My wife and I dined here on 15 April. Wife had the seared Salmon and I had the NY Strip steak. It was the BEST steak I have had in more than a decade. This place has very good food and service. The atmosphere is nice. The wedge salad was good but not great. The steak was cooked very well and the meat was quality. Went for Valentine's Day and had impeccable service from start to finish and delicious courses. The strip and filet were perfection, the suggested wine pairings with each course were excellent and dessert was divine. Had a great meal. Steak was actually cooked way they said it would be... Medium was pink throughout, not brown on ends pink in middle but pink to the edge. Service at the bar was excellent and there is a bar menu if you want something lighter or less pricey. Bar might have specials on Monday's and Tuesday's such as half price meals. Great food service and atmosphere. Walked to the theater after dinner and it was perfect. Also, the waitstaff knew we were going to the show, so they hustled, which I really appreciate. My initial impression of this place was that it felt like a fake restaurant. You know when you watch Punk'd or a game show with a restaurant and the restaurant doesn't look quite real? I'm not sure what it was about it, but it felt fake. It may have had something to do with the fact that I was sitting on the wall with a long bench that was highly uncomfortable. I couldn't believe an upscale place like this (and a place we spent about $250 for two) had such an option for sitting. But whatever, we proceeded with our meal like it was a real place. Turns out, it is real a place. And the food was quite good. We started with a wine suggestions that was pretty good. Then, we had a crab bake and it was too cheesy and there were big lumps of crab. The lobster bisque was SUPER thick, but very flavorful. The steak I had was perfectly cooked and amazing. The steak my husband had was slightly undercooked, as was the lamb, but it didn't bother him one bit because it was so good. We ordered onion rings as a side (my husband's favorite) and they came with a steak sauce for dipping. It wasn't my ideal combo, so I asked for something creamy and he brought a blue cheese dip that was really nice. Our waiter was quite helpful and pretty relaxed. That's nice because sometimes these places are pretty stuffy. We will be back for another celebration dinner soon. read more

PRHYME is a great spot to grab some drinks or eat some really great steak or lamb. I have tried the rib-eye and the 4 bone lamb chops. Personally my favorite was the lamb but I have yet to try the filet. The atmosphere in the bar area was pretty relaxed and the time I was on my own I struck up a good conversation with the staff and a regular. Price point was a bit on high side but both food and drink were spot on the staff was very courteous. I will definitely be back and recommend this place highly. read more

This is our go to for a wonderful dinner. The service is always fantastic. The food is phenomenal. We've been to many steak houses throughout Tulsa and the country and feel that Prhyme is on par with the best. Definitely our favourite in Tulsa. Not only is the main dining room delicious but the burgers in the bar cannot be beaten. We have also enjoyed a couple of the cocktail dinners that have been held. Great drinks prepared to compliment each dish. The food is wonderful but the service makes Prhyme spectacular. The servers are very knowledgeable but not pushy or overbearing. read more

Ribeye Ateak was D-licious I knew it would be good but this was off the charts great! A little pricy at $49 for Just the steak. It didn't include side dishes salad or anything. It was our Annivesary so it was a treat. They do have a 1/2 price Monday and Tuesday only in bar and off the bar menu. read more

We had tickets to see Million Dollar Quartet at the PAC so were looking for a downtown restaurant. Prhyme was the perfect choice. Very classy decor and service was first class, including bringing a stool to place my purse on so it would not be on the floor! The crabmeat appetizer and blue point oysters were very good, but the lobster salad was the perfect entree for me We will definitely be back, and I hope soon! read more

What an excellent experience. From the valet parking to the last sip of wine, it was all great. We celebrated our 27th anniversary there and have found a new place to celebrate. Went on a Tuesday . all bar food was half off and delicious . I would highly recommend the meat loaf. Drinks was fabulous (tea infused vodka to make an Arnold palmer). Been there twice. Each time it took about 45 min. to get my order in a half empty restaurant and when I got the order it wasn't what I ordered. The last time I was so hungry I just ate what I was given but when I cut-in it wasn't cooked the way I asked in after the server confirmed how I wanted it cooked. To top it of the server was rude and unhelpful. There are plenty of good stake houses in Tulsa but Prhyme isn't one of them. Expensive, bad product, bad service. read more

Second time we've been treated like third class by the hostess. First time, shame on them, second time...shame on me. Trying hard to remain a Justin Thompson fan but noticing a pattern here. Great food and deplorable treatment aren't a winning combination. Quit going to Tavolo due to a waiter who was more concerned with the television in the bar than serving our table. At least he was civil. Tonight we were told by the male hostess that we should have a spot open any moment. Shorty after our red headed hostess escorted us to the bar area to be seated, another hostess from the front rushed around the corner and openly argued with our attendant. Wouldn't look at or discuss with us, and proceeded to tell her we were NOT next on the list. Don't get me wrong, I play by the rules but her tone and body language were not friendly in the least. We were told by two different hosts we were up. NOONE was in the waiting area and when she finally chose to address us after belittling the girl helping us to our seat, we were treated like unwelcome intruders. As you wish. We will gladly go where we are welcome. As for anyone reading this who might be considering Prhyme, best of luck. read more

I booked this place based on a Yelp review from Rob and I'm happy I did! He's right, the staff is friendly and well-informed. We had their shrimp cocktail and crab cakes for an appetizer, DELICIOUS! For the main course we did the 12oz tenderloin and New Zealand rack of lamb, DELICIOUS! Also, they had our favorite Two Hands Shiraz and the wet, NOT MOIST, carrot cake. Met for business dinner after a long journey with clients. Service was very good, had nice wine list but only had limited quantities(one bottle) in the two we choose. My clients had ribeye and filet ordered medium rare, they were burnt and very small. I shared a bone in extra large off the menu steak and it was good, not great. Atmosphere is not up the the price point standard they charge. We were seated near the street window and every time a car would start up we contended with the headlights. I expected more for a $700 business dinner, and would especially liked to have have pleased my clients which did not happen. read more

My first experience at Phryme will be my last. Way over priced for what you get and the waiter was very unprofessional. He gave us what we didn't order and didn't even make any suggestions. The crostini was the size of a dime and it was compliments of the chef wasn't even enough to taste. I ordered a creme brulee and a pressed coffee for dessert and buy the time we were done eating the brulee he brings the coffee. Horrible timing. We overheard a waiter at another table giving all kinds of great suggestions and was friendly but not at our table. Visited Prhyme tonight and was very disappointed. Service was good but the steaks were mediocre at best. I have had better steaks at Long Horn or Texas Roadhouse for half the price. We did not have reservations but the staff easily accomodated our group of 6. Service was excellent. We had the crab cake which was spot on. Our group was a mix of inexperienced to very experienced diners with this type of restaurant. Our servers were very patient with those who had lots of questions. Some of us were dressed very casual and others business casual the staff treated us with excellence. OK, back to the food! We had an assortment of appetizers. We also had 1 petite filet, 3 ribeyes of varying temperatures, the berry salad and I had the tartar as my entree. We added the potatoes augratin, Mac and cheese, and pomme frittes . The courses were well timed and executed perfectly. They make their own BBQ sauce which was perfect for the fries. Very comprehensive wine list. I highly recommend this place when in Tulsa. I almost forgot the carrot cake and chocolate cake are very tasty but alas we were so full that we could not finish them! read more

I thought this was a great steak place in Downtown Tulsa. I had the grass-red 10oz fillet and my wife had the 16oz Ribeye(which was huge!). She asked if they had a smaller portion which they did not. I got a local OKC beer which wasn't too bad. The Caesar was ho-hum..nothing too spectacular. Bread was good. My fillet was perfectly cooked. So was my wife's ribeye. Overall was very good it just didn't seem to live up to the price. We've been to Mahogany and Fleming's and had the same cuts of meat for the same price and been VERY pleased. Chocolate pie was probably the highlight of the meal. They offered this as complimentary because of the 16 top that was say behind us that seemed to back them up in the kitchen. We didn't receive our entree until about 45mins to an hr after we ordered! Overall we were there for 2 hours!! We seem to like the other steakhouses better but still love the other Justin Thompson restaurants in the area. read more

My husband and I made reservations last week for dinner. We arrived and the atmosphere was very nice. We were seated and ordered wine. It took at least 10-15 minutes before they brought us the wine. Our server made it sound as though he'd forgotten. Next we ordered salad and were told our bread would be out shortly. We got the salad and after we'd finished more than half of it our server said "Oh you need bread. I'll be right back." He then went to talk to the table of 6 near us and then went to talk to the hostess. By the time he brought our bread we were finished with our salad. He was more interested in serving the larger table and talking to the hostess constantly than serving us. We received our steaks, lamb chops and scallops. My steak was just as I had ordered it. My husband's steak and lamb chops were not cooked long enough as he had requested. Overall, not impressed considering we spent $185 before tip. The waiter definitely needs to pay attention to what he's doing with each customer and not just those that may be spending more money. And also not spending time flirting with the hostess. We were really looking forward to our dinner and unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. Here's hoping management will read this review and speak to their wait staff about providing better service in this upscale steakhouse. read more
