    Turtle cheese cake

A small, cozy atmosphere; everyone was very friendly and attentive. We were seated right away by the owner, who was warm and welcoming. We started with the crab cake, which was very good and had a little spinach on top. We then had the lobster bisque, and to me, it tasted like tomato soup. The bread was just sooooooo good, my husband kept asking for more. The medium-rare filet mignon was cooked perfectly, accompanied by garlicky mashed potatoes that were incredibly good. My husband had the New York Strip, which he said was very delicious. Our desserts were the carrot cake and the turtle cheesecake, both of which were delightful. Our waiter was lovely and attentive.

Stopped in for a midday dinner with my family today. The restaurant is right on the square, and luckily we found great parking even with Oktoberfest happening at the pavilion. We started with the fried mash balls. Super tasty, though the plating was a little unusual (they came with some lettuce and what seemed like an Italian island style dressing?). Regardless, everyone at the table enjoyed them! They do serve bread and a herb butter - we LOVED IT. For the kids, we ordered the Alfredo with chicken and the chicken tenders. The Alfredo was delicious but a bit pricey at $17 for a kid's meal ($6 to add chicken). The chicken tenders were solid and came with wedge fries for $9. I shared the New York strip (medium rare) with mashed potatoes and asparagus with my husband. The steak leaned more on the rare side but was still flavorful and tender. It does come with bone marrow which was a nice surprise. The mashed potatoes were delightful, creamy and seasoned perfectly. The asparagus, while nicely flavored, was a bit firm and there were only about five spears, which felt a little light on portion. However, the steak was a great size although a bit fatty in some areas. Also, the salad that comes with this steak meal was a great size and very well prepared. Our waitress was wonderful! She even brought out what looked like the restaurant's own seasoning blend (in the plastic bottle and all) for us to try at the table, something I've never seen at a nicer spot before, but honestly loved because it added great flavor. We also ordered the lobster bisque, and it was rich, flavorful, and presented nicely. Definitely a solid 4/5. To drink, I tried their apple cider margarita as a mocktail, and it was delicious, the perfect fall inspired drink. All in all, a really enjoyable meal with great service and cozy vibes. Would definitely come back to try more! The only downside was we asked for a porterhouse but were told they were on the way to the restaurant which is why we went with the strip. We will have to try that next time we come!

Went here for the first time. I was a little hesitant after reading some not so great reviews. Service was great. They have fun drinks. I ordered the filet and it was excellent. Will definitely go back.

One important thing to note about seating is that some of the tables are high-top bar tables. I happen to have a disability, so had they assigned our reservation with one of those tables it would have been a problem because it's hard for me to get up and down in those seats. The service was A-1! From the hostesses to the wait staff and management. They were extremely attentive throughout our meal. Instead of just putting the appetizers on the table, our waiter plated them for us. This is probably the only misstep during our meal. He assumed that all of us wanted a piece of each app instead of asking each of us which app we wanted. We ordered stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta. A couple people didn't like mushrooms. Also, we had more people joining us so by plating all the apps upfront there wasn't enough for the rest of our party. Even still he was a great waiter. The food was phenomenal! I got the steak and eggs from the brunch menu. The cut of steak was like a hanger steak. When I say cooked and seasoned to perfection!?! It was one of the best restaurant steaks I've had. Our entire table enjoyed the food we ordered, including the cocktails. The food is pricey, but for an elevated experience or special occasion it is absolutely worth the visit!

She was very happy to be able help in any way to make me comfortable and was just a joy to have. My first course was the Iceberg wedge BLT, with my cocktail smoked old fashioned. For the second course I spoiled myself with the filet medallions with lobster tail Oscar style accompaniment sides; truffled mac&cheese, and crab fried rice with mushrooms and scallions. Sheeeshh! That meal was phenomenal! Lobster sat perfectly on top of the beef medallions as they both were served and with gratitude I ate every bit of it! Truffled Mac & cheese were so cheesy it was a perfect mouthful. The rice also had some delicious flavors that enticed my tastebuds with savory goodness! Everything was GOODT! We started with the meatball appetizer, which was outstanding. The meatballs were incredibly light, tender, and flavorful, and the accompanying focaccia was just as impressive. It was fresh, crusty, and perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce. For my entrée, I ordered the rigatoni. The house-made pasta was cooked perfectly, and the slightly spicy tomato sauce had just the right amount of heat. The generous portion of sausage made the dish hearty without being overwhelming, and the portion size was spot on. My wife ordered the ravioli, which was served in a rich and creamy sauce that was absolutely delicious. Like my dish, the fresh, house-made pasta really stood out and elevated the entire meal. Between the beautiful setting, excellent service, and outstanding food, Terrace Room delivered a fantastic dining experience. We'll definitely be back!

I made a 6:30pm reservation and noted the occasion, and the staff sweetly sat us right by the window with a stunning view of Lake Michigan. I started the night with an Aperol Spritz. While their menu doesn't explicitly label items as gluten-free, I had called ahead and knew they could accommodate me. The appetizer options were a bit limited, so we shared the Brussels to start, followed by the corn and tomato risotto for my main, which was delicious. Our server was relatively new but incredibly attentive, even making sure to double-check with the kitchen that everything was safely GF. They offer multiple gluten-free options for mains and desserts, including GF pasta. We shared the ricotta cheesecake, and our server also brought out a complimentary chocolate mousse with orange slices and a birthday candle. They were covered in the demi glace. Also I had a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The plate was NOT hot. The steak was warm at best. Could have been HOT. Especially if you are paying $50. The potatoes were COLD. I sent them back. The new potatoes I received were ALSO COLD. Unacceptable. You should not have to send cold food back twice. I was also told I could get the vegetables instead but would take long. We waited. They never came. Even asking our server at the end she said it's included in the price so there is nothing she can do. Salad was watery. Should have dried the lettuce before serving.
