They tried to act like I made up the hair THEY put in MY food. Someone call OSHA bc wtf
    Brittany Z. M.

*Follow up- they didn't even refund the money. They don't answer the phone. Now I will likely have to waste my own resources to go down there again to get my money back. Throw the whole shop away. There was a nasty hair in my Broccoli quiche. Now I'm hungry and grossed out. Now I would've let it go and just told close friends if the women I notified of this issue didn't act like I made it up, and take the 2.99 brownie back because she said "you already had one." As if salt & vinegar chips, green juice, and the micro brownie will sustain me during the backbreaking work I have to do on my patients this afternoon. I'm a healthcare worker. Were burnt out. I need the sustenance to take care of y'all, but the brownie was asking for too much... You put hair in my quiche and I had to miss my entire lunch going back and forth from work to try and rectify this. Giving me an extra 1x1sq in. brownie that was 2.99, was not going to ruin your day- not nearly as much as you ruined my afternoon. It was super cold outside so I decided to treat myself and buy a warm, mini broccoli cheddar & chive mini quiche, to carry me through the day. The prices were never cheap, but they're disrespectfully insane now, so I try to avoid this place, but I thought, one time couldn't hurt. I was wrong. I buy it, excited about what's about to go down in my tummy's block party. I walk all the way back to work take the elevator downstairs, take off my winter clothes, wash my hands, clean my eating place, open my cutlery, and then my quiche, ready to DIG IN. I look down and see about 3in. of NASTY, partially embedded in the cheese, so you know it was baked in. My whole heart broke. I was STARVING. Now I'm wondering who prepared my food with their hair all over the place? This isn't your home. At work you take extra precautions. Where is OSHA where you need them?! BLOWN. I pack the food back in. Put all my stuff back on, bring my gloves this time, walk back UP the stairs (elevator only currently goes down), go back up the street and stare at the long line. My lunch has already been robbed. If I have to go elsewhere I have about 2 smooth minutes to make it happen so I walk up the manager (?), a south Asian woman, and tell her what happens, a Black (I think west African) woman comes up like Big baby Dee, starts digging in the quiche with her bare hands (I bet she didn't wash them afterward) and declares, "I DONT SEE A HAIR. WHERE DO YOU SEE A HAIR?!" This is why you take pics beforehand, bc with you rummaging around like a toddler, how can we see anything?? It's a hair, not a yacht. Peep the attached pic. She'd stormed off with the quiche by then, so I zoomed in for the manager to see, and then she offered the refund and something else to eat- thanks but, after THAT?? Ewwwww. No thank you. I'll take something sealed tho. So I opted for the small chips, a drink, and a little brownie bc I know I'll enjoy the brownie, since I purchased one earlier. Now granted, she refunds everything, including my brownie, but ma'am BFR. If I initially purchased a MEAL, and then get downgraded to chips and a drink, don't you think the LEAST you could've done is let me have the brownie since it's so tiny and the cheapest thing in the store?? She told me, YOU ALREADY HAD A BROWNIE." SO?? Why are you being petty and acting like I'm stealing from you when I was the one who was robbed of time, energy and you tried with my dignity, when you both tried to pretend I fabricated it. ZOOM IN. Don't you see that hair baked under that cheese in many places?? It is woven in- but you're actin like I wronged you. You should be too embarrassed to worry about being stingy with a 2.99 brownie. Thank you for showing me what your company stands for. You did yourselves proud.

This Prêt à Manger location in DC offers salads, soups and both cold and hot sandwiches. I visited this location around 6:30pm on a weekday. One of the refrigerated cases was covered (empty or broken?). The had a good selection of salads and cut sandwiches, but almost no selections of their soups or hot sandwiches. I picked up a pork cañitas burrito and a vegetable puree soup. I love their guava I fused lemonade (you can also have the guava on iced tea). Both the soup and the sandwich were very good. This chain also offers "toppings"(little cups of lemon wedges, fresh cilantro, croutons) for their soups, but when o asked for it I was told they had run out of them. The place was clean, the ambiance is functional. The staff was very friendly and pleasant.

I got chocolate croissant. It was not as crispy as it was before and got latte. The prices are a bit expensive. The cafe is neat and clean. Location is great. Service was fast.

Stopped in to get food to go for our flight back to San Diego. Convenient but expensive. Didn't try the food yet but will update the review once back in San Diego.

This review is specifically about the veggie sandwich. $9 for two pieces of bread, 3 slices of cucumber, some arugula, and 2 spoonfuls (maybe less) of avocado? Really? Pret can do better. The avocado did not even cover 1/3rd of the bread. Very annoying. (But the lentil soup is good).

At 7:30 am this restaurant was buzzing with customers. I knew that the day ahead of me was going to be a long day, so I wanted to get a fast breakfast which may be my only meal until late afternoon. When I came in there was already a small line of customers waiting to order. They had a couple of breakfast sandwiches already prepared and heated in the case so I pocked-up the Bacon Egg & Cheddar. Then I ordered a regular sized Chai Latte at the counter. It was ready a few minutes later, and I took a seat and began to go thru my work emails. I had a nice experience, and the restaurant is quite spacious with plenty of space to sit and move around. The various breakfast and lunch options that they offer here along with a great assortment of coffee and smoothie drinks, is what I like most about this restaurant.

I don't Pret-end to like Pret, I just like it, can you blame me? The sandwiches are actually good and they give the leftovers to the homeless, I've been told and heard many times. There are a slew of sandwich shops in Washington DC and ironically, in an overrated sandwich city, Pret actually have better sandwiches and most of the popular places. This one is totally palatial and huge and a really nice place to hang out, and as usual products are good and service isn't bad either, and you have to love that they give their leftover food to homeless people.

I was just here and some of the staff are friendly but the place is not clean, the person who came out with my drink (with scarf on head in picture) was so rude and berated me in front of other customers for having airpods on.... I didn't have any music playing at all, and she was actually speaking very quietly for a loud place so I didn't hear her say my drink name. Anyway.... not a place I'd go unless desperate for food or coffee quick

But maybe that's better for them too. You can order to-go at the window and/or request a spot in the limited spaced dining/bar area. I've only gotten the Sub Club the few times I've gone here but what can I say? its a fail proof staple that is hard to get wrong and that they do very right. I often pair it with one of their drinks, this time being the spicy ginger ale which was solid as well. There's really not much place to dine-in if you're trying to dine and go - I recommend only using the dining area if you're solo, a couple, or part of a small group (at MOST maybe - a hard maybe - on 4 people) and only if you want to use the bar. One couple tried to squeeze in a baby stroller into the bar/dining area. Its really not suitable for things like suitcases or strollers so if you're in that camp maybe try some other spots because that also made a tiny space all the more difficult to navigate. Also, if you have a mobility device, this might not be the best spot for you either. I've never used their restrooms before so can't comment on that one. I still will say it is good for when you want to grab and go - so if you're in that category, and you like moderately priced sandwiches (for this part of town) this might work for you.

Most people order their sandwiches to go. The line can get pretty long, but you get through at a decent pace, I wouldn't say fast. Simple and straightforward ordering process, just remember what you ordered because they don't take names. I go between the Crunchy Boi and the Marisa Tomei Eats Free, which are both great. The Crunchy Boi is probably their most popular sandwich and it's lighter than you would think considering it's filled with potato chips. I think it's worth trying once. The Marisa Tomei, on the other hand, has never failed me. It's balanced with an absurd amount of arugula against the meat, and it's never dry. The portions are generous, like you could definitely split it into two meals, but they're not so heavy that you couldn't finish a sandwich in one sitting.

I heard good things about their sandwiches. My go to is normally Mangialardo's on Pennsylvania Ave in SE DC or Carl's Subbs on Rhode Island Ave in NE DC. I think I will stick to both of them next time. The staff was very friendly and helpful to me as a first timer but the sandwich was totally disapointing! NOT worth it, at all. I ordered a 9 inch capicola, ham, and cheese sub on the hard roll. The roll was very good and fresh but I couldn't taste the cheese or meat in the sandwich because there wasn't enough of it. I tasted the bread, the toppings of lettuce, tomato and onions. I decided to deconstruct the sandwich and found exactly 4 very thinly sliced pieces of meat and 2 very thinly sliced pieces of cheese as pictured clearly in the photographs. I also noticed that the they have different prices for the same type of meats. For example, they have a $29.99 per pound Capicola and one for $9.99 a pound. I asked which went on the sandwich and of course it was the cheaper one. That wasn't surprising and getting my sandwich back to the office. I decided not to eat the rest of the meatless sandwich and just take the loss. I wouldn't come back nor would I recommend a friend to try it
