Offered non alcoholic drink options, had the Agave Au Poivre, refreshing cucumber,lime,genery, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Yummy! Small plate: Beets with feta, yogurt,tahini,hazelnuts,quinoa and schug(micro greens)..enough to share...so very unique..loved it! Large plate: Summer corn ravioli with pine nut, lemon,pecorino and summer truffles, in abundance!!! DELICIOUS! My dinner friends had the Salmon and pork belly dishes....all were enjoyed and the plates were cleaned. Dessert was a luscious butter cake with fresh peaches, caramel, coffee gelato and a wonderful whipped cream..and a Birthday candle, so thoughtful!!!! We've been going here for a while. This is a farm to table restaurant that could go head to head with any in the State of New York. It's grown and is more crowded every day, so if you go on a Friday, as we just did, arrive early. Or go on a weekday when it's open. The staff are friendly and have a real team/family atmosphere even if they serve several hundred settings each night. Ingredients are top notch. they will pay attention to your allergies. I just want to talk about the mushrooms on the scallops that I had. They were crispy and dry like potato chips. I don't know how anyone could achieve that. Dry mushrooms crumble. Everything is good. There is no wrong choice on the menu. Make sure to get a side of fries if nothing that you order comes with them. read more

Another delightful visit to Prescotts Provisions for our 20th wedding anniversary. The food just seems to get better each time! Started with a delicious Buratta/bruschetta of eggplant and sweet tomatoes on toast that was a treat for our tastebuds. My Angus Ribeye main on a bed of garlic mashed potato with caramelized onions was melt-in-your/mouth tender and delicious. The wife's Dtinging-nettle ravioli was fresh and savory in a light sauce. This visit I didn't opt for one of their fantastic wood-fired pizzas, but the thought definitely did cross my mind. Wasn't a fan of the signature cocktail that I chose, a "dirty" manhattan, so I'll try something else next time. We shall return! read more

I hate to tell people this, but this is a hidden jem that deserves recognition. The food and service are on point . Menu is seasonal, which is a plus... attention to detail is absolutely credential to this restaurant. Chef and staff does a fabulous job of presentation, taste, and especially perfect balance of flavors. Pastry chef is just amazing as well . Please make room for dessert if you can. Visiting from out of state, we were referred to Prescott's Provisions by another restaurant and were eager to try it. Although we showed up early (6:30),we were told there'd be a 90+ minute wait. We made the wait, and while dinner was good (though slow--over 30 minutes to arrive), the real shock came with the bill: the short ribs we ordered turned out to be Wagyu steak, at nearly double the price of the most expensive entrée on the menu. Our waiter, Connor, never mentioned this. When questioned, he said, "I forgot to mention they were Wagyu, but since you didn't ask the price, I assumed you didn't want to know." We had already ordered a Wagyu appetizer and knew the price difference--this felt like a blatant attempt to take advantage of us. Overall, a very disappointing experience. read more

We haven't been there in a few years, but tonight was so lovely. We sat on the heated patio, which was warm even in the 20 degree Buffalo weather. We ordered the crispy artichokes to start, which my husband and I both really enjoyed, especially with the dipping sauce. I got two small plates: the lobster mezzaluna (ravioli with a delicious sauce) and the honey squash bruschetta which was an exquisite mix of flavors. My husband got the smoked Berkshire pork chop and the combination of flavors was also really well done. I'm not a big fan of pork and I was asking for another bite. We were intrigued by the dessert options but too full to try. We'll have to come back for that. Service was also good. read more

I have been dying to try this restaurant and all I can say is I wish I would have gone sooner. It is the coolest little place!! Super easy to find with guidance from my GPS of course. My boyfriend and I decided to go here for our 2 year anniversary and it was awesome!! When we pulled up we got a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. It was really cool because theres a huge glass window and you can see the inter working of the kitchen. All of the chef's and culinary staff are dressed in pristine white uniforms and they are moving and working like a well oiled machine. It's like watching a show on Netflix! I could sit there and watch them all day. When we walked up to the door there was a sign letting people know that all tables were booked and a mask is required. We walked in and were seated immediately. The tables were spaced apart nicely yet it still felt welcoming and fun. Our waitress Julie was awesome. She guided us through the menu and was very helpful. We decided to have mules as our drinks and the white cheddar popovers with prosciutto and the swiss chard arancini. I loved the the arancini. The pecorino was so salty and savory!! My boyfriend loved the popovers. He kept talking about how light they were. For dinner I had the wood roasted chicken sausage with the creamed kale and my boyfriend had the halibut. My sausage was sonfreakin good!! I loved the but of spice in the sausage mixed with the tang of the giardiniera and vinaigrette. It was perfect. My boyfriend who LOVES seafood talked about his halibut like it was date. He said it was absolutely perfect; the texture, the color the flavor. I finally gave in and had to try it. It was absolutely delicious, but my sausage was out of this world. For dessert we had the brown butter cake. I'd never heard of it but my boyfriend was ready to jump for joy when he heard it was an option. He loves a good ooey gooey dessert and this did not disappoint. So simple and so satisfying. I finally made it over to Prescott's Previsions after hearing so many great things about it. My date and I went on a whim around 8pm. Typically I believe you need reservations for a shot at getting a table but since we went later we were able to get a spot on the patio. The decor and patio lighting is perfect for a night out and the tables were appropriately socially distanced in the time of COVID-19. I started with one of the cocktails which was tastefully crafted. For the appetizers my date and I shared the lobster sliders and popovers. It took quite awhile for our appetizers to come out and many tables that came after us got their appetizers sooner than us. The server apologized because our ticket didn't print out in the kitchen. Not a big issue and our server remedied it by ensuring our appetizers came out right away. Not a lot a restaurants offer popovers so I was excited to see them on the menu. The lobster sliders too tasted so fresh and had a nice flavor. For my entree I got the scallops and my date the salmon. It took a very long time for our entree to come out but it was worth the wait. Maybe because it was so crowded on a Friday night? The scallops tasted fresh and not frozen, and were perfectly cooked. The scallops were paired with cauliflowers, cashews and a fantastic sauce. The whole dish blended so nicely together. I also had a few bites of the salmon which was fantastic. Overall Prescott's Previsions is a fantastic place to enjoy a dinner (even some tables are along the canal) but expect to wait a long time for dishes to come out - however it is worth the wait! read more

Single people are not welcome here - When you go you have to not only be seated to an empty bar .. But while you're eating you need to be mindful of ALL other people -at bar after you start your dinner 1.) make sure everyone else has a seat 2.) if there all any adults not seated you'll be asked to move for them - those other adults need special attention apparently. 3.) expect to he asked in the middle of your meal by hostess to move even if you're minding your own business such as having a quiet conversation with bartender or texting someone on your phone Remember other people come first and then you can enjoy your meal It's about other peoples needs There is an exception - The hostess won't comp you a drink and full tipping is expected based on cost of meal not the poor experience read more

Prescott Provisions continues to earn five stars. Their food is perfectly and creatively seasoned, the plate presentation is top notch, the menu is limited, but we'll thought out and very satisfying, their wine list is more than acceptable, and their bartenders know how to make a drink. The wait staff properly serve food and beverages - something not to be taken for granted in 2022 - and the flatware and table settings are appropriate. This last time their cuts of meat were poor, in that they contained lots of gristle. I had the prime rib, prepared rare, and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned, but at least 40% of it was inedible. One guest at my table had the pork chops which were, again, perfectly prepared, wonderfully seasoned, and about 30% of it was inedible. My wife had the chicken, which was perfect in all respects. The extraordinarily talented chefs at this restaurant probably do not select the meats, and almost certainly do not butcher the meats themselves. One can't be that talented a Chef and allow such poor cuts of meat to be served. Whether they get their meat pre-cut, I do not know but the excellence of their cuisine continues to earn them a solid five stars, despite the tough cuts and the chlorine scented water. Update, Prescott's continues to wow. This place has a regular rotating menu of seasonal deliciousness. I've been 4 times now, and it's always a bit of a splurge but worth it. I'd give a 4.5 star if I could, but a 5 rounded up wins. The starters were delicious. The pork belly was to die for. For mains we got the special which was the Waygu Ribye. When he told us about it I knew I needed it, but $85 was more than I thought it'd be. Oh well, it was banging. The yellowfin was a nice complement with some acidity, fresh fish, and just very fruity and vibrant. The .5 star down is for 2 reasons: 1. No real gluten free dessert (my girlfriend is intolerant) 2. I got the smallest pour of wine ever. $12 for what would basically be 4 sips. I saw other glasses and they were way more. Don't short me on a $200 meal for 2 please. I went to Prescott's on a Wednesday night for dinner, we made reservations but didn't really need them as it wasn't crazy this week. We started with cocktails, I had whatever there green matcha cocktail is and it was delicious. We split oysters, bruschetta, beef tartare and a margarita pizza, everything was delicious! The mignonette on the oysters was great, the bruschetta had great flavor and was a good size, the beef tartare with the horseradish sauce was amazinggg I'll definitely order that again. Our eyes were bigger then our stomachs, where we each for an entree as well. The pork chop and the burger were amazing, both I'd order again. The service was great, the decor was pretty for winter, and it has a parking lot for easy parking. I'd love to come back in the summer to sit outside. read more

Fantastic food and phenomenal service. A friend recommended this place a while back and we came here for my birthday dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly service that we received from EVERYONE once we walked in. From the hostess, to the bartenders, to random staff waking by and taking the time to make conversation, to our server. It really makes you feel appreciated for spending your time + money there. Our server checked on us often and repeatedly refilled our water before we even realized we needed it. For dinner we got a few small plates - a salmon spread that was a special item that night and a pepperoni pizza. Both were great and enjoyed by everyone at the table. For drinks, I had the winter Sangria, which was good, and my mom had the locally sourced ginger ale. For dinner I got the short rib. I normally don't do much beef but I saw pictures from other reviews that made my mouth water. It did not disappoint! The meat was so tender and that mashed potato purée was otherworldly. My family got the salmon, a pasta dish can't remember which) and the pork chop. Other than my father not loving the temperature of his pork chop (he likes thin cuts) we were all very pleased. We split a desert that was offered on the house because it was my birthday. I believe it was the brown butter cake with pistachio gelato. Very delicious. I will definitely be back. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, and finally had the chance to last night to celebrate my birthday. Prescott's Provisions did not disappoint! We ordered the brussel sprouts and burrata small plates which were both delicious. The brussel sprouts were out of this world- and probably one of the best small plate items I've had in a long time. For entrees my husband ordered the pork chop, and I ordered the braised beef short rib. Both were absolutely outstanding. The sides were equally delicious...the pork chop came with a delicious braised cabbage, and the short rib came with an amazing potato purée that was perfection. For dessert we ordered the pavlova, which was incredibly light and refreshing. The service was excellent. There was an issue with a ticket mix up in the kitchen, causing a delay in getting our small plates. It didn't bother us (we didn't even say anything) since we were fine with a leisurely dinner. However, they gave us dessert on the house for the inconvenience. Prescott's Provisions has definitely earned a spot as one of our new go to places for a splurge dinner. Add me to the list of people who have recently had less than great experiences here after a long run of excellent ones. For the second time in a row we've had a not so great server who made us fell rushed, our steaks were overcooked, the server never checked on us through out the meal so we never got to order more drinks with our entrees and just overall a really big let down. To top it off they gave us somebody else's leftovers which means we paid $59 and $65 for about 2 ounces of steak and never got to enjoy the rest of the meals we had wrapped up to go. It's also super unsanitary and was really disgusting to open up the next day. read more

Kudos to the chef. Our food was delicious. My husband and I started out with cocktails. They were very unique and not watered down. Thoroughly enjoyed them. I ordered the hamburger dinner. It was the best burger I have ever had. The restaurant grinds their own meat with different Cuts of beef. My husband ordered the Japanese Wagyu steak with a couple of sides that were absolutely delicious. Our server Nicholas was terrific. He was extremely knowledgeable on the menu and offered many good tips on what to order. He also was very aware of the food preparation for each thing we ordered. I would have given five stars, if it were not for the fact that we did not even get bread while we were waiting for our meal. That is very unusual even for fine dining. Second visit. This place is still amazing. Honestly a bit underrated. Drinks: I had the whiskey cocktail ( its name was "smoke also rises" or something like that) it was smokey yet balanced. Loved it, definitely recommend (10/10) Small plates (7/10): we tried the arancini and it was amazing. Crispy yet fresh and creamy with an undertone of pistachio. We also tried the scallop Carpaccio. Thin slices of fresh scallop with Lettuce and jalapeños. It could have been super amazing but I don't think the ratio was right. Too much jalapeños relative to scallops. 4 of us went and had a great meal. Service was wonderful - they were informative about the cocktails, wine options and recommended dishes because we always ask for severs opinions. Started with some small plates of cheese, beef tartare and oysters. The tartare was different than what we are use to from our travels in France but it was very good. Oysters were small but the hot sauce was so spicy and balanced the pickled cucumber. Foie Gras mousse was disappointing- brioche was great but the mouse itself was a little runny, and it had too much fruit that took away from the foie flavours. Mains were fabulous...I split the 32oz Porterhouse which was frigging amazing. They had sides of cream corn that I had one bite and some smashed fingerling potatoes (which were very good) but man was that meat cooked to perfection and had great simple seasoning. Others at our table enjoyed their mains but I had to focus on the steak. We saved room for dessert and the chocolate cake was amazing and so was the patna cotta. All in all a great tasty meal. This is a hidden gem right next to the Erie Canal! The atmosphere is upscale and nice and waitstaff are so kind! The drinks were also delicious and they had a wide variety. In terms of food, the appetizers definitely outshined the main course. The tuna crudo was delicious with an amazing sauce and the oysters were great as well. The best by far though was the octopus! It was cooked perfectly and the flavors were so amazing. For the main courses, the steak was great! The mashed potatoes that came with it were also delicious. The scallops were also pretty good - they were perfectly cooked but has a lot of peas which I am personally not a fan of. Lastly we had the mushroom and the salami pizzas but both were kind of bland. I thought the salami pizza would have a little spice to it, but I was disappointed. The chocolate cake dessert was the perfect end to the meal! The cake itself was amazing and the sorbet that came with it was the perfect compliment. Overall a great meal! read more

I always look forward to trying a place during restaurant week, and this time I chose Prescott's. It was a good choice. It has a homey feel to it with the front porch seating area as you go in the front door. The interior is large, wide open and you can see the wood fired oven from the front of the house. It is rather loud, however, because the rafters are high and there is nothing to absorb sound. There was music playing; I might have caught a whiff of Miles Davis - not sure because the noise level was like inside a jet engine. The table my party of four was seated at was so large I could have used a megaphone to have a conversation. Truthfully, the noise level was something to endure. In any case, there were many high points to the meal. Everything was cooked perfectly except the lentils. They were dry and chalky. The pork and scallops were faultless; the pizza was average - not exceptional; Perhaps because it was bit cold when it was served. The price points were perhaps a tad high - $29 for 4, albeit perfectly cooked, scallops and $3 worth of cauliflower and almonds. They have a decent wine list but if you are unfamiliar with a brand ask for a taste first. The rosé on offer was a tad sweet. The cocktails looked interesting but I didn't have one, small choice of beer. The best dessert was the pistachio cake. You should probably just get that and forget about the others. I liked Prescot's very much. The small plates menu looked inviting. Although the menu changes frequently so next time I go there they might not have those gruyere popovers I was eyeing. . read more

I love this place for two main reasons: service and food. The servers are so knowledgeable about their menu and beverage options. They'll help you choose a wine, discuss ingredients and preferences, and even share their personalities! Such a pleasure to dine there. The food is always fun and exciting. They are not afraid to play with flavors and it pays off. This is definitely one of those places where you should always try something new. For example, I normally hate mushrooms, but when my scallops came with mushrooms I almost didn't even notice as they were subtle and did not take any spotlight away from the large scallops. You know its always so good to stock up on Provisions to be prepared to face busy night of Service in the Heat of the Moment. As it says in their Story: Prescott Provisions was born from a Family Legacy in the Restaurant Industry. Named after their Grandfather - Donald Prescott Benoit, who back in 1967 opened his 1st Restaurant (Deer Path) in Berlin, NY with having all 11 of his Children working alongside him and his wife June. Then when their Kids grew they started opening up Restaurants of their own, bringing Prescott Provisions to the scenic Tonawanda Area with Great Food and a view of the Water to Boot. My 1st visit was a few year back as a late Christmas Gift with my Grandma & Uncle. We arrived 15 minutes early of our Reservation where we were sat in the Middle of the highly lit Restaurant with a good view of Vinny Thompson (the Executive Chef) and his crew pumping food out of the Open Kitchen. Before Dinner I was greeted by an old friend, Roo Buckley (who used to work at Carte Blanche in Hamburg but chose to work here cuz it was closer to Home). To start off our Meal we ordered some Drinks, Rick got a Pisco Sour, Grandma got a glass of Spanish Red Wine called Las Rocas Garnacha and I got a Cocktail called Costume Party (Apple Jack Whiskey, Rye, Caperitif, Velvet Falernum & Tiki Bitters). Golden Brown with a Jurassic sized Ice Cube in the center, a little strong with a subtle hint of Apple (this would be a drink that would make you wanna dress up each day). For our appetizers: Rick got Grilled Mediterranean Octopus with Vinegar Potatoes, Romesco Sauce, garnished with Celery Leaf & Radish (he said it was crispy down to the Tentacles), Mine was Charred Avocado with Chilled Lobster, Avocado Mousse, Lime Gel, Fresno Chile, Rice Cracker & Furikake. Half an Avocado showing a smoldering Exterior when you cut it open it showed to have more Lobster hidden inside. The Lobster was sweet and the heat from the Chilies balanced it out, Mousse was smooth, Gel had some Citrus Notes and the Rice Cracker lent a bit of texture, Furikake is Japanese Seasoning made from Toasted Sesame Seeds and Nori (one of the most Elegant Plates ever to be put in front of me). Next we split a place of Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, Walnuts & Mustard Seeds, one thing to describe it was Crispy as nothing was Soggy and the Mustard provided a Mild Bite. For our Entrees, Grandma just went simple as she got a Margherita Pizza, Rick got their Roasted Chicken with Kabocha Squash, Swiss Chard Cannelloni & Black Truffle Jus. Chicken was moist and tender, Chard was crispy as a Chip and how lucky to have a Sauce made from one of the most Luxurious Ingredients in the World. I got their Braised Pork Shank (that was braising in Red Wine for 8 Hours) over BBQ Lentils with Kohlrabi Aji Dulce (Sweet Peppers. Let me tell you, it was just Melt in your Mouth Tender, falling off the Bone, you could even use a spoon to break some Meat off. Kohlrabi was just shaved raw on top of it with some Mustard Seeds, the Lentils were nicely Stewed with a mirepoix of Vegetables acting as a platform for the Pork to sit upon with a little moat of BBQ Sauce underneath. A few spheres of Pear on the Side lend some sweetness to help with some of the Spice in the Dish. To finish off the Meal we got their best selling dessert - Brown Butter Pistachio Cake with Amarena Cherries, Toasted Pistachios (here's the Kicker) a Smoked Rum Caramel. This rectangular Cake (which was a bit Dense) packed some big Flavor with these Dark Red Cherries that popped in your Mouth, 3 Light & Fluffy mounds of Whipped Cream, Pistachios everywhere for more Texture, everytime we lick up that Caramel we taste that Smoke as it lingers on your Tongue. I could easily eat about 6 of these by myself, let alone share with 2 other People. This was another Joyous occasion to spend with loved ones, the people of Tonawanda don't know how lucky they are to have a Restaurant of this Caliber in their Vicinity.
