Bad customer service, he came to do a full repair for me a year ago and he had stated that that his work of welding was guarantee. I contacted him again this year and told him over the phone that the system is out of freon again and im sure is a leak. Which was what he charged me for. He came out stated he was going to charge a service fee. He was at my house 10 min and called me to tell me the unit had no freon which was the original reason why I called him for. I'm very upset and I felt played and humiliated for charging me for something he didnt even check or do anything. For this reason I didn't even pay the fee the second time. Bad service and he doesn't guste guaranty his work. My original reason for calling him was because he is the only person that has worked on my unit and i though it works new a good idea to not have anyone else touch the system. read more

We used Protech to fix our refrigerator. There were a couple of things wrong with it. The tech diagnosed a problem with the defroster and took care of it but did not address the leaking water dispenser. He told my husband that we would need to make another appointment and pay a separate service fee. I called our home warranty company to set it up and Protech refused to accept the work order. They wouldn't answer or return my calls either. I see now why they have a terrible rating. read more

There are no words to explain the professionalism that I received from the Technician "Fernando". Fernando worked on my refrigerator that involved freon issues. After diagnosing the unit needing Freon and that refrigerator was not making ice and not holding at the correct temp.....He mentioned that he needed authorization to move forward to repair the unit due to the regulations and laws when dealing with Freon......Fernando returned back to my residences 1st opening appointment less than 48hrs to repair my Frig. Nope. Not unlike many others, we were assigned them through our home warranty company. An initial visit was made and we were told parts would need to be ordered and they would call us in a week. Yeah....that didn't happen. We called them, they never answered their phone and never returned our messages. A month after being assigned to them, our appliance was still broke with no hope. Had to call our home warranty to get assigned a new vendor. Quick n' Easy Repair called us, made and appointment, and fixed the issues in less than two days. read more

I would not recommend, based upon my experience... Fernando seemed to know how to fix the issue., however his office coordinator Andrea left us in predicament for weeks with a nonworking fridge. After the initial visit on June 21st, waiting weeks, she claimed she ordered the part and scheduled a repair the following week, only to then cancel it, saying the part did not arrive, blaming the manufacturer (she had no tracking number at the time).. She said she would follow up with me on more than one occasion with a new ETA or tracking and then never followed through. When she finally did have a tracking number, she told us it would be yet another week to repair. vs empathetic to the customer, she does not listen, becomes rude and defensive...hung up the phone on me and refused to give me the parts needed so that I could find someone else to repair our fridge. read more

I am the EIGHTH one-star review for Pro Tech Repair in the past 2 years! Believe the reviews! I was referred to this company by my home warranty. The owner of Pro Tech Repair, Fernando Fuentes, assessed what was wrong with our year-old dishwasher and returned Friday. After pleasantries, Fuentes' attitude turned assertive as he explained that he was going to use Bondo to repair our leaking hose and that the home warranty wanted him to do that repair (a lie, I later learned). He *told* me this was the way it was going to be. When I questioned the quality of a Bondo repair, he became even more assertive as he lowered his head in a passive-aggressive manner as if I were just another complaining customer. He responded even more assertively, announcing he was leaving the job. I asked him to please stay and my husband would handle it further, and Fuentes responded, "You had your chance," as if he were walking away from his girlfriend. We immediately called Old Republic to complain about Pro Tech and Fernando Fuentes. The customer rep apologized and assigned us a new company. This was a HORRIBLE experience. Believe the 8 most recent reviews -- go elsewhere! UPDATE: Home warranty company sent out 2nd company, Highland Appliance (909) 280-4488. Referred to by home warranty company. They never called me. I had to call them. Diagnosed dishwasher and said parts were needed and they would call me. Never happened. I call after a week and she told me one part was available and one was not and she would call me back. Never happened. I logged into warranty site and it shows case closed. We had Fernando back again today to do a list of "honey-do" jobs that my husband can't do because of health problems. Fernando and his sister assembled the rocking chairs on our patio, very precisely hung pictures on our patio, re- organized our garage, re-hung our name sign on the front of our house, and put our new license plate frame on our car. We're probably not using all his skills, but we're grateful to him for taking on these menial jobs. We have him returning on Friday to install cabinets in our garage. Apparently you get no service the week before the holidays. I opened a request from my home warranty company and they referred me to Pro-Tech Repair. They NEVER responded to me, which resulted in me having to purchase a new Refrigerator the week before Christmas. I called them directly as well but received no return call. I would not recommend ANY company that has the name "pro" in it when they aren't close to being professional. If I could give zero stars I would. They initially came out for service, through our home warranty. The problem re-appeared after 2 days, and they will not return our calls, or the calls from our home warranty company. Very disappointed that they are so unprofessional and will not even respond to repeated calls. They do not follow up with any kind of customer service or stand behind the work they do. I had a great experience with Pro Tech! I appreciate how easy Andrea is to get ahold of by phone or text. Very responsive. We had a flooded garage from a water heater connector. The work was done well and Fernando showed up as promised. The price was very fair. We were able to get the invoice emailed and paid by credit card over the phone. We had already paid one vendor to repair our dishwasher. The original repairman inspected the unit and advised us to heat the water before running the unit. That's all he did. We tried his recommendation and still ended up with unclean dishes. Fernando from Pro Tech Repair was sent to us by our home warranty carrier to provide a second opinion. He performed multiple tests and finally diagnosed that the water line was pinched by the front cover, likely caused by a home inspection. He was professional, courteous and explained everything thoroughly. He also provided helpful hints on extending the life of the unit. We will request Pro Tech Repair whenever we need a home repair. We hired this company to hang wallpaper in one room of our house. We asked if they had done this before, they said yes. They came out and and did an estimate and seemed nice so we scheduled an appointment with them. They showed up at our place on time. The employee began working. He hung the first sheet up and then we began noticing he was confused, and kept going out to his car for long periods of time talking to someone. He was in and out many times. He started at 8am it was getting close to noon and they had guaranteed to be done by 6pm. After much back and forth and sitting in his car, the employee comes to me and says there is a customers house flooding and he is needed to help with this. He assured me it will only take an hour. The hour goes by, then another and another, I call several times nobody calls me back. I look into the room where he was working and it was destroyed. He had chipped at our walls, tried grinding off the wallpaper, and had not only destroyed the wallpaper, but left his tools, and are room in shambles. It was now nearly 6pm. I myself had to try and paint the wall before my guests arrived from out of town. I have called them several times. I was even at one point told that my wallpaper had been reordered and to wait and they would come by to redo and fix what was done. It's been several weeks now. We realized they took our expensive wallpaper with them, so now we are out $200 dollars and our room is still in shambles. We are considering having the police investigate this company and find out who they are. They don't use real names and there is no address. Do not hire this company! CAUTION!!! read more

Are there more than five stars? Fernando and Andrea were beyond belief. Went the extra mile in all endeavors. We had a shower bar that needed installing but we didn't have the wall anchors. No problem they said. They went to the store and purchased them and brought them back to our home. That went smoothly then they tackled a baseboard replacement job in our guest bathroom. Sorry that I cannot comment on the service provided by this company and I never will be able to do so. I was just driving down the street and was perturbed by a very slow driver in this company's truck. I moved around the truck and had to move in front of him as I needed to turn left. The driver flipped me the birdie quite emphatically. He then repeated this action in the left hand turn lane. I certainly would not want to hire someone like this. First driving 15 miles below the speed limit and then flipping me off twice.....I wonder how professional he is on the job? read more

I cannot be more pleased with the service I received from Fernando. I recently had an issue with my Refrigerator collecting ice at the bottom shelf in the Freezer and turns out the last 2 companies the insurance sent out didn't do the Job correctly! Fernando had to melt all the ice build up in the drain tube to fix the issue. We could clearly tell the other guy who came didn't do that at all. We also had an issue with our Stove not registering the temp correctly. Turns out our Temp sensor had gone bad. And lastly he fixed my Ice maker sensor. The Ice maker was registering that the bin was full when yet there was no ice in it. He figured out the Issue and within a few hours all my appliances were up and running like new again.
