Kim provides some of the best customer service I have ever experienced, hands down. She is welcoming, kind, respectful, and pays attention to every detail. No matter how busy it was, she always had a smile on her face and made every customer feel appreciated. Worst service I've ever received. Attitude of the people here are extremely rude. My first slice was cold and not properly reheated. Second slice I received it was a tad bit warmer but not reheated to a good temperature. The second slice they gave, the server decided to just throw it on the counter and walk away immediately. Turns out they couldn't fulfill it and I was offered 1/3 of what was paid for. I canceled the order that I Drove 35 minutes each way for. The place was understaffed, perhaps an unlucky day being Friday the 13th and I'm not superstitious. Waited 25 minutes in line. Manager seemed annoyed and made me feel super uncomfortable. Service was very slow, not attentive, left there disappointed and embarrassed. It's a shame because I've heard great reviews. The whole place was filled with smoke of burnt oil, not a pleasant scent. Perfect New York style pizza in Malibu! Felt like I was back in the city again eating some delicious pizza. They have plenty of selection for whatever you're craving. On this particular day, I was feeling a basic cheese slice, and it was pretty good. The mozzarella sticks were not something I would order again. They had a funky aftertaste. Spit them out right away thinking they were rotten. The cashier at the front was super friendly and helped me choose the best pizzas from the menu. Id come back! I lived in NYC from 2016-2023 and Prince Street was a big part of both my drunk and sober nights when I was there so in coming out to LA I was excited to see that there was one out here. Had a hankering for pizza last night and decided to give it a try. Normally I opt for the spicy spring but I wanted a standard NY pie last night so I got half cheese (my pick) and half mushroom for a friend. It was delivered quickly and hot. I thought it was good but not great. The crust ratio was a little off and it could have had considerably more sauce. But the flavor was there and it definitely had a good dough, even if there were too much of it. Not sure I would rush to order again, but it satisfied the craving that I was having. read more

I heard a lot of good stuff about this place from my brother in Chicago and it's been on my to go list for a long time. We were in town for the weekend and didn't want to do a fancy dinner. We got two slices - both weren't very good at all. Originally we ordered 3 but the guy serving us / cashier didn't acknowledge the third so we just decided to get two so we didn't feel like we were bothering him. He was rude and had a bad attitude towards us. That, and didn't bother to hand us our salad. Just kept it on the side of the counter until I asked if it was ours. The Caesar salad was rubbery, and the countertops were dirty with all the utensils. We sat outside to eat and were grossed out by how sweet and greasy the pizzas tasted and how old the salad was. I just came home and I have to admit. I really love this pizza but I didn't hesitate to order the meat lovers when I came in, but there was another piece of pizza that everyone should try. It looks like they took meat sauce with marinara and put it over the top, which is like all the best parts of spaghetti and all the best parts of pizza and I have to agree. It is really good. I love the indoor seating and I love the parking because it was really easy to get to for a place like this I can see that I'm gonna be coming back a lot more. If you've followed my Yelp journey, you already know: I'm a Bostonian pizza snob. I'm also half Sicilian, and I worked at multiple pizza joints in my younger years--ostensibly to pay the bills, but really just to impress girls (spoiler alert: it didn't work). I rarely find pizza in LA that's even worth talking about. And I'm not talking high-end Neapolitan stuff from white-tablecloth Italian restaurants. I mean real, neighborhood-joint pizza. You know the kind. (No, CPK does not count. Don't you dare.) So on this fateful weekend trip to Malibu Country Mart, I was in a mood. A bitch mood, to be exact. And I'll admit--I came here ready to rip this place apart. Like, I wanted to hate it. I came looking for a fight... ...and I would've lost. Is it the best pizza in LA? Too early to say. But it's very good. And more importantly? My three Boston-born kids loved it. If you think I'm a pizza snob, you haven't met my oldest son. This kid grew up on a dough table in our old Boston pizza shop and is basically a pizza gangsta--and he went back twice for the Prince Perfection (a marinara-only pie!). I was dumbfounded. But when it comes to pizza, he doesn't miss. As for me, the Naughty Pie was the standout. Ever since I moved to LA, vodka sauce pizza has become my guilty pleasure--and with all the meat fixings, this one hit all the right notes. My youngest had the meat lover's, and his review was: "very good." (Which, in kid-speak, means winner.) Bonus discovery: Espresso soda. A bit sweet for me, but surprisingly paired perfectly with the pizza. Didn't expect that. Final verdict: I came ready to destroy this place. Instead, I found myself planning a return trip. I disagree with the negative reviews. I come to Prince at least 2 times a week and I find everything here above board. First, the staff is wonderful. Tina is always nice, Moises helps with our larger orders without a problem, Kim is beyond kind and always makes us smile, the new boy (I don't know his name yet) is super energetic and helpful with bar service. The food sometimes is a wait but that's usually weekends. You do need to pay attention to when your name is called though. Sometimes it's easy to miss and stuff gets cold which sucks. But they always make good on it if that happens. One time I had to wait an extended period of time for several slices and Kim was nice and gave me a drink on the house. Tina always has a good attitude and is "of course" willing to go the extra mile. The pizzas are well made. I wouldn't pay attention to people who are obviously having bad days and give prince a try. It's one of the best pizza places in malibu with ultra friendly service. read more

Pizza is as varied and as personal a preference as they come. This is the ultimate cravable late night munchie with the perfect blend of sweet, fat and carbs. It's not pizza in the traditional sense, think of the old numer Uno style blended with your memory of School Pizza... But in a good way. Sometimes you want a traditional thin crust, good old style New York, or something that tastes oddly like a savory dessert.... This absolutely fulfills that last quest. It's perfect for taking over to the playground if you are watching a bunch of Littles, but I'm personally not a fan of, playground or parking lot dining... So no points for ambiance from me. I would say get some on your next midnight munchie binge but I think they close at like 9, so you'll have to think ahead. Haven't tried freezing it, but I'm guessing it would rebake pretty nicely and much better than regular pizza. read more

This location in Malibu is pretty small. It's more of a grab-and-go situation, though there is a little bit of seating in another room, but those were for those wanting a drink. There's plenty of parking since it's located in a strip mall. The workers there were very kind. We got the Four Cheese and the Sunset Square. It was pretty good even though we ate ours cold at the beach. By the register, there are condiments for you to take that elevate the taste of the pizza. A great place right near the beach. Please note that when coming in the afternoon, it is extremely packed, so you might have to park on the street (free for 2 hours, depending on the time on display). But when you come in the evening, the area is extremely dimmed. read more

Never seen a pizza place price slices/pies like this before. At Prince Street Pizza they told me the only way to order half cheese and half veggie was to buy a cheese pizza and then add toppings separately, which ended up costing even more. Every other pizza place I've been to simply charges based on the specialty half or the higher-priced half not by stacking extra topping charges in a confusing way. We ordered a whole Sunset Square pizza on a Sunday afternoon. We've ordered from Prince Street before and it's always been great, so we didn't think twice. My kids started eating and even mentioned the marinara tasted oddly sweet, but since we've had this pizza before, I brushed it off. After they had already eaten about a quarter of the pizza, I finally grabbed a slice myself--and immediately spit it out. The marinara sauce was overwhelmingly sweet, to the point where it tasted like jam, not marinara. I know it says they use sweet marinara, but this was on a completely different level. We've had this pizza before, so I know what it normally tastes like. This was not it. It genuinely felt like excessive sugar had been added, making it completely inedible. I was honestly upset that I hadn't tried it sooner and had already let my kids eat it. I immediately returned to the restaurant with the pizza and asked for a refund. The two employees were polite enough but not a single apology was offered, which was frustrating given that we paid for a product that was simply not edible. I even said I wasn't trying to be difficult and asked them to try it so they could understand what I meant. They declined and said they believed me--which is fine--but again, no apology, no acknowledgment, no sympathy. There was also an issue processing the refund because there was no manager present at first. When a young female manager (I don't recall her name) arrived, the situation still lacked any apology or concern for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed how I feel about Prince Street. Between the poor-quality pizza and the lack of customer service, I'm very disappointed. This one is loud about its flavor and quiet about everything else. The Naughty Pie is the star. The little pepperoni cups hold onto that grease like they know it is the whole point. Edges crisped to a slight char and center heavy with sauce. It is not a slice you fold and walk with. It is a sit-down moment. The Meat Lovers goes even further. It is aggressive. Thick layer of meats laid out like armor. Bold, rich, and definitely not made for moderation. You go in with commitment or you leave disappointed. The space itself is tight but does not feel claustrophobic. People stand close but no one is stepping on your shoes. The little bar to the side gives it character. It is the kind of place where you could sip a beer while waiting for a box or slide in solo and still feel like you belong. No weird energy. No fake hospitality. Just counter staff that moves fast and a system that works. Everything stays clean. That includes the bathrooms, which is rare for a spot this busy. The whole place gives off that fast hustle with a side of real chill. There is something about the mix of east coast attitude with west coast ease that makes this place hit different. It is giving small but solid. No filters needed. Just good pizza and a place that respects the slice. So disappointing! Been wanting to try Prince Street for AGES since I missed my chance in NY. I was thrilled to find out there's a location here at the Malibu Country Mart. I saw that there was a BOGO Yelp check-in, so hubby and I took advantage of it. The little pizza shop is very cute. There are photos of famous people who have tried their NY location hanging on the wall, and it also opens up to a little bar and seating area on the left of the shop. The pizza pies on display look like there were left out for awhile, we even saw a few flies flying around the display case. Nonetheless, we ended up getting a slice of the Meat Lover's and the Fancy Prince. Our total was $6.50 with the BOGO deal, which is a steal. They reheated our pizza which we really appreciated. Upon first bite of the Meat Lovers was very disappointing. The pepperoni cups had no crisp around the edges. They were thick slices of soft sausage, not the thinner kind I'm used to. The sausage bits were okay, nothing special. I did like that my slice had a lot of meat on it as promised by its name. As for the crust, very doughy. It was not crispy and was very oily. The pizza sauce was underwhelming too. Hubby's Fancy Prince tasted a bit better, but it was still very soggy and didn't hold itself up well. Overall disappointed with the taste of the pizza from here. It's not as good as we had hoped. The BOGO deal is honestly a really good deal, but not sure if its enough to make us want to come back. read more

Definitely a must if you are visiting for a weekend. Got 'The Naughty Pie' and it was one of the best pizza's I've had in a long time. We are local in Los Angeles area and if we are in the neighborhood we will grab a pie again. It is impossible to find ranch in Malibu as they don't sell it, the burger spot next door was out, and Whole Foods happened to be out. But honestly needed nothing additional, would recommend double cut though. read more

Check in on Yelp for BOGO free as of 7/19/24! Came here with a group of friends around 5PM on a Friday evening as we saw the Yelp BOGO offer. We each ordered 2 slices and they were quickly heated up for takeout. Prince Street can be on the oily side as oil collects in the small cup shaped pepperoni, however the freshness and taste make quite the treat! I ordered the naughty pie and spicy Italian and thoroughly enjoyed both. For any friends that are on the lactose intolerant side, I'd recommend taking a Lactaid before the naughty pie as the ricotta can be a bit strong for the stomach. Overall, I enjoyed the pizza, the convenience, and the location amongst other shops/food spots - would recommend! read more

I have been going to this pizza place for a while, but I normally go to a different location. I was nearby so I went to this location I'm very disappointed I ordered slices of pizza. My total was $40. He gave me my box of pizza when I got to the car my son was like what is that smell? I opened the pizza to give him a slice of pizza and the pizza is burnt!!!. I touched it. It was burnt crunchy very bad, hard rock..anyway I got off and I went to return the pizza. The guy was not able to process a refund, he said it would take him a while so he took down my number. He said he would call me back regarding the refund within one hour. I trusted in him because I wanted to be nice, but he did not call me back within the promissed time and I did not get my refund process. He could not remake my pizza because it would take a very long time like 1 hr... No rushhh no courtesy to rush my order and be apologetic... they were backed up and according to the other Employee, the oven was not working. It was burning all the pizzas which is very disappointing because why is he serving the pizzas like that if he knows oven is burning them.. extremely disappointed because now I don't even have my refund he did not make my pizza.
