This was an interesting eats, we came by on a random Tuesday evening. We ordered the chicken sandwich and corn flavored chicken wings. Restaurant reminds me of a college cafeteria. Service was good, our chicken was cooked nicely but the powder corn flavor seasoning was too overwhelming. I really wanted to like this place. It wasn't bad nor good just okay.
Puradak is now open at this Buena Park location on the 3rd floor at The Source. If you're like me and crave Korean fried chicken from time to time and are in the area then it is worth checking out. They have a variety of flavors including their popular Black Aglio and gimme basak flavor. I heard their cheese balls and corn is also good to pair with your wings. I went with one other person and we shared their original and new chili mayo flavor. The nice staff there gave us some black aglio sauce to try and it's sweet and savory. I enjoyed the chili mayo flavor which turned out to my favorite. It had a sweet mayo flavor and wasn't very spicy. I did come with some pickled jalapenos which was good. We also shared an oden soup on the side which was like fish cake soup. The broth was a little salty but overall good. Service was excellent. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. The chicken also came out faster than any other fried chicken place I had ever gone to. The inside is super casual and open feeling. I would come back again.

As we walked in further, it took some time for the staff member at the back register to seat us but we were confused as first time customers. Menu is alright - with a couple of chicken options, sandwich options, and sides. I tried the malburo sandwich. Despite its 3 chili pepper signs, it wasn't spicy. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. Chicken wasn't dry though my order was saucy so that would've helped too. Sauce was not hitting it out of the park for me, and having tried the kfc place downstairs I prefer the other spot. Fries were regular fries.
First timer here. How come no one told me about this place. This chicken was so flavorful and moist. It took about twenty minutes to arrive at our table but it was worth the wait. Service was attentive, we are already ready for round two.
My friend took me to the Source for the first time and we decided to try something new. So, we elected for Puradak since we were feeling like having chicken. When you walk in, you can feel it's pretty casual. You sit down and they take your order, but it's a casual vibe. The servers are friendly. The place is clean. So, on the menu you can elect to build your own wings or choose some other chicken items. I went with the wings but I was also definitely eyeing the sandwich. The wings I got had the sweet sauce on it. Word of caution-- mine came with peanuts on top so if you're allergic maybe mention that!!! I thought the chicken was pretty juicy and such. Fries were nothing to write home about. I'd say the food is good but not like something I'd be craving to come back to, you know?
The service was pretty good, they were very attentive. The food was alright, chickens are very moist and crispy, my friends and I just didn't love any of the sauces besides the chili mayo one, that one is bomb! do not recommend the cheese balls tho, they didn't taste like anything. the vibe was great, a bit empty and sad for a friday night but i guess it is what it is.
Service is good. They are so nice and keep checking on us. They even offered the seaweed chips for free :) Corn-so-amazing 100000/10 as its name. The corn flavor is just enough. Makes your regular cheese powder much more interesting. The chicken is oven fried so that explains why until the very end, barely any oil is soaked up in the liner under the dish and still keeps chicken so moist. Not so impressed with the chili mayo since the corn took the spotlight but it is definitely growing on me slowly. The tangyness from the pickled jalapeno cuts the creaminess of the mayo just perfectly ! Will definitely come back and already recommened to friends n fams LOL !
This place never disappoints! Been a while since the last visit but The only thing that changed is we get seated and get our orders taken instead of ordering at the counter. Our server was nice and attentive. It wasn't super busy around mid afternoon on a Saturday surprisingly. This time I ordered the black aglio boneless wings and it was amazing! It was so flavorful and the chicken was juicy. Loved the garlic pieces and the fries were good as well. Great place to go if you're craving some chicken!
Plenty of parking in the garage and it's free parking with a Tesla charging station. The food is amazing and the service is great. We came during lunch was it was slow and the food came out super fast. The wings were a bit small but they more than the 8 pieces that was supposed to come with the med size which more than made up for it.
First time here trying the chicken wings. And now getting the black cheese balls. Chicken and cheese balls tasted so delicious and juicy. Should come here again~!!! There's other food to try, like the corn, hhmm yummy
Today I was at the Source in BP. Wanted to eat something healthy. Found the Korean KFC really nice spot. Good ambiance and most importantly quality of food is good. Also the cheese ball is good
Delicious oven fried Korean Fried Chicken, which separates it from the usual deep fried chicken, making it a healthier cheat at a very modern and clean restaurant. Got the: - black Aglio medium wings (8pcs for $17 bc it's 16 +$1 extra for sauce): 9/10, their version of soy garlic with cooked garlic pieces. A bit on the sweet side for my liking - paired with side of fries with corn seasoning: made the fries very sweet - chili mayo medium wings (8pcs for $17 bc it's 16 +$1 extra for sauce): 5/10, came with a HEAPING of sauce and jalapeños. Even though it has 2 fire signs on the menu and they hype it a lot, to me it's just mildly spicy and the jalapeños weren't that spicy (if you have had REAL Korean spicy, you'd know it's far from that) - paired with a side of pickled radish: also on the sweet side, but nice and pink and crunchy Located: on the 3rd floor of the Source, not far from the escalators Parking: large parking garage at the Source Misc: - There's a Kiosk to order at for To-go orders only - they already have a menu and place settings for each table
I came here with my dear college friend - the place had a nice and modern, white and sleek design, which I thought was cool. We were promptly seated and got our food fairly quickly after ordering. The servers were also very prompt in getting us more water (you'll need a lot eating here). We ordered the wings with black aglio and some tenders with the chili mayo - surprisingly, I really enjoyed the chili mayo despite the spiciness! The flavor was really rich and creamy and less sweet than expected. We also ordered some fries with the corn seasoning, which was a little too sweet to my liking. The pickled radish was lovely in balancing out the saltiness of the flavors. Overall, a pretty decent fried chicken place. I'm not really a fan of Korean fried chicken usually due to the sweetness of the flavors, so I'd come back for the chili mayo. I'd love to eventually try some other options as well.
Plenty of parking spaces are available in the garage parking lot. They are located on the 4th floor in The Source OC. We ordered the Black Agilo, Chili Mayo, and Gimme Basak. The wings come with a choice of fries, coleslaw, steamed rice, or pickled radish. They also provide gloves if you want to use them to eat the wings. The Black Agilo was delicious, and the sauce was sweet and savory. The Chili Mayo was spicy and also savory. The Gimme Basak was not my favorite, but it was seasoned with crispy seaweed flakes. The fries weren't as savory to me, but it was seasoned with seaweed as well. We came on a Saturday afternoon and were seated right away. Service was good. Both workers were friendly enough and made sure to check on us. The facility was very clean and each table is provided with your own water carafe and cups. We went with the "2 flavors" and chose coleslaw with original and sweet flavored wings. New Fried Chicken Place on the top level of the Source. The other fried chicken place there is Pelicanas but they take forever to serve you and forget getting a table. My friends and I came by around 7:30-8 pm and the place was empty. We were sat and our orders were taken promptly. Our group was a little large so we got the Family Meal they offered. Comes with 16 wings(2 choices of sauces), tteokbokki, cheese balls, chicken salad, and two fountain drinks. All the food was pretty good and the salad as a nice way to balance our meal. For chicken flavors we tried the. Black Aglio and the Chili Mayo. Really enjoyed the Black Aglio with the fried garlic on top. The Chili Mayo was a little too heavy and just tasted like mayo on top of chicken. There's a lot of seating and a couple of other flavors so we will definitely be checking it out again! read more

My friends and I ate at Puradak over the weekend and loved it. My only criticism is the staff isn't familiar with the menu. It was our first time in and they weren't able to explain anything to us. For example, they offer Cream Cheese Balls & Black Balls of which my friend asked the difference between them. They couldn't figure it out and went back to the kitchen for a few minutes to discuss. It was bizzare with three people working the register that no one knew the menu, but I guess that's the vibe here. That being said, the food was all very good. They have a bunch of seating inside so once you order with the staff or on the touchscreen by the door, you can grab a table to dine at. There are so many Korean fried chicken spots popping up but Puradak is a little interesting because they have a bunch of more unique flavors and styles. The chicken itself was very plump in the boneless wings, juicy insides, nice and crisp outsides as it should be. We tried the Chili Mayo which had a pretty good taste to it but the after spice killed my mouth a bit. I'm a weak white girl lol. I absolutely loved the perfect flavor in the Sweet & Spicy though, couldn't get enough of it. Absolutely loved the cream cheese balls and the Black Cheese Balls. Both were unique and tasty, absolutely would get both again thought the black cheese balls slightly edged out the others in terms of taste for me. Their fries are unremarkable but we added the $1 corn seasoning on the fries which made them magnificent. All the wings came with fries which was nice. Overall, they need better trained staff but the food here is great! read more

Drove 20 minutes and arrived at 9:20PM Was told last call was 9PM and they are no longer taking orders Door says hours are until 10PM. Would be very helpful to update hours online since they seemed to be closing when I walked in 40 minutes before or at least include the last call on the website/ Yelp, etc. Waste of time and quite the inconvenience. read more
We ordered the Black Aglio chicken, which was so good and full of flavor and definitely the highlight of the meal! We also got the Corn So Amazing dry rub chicken, which was okay and personally too sweet to our personal tastes. The fries were seasoned perfectly and super addicting. We also added rice on the side which was great to balance the bold flavors of the chicken. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean, and the cashier was super friendly! Would recommend trying the Black Aglio chicken for first timers! read more
We came on a weekday for dinner and there was no line. We ordered a whole chicken, chicken wings, chicken salad, cream cheese ball, and rose tteokbokki. My favorite was the cream cheese ball. The chicken and wings were juicy, but the rose tteokbokki was just alright. The restaurant looks clean and spacious, but the service need some work. Very interesting spot! We were between the black aglio or the chili mayo and the worker said they're both popular options. We chose to try the chili mayo and it was very interesting. Not my personal taste, it was really thick and I just didn't like the creamy flavor and texture. They also didn't have sauce for the fries except ketchup. Not even any ranch, which was a bummer. They had a really big space so would be good for big parties! The plates, utensils, napkins, and water are all self serve. Location: at the Source, 3rd floor, but not in the food court! read more
Great location and outstanding flavor. The Black Aglio was 9/10 and Corn So-Amazing solid 8/10. Unique flavor and was executed well. It would be nice if they included coleslaw and radish as sides instead of picking one and having to pay extra for it. Other chicken spots have the base included and extra would be charged but no base here. I think the space and food was great but servers definitely need more training. I would say they were polite but they were not attentive and had zero urgency for guests dining in. A lot of the focus on the to-go only. I had to go up to the register area 3 times to ask for more water and other things. read more

This place has really good quality chicken! We got the wings and the sandwich and both satisfied our hunger! The chicken sandwich does get a little messy so be prepared! The quantity of fries was pretty small but other than that, would definitely come back if I'm craving chicken. Service is okay, only a few workers and you'll need to grab someone if you need something. read more
This place just opened so will be located on the third floor of the source. The 2 flavor package combo was helpful as it was hard to pick just one out of 6 flavors. Decided on corn so amazing and the chili Mayo , the skins crispy and the inside is juicy. I can see why it's so popular in Korea. The first pop up in the US! And 732 in Korea. read more

First time visiting, service was a little lacking, maybe because it was close to closing, food was good but a little pricey. There are tons of seating, great spot for big groups. We enjoyed everything we ordered: Sweet and Spicy wings (sweet sauce with crushed peanuts), Gimme Basak wings (dried seaweed) and Black Aglio (soy sauce with garlic). The sides were good too: fries, coleslaw and radish. read more
Good deals, delicious food, and excellent customer service from Gian. Ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich, Rose Tteokbokki, Large Corn Fries! Everything was delicious and portions were generous. The chicken sandwich was perfect, not oily and I loved the sauce. The Rose Tteokbokki was creamy. The Large Corn Fries were savory. Our server, Gian was friendly and attentive. He guided us swiftly through our first visit and explained the menu items thoroughly. He refilled our waters regularly. The interior is clean and there are plenty of seats. Please tell it's a joke and this place isn't permanently closed :,( this place is soooo good, my bf brought it home once and I immediately fell in love. Definitely best chicken wing place ever. The inside is spacious but a bit empty - felt like i was in a cafeteria. You order at the register, find a table, and all plates/utensils/water is self serve. The workers were nice and helpful. Foods we enjoyed: boneless gimme basak, mabulro (spicy but a manageable spice) and fries. The boneless pieces are juicy and fairly big in size. The fries are also really good! Foods that were average: black aglio, fried rice, and cheese balls. The black aglio is good but honestly I've had way better soy garlic flavor chicken at other spots. The cheese balls have a mochi consistency which I liked but flavor was slightly sweet. Fried rice was fine but wouldn't get again Foods we hated: cheese ball with the black exterior and corn-so-amazing. I was excited to see another Korean chicken spot in BP, especially since I'd heard great things about this place in Korea. I kept my order simple, going for the Sweet & Spicy chicken sandwich combo. The fries were fantastic, and the sandwich itself was good--just not extraordinary. There wasn't anything that really made it stand out, though the chicken was tender and juicy, so props for that. I guess I was hoping for a crunchier, crispier sandwich, but it didn't quite deliver on that front. That said, I'll definitely be back to try the wings--those seem like they might be a stronger choice. Stay tuned for that! read more
My husband and I have walked by this place a few times and finally decided to try it. Saw they had a promotion and it was definately worth it ! Husband and I both ordered the Chilli Mayo Chicken Sandwich. The chicken was so fresh and delicious. Juicy and just right. The sauce wasn't over powering. I wasn't spicy at all but it was delicious! We also ordered a side of reies which wasn't too bad either. The service was great and the staff was very friendly. We went when it just opened for the day so it was pretty empty and quiet. Very clean and lots of seating. Would definitely return ! read more

TLDR: lots of potential in flavor, not yet well executed Puradak used to be a pop-up under Orange Blossom Oriental Kitchen but the original restaurant has gone out of business and it has transitioned to just the chicken brand. I had a great experience when it was a pop-up so was excited to return for the grand opening. I visited on their grand opening at 5PM, which is when their dinner promotion starts. The first 50 people can get S (4pcs) boneless for $1 (normally $9). At 5:30PM, there was maybe a handful of people and over half the seats were available. I ordered: - $9 S (4pcs) boneless with chili mayo sauce (+$1) and pickled radish 5/5 - $9 S (4pcs) boneless with mabulro sauce (+$1) and fries 3/5 - $1 S (4pcs) boneless as part of the promotion 2/5 For all chicken orders, you can choose a side: fries, coleslaw, rice, or pickled radish Pros: - Chili mayo chicken is as great as I remembered; saucy and tender dark meat; I would 100% recommend trying this !! - Three size options for boneless (4pcs, 8pcs, 16pcs) allow you to try multiple flavors easily - Lots of seating inside - Food came out super fast (~5 minutes) - Self-service utensils, napkins, to-go boxes, ketchup, water (no plates though) - Remember to return trays at the entrance :) Cons: - Mabulro sauce has changed from during the pop-up and doesn't have the same heat or dried pepper toppings. Instead, it's now topped with dried bread crumbs..? (see comparison pictures below) - Fries are cold and stale which I find a problem only since I went right when dinner starts at 5PM - Most concerningly, the regular fried chicken is bad quality, dry, hard, and not properly drained of oil. From a business/marketing perspective, I'm shocked at this quality control since their whole grand opening promotion is giving away this exact chicken. - They also ran out of the chili mayo chicken at 5:30PM unfortunately. This I assume they will fix once they have data on what gets ordered most! Overall, it's concerning that quality is this subpar on grand opening as I would think it's the one day that you would put all your effort into making a good impression. Not sure if management also changed during the transition, but to the manager/owners who seem to be focused on appeasing customers through coupon books and promotions, I would focus on keeping oil fresh, doing quality control, and training staff to be friendly and competent in the first months rather than trying to win customers over with subpar discounted food. read more

As you know, there are a lot of food places to choose at The Source. My friend and I wanted to try this place. It's pretty casual and we came around 2ish and there were still a good amount of guests there. Service was fine and the food was good. I wasn't a fan of the sampler but least now I know. I really enjoyed the Mabulro sauce, it was sweet and had a spicy kick to it. I personally think it can be spicier but that's me. We received complimentary black cream cheese balls and that was a nice surprise. I enjoyed them. It's like a fried mochi ball filled with cream cheese. I couldn't eat more than two since they can get pretty sweet. read more

I love this K-mall! They have a great selection of new shops I've never heard of, which makes it worth the visit. This was my first time trying this chicken spot, and it was definitely worth the trip. It's now my new favorite place for wings! The sauces aren't heavy or overly salty--the seasoning was perfect. I highly recommend the "Black Cheese" ball. Plus, their chicken is baked, which kept it extra juicy and felt a lot healthier. I'm definitely coming back! Swing by and check out this spot, along with the rest of the mall Plus the service was great. Love the staff. The place is new, clean which is always a plus. Tried this new Korean fried chicken place at The Source and it's baked first and then fried making it very juicy. I ordered the black aglio chicken which had a good soy garlic taste to it and we also ordered the sweet chicken that is tossed with peanuts. I prefer the black aglio better for better flavor profile.
