Good food and decent prices. Small place. Street parking only. Minus 2 stars because they forgot my order! I ordered first, then my friend. They brought out my friends order, then I had to follow up with them when my friend was almost done with their meal (!) as to where mine was. The number they gave me for my food was still on the table when they brought out my friends food. Not sure if it got lost in the kitchen or what, but not a great experience. Proudly Serving, aptly named! In a world full of overdressed burgers and plates full of garnishes, Proudly Serving stands out with a dedication to flavor. The burgers are perfectly sized, the buns soft and buttery, and your order won't break the bank. The double stacked burgers had a perfect ratio of lacey, crispy edges to meaty bites. The cheese was draped over them so each bite was a flavor explosion. We ordered fries out of obligation, but they rounded out the meal in a way we didn't anticipate. Often, steak fries get soggy, but not these!!! Super crispy fries dipped in an extra order of sauce should be mandatory with every order. Conveniently located just one block from The Strand, this burger joint is a perfect way to end a day at the beach or serve as a destination on its own. I can't wait to come back. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped by after catching the sunset. Literally 10/10! I ordered the PS Burger with tots and zesty ranch. The service was quick and amazing. The patio area is where we sat and we had such a great time watching the game and eating our delicious burgers. The vibe out there is incredible, just to be right by the beach and eat the best burgers in the South Bay :) Eric checked in on us at the perfect time just to make sure we were satisfied. tbh bad service. Slow. Unorganized. Rude staff. Burgers were ok. Shake was good. Fries were tolerable, very greasy. Wait time was crazy. Almost 40 minutes for 3 burgers, literally 25 minutes for one grilled cheese and it wasn't even melty, pretty sure there was a hair in there too. Also customers are rude. We literally bonded with a stranger down the streets BCS we all hated that place. read more

I had a really good experience at Proudly Serving! Possibly because you're only steps away from the beach, but their burgers and fries are definitely worth trying if you happen to be in the area. It's a fast casual joint - you order at the counter and they call you when your order is ready. We tried the PS Burger and the Chili burger. The PS was your standard smashburger, but their chili burger was the favorite. It had a nice little kick with the chili. I also really enjoyed their duck fat fries! Definitely a step up from other places and they cut them like steak fries. They have limited tables, bar seating and outdoor patio. They also offer beers on tap, sodas and milkshakes. read more

This is one of my favorite neighborhood burger spots and I'm so happy they are here! I've been coming about once a week because their burgers are just so juicy and cheesy, and so delicious! Ordered the PS burger which is a double patty, cheese, grilled onions, pickles and a special sauce that adds the right amount of umami. Oh, don't forget their dick fat fries, to die for (ha, literally). The place can get busy at times, but line and service moves fast. If you are looking for the perfect burger at a great price, this might be the place! read more

Proudly Serving serves some tasty burgers. I ordered the Pastrami burger. The burger patties were fresh and well seasoned. The burger, pastrami and sauce complemented each other to make the burger a delight to eat but a bit lacking overall. The bun while fresh was ordinary. The double patties were way thin and it would have been nice to include at least lettuce and tomatoes instead of just a couple slices of pickles. Next time? If I'm not too hungry I will try one of the other burgers. read more

1 star because zero wasn't an option. Completely overpriced for what you get, tiny portions that looked more like a kids meal than a full burger order. The burger was bland, overcooked, and definitely not worth the ridiculous price. Service was just as disappointing: slow, inattentive, and acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. For the amount they charge, you'd expect quality food and decent service, but this place delivers neither. Save your money and go literally anywhere else. read more

The PS burger is amazing. This is my favorite burger in the South Bay Area, and I highly recommend if you like smash burgers. The cheese and fresh grilled onions standout so well in this burger along with their special sauce. The meat is crispy on the edges and cooked perfectly. Service is good and friendly! The space is a bit small so if busy can be a bit of a squeeze to find a table if busy. read more

I don't know why this restaurant isn't talked about more. This is one of the best burgers I've ever had!!! ...and I've had A LOT! One my continuing quest for an awesome burger,my travels take me to PROUDLY SERVING in Hermosa Beach. This burger checks all the boxes . Well seasoned fresh tasting. Burger to bun ratio. Soft bun. I know that there are a lot of choices around the city, but another reason why this place is AMAZING! THE, FRIES. Other place have one of the other. Came here for the first time on a friday evening for a late dinner. Heard rave reviews so we had to try. It's situated on a corner in Hermosa Beach with street parking. It's a smaller space, order at the bar there. Service very friendly, went with the PS burger, double smash patty burger with griddled onions & cheese & an order of fries. Went with the special sauce, mayo based. Upon ordering, surprised it took abt 25 mins to get the food (to go). Maybe because it was still pretty busy? The bun was soft and couldn't help but think the burger tasted like a (much higher) quality mcDonald's cheeseburger. It was fair, but the real winner was the fries. When was the last time you had an amazing burger in LA? I did, last night. Perusing through DoorDash, I stumbled upon Proudly Serving. Seeing that it had great reviews, I decided to give it a try. And boy oh boy, I'm glad I did. I went with the chili burger and the PG burger. For both burgers I added jalapeño because I love the heat!!! Both burgers were super juicy. My boyfriend wanted to try a new burger spot and found Proudly Serving on Yelp. Parking anywhere in Hermosa is a little tricky, but we were able to find a spot around the corner. When you walk up to the restaurant, it looks like one of the houses in the neighborhood. There's a small bar area, a game room to bring your kids, and some tables in the back. It's not a great place to bring a huge crowd, but it's a cool spot to bring your family and go to the beach after. Their menu is very simple and reasonably priced. We both got the PS burger and fries. Our food came out pretty quickly and the staff were very friendly. They were very generous with the cheese and sauce :). The fries may look simple, but my boyfriend gave those fries a 5/5. Pretty crispy and seasoned well. read more

Mouth drooling good!! I got the PS burger and my husband got the chili burger 10/10. Got the duck fat fries they were SO good! We tried it w/ all 3 sauces w/ the fries & they were each worth trying. Seating is limited. restroom is slightly tucked in the building. I can't help but to think this place used to be a home for people. I just missed out on their special weekend of $1 menu items. Located at the former Vegan/Vegetarian Spot restaurant location. There was a line when we arrived, but it moved fairly quickly, however for a smallish burger, the wait was a bit long. The kid and I thought the smashburger and the duck fries was delicious. My friend told me about the potato bun which is different from the typical bun or brioche bun. Definitely recommend. Outstanding local burger joint! Smash burgers, fries, tots and some select beers (wine too.) Some indoor and courtyard tables, not a spacious place. Order at the counter, go sit down. Kind of self-service but the tablet has tipping options (eyeroll). There are games too, not sure about any of that because I have no interest in them. Probably 4.75 stars, but I round up. Cool lil spot right next to the beach in Hermosa. Had the PS burger and the duck fat fries with their ranch sauce. The burger was definitely well made, if a little plain. I'll for sure come back for the pastrami burger or chili burger to give a better idea. The duck fat fries were the best fries I had in an awhile. Insanely delicious! I went tonight to try their burgers because we want to cater our baby shower with smash burgers. Wow - just wow. I was blown away by their fries (so crispy, thick and delicious) and their PS burger. Double patties, perfect bread, juicy, delish. The owner, Matt, was there, and so was their Head Chef, Everton. The food is not worth the money. Paid 14 for a pastrami burger and it had maybe one slice of pastrami. The soda machines done work, the co2 was out and we had to get a refund. The cashier carried on a conversation over letting me and my wife order. When I asked to swap cheese they acted like they were doing me a gigantic favor and that they don't usually do it.. (they barely had anyone in the restaurant).The onions were paper thin, and hardly enough as well. They had rap music absolutely blaring and was both offensive as well as made no sense to the atmosphere. The tables were dirty despite there being too many staffed and almost no customers. The cook staff were on their phones and touching things while they should be cooking..no gloves... and they were super pervy eyeing females that would come in. Proudly Serving has only gotten better over the years. I first discovered them when they were still doing pop-ups at various locations. For me, it was in the back of Blackring Coffee in Long Beach -- and they were a lowkey operation. I almost skipped on them, because who eats burgers with coffee? But then as I continued passing by, I smelled something different. Something was up with the fries. Duck-fat fries? Man it's genius. Then I followed them to their kitchen operation in Redondo Beach at Project Barley on the pier. It felt like a suffocating compromise because of how busy it had gotten, but at least their hours were more predictable. That location is now closed, but you can get a similar experience in Long Beach where they operate out of Beachwood Brewing. Finally, here we are in Hermosa Beach. I first want to say, congratulations to Matt on this amazing new space. It's fairly large, and the back patio is bathed in natural light. There's natural wine and beer on tap -- as well as merch and pinball machines. If you don't enjoy any of those, then you'll be happy to know the beach is a short walk away. My first visit to the new location was a hefty order. We had just finished a 15 mile bike ride - so I got the PS Burger, The Founder, Fries, an IPA I don't remember, and an extra sauce. My friend did the same, except got PS Fries instead. We fucked it up in minutes. This was the best I've ever had their burger and fries. The fries were crispy, yet juicy and well-seasoned. The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and saucy. If they nail this kind of thing every single time, it's a banger. Here are the cons; My total was about $40 for 2 burgers, fries, and a beer. That could be pretty high for a lot of people. Obviously, you're paying for premium burgers and fries - but it could be a tad too high still. On top of that, the Founder burger wasn't that special. The raw onions and ketchup made the burger feel too much like a Quarter Pounder and took the novelty away for me. To finish the burger review, the patties don't have the crispy edges that you'd expect from other smash burgers. If we're speaking to those levels, it's not as close to a smash burger as it could be. That's honestly it, though - which is good! The bathroom is basically a single toilet where the door barely closes on you. All in all, I WILL be coming back because it's still the best burger experience in the Southbay. Next time, I'll only be getting the PS burger and skipping the Founder. Plus, let's not forget their special burgers - I just missed their Muenster Smash Halloween burger, which looked like it should be a permanent item to be honest :P Don't let the other reviews bring you down, this place is still a heavy hitter, and even more so than they ever were before. Amazing job. read more

My friends and I came here after a long walk Sunday morning along The Strand. The food is great, you won't be disappointed, do not pass on the duck fat fries, they are second to none! The burgers are going to be some of the best you've ever had, perfect ratios, full flavors, good textures, you're going to enjoy it. To our surprise they have the best fries we've ever had, can't say I've ever had better, they're perfectly crispy on the outside and amazing flavor, I haven't been to 5 star restaurants that have better fries, they're the best. The service was good, it's what you can expect from a fast casual burger restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating, it's first come first served, help yourself. We prefer the outdoor seating in the back of the restaurant. It's good until it's packed, then you may feel how limited the seating can be. The parking is street parking, on busy days you may be searching a little while but on an average day you'll probably find a spot right away. They have alcohol available to order. Overall, this is one of the best burger spots around. We plan to frequent this location for the foreseeable future. read more

It was packed when we went of a Friday night but they didn't take too long to get our orders out and the staff were all very friendly and calm despite the rush of people. Everything was really good and I'd definitely recommend the tater tots with cheese. They have games and markets/crayons that the kids can use. 3) The food is really good! I like the chicken caesar wrap and the tacos. But it's all really good and high quality. Yet again, The Craftsman did not disappoint. Mykel (the owner) was onsite and even remembered me when I walked in -- a true sign of great ownership and hospitality. I introduced him to my wife, and we decided to sit at the bar. Holly and Julia took great care of us. Both were personable, attentive, and completely on point throughout our visit. We tried the queso dip with chorizo, zucchini fritters, and the dry rub wings -- every single item was delicious. Hats off to the chef. You really can't beat the vibe here. Close to the beach, clean atmosphere, attentive and friendly service, amazing food, and owners who add the kind of personal touch most establishments miss these days. I didn't enjoy the pickled jalapeño or the pineapple. Felt like they're trying to make things fancy but in the process they're compromising the taste. Would not recommend if you're coming for a meal. Perhaps if you just want a drink this is the spot for you.

The performance was in the larger room. The comics really connected with the audience because they had a bit more time to share their various experiences. The meal was delightful as it always has been.The service excellent. We met MIKE one of the founders of the club in the parking lot earlier in the evening, I had forgotten my tickets at home and couldn't find them on my phone. MIKE made sure that the front receptionist would accommodate us. It was wonderful. At the conclusion of the evening as we were driving home, my phone rang. It was the comedy club calling to let us know that one in my party had left her sweater on the chair. Did we want to come back to get it? We told them to just give it to someone who needed it because we were about to get on the freeway at that point. What a wonderful surprise that they took the care and initiative to figure out who was sitting at that table and to reach out to us, that's service ! I recommend this comedy club wholeheartedly. You'll have a great time and a great meal at an affordable rate. It's one of the best things going on the coast. Enjoy! Laugh!! Have fun. And do take the time to examine the wonderful collection of Hollywood memorabilia and comics' costumes that are on display. It's a special little museum its own right.
