Just had a great experience with BRS. They were able to work me in in 2 days during this heat wave when other companies were 2+ weeks out. He came on time and let me know there was a problem with my installation (refrigerant leak after a custom heat exchanger was added to the system). The pressure was at 4 psi, instead of 60-80 psi like it should be. He was not familiar with our system, so he advised I call the installer instead. No charge for the service call. How cool is that? These guys do top shelf work. We had them do a very complex, 4-unit ductless mini-split system. Bruner came to our house to review our situation and provide an estimate. He was very thorough, helpful, and he really knew his stuff. He went through all of our options and helped us decide to go with mini-splits as opposed to central AC. We also had him re-do the duct work coming out of the plenum of our furnace. We were able to get the work scheduled shortly after getting his estimate. We have an older HVAC system that worked well when I first bought the house, but wouldn't produce cold air when we tried using it since the weather had warmed up. We called them for a free diagnosis of the system, fully expecting to need a new compressor. They responded to my calls very quickly and had someone out the next day. I initially called BRS because of issues with the airflow on the second floor. He checked everything from ductwork in the attic,air vents, furnace,and ac unit. He then gave us several alternatives to resolve the lack of airflow and explained the pros and cons for each option. He is very knowledgeable and informative. We installed a brand new AC on 6/2009 that back then, it was a new technology, and didn't last too long. I try to turn on my AC for first time this year on July 7, 2018. I believe it was record hottest day on San Diego. Unfortunately, didn't work. I started to call different companies, first trying to find a less expensive way of fix it or not to expensive way or replace it. It was a whole month of appointments, appointments that never happen because technician never arrived. Companies that were supper busy because the heat wave, another technicians that didn't even replay to my request. I was very frustrated with my home reaching 88 degrees inside. I was very lucky on 6/28. I share my frustration with a friend, and she just share a great experience she had with BRS Mechanicals. I send an email to that company that morning and he replayed fast.
