I ordered to go on the app and I must say that the service was fast. Bathrooms are really clean as well. Food was okay. The chocolate croissant lacked chocolate and the strawberry matcha was not very flavorful. Once melted, the matcha tasted like nothing. Price-wise, I think that the pastries are reasonably priced. I was meeting a friend here to grab something to go to Bryant Park. Since my friend wanted to try here we met here and did a takeout. Upon entry, the place is white and had a summer clean feel; it did give the feel of Miami. The choices were healthy and decided to get the seasonal watermelon mint salad. Everything was prepared fresh and I was able to get my order quickly. When opening the bag, I found the salad and it looked delicious. Salads are featured and options to add protein. I tried their tuna wrap for 20.00. I don't think it's worth the price. The tuna had an off taste and smell, the veggies were slightly on their way out. The wrap fell apart while eating it. The side of pita chips were tasty. The spicy mayo tasted like it's going bad. I liked the green juice, but I've had better elsewhere. I am reluctant to write a review after one visit, I would give them another chance. Just need to save up to eat here. Just baffles me, if my husband and child were with me, lunch cost is over a 100.00 dollars for stand-in-line food, no where to sit because they are busy, and slightly spoiled food. Meh. My pickup order was: Toasted Chicken Wrap (antibiotic-free chicken, cilantro rice, avocado smash, sweet bell pepper, melted mozzarella. Served on a whole wheat wrap, served with celery and carrot sticks - 989 cal). This wrap was SO LARGE, that I could only eat one side of the wrap. Each ingredient came together perfectly and is highly recommended. The other item was the Avocado Salmon Bowl (salmon, cilantro jasmine rice, Arugula, roasted corn, avocado, pickled red onion, radish, spiced pumpkin seed, crumbled feta, cilantro, green tahini - 965cal). As you can see, there were A LOT of ingredients in this bowl. It was very filling, fresh, and served in a deep bowl. i stopped by pura vida on a walk around bryant park. it was a really cold day, so i wanted something hot and tried the chai tea, which was honestly exceptional. it had a slight sweetness with cardamom spice and was a good quantity. one downside is that it is a little on the expensive side, i paid eight dollars for the drink. seating is also very limited, especially since this is a very busy area. because it was a cold day, the shop was especially crowded, and it was hard to find two seats next to each other. otherwise, the service was quick, and i got my drink in about 10 minutes. i would definitely come back and am interested in trying the food next time. read more

It's not very often I head into the city on a weekday but when you get tickets to a matinee, it's mandatory. I had been to another location of Pura Vida but had only done takeout. When we arrived it was definitely in the middle of a huge lunch rush (midtown east and west seem to love this spot). There were over 15 delivery drivers outside blocking the door which almost made us switch dining options but we were able to (just barely) bypass them. Once we ordered at the counter, we found seats toward the back the of the restaurant. There is plenty of seating and we were able to grab two seats at a community table with tall barstools. My friend ordered a wrap and an iced matcha while I went with the summer chicken bowl. Our food came out in a timely fashion even though it looked the kitchen was really going through it! If you don't like large crowds, take your food across the street to Bryant Park. read more

My coffee n croissant comes out, I tried the cortado, very disappointed, 2 out of 10. They should offer a variety of milks, even for those that are lactose intolerance. Different sugars since that's what gives it second taste. Croissant was good, but me doing this is disappointing. With a place like that I thought I would enjoy it. I was wrong. Came here with my friend on the weekend to grab brunch. The interior was incredibly brightly lit and clean and aesthetic. It definitely gets busy on the weekends - we were lucky enough to grab a table but I saw many people just standing around for a while to wait for others to finish up. The food is quite tasty but also quite pricey for a fairly casual spot. I paid ~$35 for a plate (you choose your own base and protein and it comes with a side salad) as well as a strawberry matcha latte. I really enjoyed the quinoa and tuna salad (they give you a decent-sized scoop and it wasn't overly mayo-y), and the salad was fresh with a really nice dressing. I was pleasantly surprised surprised by the amount of strawberry puree they added in my latte, though I wish they hadn't put in so much ice which really took up the majority of my cup space. My friend ordered a loaded bagel with a strawberry matcha latte as well and also enjoyed her food. Overall, I think this is a really convenient spot to grab something healthy and filling in the midtown area (right across from Bryant Park), but the price is definitely on the steeper side so I don't see myself coming back as a regular.
