Cheese and spinach (left) cheese and shrimp(right)

I placed a to go order, lady over the phone was very courteous and when I got there both ladies also greeted me. The walk up area is not very distinct, although there was a sign that read wait here to be seated, there is no counter to pay/to pick up...I tried there cheese and spinach and cheese and shrimp pupusas. So the pupusas are a nice size, a lil thick and generously filled. The flavor is lacking though, I'm not sure what it is, I do have a hunch though that it may be the cheese. I will certainly give them a try again though.

Okay service is getting better and owner is more constantly in the restaurant the ladies are a little more nicer than before. Some do have their attitude but it got a little better and the food is still the same good loved my salvadorian food

This was our first visit to this quaint local joint. Ambiance was better than I expected considering it urban Long Beach locale. Kiosco isn't a new establishment but is now in a better location with lots of uodated elements. Pupuserias here are world class, just take it easy with the cabbage topping if you're sensitive to that sort of thing. Service is very attentive and friendly. If you're near uptown Long Beach and have a hankering for something other than a burger, I highly recommend stopping in!!! Next visit will be for breakfast

The photos on the wall to the left after walking in and being seated. Gives such an authentic vibe.

LOOOVVVEEEDDDD THE PUPUSAS! Firstly, they are MASSIVE and Secondly, they are sooooooo flavorful! Some of the best I've ever had! They smell amazing and fill the restaurant with the amazing aroma. So mouth watering! The waitress who served us was super sweet & helpful with assisting us in deciding what to try despite the language barrier and we greatly appreciated that. Overall 10/10 would highly recommend!

First time at this place. We went to eat just Popusas. They are a good size and their were really good too. They have newer options like Popusas con Camaron/asada/pollo. My only probelm was the Waiting time!!! for us was toooo long. We went to eat just Popusas. Other people came after us, got their food, finished their food and left and we were still waiting just a 4 popusas. Here are the current peices:

Nice people. Good service. Good coffee. Large portions. We go there a lot. The restaurant is clean and they play music - but not too loud.

After today's visit, I felt it was finally time to leave a review because this restaurant deserves all the recognition it can get. The food is consistently incredible and always tastes freshly made. My personal favorite is the pan con chicken sandwich it's absolutely delicious every single time. And no family visit is complete without ordering a platter of about 10 pupusas to share. They're perfectly made, flavorful, and always leave us looking forward to our next visit. The service is just as outstanding as the food. Everyone is genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making you feel like part of the family from the moment you walk in. Restaurants like this are becoming harder to find. They consistently deliver amazing food, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere that keeps people coming back. If you're looking for authentic Salvadoran food in Long Beach, this is the place. The restaurant was spacious and clean, with colorful imagery on the walls. The brother and sister who were working the restaurant while we were here were super friendly. We ordered pupusas revueltas and pupusas con jalapeno y queso, and we also tried their platano frito (bomb), frijoles (extra bomb), and these little empanaditas made with cornmeal, stuffed with some kind of savory beef picadillo and deep fried -- I have no idea what they were called, but I'm coming back for more of them. The pupusas were MASSIVE. Like one all by itself could be a meal. They were very generously filled; the revueltas had a ton of pork in it, and the cheese and jalapeno one was oozing at the seams. Both were good but the cheese and jalapeno one was mindblowingly delicious. Our plates came with a whole bowl of curtido and a salsa dispenser so we could top our pupusas to our liking. I was super impressed with my meal. Don't sleep on this place!

I ordered a soup called Sopa de pata if your Salvadoran iykyk. One of the best sopa de pata I've ever tried besides my mom's cooking. It was loaded with a little bit of everything that we salvadorean know the soup comes with. Then we ordered yuca frita con chicharrones amazing flavor there not stingy here. They serve you a great amount of food for the price. I have ordered the pupusas and the the pastelitos. Like I said everything tasted very authentic and delicious. This is my new favorite spot to come eat with my family. The only feedback I would like for them to consider is hiring a waitress that would take your order on your table like a regular restaurant. It's very busy that only one person on the counter is not enough. The Servicing is what needs to improve as we have to order in the front counter and it's disorganized. If they hire at least one that would take orders and serve the food, then the one on the counter can take the payments. Other than that I love this place. The girl that I saw working there was nice but it's only one for like 8 tables to serve.

The crowd, the excitement, and the overall atmosphere made it such a fun viewing party. The DJ really helped elevate the experience and kept the energy going all game long. It truly felt like the place to be for soccer fans. Food-wise, I definitely recommend the chicken quesadilla. Also, the mojitos downstairs were excellent--super refreshing and worth trying! Just note they weren't available at the viewing party on the 3rd floor. Overall, such a great spot for a game-day experience. We'll definitely be back, and next time we want to try more from the full restaurant menu.

First time at Olé Bar Tapas Bar & Kitchen, and honestly, three stars is me being generous…read more The space itself is nicely designed, but we were seated at a slanted table and the restaurant was way too hot. Several tables were literally fanning themselves with menus. Our waitress even mentioned it to the manager, but nothing really changed. That alone made the experience uncomfortable. The bigger issue for me was value. I understand tapas are small plates, but for the prices, the quality and portions should be much better. The calamari tasted fine, but there were a lot of red bell peppers and mostly crumbs at the bottom. The mixed olives came in a very small dish with mostly tiny olives with pits, broken pieces, and maybe three decent-sized olives. The garlic shrimp was the standout and was actually very good. The ham and cheese croquetas were four tiny little balls, about the size of mini store-bought frozen meatballs, served with a little sweet tomato sauce underneath. Not terrible, just extremely small and not memorable. Drinks were mixed. I enjoyed the wine flight trio. My mom had the classic mojito, and my sister wasn't impressed with the mezcal Negroni. The biggest disappointment was dessert. We ordered the churros with chocolate sauce. I've lived in Spain and Spanish cuisine is one of my specialties, so I know what churros con chocolate should be. These were pale yet somehow overcooked, and the sauce was very light brown, extremely hot, and tasted more like butter, cream and sugar than chocolate. To her credit, a second waitress did try to help since our original waitress event to break and was very kind. Since my family had already eaten some of the churros and didn't know any better, she explained she couldn't fully remove the dessert, but she gave me a $9 discount using her employee discount. I didn't ask for a discount, rather to inform the kitchen. I appreciated that gesture, so thank you to her for making an effort. Service overall was okay, but our water wasn't consistently replenished and we eventually had to ask for ice water, especially frustrating considering how hot it was inside. Our bill came out to about $156 for three drinks, bread with tomato, calamari, olives, garlic shrimp, croquetas and churros. For that price, the quality, portions, service and overall experience just didn't match. Nice ambiance and good garlic shrimp, but the menu needs some serious tightening up. Three stars. There's potential here, but right now it feels overpriced for what you actually get.
