New favorite spot! Everything was good and the customer service was on point. I loved the ambiance in here, it wasn't too loud and the music was on point (I even asked for the Spotify playlist). From the moment you walk into the space you feel pampered. Soft lighting, comfortable seating, and welcoming staff. I'm not sure what was more impressive, the service or the food. Jonathan was our main server. He was professional and thrived for perfect service. His sophisticated humor was amusing and his knowledge of menu and drinks helped guide the evening. I didn't catch the name of the other staff members, but they were all very supportive and made the evening feel very special. This is so rare these days. We dine out five nights a week and cherish excellent service. Now let's talk about the food and cocktails. We had two cocktails from the menu. They were both absolutely delicious. I wish I could remember the names. There were five in our group, and everyone thought their food was delicious. I ordered the No Horsin Around Burger, medium rare. It actually came out medium rare. The Wagyu beef was juicy and flavorful. I also got the gorgonzola fries and dipped them in ranch. So yummy!!! we had the brussels sprouts that actually tasted like brussels sprouts and we're not overly fried. A nice light option. We also had the. Tomato Addiction appetizer, a decadent, shareable choice, we ended the evening with crème brûlée. Perfection! I highly recommend trying.Public Legacy and hope you get seated in Jonathon's section. We came for the great looking menu and will return for the total dining experience. We had 2 appetizers, four meals, one dessert, two cocktails and five beers. Our total bill was $211 and a $43 tip. Did not take food / dietary restrictions seriously. My husband and have been here a couple times, last night was our third and last. I was very clear up front that I have an intolerance to onion and garlic - I explained that it's not an allergy that will kill me, because I don't like being extra difficult and making them clean more when it's not super necessary - but it does make me feel awful. (runny nose, sore throat, bloating... etc) I asked the server about one of the appetizers and she said she'd check - she never reported back and instead placed the order and just had them put the garlic element on the side.... which is Okay but a bit presumptuous. Then I ordered a steak and reiterated again that I cannot have garlic or onion... and I picked the steak because it's the simplest thing in the world to customizes... Kid you not, it came out with literal slices of garlic clove on top!! (Also extra thorn in my side, they wouldn't let me order it medium-rare... only medium OR rare... never in my life have I encountered that.) The waitress was frustratingly timid with a "do you want me to see if I can get you something else?" .... I was hungry and frustrated so I ended up saying no, scraping off the garlic, taking a couple bites, and regretting it because I did indeed end up feeling sick. I was really trying to make it easy.... It's really annoying that they didn't take it seriously. I didn't complain, which I regret - and I wont be going back. To top it off, the table next to us, one of the guests said several times that they couldn't have bread / gluten and asked about a couple things... which the server also just took as permission to order and brought out breaded chicken wings and meatballs made with breadcrumbs..... that patron was also clearly irritated and the server did nothing. You'd think for a rather up-scale restaurant the servers would be better trained. Spent almost $200 for a meal I did not enjoy. Didn't even offer to comp the steak. I do think the interior is very nice, I like the decor. I even like the menu and the drinks were decent, but for the price I expect much better service. Go to Lazy Dog instead, they always take my food intolerances seriously. read more

This is a hidden gem near the Honda Center. Drinks and food were really good. They have a mix of healthy choices including an eggplant steak that was really creative and hearty. Went there 02/02/2023, 6:30 PM-9:30 PM. Party of 6. restaurant was 3/4 empty. Their Barman was the most rude person we have encountered. We pulled one chair from near the bar as the table was small so we were going to add one chair and Barman said you are not allowed to pull the chair, even though the restaurant was practically empty. Later as we are leaving, there was no towels inside the restroom and they had some hand towels outside. So one of our guests who had just used the restroom picked up a towel stacked outside and the Barman shouted, you are not allowed to pickup those towels. Just seemed angry and was rude. If the restroom was properly stocked, there would be no need to reach out for a hand towel. Instead of solving the problem, he has a habit of criticizing the customer. Not good!. Decided to try this spot last Saturday night. It's nicely decorated with a fairly large bar. We took the last 2 seats together at the bar which were behind the beer tap. I guess the bartenders could not see us well because we were very ignored the whole night. After waiting for a long time to even be greeted to order drinks my boyfriend finally flagged one of them down and he took our whole order which we were thankful for. I got steak and he got the club sandwich. Most of the food was good but I was disappointed in the scalloped potatoes which I usually love. They were not creamy at all, just potatoes and a strong cheese. By the time we finished eating the place was quite empty and the bartenders seemed to just want to hang out in the corner and chat with each other. We sat there forever waiting to get their attention to pay. Finally one of them, whom seemed to be the manager, noticed me staring daggers their direction and came to ask if we needed anything. I requested the bill and he asked if everything was ok to which we replied the service had been bad. He apologized and took a round of beers off the bill, which was nice, but we won't be back. I came here during their soft opening. I used to be a frequent visitor of the pint house, previously and its location. Location. The inside has been remodeled beautifully. It's exactly what the place was missing. Elegant and upbeat. The staff was friendly, informative and indulgent. My bartender explained the drunk menu and made recommendations based on my likes. The PUBLic Policy was excellent. Great presentation, great taste and well made all-around. I'll get to know what happened. I wasn't very hungry so I decided to go with just a starter; "play on poke". It was excellent. Great starter and/or small snack. Everything tasted fresh and you could tell it was all just hand made. Very impressed. All in all, while I'm sad for the departing of The Pint House, Public Legacy is a welcomed change that has so far exceeded the quality/excellence of all previous establishments at its location. Went there 4/27 on a Thursday night at 6pm. It was dead which is unfortunate. Ask about the whisky menu, lots of different options most restaurants don't offer. The Brussels and salted fires were great app's to start with. New menu dropped yesterday. One got the Ruben and enjoyed it, two got the peppercorn filet (Way too many peppercorns and sauce- you couldn't taste the meat) and one got the smash burger Which was yummy. The mashed potatoes were gross. I am a meat and potatoes gal, so that's sayin' something. I can't quite put my finger on it but they visually looked unappealing too. Great decor (the old Irish pub redone completely). Service was great. I'd try them again in a few months, they may have changed the menu for some new options. Well that was disappointing. Had a nice visit the first time, with the most delicious muscles I had ever had in recent memory, despite my burger being over salted (they made it right by giving me a giftcard). The smoked old fashioned was also well balanced. Tried to come back with a friend after hyping it up all day only to be promptly greeted! And told that the kitchen closes at 9... at 8:53. She was also quick to inform us that they close at 10 but the bar was still open, which would've been great since the bar program seemed strong from last time but we also wanted food. The decor leads to great ambiance that is a missing niche for Orange. Each part of the restaurant has its own identity though the transition is subtle until it was explained but very well laid out and thoughtful. The Mac and Cheese (starter) and Go Shorty Rib (entree) were both delicious and though I was initially bummed that the timing seemed misleading the second time, I would also think that as a newer establishment in the area, they are also trying to figure out their kinks and workflows. I was amazed because my steak $45 & I received medium well. I wasn't having where my order was not received & my meat was cooked right. You ask why wouldn't you ask the waiter to redo your steak. My friend get *medium rare get *well done steak instead. She last one to receive her food after all of us ate food. I didn't want deal with wait new steak that probably mess up again. FYI: if you planning to go as large party please know that your tip gratitude will be included with 20% on the bill. I've been to their other Public House locations in both Murrieta and Temecula but this one takes the cake. Both for their elevated menu and their exceptional cocktails and liquor selection. Everything is well priced for the quality of food you're getting and it's super close to the stadiums and movie theater for a nice little date night before either location. Their burgers for a quick bite are amazing but try the entrees like the Steak Darla or Mussels with fries. Although it's only my second time here I gotta say this is one of my new favorite restaurants in OC. If you're lucky enough to have ASA as your bartender then you already know the service is going to be on point as well. Will definitely return and hopefully it will be to try the brunch! read more
