They sent Thomas out to take a look, he was very up front about the condition of the unit and advised that there was alot of issues, which we totally get. He was very thorough and took a lot of reference photos and explained what he was doing. We agreed to look at getting a new system and set up a meeting with Kyle for later the afternoon. Kyle was also amazing and went over the pricing and options, you never want to pay for a new AC unit but it's a necessity here so and they made sure we had a great deal. Installation will be later this week! I look forward to a frosty summer!

Their quote was the lowest we got, but we got what we paid for. We had them replace our HVAC a few…read moreyears ago. They did not install the correct size return vent so our heater kept overheating. It would cycle on and off every few minutes and say it was heating when no air was moving. We literally had them come out 4 times before they found out what the issue one. The first 3 times they gaslit us and said that is was our Nest or a draft in an interior wall... I think they have only one good employee because the 4th guy to show up told us he liked to get paid for his overtime and would stick around until he got to the cause of the problem. Also when they finally "fixed" the return vent to a proper sized, they botched the install and had cracks in the ceiling and random screws sticking out in places. So they had to come back again to fix that mistake.

Two word review: Honest, Responsive…read more This is my THIRD consecutive 5-star review for Rocklin Heating & Air. In the last 10 or so years in the area I've called RHA, one other place because they could get me to faster - had a bad experience, waited for RHA had an amazing experience, and decided they're going to be my ride-or-die for HVAC. I called them at 7am and by 11:30am their tech had fixed and tested everything and off to help someone else. Yesterday was the start of a heat wave and ... our AC unit quit on us. I called RHA as soon as they opened this morning at 7am, asked for Joe in particular, and they gave me a window between 10am and 12pm. Joe texted ahead of time at 10:30, diagnosed the blown capacitor, swapped it out, cleaned things up a bit, tested the coolant, answered a bunch of questions, and was on his way in just under an hour. The diagnostic was $129 and the capacitor was $186 today. By a complete and total coincidence, I had been running some experiments with home temperature sensors for the last week. You can literally see on these pictures exactly when the AC unit stopped working - and when RHA saved our bacon. The "other" place I called years ago only had a $79 diagnostic charge, but wanted to rip out and replace the entire HVAC system - and claimed we were taking our lives in our own hands by not getting it fixed with him immediately. Joe and RHA took care of everything for the diagnostic. Yeah, you can probably find someplace to charge you less for the diagnostic or maybe less for the part, but when your house is boiling hot / freezing cold, you want to be able to call on someone you can trust to help you out - and not take you for a ride.

It's so hard to find companies you can trust, but Rey's has proven themselves. They are always giving back to the community as well. West Sac or surrounding area - just call Rey's first.

Hmmmm. They use expensive AC capacitors…read more I picked out Rey's Air because it has a 4.9 Yelp rating. You can't always judge Yelp's rating by its cover. Our AC went on the blink yesterday. It's less than ten years old and is used minimally. The unit's interior house fan and exterior AC fan remained working but the compressor failed to engage. The air was not being chilled. I'm old. 76. I know that capacitors commonly fail and I have had them replaced over the years. Rey' Air quoted $79 to take a look. What could go wrong. On the positive side Rey's Air arrived promptly the next day. On the negative side, after about a half hour of perusing, the tech said that he determined that I likely have a bad capacitor. He recommended replacing it, or even upgrading to a better capacitor unit (for $200 "more") When I asked what the 'regular' capacitor replacement would be, he said $285. I hesitated. I said that's a lot for a capacitor. (Home Depot sells them for as little as $10 to $20 for the part). He said everything is expensive or something to that effect. I said okay. Let's just get it done. I did not want to go through more torment with another AC outfit. I said let's just go with the "cheaper chicken". Then the tech began adding. He said okay. "So that's 285 plus 79 (the show up fee). That's $364! (for a $10 part). I think I said 'yikes'. That is an 'expensive capacitor'. After a couple of minutes the tech relented agreeing to "only charge me" $285 for the half hour of looking (and five minute replacing). Bottom line: Fair price for fair service is all we ask. I see some gouging here. I understand that there are times when changing a capacitor's price should go up. As when there are hazardous or miserable conditions including problematic accessibility, or with lengthy or repeated driving times. None of that applied. Short drive. Open and shady and cool work space. If Rey's were to have charged $180 or even $200 for the tech's 30 minutes attendance, that would have been fair and profitable. Two star rating is best I can do. .

They replaced a driver-side CV axle, did oil changes, replaced brake pads and rotors, diagnosed and fixed an A/C and heater blower issue, repaired a trunk/liftgate problem, and also replaced a valve cover and gasket and battery. My AC Drier was cracked and inoperable since last year. In this region of the Sacramento Valley and Placer County, 916 Auto quote beat 5 shops I contacted in the region and 1 shop even told me it's not worth it and I should get a new car. Bet if my car was a 69 Camaro, they'd do it. Why? Cause its a Classic Camaro. No matter the condition. Some shops don't want to work on Imports. But oh well. Their loss, not mine. I contacted 916 Auto and spoke to Samson to schedule an appointment and he said to come by that very same day. And so I drove from Roseville to Gold River that morning. Samson is honest & to the point. When he pulled my car in, he noticed a coolant leak. Now I didn't notice any leaks in my driveway, as it would seem the Coolant is evaporating or dissipating, but he notice it was getting on my Alternator, by the stains. It turns out, my OEM water pump (factory part since 2003 for this model year in 2004) finally gave out at 262K miles. Who'd ever think a Mazda/Ford part would last this long. This was an unexpected thought as I only had budgeted for the quote. So I called my CFO (Wife) and let her know of the issue. She said get it fixed and she'll adjust other expenses as she knows I need AC for the upcoming summer temps. So I authorized Samson to proceed with the entire job. Now I can't couldn't do any price comparison, but he did give me a discount which still fit in my overall budget. I spent my whole day in their lobby. They have updated their lobby to make it feel more comfortable and less Auto Shop feel. I notice the many people who drop by to have their car service are all happy and are returning customers. From a Dealership oil drain plug that was torqued too tight, to oil changes, brakes, and even a customer who was a bit upset where the Dealership sent the wrong part twice. The Dealership. I spoke to many of them and they all had the same answer when I ask. "What made you come here?" They replied, "Their price can't be beat!". In summary, my AC is now working as it should. Now I only used my AC for 2 whole days It gets cold and it has been awhile since I have felt cold in my aging car of 22 years. With my new water pump installed as well, my car is running smoother overall. Smoother shifts, heater gets warm fast. Almost, now almost like it was in 2004. So, Did I find a new shop for my Project Commuter Car? Yes I sure did. They have gotten a new customer. Up next is my Transmission Gasket & plug. One thing at a time! I called Proflex because our washer was making this God awful noise during the spin cycle. Vitalii came out did some diagnostics(with the washer empty of clothes and reported he could find nothing wrong with it other than it was out of level. I was quite skepticle.... When he left I immediatly leveled the machine and washed a load of laundry so I could call him back if I needed to. Well, Son of a bitch!! This machine was the quietest its been IN YEARS!!! He could have sold me something I didn't need, leveled the unit himself and charge me hundreds of dollars which I would have been happy to pay, but he didn't.... The only draw back was that as a hearing aid wearer, I had a rough time understanding his strong accent, but he happily repeated himself when I needed him to. A+ Rating from me!! Let's call it what it is: A SCAM…read more I scheduled a service appointment to have my washer repaired after being told there would be a $75 diagnostic fee, which would be applied toward the repair if I chose to move forward. The technician arrived the next day within the scheduled timeframe, which was the only positive part of the experience. The technician used a shop vac to drain the remaining water from the washer and spent about 20 minutes in the laundry room while I remained in the living room. During that time, there was no communication about what he was checking, what issue he found, or what diagnostic steps were being performed. I never saw the washer taken apart, nor did he explain anything during the inspection process. Afterward, he simply stated that repairing the washer would cost the maximum amount to fix and suggested I should just buy a new washer instead. He identified the issue as the motor, but when I asked how he came to that conclusion, he struggled to provide a clear explanation and appeared unsure of his own diagnosis. A trustworthy and professional repair technician would normally walk the customer through the issue, explain what was found, and show evidence of the problem before recommending a costly replacement. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. Based on this interaction, I do not feel confident in the accuracy of the diagnosis or the integrity of the service provided. I would not recommend this business to anyone looking for honest or transparent appliance repair services.

Afterward, they observed the water line running to the dishwasher was damaged and leaking and tried to tighten it. He told me to watch it for a leak and tell the company if it continues. When I contacted them saying it had continued and that I thought it was strange the appliance was repaired and not replaced after what he initially said, they said the technician never said any of that and that they weren't liable. All because they didn't want to pull the dishwasher out and replace the water line like they should have in the first place. Terribly dishonest and I can not recommend them. Edit: they are now harassing me for this review and threatening to sue me if I do not remove it.

When we found out family would be visiting for spring break it was time to get it professionally repaired. Wakehub was quickly available and when technician Kiryl arrived Thursday he meticulously checked everything on the dishwasher before discovering, after pulling it out and turning it on its side, that apparently a rat had chewed all the way through the pump hose and also built a little nest under my dishwasher! Yikes! Kiryl said this was not a part that he kept in stock because it is so specialized, but he could order it and should be able to install it in about three days. I told him that we had really hoped to get it fixed before company arrived in two days. He then looked through his supplies and found a pump hose, unfortunately the measurements were off so it would not work. He gave me a very reasonable quote on the repair and said he would do everything he could to get it done before Saturday. The next day, Friday, I was pleasantly surprised upon receiving a message from Kiryl saying he would be here in 30 minutes to install the part. True to his word, he arrived and took about an hour to replace the part and show me how the dishwasher was now working. What a relief! Kiryl is the most polite and accommodating service person I have ever had in my home. He is incredibly thorough and knowledgeable about his craft, and went above and beyond in meeting our needs. Based on his professionalism and dedication, I highly recommend Wakehub and will keep them in my contacts for any future appliance repair needs.

Ron was polite and very efficient, explained exactly the steps and procedure for the maintenance and what other components he will thoroughly check to ensure our dryer was functioning properly. You can tell he's experienced, and knew exactly what he was doing. He took apart the dryer vacuumed out all debris , cleaned dryer vent line, oiled all the rollers and checked all the heating elements and was done in an hour. Every once in a while, we need something fixed in our homes, and you know that feeling of having to…read morepossibly scramble to find the right person for the job?! I've done the hard research for you. The part easily could have been ordered directly from the manufacturer, but unfortunately, the manufacturers customer service department was impossible to deal with, which forced my hand to find someone local. This particular part absolutely is something I could have done without a repair person but here we are. Yelp has a project feature, so if you haven't used it before it definitely is a tool that works. You search for the service that you need, and what needs to be done, answer a couple of very easy, quick questions, and then click the button for estimates. Next thing you know, you'll be receiving text messages, phone calls, and all of a sudden you were going to be everyone's best friend. Depending on the service that you need, this will either be incredibly helpful, or make you feel overwhelmed. Needless to say, after speaking with more than a half a dozen appliance repair companies, and being put through the ringer and bombarded with phone calls and pushy people either demanding I'm making an immediate appointment, or refusing just to have a conversation with me, I decided on Top 1 Appliance. Here's why: They were absolutely the most reasonably priced for the service call and the work that needed to be done. They were not pushy on any level, and that made a huge difference. They were willing to come out the same day if I had time at no additional charge, or my case found another day that works for both of us. I knew this would be an easy and quick repair, and less than 20 minutes, the repair was made, and the repair tech was paid and on his way to his next job. The only thing that made me uncomfortable was that I had wanted the old parts left, and the tech wasn't willing to do that which did not make sense. Top 1 is incredibly easy to deal with, and I should also add that they reached out to me before the repair, they simply asked if I had found someone or if I still wanted their help. Seriously that easy.
