I was looking for somewhere healthy and I found this place online and I'm really glad I came in because I left with no regrets. Ambiance: Pura vida miami as it states in the name very coastal like miami is. I like the colors they have going on with the beige and blue it feels like a restaurant on the beach. It's also a great study lounge give that it's an extremely open store with a bunch of places to sit and even do work, homework, or even catch up with friends. It's a beautiful place I've never seen a coastal cafe/restaurant in new york before. Food: Perfect Egg sandwich: 10/10 I really enjoyed this sandwich it doesn't come with turkey bacon so you have to add it ($4+) It comes on a bagel with (by default) eggs, avocado, mozzarella, and arugula. I didn't taste the mozzarella but I didn't care it was still a great sandwich anyway. It's very tasty and honestly pretty filling sandwich. I feel healthier eating it and honestly I would stop by here to get it. The sandwich also comes with some type of honey mustard sauce, it's honestly ok not a necessity for me but it's not nasty. Strawberry matcha (with oatmilk): 10/10 It's refreshing and creamy. I'd probably ask for light ice next time since it's packed with that. You can taste a little bit of everything -- the strawberry, the oatmilk, and the matcha and it also comes in a pretty decent size. I like it a lot I'd come back again for this honestly. Service: 10/10 There isn't much to say all the workers are nice, they clean up after you so you leave your plates on the table. Same chain, different location. This time I went to the Puravida location in Noho and grabbed another matcha drink. This time, I got the mango pineapple. Was it good? Not really. The presentation of the drink was quite spectacular though. I had mine with oat milk and the flavor was pretty much non-existent after drinking a third of the drink. I got a breakfast burrito and it was tasty and healthy. Pricing is definitely more than some other fast causal places. However, the seating, aesthetics, and wifi make up for it. Super great spot to visit after a workout, or for a quick coffee or lunch catch-up with a friend! It's super bright and lively with plenty of seating. It does get really really loud lol. My friend and I got the tahini hummus and the omer shake for a quick pre dinner snack. We are so lucky to have Pura Vida Miami here on Bleecker Street in downtown Manhattan. This is the best fast-casual spot in the neighborhood. The staff here, including so many helpful ladies like Alicia, are welcoming, kind, and so helpful, always making sure my mobile and dine-in orders are made outstanding. I love that they use high-quality, healthful ingredients, from real feta cheese (goat/sheep milk) and extra virgin olive oil. They make their delicious acai bowls with good-for-you toppings, such as pumpkin seeds. I also love the blue spirulina with collagen smoothie, which has coconut water in it. My favorite is the veggie breakfast omelette with sourdough and avocado, and a side of fresh greens--it's always perfect. You can even order a side of rice or grilled chicken. We are so lucky to have them here; it's like they brought a little taste of their Collins Ave Miami outpost right here to NYC. I saw videos of this place and was very excited to try it out! Disclaimer: I have not been to one in Florida so I cannot compare directly to that. There was a line when we arrived but service was excellent and moved very quickly. After ordering at the cashier, we found a table in their very ample space. The cute ambiance, with lots of greenery and high ceilings made the space feel fresh and open- it made me a little nostalgic since it reminded me of all the trendy LA healthy places. In terms of food, they had a very diverse selection of bowls, salads, wraps, plates, breakfast items, pastries, and coffee/drinks with something for everyone. My mom and I both ordered salads: my mom got the Greek salad with salmon which had very fresh produce and was perfectly tangy/acidic. The salmon was a little overdone in my opinion but otherwise this was a very good dish. I got the Jenn's herb salad with wild raw tuna. This salad was phenomenal! The balance of freshness, the herbs, the citrus, slightly sweet, and nutty elements was perfect. The tuna was lean and had the ideal consistency (it felt milder than the salmon flavor wise.) Both salads were massive! It can easily serve two people or just one very hungry person. Prices are very high (which is my only complaint) and I can't believe we paid around $60 for two salads. Overall, this was pretty good but the hefty price point makes it hard for me to justify this as a place I frequent when I can make my own salads at home. However, the ambiance is super cute and it is perfect for a girl date after a fitness class or on a random weekday afternoon for coffee and a snack. If you are from SoCal and miss the feeling of the healthy superfood places, definitely check this out--it will hit the spot. read more
