Love this Pret! Really convenient location, ample seating, and WiFi! I always get the blueberry granola yogurt (better than the muesli in my opinion). Just tried the almond croissant today and I know this is just a Pret A Manger but wtf why was it so good?! It was super soft and flaky, perfectly fluffy inside. Pret has basically the best coffee for a breakfast-y type place. It also has a much nicer decor than the average breakfast-y place, like Au Bob Pain. No T no Shade to ABP, Pret just had the better atmosphere. I like their soups but their sandwiches are kinda basic. If I came here, I would get a soup or salad. Good for a quick, healthy-ish bite in the Brooklyn courthouses area. I know Chinatown is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from my office, but when I need to be in and out, I come here. It's not the fanciest or the tastiest or even the cheapest lunch joint in the neighborhood. I've tried the Pret's Chef Salad where the turkey breast managed to be both slimy and dry, the bacon was three tiny limp pieces, and rooting around the leaves unearthed half of a sliced egg. The thing was $10. I do appreciate that everything they make is fresh and made for daily consumption, and how, unlike other stores, they do the kind thing of giving any leftovers to the homeless. But PAM is strictly a grab-and-go lunch spot or a come-here-after-walking-the-Brooklyn-Bridge-and-my-feet-are-dying spot. In my mind, the Au Bon Pains, Pret A Manger, and LBQ are all interchangeable, and nothing in particular stands out. read more

This is a new location for Pret a Manger, very convenient. This was the first week this location was open but from what I can see so far I'm very impressed. They have a great selection of both hot and cold food. I tried the Five Grain Oatmeal this morning which is made with organic steel cut oats, quinoa, flax seeds, chia seeds, cane sugar and sea salt (vegan friendly). I topped it off with the cranberries and almonds. It was delicious, I loved the flavor. I have a new favorite breakfast spot! The coffee was excellent. I appreciate a strong cup of coffee. I had a cup of the Pret Bold this morning and it jump started my day. I think my productivity just went up by 200%. The staff was friendly and helpful and the place is immaculate. This is what replaced Stark's Veranda restaurant; I'm not that surprised to see yet another chain restaurant here, and they'll probably do well, considering the thousands of people who are in the area every day--but I can't help feeling disappointed to see yet another chain replacing a longtime neighborhood fixture. Two pluses: they label their items as to whether they're vegetarian or vegan, and their coffee is fresh. Plus, they serve brewed decaf that doesn't taste like ass. It's been years and years since anything was done in Starks location and I'm pretty glad something good took over this space. PretaA Manger officially opens next week on March 10, 2014 but I got the jump with a free promotion for lunch. There was a long line of people waiting for the free promotion, but Pret a Manger had it under control. They had staff telling you what sandwiches they were offering, while other staff members were being friendly, greeting the throng of hungry people. You go in one door and exit out the side. Everything was well planned and they didn't waste your time. They allowed a dozen or more people in at a time and you get a goodies bag immediately as you walk in. Then walk over to the sandwich area, and the choices were chicken avocado with balsamic vinaigrette; chicken, bacon and tomato, albacore tuna salad, and one other choice I can't remember. You also get in the goodies bag a brownie, bag of organic popcorn, and Pret's sparkling orange soda. Staffers also handed out coffee sleeves to redeem next week for free coffee and a soup lid to redeem next week for a free small soup. Like all their products I have tried in different branches, food is fresh and tasty. The chicken avocado sandwich is light and the balsamic vinaigrette really made the spring mix lettuce taste good. Multi-grain bread was hearty, but sandwich felt light. I am saving the Sparkling orange soda for another time, as on the can it says "absolutely no nasties" makes me want to drink it out of curiosity. This free luncheon promo was definitely a nice surprise for me and with sandwiches tasting light and fresh; I hope they stick around for a long, long time.Kudos goes to the staff, the lunch promo and fresh and tasty food that is good for you. read more

A couple blocks down from the World Trade Center. This location looks new, and didn't have many customers inside. Got the vanilla ice latte, and bf got the iced coffee. We agreed it was pretty good! Prices were great. ORGANIC! Free Wi-Fi. Large study, spacious seating areas with outlets. Clean restroom. Very tasty! Great spot to rest after walking through out the city. My go to for a low key quick grab in the area. The foods are fresh and prepared daily. The leftovers are donated to the homeless at the end of the day. The service really depends on the employees who work here and most of the time they are awesome because they are down to earth, perky, and super friendly with a philanthropic attitude. The only time I disliked the service was in the morning of 11/22/16 where there were new faces among the employees. One of the employees literally grabbed a teabag with her bare hands after handling the cash at the register to make the tea, and another accidentally dropped clean cups on the floor and just picked them up to make drinks and placed the remaining cups with the clean cups. Given what I had seen on the morning of the 22nd, I don't think I will return again. Food wise, you can't go wrong with spicy shrimp & cilantro wrap. Southwestern Breakfast hot wrap is good too. Though Fully Stocked, they DO offer a small-portion option, also, if you don't want a larger item. Either way, we got very healthier breakfast food, very-fast from quick-serving, cordial, friendly, competent, staff, in a quite impressively-clean environment. It was nice but a little cold and hard We also shared the Moroccan Lentil Soup and the Quinoa Salad with Avocado and and Egg. The soup was nice and spicy and the salad was my daughter's favorite. I grab food here all the time because I work in the neighborhood. There are plenty of seats and it's a typical pret. My issue is the drinks are never that cold and when I ask for ice I get a tiny cup. When you eat there that's fine but when you're taking stuff to go it's so annoying. I'm buying a $3 soda so let me have a cup with ice and a lid. And other prets will do it. Manager, I hope your reading this. I just spend over $10. You can spare a cup. I really want to give it one star for this but if I'm honest it's convenient and I enjoy the food and variety. 5 stars for the staff here who lent me their iPhone charger and welcomed me warmly even though I came near closing time. This Pret location is by far the biggest one I've been to - it's super spacious and also great for large groups (there are lots of tables!). When you want to grab a quick bite before a meeting or an event, Pret is the place to go. I usually get chicken noodle soup or the sandwiches here, which are both great. I have been a big fan of Pret every since I visited London for the first time several years ago in the mid 90s. Back then I was on a non-existent budget and the pound was 50 pence to the dollar. We found Pret to be great for reasonably-priced sandwiches and coffee. Then flash forward to NYC present day and Pret has grown in size like gremlins! They now seem to be everywhere. But this is a good thing because Pret is a four star chain for lunch food and coffee in the morning. I must say that their coffee is above average = medium bodied and at a good price (just under $2). You can then add half-and-half, milk, and various sugars after just like at that US chain starbucks. However, a big plus is Pret is not crowded in the AM (at lunch it's much more populated). As to lunch, I really like their cheese and tomato + chicken sandwiches. All are fresh and tasty. In sum, if you live or work in Manhattan chances are there's a Pret near you so stop on into this UK import! read more

I had the chicken avocado salad, which also had cranberries and walnuts on top of mixed greens. I topped that with the balsamic dressing. Great, tasty salad.
