DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We had a service order done through our warranty company. Very simple. Our hot tub needed a new pump. They took a couple of weeks and installed a totally wrong pump! Completely wrong size! They also made us use our own pool technician to drain the hot tub first, which should be their job according to our warranty company. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We waited nearly 3 more weeks! And then they said they had the correct pump on the way?! And now 2 more weeks have gone by... They just emailed saying they have it in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. But TOO LATE! It's been 2 months for a common pump replacement for a common hot tub! We paid extra to just have our pool technician do it. He went to his pool supplier the same day, and did it that night... it literally took him 2 days total. This company is a scam and take advantage of people who use warranty, because there's no time contingencies. But I am here to warn you to NOT use them. They costed us some lost bookings (people had to cancel our Airbnb reservation because of hot tub not working) and caused us unreasonable stress for something they should be competent at. The absolute worst maintence company I have ever experienced, and I own 6 homes. RUN. read more

I have never trusted or liked a service that my home warranty assigned to handle my claim, until I worked with Urban Worx. As usual I encountered many issues due to my home warranty not covering services and additional costs. Back in mid August I had an issue with my AC. Called my home warrenty and Urban Works was sent out. Amanda who assessed whe repair and Thaniel who did the repairs were amazing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]From there on out dealing with the office and the absence of management when I've asked 3 times to talk to them is neglectful.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] First off I was told I needed a permit to change out the condensor. Don't think I needed it but was forced to pay for it. Then I was told that I had to get what was called HERS testing to see if I had any leaks. I had to pay Urban Works 550.00 to get that done which is a total scam as well. It took over a month once the AC was fixed to get this testing done. I now miraciously have all 11 cans or registers in my house leaking when I was told by another company I had no leaks that did an inspection on my duct work. Urban works wants to charge me $550.00 to repair all of my so called leaks that I don't think exist. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have also requested 3 times the report from AHP testing that I paid for and have yet to receive it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Bottom line do your homework before anyone even through home warranty is sent to do repairs I your home. If you have a choice, DO NOT USE!!! I have a home warranty plan. I paid the $100 deductible to AHS. Urban Worx came out and said I needed a new garbage disposal. AHS approved the replacement of my garbage disposal. Great I thought! However, I was then informed that Urban Worx said that I also required a plumbing modification. AHS gave me two options. Option A: pay $175 for a plumbing modification or Option B: pay $165 for an upgraded garbage disposal. Now mind you this was a 3/4 hp garbage disposal that had been replaced by AHS 7 years ago. If this is not a scam, I don't know what is. NOTE: Paid the $175, what other choice did I have. So hard to find service people that you can trust. read more

Dishonest. They were dispatched through my home warranty. I was told a new garbage disposal was needed but that the only one on their truck that day was an upgraded disposal so it would cost $100. I told them the one that's covered under warranty is the one I wanted so I can keep costs down. They said it would be $125 to come back another day with that part. I refused. When the diagnostic came into the home warranty company Urban Worx changed their story and said the $125 was not for returning another day but because it needs a new line (a $10 part which did need replacing). This is not what was told to me. They were lying. My home warranty company was awesome. They not only refunded me the $135 service fee but they also gave me cash to replace the disposal and line (which wasn't needed) with another contractor. They suck!!! I have a leak underneath my kitchen sink and you sent a technician from Urban Worx to repair it on 8/24/25. He only stayed in my home for approximately 5 minutes and stated he made the repair.I asked him what he did so quickly and he said that a pipe had come a loose. My sink has continued to leak from the same pipe that the technician said he repaired from 8/24/25.until present. When I called urban works plumbing they said that I have to pay again in order to get my sink repaired. read more

Urban Worx was selected as the Air Conditioning contractor by our Home Warranty Company. We were extremely pleased with the excellent service and product provided. The staff and management at Urban Worx was extremely responsive, kind, and respectful with all of our questions and requests. My contact John returned all of my calls promptly and provided me clear and detailed information. The air conditioning was not working in our rental property in Palm Springs during an extreme heat wave and record high temperatures. The technician immediately identified that a new AC condenser was required and a full report was submitted to our home warranty company in less than 24 hours. The Urban Worx team truly went above and beyond in working with us and our elderly tenant. They delivered and installed a temporary air conditioner until the new system arrived and installed the new Air Conditioning on the July 4th holiday, as a courtesy to us and our tenant. OKAY: This company Urban Worx deserves an X out. My home warranty company referred them to me to check out acleak order my sink. It was determined to meet a new faucet and the water lines that go with it. I originally paid a Service Charge of $85. They sent the service order to my company for the amount of$442.50. My warranty company said they would only approve the amount of $179. $109 labor $70 for. the faucet. Urban wanted to charge me $198.50 to replace the water lines.Parts and labor. GET THIS: I went to Lowes and bought water lines for $16.00.Again they wanted $198.50 to do that in addition to the $179. Plus the $85 Service charge. That comes out to approximately $500. To change a kitchen faucet. I think Urban Worx needs to stop overcharging we senior citizens. I am asking my friends and neighbors to be careful if they are thinking about using Urban Worx for a home project. Buyer Beware... read more

A technician from Urban Worx iin Palm Spings CA came out for First American Home Warranty to diagnose an air conditioning system that was near the end of its life. The technican only saw one compressor and completely missed a second complete system for the upstairs. Her report said I was missing a second compressor even tho it was part of a package system on the roof. This resulted in my cl;aim from First Ameriocan being denied, which is another story. I had Blair Furnace and Air diagnose the problem , Their report clearly stated I did have 2 compressors, one of which was not functioning. So use Urban Worx at your own risk. read more

We were very please when they were able to come out the same day they received the work order since it was for one of our AC's on a day that was 108. Alex texted to say he was on his way during the appointment time window. He evaluated the problem quickly and although didn't have the part with him went to get it and was back within 30 minutes. He repaired the problem, tested the work and once it was working properly his job was completed. He was professional, courteous and seemed to know his job very well. I have used this company for a few different things around the house; plumbing issues in the shower and sink, and AC Tune up and new thermostat install. They are always very professional and on time. The same tech came to my house for both services and was incredibly clean and kept me apprise to what he was doing when he had to run to get a part. What a horrible company. Please read on. Spoke to the owner directly, James all was well until they attempted to do their poor work and service when I say poor I mean POOR. Thaniel their tech come to house for an air conditioner "TUNE UP"" service that is part of my Platinum service contract. I WAS NOT HOME WHEN THEY PERFORMED THEIR SERVICE. According to my security camera he was at my residence all of 18 minutes. When I arrived home 2 days later I found my air-conditioning system going full blast and the house was 53 degrees inside. My unit had been turned off when they originally serviced it. Since it was a Saturday I called and followed the emergency instructions. texted them and called insurance company they tried to contact sent e mails called emergency number to NO avail. About 6 hours later I got a call from owner James. He made it sound like I was inconveniencing him on a weekend and that I should be happy he was responding at all. I told him that that I might send him a bill my extra electric for the 48 hours the air was left on. He was not happy to hear that and said I would have to sue him in small claims, besides telling me that if i insisted on back billing him he would delay coming out until Monday as this was NOT an emergency. I told him I was NOT staying at the house that cold as I was sick and would stay the night at a local hotel. At any rate I was able to turn off the air by going outside and pulled the power for the fuses. He said his tech would be out at 9:00am the next morning. I got up early and waited for him at 10:00 am I texted him and he responded that his tech would be here in an hour. So I got up early and NO ONE had the courtesy to call and tell me he was going to be VERY late. The tech came, Thaniel again as before and within one minute supposedly fixed the problem. BUT he never checked and NOW the airconditioner does NOT turn on at all. I am stuck now in a hot house because of their lousy service and the Tech Thaniel had the audacity to tell me that maybe I should not be so cheap and that I should pay retail to expect better service. ie do not use my insurance coverage. I am sending complaints to the state contractors board etc. This company is TERRIBLE and the owner James is rude and obnoxious. read more
