Their lunch menu is top of the line.
    Dan L.

I've been to this place numerous times and have never had a bad experience. It's easy to find right past the Honda center. The only downside is parking can be a little difficult during lunch time. One of the things I like about this place is when you walk through the door you already have a warm and fuzzy feeling. Almost like you're going into someone else's home for a meal. Lots of wood. Lots of dim lining. The place is very upscale without feeling stuffy. If you are going there for lunch, I highly recommend you get the burger off the menu. I am not kidding. It is one of the best tasting hamburgers I've had in a very long time. They cook it perfectly and their french fries are seasoned to perfection. Wait staff is top-notch, they definitely take care of your table while not hovering over you. One thing of note, they have great iced tea. Bottom line? If you are in town and looking for a good lunch that won't break the bank, I highly recommend public legacy, and make sure you get the burger!

Public Legacy is a convenient spot located in the Katella Town Center, right near the movie theater and with plenty of parking available. It's a great place to grab a bite before a movie or a nearby Angels or Ducks game. The service was quick and friendly, and the menu is a decent size with a few vegan options. The restaurant offers both indoor seating and a bar area, making it a comfortable spot whether you're grabbing a casual meal or just drinks with friends. Overall, it's a convenient, reliable option in the area.

Really delicious food! I got the house salad and shared the caramelized fig/onion goat cheese with sour dough appetizer. My friend got the smash burger. I also got a cider and she got a cocktail - both delicious! Our waitress (I think her name was Amanda) was lovely and patient with us. Will definitely come back! The reason for the 4/5 is because I do wish they had more vegan entrees not just the spaghetti

Pros: -Chilis had a 1.5 hour wait. Public Legacy which is in the same plaza had none. -Does auto charge tip for large parties -Great service. -They kept refilling our bread that we ordered with the fig dip. Kids loved the toast. -Prices were reasonable for the type of restaurant this is. -Portions were decent. -Easy parking. Cons: -My food was pretty oily and heavy. Not what I was expecting for a lemon sauce, and not as good as some paperdelles I've had in other restaurants in the past. -None if the foid blew me away. Rubeun sandwich was okay. Fries were okay. Fig dip was okay. Toast was pretty good but just toast.

New food menu so good And new whiskeys you have to try. Their menu changes so you have to come in and try this menu before it's gone. Of course Devon bartender is great for mixed drinks.

Amanda was AMAZING!! We came here for Mother's Day and were treated like royalty. They have a world class bar (not just a bar tender but rather a MIXOLOGIST!!). My wife had the Legacy Smash Burger, I had The Poacher burger. Both were perfectly done with a generous accompaniment of delicious fries. Ambiance was extraordinarily comfortable. It exceeded our Mother's Day expectations!!!

Public Legacy is located in the Stadium Promenade center a few blocks east of the Honda Center. I don't think they take reservations, but they do have a Yelp live waitlist. There are several large parking lots on each side of the restaurant, but they do get near capacity on weekends or when there are events nearby. Seating options include booths and tables in a few different dining areas, at the bar, or outside on the patio. They also have a separate semi-private room behind the bar that can host events. We sat in a booth in the main dining area which provided a nice view of the bar. The lighting is subdued and the space has a nice cozy feel. We started out with a round of cocktails. I had the French 74 (blueberry goat cheese washed gin, ginger syrup, lemon, Champagne, fruit pearls, $17). This came with an interesting garnish of some large boba on top of a lemon peel. I wasn't sure what to do with it, and our server said some people just eat them, and some people toss them in the drink. I just ate them so they wouldn't interfere with the flavor of the drink. This was the second drink listed on the menu and I immediately stopped and ordered it when I saw "blueberry goat cheese washed gin" as the first ingredient. I kept taking sips, and unfortunately all I could taste was the champagne and nothing else. When our server came by to ask how the drinks were, even though I had sipped almost half of it, she offered to take it away and remove it from the bill. I didn't expect that, what great service! I took another shot with the Ghost Ship cocktail (Mijenta reposado, Amaro Nonino, Doctor Bird pineapple rum, rosemary orgeat, lychee, lemon, orange bitters, tiki bitters, $20). This was a great tiki style drink, with a light sweetness and some complexity. The rum and tequila paired well. Her first cocktail was the Tia Mia (milk clarified, Flor de Cana rum, Doctor Bird Jamacian rum, Nostros mezcal, Cointreau, ube, orgeat, lime, $20). This was a good clear and silky cocktail with light smokiness and a subtle ube flavor. Next came some appetizers. The Shishito peppers ($8) were a good serving size. I love it when a restaurant includes a slice of lemon to squeeze over the peppers as it makes them so much better. The sauce was also tasty to dip the peppers in. Pablo No's Spinach & Arti Gratin ($17) is definitely an elevated spinach and artichoke dip. It arrived hot and stayed hot in a cast iron skillet. It was creamy and very flavorful. It is a generous size and eight slices of lightly toasted sourdough bread were not enough. Our server was happy to bring us more. This is probably the best spinach and artichoke dip I've ever had. Next came another round of cocktails while we waited for our entrees to arrive. I had the Smoking Geisha (Los Vecinos mezcal, citrus sake, Lo-Fi dry vermouth, blackberry, grapefruit, lemon, mint, $17). The mezcal smokiness is at a medium level, and I tasted light berry and citrus notes in the background. She had the Fernita Applerum (Ron del Barrlito rum, Fernet Branca, green Chartreuse, green apple syrup, ginger, lime, egg white ($18). This had herbal notes with a light sweetness, and expected bitterness. Bonus points for the foamy top. My main entrée was the Yukon Steak ($39) - Perfectly grilled medium-rare New York strip that is pre-sliced. The meat was very flavorful and I loved the chimichuri sauce on top. The red pepper sauce was also very good for dipping both the steak and potato wedges in. She had the Chimi-Caesar salad ($18) which she really enjoyed. It had a great variety of ingredients and textures. We were stuffed, but still decided to try the Magix bar dessert ($12). It was actually not as heavy or sweet as we thought it might be. It had a great mix of chocolate, peanut butter, banana, and pretzel graham cracker that all went together very nicely. And who doesn't like toasted marshmallows on top of a dessert! Five stars all the way for our server Savannah. She had great knowledge of the food and cocktail menu as we had several questions before ordering. She checked on us frequently at just the right times. I really appreciated her taking my first drink, which didn't really do it for me, off the bill. A manager also stopped by our table to make sure we were happy with everything. Great food, great drinks, and great service. We will definitely be back.

PUBlic Legacy has been a go to for my husband and I when in the area for their delicious burger and amazing craft cocktails, especially their bourbon based options. Inside it offers a very relaxed yet upscale vibe that is very moody and inviting. The bartenders are always very friendly and knowledgeable. We decided to have a Christmas Party here for a group of about 30 and it was FANTASTIC! the GM Andrew who I communicated with via email a couple months before the party, to button up the details, was so nice and helpful the entire time. He was always available to answer any questions and accommodated many requests such as personalized menus, entree substitutions and extensive bar menu. Our server Savannah was also awesome, she was very friendly and accommodating to our very thirsty group! Comparatively to other venues the price for the amount of space, food, drinks and awesome service was unparalleled. We had a cocktail hour with appetizers where everyone mingled in the back space called the Library. The Library offers a private bar as well as beautiful velvet tufted booths that sat our party of 30 comfortably. A detail that was offered that I loved was a sit down dinner as opposed to buffet. Everyone chose their seats and gave their name and the wonderful staff brought out everyone's food accordingly. All of the dishes were delicious and lastly a dessert bar was set up and we were able to continue enjoying the space. If you have an event and this location works for your party I would HIGHLY recommend you contact Andrew to get more details. You will not regret it.

We've been here four times now...before and after Ducks games. It's crazy how busy other restaurants near the Honda Center are on game nights, but PUBlic Legacy is dead. This place is too good to be this empty. Swanky interior. Mood lighting. Anaheim Ducks specials pre-game. Friendly staff. Vegan options. Food isn't amazing, but pretty good and inventive. Wine list is lacking, you should opt for one of their boozy cocktails instead. If you're in the mood for a more elevated dining experience than Lazy Dog or Sauced, try PUBlic Legacy.

First off this is between a 3 and a 4. We were lucky to get a booth, very crowded due to the Ducks game coming up. Our server was Savannah, she was excellent. I made the mistake of getting an Old Fashion with their house Buffalo Trace. Not too good, some I switched to Woodford Reserve, much better, $6 more. I had the Pesto chicken, pesto was very mild. I didn't get much chicken, loved the veggies, but I was still hungry. My husband had the Short Rib Peppardelle, not much meat. So we both wished that we might have ordered something else. W don't eat allot sand usually have leftovers, but not his time. They do have an extensive liquor display. The place inside was somewhat comfortable, high tables and chairs are not for us.

Ergonomically correct dessert spoon with a "licked clean" plate of the banana cream cheesecake.

Amanda and Savannah were awesome servers. We had the hot tomato addiction appetizer and it was RIDICULOUS yummy. I ordered the charred broccoli pasta and added shrimp. SO YUMMY! And my man got the coffee crusted rib eye and it was absolutely one of the best steak and mashed potato dishes I've ever had at a restaurant. Highly recommend. Side note, their dessert spoons are perfectly ergonomically correct to the human mouth.

Went here on a Monday night for girls night with my coworkers. I would say it's pretty decent place. It was a quiet night, so we got our food quickly. Our server was super sweet and service was great. Starters-Brussels and cranberries, calamari and hummus. Main - salmon, Chinese chicken salad and Reuben. All very good. We'd probably come back and try other things in the menu.

Great place to have a drink before catching a late night film. Service was awesome and the bartender made sure we were well taken care of. I had the Absinthe Minded cocktail. First time actually trying absinthe and it was strong, but just the right amount to take sips. It was pleasantly good as I took little sips. We ordered the lemon pepper wings that were soooo good. Just the right amount of sauce and not overly drenched. It was the perfect compliment to our cocktails. We also ordered the Tomato Addiction appetizer. This was by far the star of the hour. It was a perfect night cap to our cocktail hour together. This is definitely a place to hit up again.

I have never known them to have live music, but they DO have great music playing (bartender's choice, so it will vary from visit to visit). I always ask the bartended about the playlist, then head to Spotify so I can enjoy it at home. One weekend…

At around 11-11:30 is the brunch menu and other menu available every day?

We open at 10.. full menu plus brunch till 2

    Do they require reservations?

Reservations unavailable (I believe) but they do use Yelp Waitlist!

But is there a true happy hour? My husband and I are locals and frequent the other establishments in the center for happy hour. A true answer would be helpful.

I think this is on everyone's speakeasy list!…read more Make sure you make a reservation It is very packed. They offer bar seating and booth / table Follow the wall from Randy's donuts and Look for a wall of Japanese sake/beer barrels and head towards the restaurant - the rolling boil. There will be a check in host and stand there and wait (it will be located up against the wall with a big secret door right next to the hostess station) It's very New York inside. When I first came in Spring with the amazing, Karen, the menu and everything was great Now, I took my friend who was in town from Nashville and it was a brand new theme. It's the great Gatsby. Even our waitress, Jasmine was dressed for the occasion. I would say this place is known for Absinthe. They have cocktails featuring it or you can get one of the huge apparatus (huge and glowing green) which, if you are into it? I highly recommend. Just one of the huge apparatus makes one regular drink. Or, what Karen and I did, was split it and make it into a shot for the both of us. The waitress comes out and shows you how it works and goes over everything. Karen, who I came with, was a pro and knew her way around it. She showed me the ropes lol. Honestly, if you are here? When in Rome. Go all out and try it, since it's where they shine here. They took off a few menu items and added some themed drinks. ( a couple new champagne themed drinks) They have big entree items but I suggest small bites and sharing and mostly coming for the drinks. There's no bathroom inside, so you do have to leave the bar and go to the closest one (over behind Randy's donuts) and then enter the speakeasy again Both times coming here I've never had an issue. It's a small, packed place. And yet they still have the cocktails flowing and the food coming out in a good time. So the food and drinks are good Atmosphere is lovely. Service is good. Especially for it usually being very busy in here This place is located inside the Anaheim packing district. So I suggest hitting up a couple other spots before or afterwards for some more food or drinks P.S. it is very dark In here. They never cared if we used our light to look at the menu. However, they do not want flash photography They also do not strictly enforce a dress code (my friend from Nashville asked) however, they suggest dressing business casual and not too underdressed

Date night for mom and dad away from the kids type of night. Very mellow and chill. Small but cozy…read more I loved the Gatsby decor. We chose to be seated at the bar. Service was decent. I really liked the clarified strawberry drink, similar to strawberry and cream. I ordered a drink after that unfortunately forgot the name (photo attached with a tall glass) but there was no special cocktail craft taste to it. Just hard liquor taste and undrinkable :( the bartender kindly offered another drink. Unfortunately none of the food was the least bit good. Steak and fries was ordered medium rare and cooked to medium well with what seemed like no seasoning was on there at all. Crab cake was just ok and the slaw beneath it was drenched in a vinaigrette that was just sour and unpleasant. And the Mac and cheese, as we were very hopeful and looking forward to, was probably the blandest Mac and cheese we ever had. We asked the lady bartender for salt and she handed us, no exaggeration (and you guys will probably think I am) a salt shaker with 10 grains of salt in it and said "looks like there's a lil something you could still get out of there" My jaw dropped. But yeah. The shredded meat on top of the Mac and cheese was cooked beyond the point of edible. That one was unfortunately sent back bc we just couldn't eat it. We were bummed over all mostly about the food.

The hostess explained their whole shtick: in-house distilled spirits that are infused with music to change the flavor profile. It SOUNDS crazy...until you order a flight and taste their two burbons side by side: same bourbon, different music, different tasting notes. Totally crazy experience! For cocktail lovers, they are doing some really cool stuff there. I got 2 savory cocktails (Mariposa & Aquatinted), the former was more my speed, but I always appreciate when restaurants experiment more in the savories for cocktails. Their signature list has many unique flavor combinations, and I'm looking forward to our next visit to try more! Food-wise: no misses for us. We debated going for a bunch of small plates (easily doable with their menu), but the sea bass was calling to us. Split that + the Wagyu Short Rib. Both were delicious, but the Wagyu was a little under salted for me. The smoked carrot conift actually stole the show on that dish - we're definitely going to try the carrot appetizer next time we're there! Dessert: Both full desserts looked great (their 3rd dessert right now is a cocktail - also cool!), but we opted for the Baked Alaska. DELICIOUS! The dish was stellar, but the cherry sauce with it took it to the next level. Ambiance: Great vibes. They have a live DJ Fridays and Saturdays, and the music was present but not overwhelming for me. The whole space is designed with sound in mind so it was very cozy, very atmospheric, and very chill. Can't wait to come back! Huge shout out to our server/bartender Jimmy who was CRUSHING IT managing so many drink orders. Hope we run into you again next time!

Zero stars if I could!…read more The service was terrible from the moment we sat down, and all of this happened within the FIRST HOUR. Water wasn't even consistently poured for everyone at the table. Drink orders were skipped even while orders were being taken from people sitting right next to each other. The first time, we literally had to go ask our server about a drink that had already been ordered. Then later, someone ordered the exact same drink as another person at our table--one came out and the other was completely forgotten. How many times does a table need to be overlooked before it's no longer considered a simple mistake? We shouldn't have to keep tracking down staff, asking where our drinks are, or reminding someone that our table exists. The whole experience felt careless, disorganized, and honestly just rude. So over this place. If basic service is this difficult within the first hour of being there, that says enough.

In my case, it was my first ever Tomahawk that I ended up splitting. My son picked Yucca Fries and Mac and Cheese as sides. It was wonderfully served and presented to us along with some delicious coconut shrimp appetizers and Old Fashions!! Neither of us were disappointed and continue to rave about the experience to anyone within our circles that will listen nearly a week later. Our server was Mike and it was based on his recommendations that we went with the shrimp and Old Fashions. Everything; the service, the meal, the drinks was amazing. Will be back soon!!

Strong Water isn't just a place to grab a drink, it is an entire experience from the moment you…read morewalk through the door. We were escorted inside and our hostess immediately started introducing us to the lore of the place: a capsized ship with the space decorated using pieces recovered from the wreckage. The room is VERY dimly lit, and we actually stood near the entrance for a moment while our eyes adjusted, but honestly that just added to the atmosphere. On the way to our reservation in the Captain's Quarters, our hostess gave us a little tour of the main room and even pointed out the bathrooms for later. Once we sat down, we met our bartender, Drew, who was fantastic. He walked us through the different menus, explained the food and cocktails, and really added to the experience throughout the night. I'm normally a whiskey drinker, so I started with the Southeast Spice Trade while my girlfriend ordered the Pineapple Whipped Colada. Both were delicious, but half the fun was watching Drew make them. You could really see the amount of care that went into the craft and presentation of every drink. For food, we ordered the chicken katsu and ahi poke nachos. I was especially excited when the nachos arrived and I realized they were made with wonton chips. I'm a sucker for wonton chips, so those were an immediate win. We obviously couldn't stop at one round of drinks, so next came the Tarobi Colada and Zombie King. Drew told us a little about the history of the Zombie King and gave us a lesson on rum, so I had to try it, plus it came in one of the coolest mugs I've ever seen. The Zombie King was easily my favorite drink of the night. The flavor was fantastic from beginning to end and dangerously smooth. I didn't even realize how much it had hit me until I stood up. Even leaving was part of the experience. We finally checked out the bathroom and the door has what feels like TEN different locks on it. It genuinely felt like I was locking myself inside the bathroom of an old pirate ship. Between the storytelling, incredible atmosphere, Captain's Quarters, food, cocktails, and especially the service from Drew, this was such a memorable night. Strong Water completely commits to its theme without sacrificing the quality of the drinks. Absolutely an experience worth having, and we can't wait to come back.

We have returned to Strong Water several times in recent months, so it's time for an update. We…read morefirst returned in early June since they introduced some new cocktails and food to the menu. The other visits were just because this is by far our number one place. Recently added cocktails: Buzzin' Jungle Bird (Jamaican gold rum, coffee infused campari, dark rum, pineapple, lime, hemp orgeat, cane, Angostura bitters). This is a great spin on a jungle bird, with some complexity and coffee flavor. I'm usually not a big fan of coffee, but it is at a good level. Chi Chi (Whey vodka, pineapple, lime, date, honey, coconut, salt). This has a great creamy texture which I believe comes from the dairy component of the whey vodka. It is well balanced with some sweetness, and I could taste the coconut and date flavors. Lapu Lapu (Asian rum, Jamaican rum, dry curacao, lime, orgeat, demerara). It is juicy, well balanced, and served with a flaming sugar cube on top. This is the cocktail they chose to serve at their booth at Tiki Oasis recently which says a lot, try it! Thai Me Down (Barbados rum, coconut liqueur, papaya, lemon, demerara, Thai basil). It is served old-fashioned style, and was light and perfectly balanced. Those Thai inspired flavors were all noticeable. Demerara Dry Float. They added and took this one off the menu as of now. It was a balanced light citrusy drink which was served with a delicious sidecar of Hamilton 151 rum infused with banana chips. I sipped half of that and mixed the rest into the cocktail. It was served with a beautiful ice shell. I'm guessing it was too labor intensive, and took up a lot of space in their freezers. Recently added food: Ahi Poke Nachos (marinated ahi tuna, masago, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo, furikake, green onion). This is such a tasty starter with so many textures and flavors. I love that the nachos are wontons too, and not just chips. Crab & Cream cheese wontons. Nice crisp wontons with a good amount of crab and cream cheese inside. The chili sauce and spicy mayo adds another layer of flavor, and there is a slice of jalapeno on top for a little heat. Pan-Seared Scallops. This was an excellent lighter entrée. The four scallops are cooked perfectly, and even have a little dollop of caviar on top. I liked the mix of veggies and really liked the bed of potato puree underneath. Steak & Eggs (8oz hanger steak, crying tiger glaze, Nam Jim Jaew sauce, sunny eggs, rice). I normally wouldn't try steak & eggs for dinner, but I can't resist a good hanger steak. It was cooked a perfect medium rare and I appreciate that it was pre-sliced. The crying tiger glaze and sauce were so flavorful. There's plenty of rice to soak up any left egg yolk or sauce. Recently added desserts: Dubai Chocolate Lava Cake. This was excellent, but it's definitely sweet and rich. Save some room if you plan on ordering this. Ube Flan Cake. I'm usually not a fan of flan, but I have to try anything with ube and this was good. The cake had nice ube flavor, and I liked that the flan was a little firm since the looser custardy/gelatinous texture is not for me. This is definitely a lighter dessert than the lava cake. It's not a new drink, but I also had the Naval Grog for the first time. (Lost Voyage rum, overproof white rum, allspice dram, lime, grapefruit, demerara, honey). It is boozy with nice spice notes. Other repeat cocktails enjoyed were Tales from the Black Lagoon (my favorite), Missionary's Downfall, Agave Parrot, Singapore Sling, and Serpents Grasp all of which are excellent. Their cocktails, food, ambiance, and service are always top notch. Thank you Ying, Erica, Greg, Jordan, Joey, Iris, Karen, Kyle, Joy, and John for your wonderful hospitality during our visits. We will return again soon!
