ProPacific Pest/TruHeat Solutions: Company assured us that heat was the best treatment to kill anything that crawls. Jerome the sales person was very polite and gave the estimate of $1900 to treat our 845 sq.ft. apt. But then said we should add the additional chemical spray treatment afterwards for another $250, just to make sure. All paid in full, in advance. We did all the prep for the heat treatment, the technician arrived as promised, Oct 22, 2020, sent us on our way and told us to return after 6 pm. We left and then got a call saying the one room would void our 60 day guarantee. We accepted that because everything was not removed from the walls. (nowhere to move the items). They told us the apt. would be heated to 130-135 Fahrenheit, for approx. 5 hrs. Even roaches will die at 125. Imagine our horror to see live roaches crawling on our living room floor when we returned. What happened? Not the proper heat? The equipment failed? They did not hold the heat for 5 hrs? There were lots of dead bugs, but there were nests of live bed bugs still living in the sofa. Thus, we had to throw the sofa out to prevent re-infestation. We have no where to sit now until new sofa arrives. Now our total cost is up to approx. $3000. The day after the heat treatment (Oct 23) we got a call from Jose saying he would be at our apt in 25 mins. for chemical spray. Wow! 25 mins notice to get a cat and guinea pigs packed up to leave again for 2-4 hrs. He was very nice and apologized for what happened with the heat treatment. Thanks, but apologies do not get rid of bugs! He sprayed, I guess. Since throwing the sofa out, we have not seen bed bugs, but we do still see roaches. Jose called to report our problem to the office and said they would get back to us. So far, nothing. read more

They came out for ticks, problem persisted. my neighbor told me he seen tech theowing pellets not spraying as should be done when problem already out of control. came and left without even knovking or ringing the bell one time. most techs really great and professional tho. my yard absolutely flooded at one point so i stopped service. the insisted the come out harrassing me with calls and emails. i said enough dont come nomore. they tried to say i was on contract but i knew i was not. amy sneed actually sent me a contract with someone elses name saying they would charge me using that form. i said hello have you looked at that. thats a different customer and like i said i was month to month. she then says if i dont tell her who it is shell still charge me. what the heck. yeah way too many companies out there to deal withthat crap. be careful. read more

Pro Pacific was very professional! Called before they came over for each appointment time, were clean and wore shirts that identified who they worked for with their personal names in clear view. They wore masks and observed the required spacial distancing due to the world wide virus! Each employee was currently informed of our problem (a gopher) before arriving and listened to our new issues. They spent time going over all options that were available so we could make the best decision for our situation... which was coming once a week for 3 weeks and then once a month for the remaining year. I used Pro Pacific Bee and Pest Control because of a yelp deal to remove a wasp nest that was forming outside our house. Aaron was fantastic and did the job efficiently and effectively and was able to give me a discount on top of the yelp deal! (He's the only reason why I'm not giving a 1 star review) Anyway, Pro Pacific's Backoffice operations is an absolute mess. First they did not know how to apply the yelp coupon, then they charge me the wrong amount on my credit card, call me about their mistake (and i told them to bill me for the difference and send me a receipt), then they send me different invoices for different billing amounts that have already been billed to my credit card! Not only did I receive different invoices, i received duplicate invoices on different dates! When I try to resolve the billing, i'm told to call back because their customer service person did not understand how to read the invoice and that they had to call me back once they understood what was going on with the billing (which they never called me and I had to follow up with them 3-4 times before we were on the same page and finally resolve the bill). No Joke, it took 5-6 phone calls over a month just to resolve payment. This is super annoying since I travel a ton for work and don't need sloppy management like this to add to my already busy schedule. read more

3 words -- PROFESSIONAL CON ARTIST. They quoted us $250 for 4 visits and assured us that they would "take care of the problem". At visit #1, they set out the traps in the garage, and said they'd come back 3 more times, each 7 days a part to check the traps. They came back visit #2 and found that 1 of the traps snapped, bait gone, but no rat. They came back visit #3 and found 2 more traps had snapped but nothing. Visit #4, one rat caught but since it was the last visit, they put all the traps away. When we asked about their "money back guarantee" and reminded them that they promised to take care of the problem, they told us the "plan" we signed up for did not include their "guaranteed service". We told them the guy who gave the estimate only said it would be $250 to do the job, they responded that they would be happy to discuss other plans after we pay our bill. Shortly thereafter, they started leaving recorded nasty grams almost daily saying we were delinquent and our unpaid bill would be sent to collection agency. Not only we lost money on these guys, our garage was even more infested after a month of waiting for them to do their job, which they never completed. So we paid our $250 lesson learned and found a local pest control guy. Within a couple of weeks, he caught 3 rats and even helped us cleared out some of the junk from our garage. This company was extremely understanding when it came to the issue we had with what turned out to be a very evasive and large rat. They set traps in the right places and even closed up holes the rat had made in the wall. They have regularly stopped in to check and freshen the bait throughout the entire house. Outside monitoring of the minor invasion continues. Although it was not one of their traps that caught the rat, they set up the environment needed to send the rat into another trap. He said they wouldn't be able to come out until the next day but he told me what to do in the meantime. The next day Jeremy and Travis came out and quickly took care of the situation. Do NOT use this Pest Company. First of all they are liars, they charge you an 80$ monthly fee, but then charge you a fee for every job they do on your property. They on several different occasions did not show up for scheduled appointments and make constant excuses. We had a swarm of bees that blocked us in our house and settled at the base near our daughters bedroom window. We've had 2 bouts of bee invasion of our house and didn't want another one. Our last one was in 2009 and my husband has been able to 'scare' off any swarms out hunting until yesterday. We called Pro Pacific as soon as the bees settled near the window. They said they could come that day but had 2 other sites to visit first. They came out within two hours and we're able to extract them, plug the hole and clean up the area, unfortunately they couldn't save the bees because they had settled into the wall already. When it counts they are not helpful... When I signed up with Pro Pacific I asked for the prices on both bugs and rodents but since I just moved in I wasn't sure what I needed. They did my first service when my contractor was still there so they came back out a week later. After 4 visits I still had spiders so I called again to have them come out and asked about the rodent control again and he said it would be $35. I decided to wait until I knew what and where the problem was, when I did that and called them out again to set up the rodent the $35 turned into $250 for a three week service then another $45 a month and $35 per each bait box. What a scam, since they never got rid of the spiders I cancelled my service but since I had a contract for a year they charged me an additional $87 they said they discounted at the beginning of my service. Lost a lot of money with these people and they never got rid of anything. When you have just had the inside of your house sprayed the last thing you expect to see is a centipede chasing you down the hall. Don't waste your money... read more

Wow! I have to update my below review, Tad called me, listened to the trouble I'd had and refunded me $60 dollars for the treatment he believed I was overcharged for. Really appreciate this type of customer service taking a 1 star to 3. Initial customer service was great, she answered all my questions and was very friendly. I was quoted $225. I have a very small 1 bedroom apartment, and when the exterminator came, he said the charge for 2 treatments would be $360. I'm not 100% convinced we even had an infestation but wanted to be safe. He couldn't find any fleas in the whole apartment. When we asked why so expensive when we'd originally been quoted $225, he tried to haggle and had no reasoning and finally got down to $260. When I called to pay my bill and told the customer service person what had happened, she was very rude and just said, "If you don't like it, you shouldn't have gotten the treatment." She said the reason it was higher was because of "the situation." You mean the situation that he couldn't even find a single flea in the apartment? Ok. Glad to know you just want to see how much you can get people to pay. By the way, the "treatment" was one guy with a tiny little spray can which looked to be the same as what we bought from Petco. The only brightside of this experience is that there seem to be no fleas, though I never saw any to begin with, so who knows. read more

Great service and very efficient. Over the course of a month, I had a few different workers come out to check the traps and patch some holes on the outside of the house where critters might crawl in from outside. Each worker that came out was on time, friendly and helpful, and worked with me to help save money while still handling the problem I called them out for. One of the things they did to help rat-proof a hole under an eave also eliminated a recurring bird-nesting problem I've been having, even though that was not what they were called out for.
