After walking around main street the kids were starving. We tried two different pizza places and both had over an hour wait. I made a quick order online at prometheus. I didn't even realize it was a food truck until I arrived. It was a very short drive from main street. The pizzas were epicurean with really interesting choices. I tried a pizza with prosciutto, greens, and feta. For the kids I ordered pepperoni and they loved it. Now, it's hard to get excited about salad but the Caesar salad was so good. Crispy greens, shaved cheese, homemade croutons and a thick dressing. A Panna cotta was gourmet perfection with strawberry compote and crumble. Make the drive this place is well worth it! read more

One of the best pizza joints in TEXAS. We ordered the Zhazilla which was their version of a meat lovers pizza. It had perfectly cured meats and was loaded (see photos). We also ordered the Galatea which was a white sauce pizza. Definitely a good balance to the Zhazilla. The crust was thin and crispy, just how I like it. The location was only a mile off of Main St. We walked there to build up our appetite. Totally worth it. The owner even gave us a ride back to Main Street because we had a hard time getting a Uber. If he gives you a ride back, make sure you tip him! He has a classic 84' Landcruiser that's he's rebuilding. read more

Dear Rachel and Chris - I am extremely disappointed with your customer service on 2/17. I ordered 6 pizzas + online and upon arrival you gave me the go around that there was no order followed by you finding my ticket ten minutes later. I had to wait an additional 30 mins although Chris said it would take a few minutes. Chris was extremely rude and dismissive and offered little to fix the problem. To add injury to insult, once I took my order home we were missing a pie. I called Chris and expressed my frustration and he hung up one me instead of offering resolution. The pizza was good, however, the customer service was absolutely horrible and I had to share my experience so that they are held accountable and fix their mistakes going forward to be successful. read more

After a day of wondering the main street in Fredericksburg, or a day of drinking at the wineries, do yourself a favor and go eat some Pizza from Prometheus Pizza! They are currently serving hot, fresh delicious pies from a trailer located in the lot right before Das Peach Haus and have a great outdoor seating area. Prometheus is owed by a husband and wife team that has years of restaurant experience behind them and the Husband, has tons of knowledge about wine. Since they are from the area, they have great recommendations for wineries and shops that you must check out... but lets get back to the food. We ordered the Roxanne and the Hot Potato with a side of Zippy Ranch. Let me tell you, if you are looking for a way to eat your veggies, the Roxanne does it right with Sausage, garlic and kale. The kale is perfectly crisp and charred and adds such a delicious crunch and flavor to the pizza. The Hot Potato taste like the best baked potato you have ever had on top of a pizza. Dont knock it till you try it!!! Next time we will add the pancetta, but even as is, it is a great pizza. The crust is flavorful, crunchy, with just the right amount of chew and char. We were stuffed and tempted to order a third pizza, but saved room for desert! They have a wonderful panna cotta that is light, bright and fresh, served with fresh strawberries and a delicious crunchy cookie crumble. Since the seating is outside, it is a great place to dine at during covid, and the staff is taking all precautions with masks, sanitizer, and cleanliness. Got kids? There is plenty of room for the kids to run around outside. I'll be craving this pizza and making drives to Fredericksburg more often!!! My husband had a difficult time finding it. We ordered online and added a 15% tip, total $48. I got the pepperoni with mushrooms and my husband got the zahzilla without onions. I was sadly disappointed. Super greasy and not much flavor! Definitely too pricy for what you get. The toppings were generous though. See pictures to see what I mean. We stumbled across this pizza food truck and it was great! The wait was a little long ~ 30 minutes but great specialty pizza. We ordered about 1 of each and my favorite was the HEY BOB- white sauce with pickled onions and jalapeños. Ranch was an extra change, very citrusy with a ton of lemon notes.
