Very happy with my experience. Worked with sales person Mark Gennette on a very busy Saturday. All the sales people seemed to be working with multiple customers that day, but other members of the staff were very friendly and kept making sure we were being taken care of while Mark was researching a vehicle I had seen online. We had originally gone in to test-drive a late model Outback that was on the website as "coming soon", but wasn't on the lot yet. Mark found the same model car (different color and more mileage) so I could at least drive the car and see if I would be interested in the one I saw when it was available. During the test drive Mark listened to what I was really looking for: I currently drive a VW GTI (5-speed manual) and LOVE it, but we really needed more room for our camping gear. I did not want a SUV, so I wasn't looking at the Forester, but the Outback felt really big to me. Mark said they had 6-speed manual Foresters on the lot, that they were actually shorter and lighter weight than the Outback, and that from listening to me, he really thought I would like it and suggested a test drive. Well within less than 5 minutes of driving I was sold! Such a fun car to drive! Not as much power as the GTI, of course, but plenty of torque and great cornering. The husband drove for a bit and had to agree that this vehicle checked off all the boxes we were looking for. At this point it was well past lunch and we were too hungry to talk numbers, so Mark suggested a great pub and told us to either come back afterwards or to call him if we were interested in purchasing--no pressure at all. We ate, went back and after Mark gave us both leasing and financing options we put down a deposit to buy the Forester. Three days later we went in to pick up our car. Mark was off that day but was in contact to ensure all the paperwork and insurance was in order. Ted walked us through everything--all our manuals, the warranties that come with the car, and all the knobs and buttons on the dash--he even linked my cell phone to the car's Bluetooth before we left! Jeff in the finance department reviewed all the paperwork--of course there were additional Service Contracts available to purchase, but I appreciated that there was no hard sell on those--when we turned them down that was it. I can't stress enough the reason we made a purchase here was that Mark really listened to what I was looking for and matched me up with the perfect vehicle. I also need to mention that everyone who works there is very friendly and acknowledges you, offering water or coffee, so even though this is a very busy dealership, you never feel ignored. read more

We bought a 2004 Forester 10 years ago from Premier. We wanted to buy another just like it, but found that the new ones are a little bigger, and thought that we might not be comfortable with a new one. We need some service on the 04 and we asked for a loaner which they provided. Unfortunately all of the Foresters were already gone that day. So we took a Crosstrek since we thought that might be a good alternative. We had it for the day and had a good chance to evaluate it. But we still wanted to try a Forester, so we talked to the sales manager and he let us take one for another afternoon. When we brought it back we had made up our minds that we wanted the Crosstrek. Our salesman was Herman. We sat down with him and and reviewed the models and standard features, and options, and costs. We had done a lot of on-line research, so we had a pretty good idea of what we needed, and what it might cost. Herman answered all of our questions and filled in all of the gaps. We chose a color and placed our order. After about 6 weeks we just took delivery of the car. Herman checked it out to see if everything was there and explained how to work various controls, etc. We liked working with Herman. He personality seems perfectly suited to his work. He is a ball of fire with a good sense of humor and really aims to please. Premier has done all of the service work on our 04 Subaru, and they have repaired the few things that needed repair right the first time and we never had to go back to correct mistakes. I can't say enough good things! I wish I could give more than five stars! We worked with Adam, Neil, and Kevon all of whom were fabulous! I had been looking for a Rogue for over a month. Almost very dealership I went to either didn't have what I was looking for or told me I would never get what I wanted for the price I needed. However, Premier got me my dream car in my price range. I never thought I would find my dream Rogue at a Subaru dealership-but Premier went above and beyond my expectations! Kevon was great to work with. He was never pushy and was very upfront about everything. Adam was fantastic and super easy to work with. I have never worked with a business office that made me feel so at ease. He answered all our questions and let us take our time reading over all the paperwork. I never once felt rushed and felt very comfortable with everything I needed to sign. Neil was also great! He took time to sit with us (in the middle of a tornado watch mind you) to go over everything in the car and make sure we didn't have any concerns or questions. It made me feel so much more at ease when it came time to drive off the lot. I can say with certainty I drive home with a smile on my face and that is thanks to the great service at premier! I just purchased a new 2012 Subaru Legacy from Premier. This happened after I did extensive internet research. I had purchased a 3 cars from this dealer before, but, did an anonymous internet price search to make sure that I was getting the best deal. I made inquiries to 5 area Subaru dealers. One didnt get back to me - 4 did. Premier was back to me the quickest with the best price. Premier is also the dealer for the AAA program that I used. When I went in, I saw the same general manager as I have seen in the past. I met with Barbara ( who helped me with the last car) and saw the car that I had made an inquiry on. Barbara then told me the price, which was the same as the internet price. (this wasnt true at 2 other dealers as they said they needed to add the trucking/transportation to the price of thec ar). Wrapping the deal up was easy and I picked my car up the following day. I am glad I ended up with Premier since I have used their service department and never had an issue with their service. It gives me extra comfort that this dealer is also listed in the AAA as an approved dealer. By the way, the 2012 Legacy is GREAT. My fuel economy is over 30 and I am enjoying the stereo - which is much improved over the previous models! read more

I recently had an unfortunate experience with Premier Subaru in Branford that I feel compelled to share. The level of service provided was simply unacceptable. The staff exhibited a consistently bad attitude, displaying rude manners and a shocking lack of professionalism. From the moment I stepped foot into the dealership, I was met with dismissive behavior and a palpable air of superiority from the service manager. Instead of feeling welcomed and valued as a customer, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. The interactions were marred by a lack of basic courtesy and respect. What was most concerning was the evident lack of education and training among this service manager. It was apparent that they were ill-prepared to handle even the most basic customer inquiries. Instead of providing helpful and accurate information, they seemed more interested in rushing through interactions or deflecting questions altogether. Overall, my experience with Premier Subaru was nothing short of disappointing. It's disheartening to see such a disregard for customer service and professionalism in an establishment that should prioritize customer satisfaction. I would caution anyone considering doing business with them to proceed with extreme caution. read more

I bought my first Subaru (Outback) 2011 and just traded it in for a 2017 Crosstrek. I went back to Premier Subaru because of their service department. I have had excellent experiences and nothing negative has ever happened. They give you all the feedback about any service needed and never pressure you to have service completed unless it's a safety issue. They will just note in your file any service so they can remind you next time you come in. Appointments are easy to schedule using their online site. If a service is going to take longer than expected, they will offer to have someone drive you home or to work. The salesman I worked with in 2011 and the salesman I worked with last week were excellent. I at no time felt pressured to purchase the vehicle and I was offered a test drive more than once. The terms of the deal were easy to understand and everything went smoothly. I will be returning to this dealership when my time with my 2017 is up and I will get another Subaru. read more

Let me start this review by saying that I've been a Subaru owner going on a decade and a half. That being said, I knew exactly what I wanted in my new WRX and searched far and wide to find it. Having abandoned almost all hope of finding a manual base model in WRB, short of ordering from my local dealer (where I was quoted a 3-4 month wait and having to pay the sticker price), I happened upon Premier's website after broadening my search. They had a 2017 WRX in WRB with two options: a vortex generator and a short throw shifter at over $1,300 and change below MSRP. Bear in mind this was one of about a dozen WRX and STI models they had listed, all below MSRP. After I decided to buy the car, my salesperson, Jeff, and the business manager, Rob, didnt try to push any extra warranties or "deals" beyond mentioning that they we were available. All in all, this was a great car buying experience and well worth the long drive. read more

Jason was our sales person and after going to 4 other dealers in CT and contacting 2 in NY i have to say i will never deal with anyone but him. Jason was incredibly knowledgable about not just the brand but each model individually. He walked us through the whole process and even went out of his way spending countless hours trying to find my car. We endes up having to special order and he kept in contact with updates ever step of the way. My car had a bad harness in it which had to replaced two months later. Not only did the service department treat me with respect and kindness but Jason personally saw to giving me an update daily. I couldn't be happier with priemer and especially Jason! I exchanged a few painless emails with Tony over the next few days and set up an appointment to crunch the numbers. There was no haggling and they gave me a deal that I couldn't turn down. It would have been silly not to do the deal. My wife had a flat and she was greeted by the manager as soon as she pulled in. He offered her water, made her comfortable and fixed the tire. They did not try to sell us anything, we had no appointment and with Covid my wife was nervous. The dealership is huge. We normally got to Milford but our tire was going flat. Everyone was wearing masks, and you could tell they all liked working there. The manager was greeting everyone and it was very well run. The advisor was a lovely young lady who made my wife feel like her most important customer. The entrance is a little confusing and lacks signage but once you pull in, its very spacious and indoor. Our experience was fantastic. Not too many people know you can rent cars from Premier Subaru . I recommend looking into it. I'm always looking for a good price and I found them to be really reasonable. The process is easy and convenient. I have gotten loaners there and found out I could also rent from them. I always get a newer car, that is clean and reliable. DJ is friendly and helpful, with good advice, like take your toll transponder with you. Since I get my cars serviced there, they have the important information in their computers, so it doesn't take much time at all to get checked out. They always went above and beyond to be honest, accommodating and give EXCELLENT service.
