu). Made 4 meals for my week.

Lived here for years and only recently started going to Prego. Great Italian food- crab cakes appetizer was excellent (solid crab to breading ratio). Pasta and entrees are great! Dare yourself to order the off the menu chicken fried steak! I know CFS is not Italian, but it's definitely the biggest CFS I've ever seen! And it tastes great. Locally owned if you want to support a local business. Had a few different servers and all are great. Reservations recommended, esp if going on the weekend. Dress is maybe a little nicer than casual. I don't think they will kick you out if you wore shorts and a t-shirt but you might feel a little under dressed?

Fancy lil Italian spot on upper Greenville! Nice for sitting at the bar or a date night. It was kid friendly as well. We loved the pizza! They have specials each day and great prices on their wine. Service was awesome!

Wow!! Shrimp Prego is now my favorite dish in Dallas!! Ok folks, get ready to have your socks knocked off. This is such a delicious and amazing dish. Fresh perfectly cooked lightly battered butterflied shrimp with an incredible lemon butter and capers sauce. Get it ASAP! Here is the story... I had already eaten lunch and joined friends for a late lunch to chat. This dish passed us going to another table and it totally caught my eye. The presentation was awesome. I asked the waiter what that was, he told me and I said I want that too. Best decision I've be made in years! I ate the whole thing. Ugh - 2 lunches and I was not hungry. One bite and I could not stop. I could not wait to come back! GO, GO, GO!!!!!

Small pizza half cheese and half pepperoni

Food was so tasty! The service was nice and every employee was so sweet. I ordered the spinach lasagna (I loved this) and a small order of crab claws. My son got a small pizza with half pepperoni and the other half just cheese (he recommends all pepperoni). I wish I would have gotten the name of the waitress helping the table next to mine. She was a little bit older with short brunette hair. She went out of her way to help me and my son when she thought we needed something. She was so sweet and is noticeably an asset to this restaurant. I would have given five stars had my server offered a dessert menu. Also, it would be nice to have some small pasta options on the lunch menu opposed to mostly sandwiches and salads. Overall a great experience though.

    Chicken fried steak price?

I am not absolutely sure of the price but I know it is a New York strip that is a large portion. It is between 12 and 16 oz!

We started with the focaccia bread (5/5). Wow--this might be some of the best bread I've ever had. Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and the dip was delicious. I usually try not to fill up on bread before the entrées arrive, but we made sure to finish every bite. We also ordered the burrata salad (5/5), which was a very generous portion and absolutely delicious. I would definitely order it again. For our entrées, my friend and I shared the chicken piccata and the bolognese. The chicken piccata was a 5/5 for me, while the bolognese was a 4.5/5. Both dishes were excellent and I'd happily order either again. This visit was a completely different experience from my first one, and I'm glad I came back. I'd love to return with my husband sometime.

She finally looked up and said, "2"? Then seated us almost silently. We waited another 10 mins for someone to welcome us, say hi, or bring water, then a waiter appeared with a rushed, "Are you ready to order?" Umm....how about drinks? Specials? Anything?? We wanted a beer and were told the taps were empty and the only bottled option was Shiner. Rough start all around. Honestly, we were tempted to leave. It was that uncomfortable. We didn't. For the food: 1. Chopped salad was good, though it's not chopped at all, just a tossed salad. 2. Gnocci was delicious 3. Pizza was very tasty but the crust was strangely soggy/chewy. Maybe that's the style, but I kind of expected a bit of a crunch to it. The flavor all around was great.
