New Fried Chicken Place on the top level of the Source. The other fried chicken place there is Pelicanas but they take forever to serve you and forget getting a table. My friends and I came by around 7:30-8 pm and the place was empty. We were sat and our orders were taken promptly. Our group was a little large so we got the Family Meal they offered. Comes with 16 wings(2 choices of sauces), tteokbokki, cheese balls, chicken salad, and two fountain drinks. All the food was pretty good and the salad as a nice way to balance our meal. For chicken flavors we tried the. Black Aglio and the Chili Mayo. Really enjoyed the Black Aglio with the fried garlic on top. The Chili Mayo was a little too heavy and just tasted like mayo on top of chicken. There's a lot of seating and a couple of other flavors so we will definitely be checking it out again!
This was an interesting eats, we came by on a random Tuesday evening. We ordered the chicken sandwich and corn flavored chicken wings. Restaurant reminds me of a college cafeteria. Service was good, our chicken was cooked nicely but the powder corn flavor seasoning was too overwhelming. I really wanted to like this place. It wasn't bad nor good just okay.
Puradak is now open at this Buena Park location on the 3rd floor at The Source. If you're like me and crave Korean fried chicken from time to time and are in the area then it is worth checking out. They have a variety of flavors including their popular Black Aglio and gimme basak flavor. I heard their cheese balls and corn is also good to pair with your wings. I went with one other person and we shared their original and new chili mayo flavor. The nice staff there gave us some black aglio sauce to try and it's sweet and savory. I enjoyed the chili mayo flavor which turned out to my favorite. It had a sweet mayo flavor and wasn't very spicy. I did come with some pickled jalapenos which was good. We also shared an oden soup on the side which was like fish cake soup. The broth was a little salty but overall good. Service was excellent. Our waiter was super nice and helpful. The chicken also came out faster than any other fried chicken place I had ever gone to. The inside is super casual and open feeling. I would come back again.
Located at The Source, 3rd floor. Came in on a weekend afternoon and no one was at the entrance to greet us. As we walked in further, it took some time for the staff member at the back register to seat us but we were confused as first time customers. Menu is alright - with a couple of chicken options, sandwich options, and sides. I tried the malburo sandwich. Despite its 3 chili pepper signs, it wasn't spicy. It wasn't bad but it wasn't anything special. Chicken wasn't dry though my order was saucy so that would've helped too. Sauce was not hitting it out of the park for me, and having tried the kfc place downstairs I prefer the other spot. Fries were regular fries.
My friend took me to the Source for the first time and we decided to try something new. So, we elected for Puradak since we were feeling like having chicken. When you walk in, you can feel it's pretty casual. You sit down and they take your order, but it's a casual vibe. The servers are friendly. The place is clean. So, on the menu you can elect to build your own wings or choose some other chicken items. I went with the wings but I was also definitely eyeing the sandwich. The wings I got had the sweet sauce on it. Word of caution-- mine came with peanuts on top so if you're allergic maybe mention that!!! I thought the chicken was pretty juicy and such. Fries were nothing to write home about. I'd say the food is good but not like something I'd be craving to come back to, you know?
The service was pretty good, they were very attentive. The food was alright, chickens are very moist and crispy, my friends and I just didn't love any of the sauces besides the chili mayo one, that one is bomb! do not recommend the cheese balls tho, they didn't taste like anything. the vibe was great, a bit empty and sad for a friday night but i guess it is what it is.
Service is good. They are so nice and keep checking on us. They even offered the seaweed chips for free :) Corn-so-amazing 100000/10 as its name. The corn flavor is just enough. Makes your regular cheese powder much more interesting. The chicken is oven fried so that explains why until the very end, barely any oil is soaked up in the liner under the dish and still keeps chicken so moist. Not so impressed with the chili mayo since the corn took the spotlight but it is definitely growing on me slowly. The tangyness from the pickled jalapeno cuts the creaminess of the mayo just perfectly ! Will definitely come back and already recommened to friends n fams LOL !
This place never disappoints! Been a while since the last visit but The only thing that changed is we get seated and get our orders taken instead of ordering at the counter. Our server was nice and attentive. It wasn't super busy around mid afternoon on a Saturday surprisingly. This time I ordered the black aglio boneless wings and it was amazing! It was so flavorful and the chicken was juicy. Loved the garlic pieces and the fries were good as well. Great place to go if you're craving some chicken!
Plenty of parking in the garage and it's free parking with a Tesla charging station. The food is amazing and the service is great. We came during lunch was it was slow and the food came out super fast. The wings were a bit small but they more than the 8 pieces that was supposed to come with the med size which more than made up for it.
Delicious oven fried Korean Fried Chicken, which separates it from the usual deep fried chicken, making it a healthier cheat at a very modern and clean restaurant. Got the: - black Aglio medium wings (8pcs for $17 bc it's 16 +$1 extra for sauce): 9/10, their version of soy garlic with cooked garlic pieces. A bit on the sweet side for my liking - paired with side of fries with corn seasoning: made the fries very sweet - chili mayo medium wings (8pcs for $17 bc it's 16 +$1 extra for sauce): 5/10, came with a HEAPING of sauce and jalapeños. Even though it has 2 fire signs on the menu and they hype it a lot, to me it's just mildly spicy and the jalapeños weren't that spicy (if you have had REAL Korean spicy, you'd know it's far from that) - paired with a side of pickled radish: also on the sweet side, but nice and pink and crunchy Located: on the 3rd floor of the Source, not far from the escalators Parking: large parking garage at the Source Misc: - There's a Kiosk to order at for To-go orders only - they already have a menu and place settings for each table

I love the flavors here. We got Gimme Basak and Black Aglio flavors, with corn fries and jalapeno poppers for sides. You order at the kiosk in front and most things like utensils and water cups are self serve. I actually prefer it this way. Everything was super yummy and I'll definitely be coming back to try more options. read more

Get the black aglio wings! It's really tasty, especially if you like garlic-flavored food. The worker was really nice and service was quick. I like that it's spacious inside and clean. I love korean fried chicken, and currently the black aglio is at the top of my list for best flavor. read more

Puradak just opened a 'pop-up' in the 3rd floor of The Source OC (replacing the Chinese Fifty One). It's still new so I'm giving it 5 stars assuming that it works out a few things. Chicken quality was amazing, with the sauce having a big variety. I would return and try more menu items. Puradak is first and foremost a chicken place, and their chicken was well cooked. We had the Mabulro sandwich and two sets of 8-piece boneless chicken and all were very moist inside. The boneless wings were about twice the size of a McDonalds chicken nugget, and maybe a bit flatter. I expect that this geometry helps to cook them while keeping the inside moist. The best flavor is their flagship Black Aglio. It is a combo of soy sauce and garlic, and bursting with flavor while still seeming to only need a light sauce coat on the chicken. There was some liquid beneath the chicken, but I didn't know until the end and also didn't think the chicken needed to be dipped. The Chili Mayo was a medium flavor, since the mayo helps temper the spiciness, although you can eat the pepper slices to take the heat up. I do think that this Mayo sauce was over-applied, since I felt it heavy in my stomach after having a single piece. This was an appropriate sauce to dip French fries into. The Mabulro sandwich is supposed to be the spiciest item with 3 Fire icons on the menu. However I would describe it as just mild, and I say that as someone with low spice tolerance. Maybe the recipe was off today, but I think the chili mayo with pepper slices would burn more than the Mabulro sauce. The sandwich was wrapped to-go and the bun became soaked in sauce. Probably better in person, although thickening the sauce up more would also redress this concern. I do wish there was more cole slaw on the sandwich. For sides the French fries are good. They have some light seasoning (salt and parsley maybe), and work well dipped into ketchup or extra chicken flavoring sauce. I liked the fries and wished that we had paid the $1 to upgrade the fries to the large side. The coleslaw was bland, barely any flavor, though it was therefore light and had a good crunch to it. read more

I'm surprised there's never anyone here because I really liked the food. I've been wanting to try this place because the advertisements around The Source looked yummy, and I was curious about the chili Mayo chicken. I've stood outside a couple times and didn't go inside because of how empty it looks. I almost didn't go in today because of the same reason, but I mustered up the courage to go inside. I was very pleasantly surprised by how good the chicken was. We got the chili mayo chicken and the black aglio chicken. Both were moist and cooked very well. I personally preferred the chili mayo chicken. I actually really liked the sauce because I like mayo stuff. It was creamy, sweet, and a little spicy... and it's also not a flavor that I see a lot. My boyfriend doesn't like sweet stuff as much, so he preferred the black aglio chicken. It's basically a soy garlic chicken with garlic chips on top. The garlic chips make it tbh. Otherwise, it's just kinda normal. I do wish that the wings were a bit bigger so that they would be more satisfying to bite into... also the fries are bland. But the pickled radish was pretty good. Overall, I think this place is underrated. The emptiness of the restaurant just throws off the ambiance a bit. I really hope this place survives... especially with the building's history of failed restaurants. read more

Service was absolutely horrible. Took several minutes to be seated even after the servers saw our group. Our server gave us attitude as soon as we finally got seated and kept forgetting to bring our drinks. Their food was even more disappointing. I ordered the chili mayo and spotted a blue spot on it. It took several minutes to get our servers attention but when he finally came over he confirmed it was indeed plastic. Then proceeds to try and hand it back to me.. only until I asked him to make a new one did he even offer hesitantly if he should ask the kitchen staff to make a new order. They thought I wouldnt notice they only remade the 1 piece that had melted plastic in it and handed it back to me. The server then hid the rest of the time. read more

My first trip here was great, not sure if they changed management but my next visit was horrible. Very bad attitude from employees, forgot to add my main order dish, no AC inside so it was hot as hell sweeting, would not let me reorder my main dish I already ordered before. What a horrible service, would definitely not recommend read more
The Black Aglio sauce was unique and delicious. The wings were flavorful but on the smaller side. It's a fast casual restaurant with self seating and self-serve plates and utensils. Overall, it was a good experience and I would come back to try the other flavors. read more

Summary - very korean good chicken place We went during lunch time and we were greeted by a kiosk. Ordering can be done through a kiosk but can also be done in person (i think). Fairly simple to do. Place is clean and feels like a korean chicken place at Seoul. My girlfriend liked how Korea it felt. As for their chicken, it was pretty good. Im not a big friend chicken person or fried food in general because its too greasy but because of their sweet corn sauce and salty and sweet black sauce, greasy flavor was bit bearable. Chicken is very tender but not rubbery like you see on most fried chicken place, like the down stair pelicans or kfc. Overall, one of the better korean chicken place in the area, better than pelicana. read more

4.5 stars! One of the better Korean chicken wings I've had Food: Black oglio wings 5/5: not too salty or sweet. It's a thicker sauce so it doesn't make the wings soggy. Crispy and moist. Corn wings 2/5: this is a dry rub so super crispy. The flavors were too sweet and buttery though. I will definitely come back to get the black oglio and try the other flavors. They have some unique ones! Service 5/5: friendly cashier and the wings came out fast. I'm used to waiting 15-30 minutes at most Korean wing places. This was under 10. I also like how they have plates, cups, napkins and utensils out in a self serve area. If you have small kids, you know convenient this is. You don't have to wait for the server to request that 10th napkin for your messy kid. This is a standalone restaurant at the source 3rd floor with plenty of tables inside and out. Super casual but good. I like it better than pelicana, bbq, and Koko. read more

My husband said, "meh," but I devoured it!! *Togo Order.* We're huge fans of Korean chicken--my husband loves it spicy, while I lean more towards the soy garlic and original flavors. While wandering around The Source Mall, we stumbled upon Puradak and couldn't resist. We were so excited that we made sure to swing by the next day for a Togo order on our way home from work. I was so hyped I wanted to order everything on the menu, but I had to hold back... We ordered two flavors: Black Aglio + Gimme Basak, a large boneless sweet & spicy, and I had to try their Mabulro flavor, so I added the Mabulro Chicken Sandwich. All of it came with a side and we chose pickled radish which was the perfect pairing. Each chicken had such enjoyable, rich flavors. Definitely recommend, and we'll be back--especially since we got a good amount of coupons! Next time, we're dining in, and I'll see what my husband thinks then (I have a feeling he'll come around). Also, I have to mention the Togo packaging--it can't be ignored. It's hands down the best chicken Togo box we've ever seen. It's just chicken, but it truly brings their logo to life! read more
Good deals, delicious food, and excellent customer service from Gian. Ordered the Classic Chicken Sandwich, Rose Tteokbokki, Large Corn Fries! Everything was delicious and portions were generous. The chicken sandwich was perfect, not oily and I loved the sauce. The Rose Tteokbokki was creamy. The Large Corn Fries were savory. Our server, Gian was friendly and attentive. He guided us swiftly through our first visit and explained the menu items thoroughly. He refilled our waters regularly. The interior is clean and there are plenty of seats. was at the source and decided to check it out! the place is clean and spacious + friendly staff. got the chili mayo sandwich ($9) with combo that comes with medium fries and a drink ($4) so one meal in total was about $13 which i find a bit pricey. the sandwich kinda needed more sauce, since it felt dry, even tho i got one that already comes with sauce. i think it would be better to get the regular sandwich and pay $1 for any sauce they offer, which comes down to be the same price of $9. maybe next time i would try their wings instead! read more
I love their name, Puradak. It sounds like Prada. My first thought was fried and flavored chicken might cost very expensive ;) I tried their 'chili mayo' & 'black aglio'. Love them both. Food was ordered on the phone and it was ready on time. I want to visit the place next time :) read more

My family and I tried Puradak today for the first time and overall it was a good experience. We ordered the family meal which the menu states serves 3-4 people and comes with a large order of chicken wings (16 pcs total and you can choose two flavors), tteobokki, 5 cheese balls, chicken salad and soft drinks for $74. We also ordered the $19 sampler plate of side dishes to supplement our meal. The service was friendly and fast. The food was good for the most part. Our family enjoyed the chicken wings and the cheese balls the most. The black aglio sauce was delicious. They gave us plenty of sauce and it was topped with sautéed garlic . The garlic had a really soft and mellow flavor and complimented the black sauce nicely. The gimme basak crispy seaweed wings were good too. I found myself mixing the crispy seasoning of the seaweed and the black sauce to dip the French fries and it was a really great combo! They garnished the seaweed wings with fried seaweed which we polished off. The tteobokki was pretty good. I could taste a little fishiness from the fish cakes in every piece of tteobokki which threw me off. Maybe they used the fish cake soup in the sauce. The texture was nice and chewy though and we ended up polishing off 99% of the plate. It had a little spiciness too. The sampler was the only thing I'd skip next time. The nacho sauce was cold which was strange. Usually nacho sauce is nice and warm but this one was kind of gloppy. Otherwise I think it woulda been okay. We dipped the fries in the black aglio sauce which was good. The mozzarella stick was hard by the time I ate it, but to be fair I ate it at the end of the meal. Next time I'd consider ordering the family meal again and get the black aglio sauce and the corn flavor. They've got a lot of interesting flavors to try. Overall I'd give it a 4.5 for the food and service. read more

the service was nice and easy, servers were all nice and attentive. the ambiance seems like a standard korean fried chicken place. the food however...i personally didn't like the oven fried concept and thought the flavors were not good. the gimme basak had no flavor, simply a touch of toasted seaweed. the black agilo tasted like straight up fish...not a fish sauce type of fish but like the chicken was fishy..i don't know maybe not for me read more

Got the boneless wings in the signature black aglio, corn so amazing, and gimme basak to share with a friend. The staff was superfriendly and recommended flavors since it was our first visit. Just found out Puradak opened inside the Source plaza in Buena Park and ordered a chili mayo boneless chicken and the fries togo and it was delicious! I was waiting for them to open in OC and so happy that they finally opened the store. I love their classy packaging, it looks such a high end restaurant level! I will definitely go back and already told my friends and family to visit! read more

I came here during soft opening and I'm glad I came back for Grand Opening because their chicken is amazing and not comparable to other chicken brands! The chicken is so crispy, savory, and juicy! Unlike other chicken brand, this one is seasoned right! Other ones are overly salty but this chicken meet my standard! I love the workers here too :) They were very helpful while ordering and they kindly explained what each and everything is! I also love the atmosphere of the restaurant because it's really clean and lively. I feel very comfortable eating here! 10/10 recommend!! read more

Quick and friendly service. Got the boneless black aglio chicken fairly quickly, and it was hot and crispy. Definitely different than other soy garlic sauces but still good! Would try other flavors in the future. read more

Ordered from the kiosk and received the food within 20 mins for dine in. This was such a let down from the first time I came here with friends a couple of months ago. The wings came out steamy hot the first time. Tonight, The food came out less than room temperature. The wings were cold. No steam coming out. You just lose your appetite. The eggs on the fried rice were cold as if it came out of fridge and topped it on the fried rice. Even the rice itself wasn't even hot. The food tasted as if it didn't come out fresh. The last thing I would want is food poisoning because the food wasn't in the right temperature to be served. The servers didn't know want to do and how to help. Definitely not coming back. Do yourself a favor and go to pelicana instead. Much better wings. read more

The flavors are super interesting here! It drew my attention because of all the unique flavors. We tried the Chili Mayo and it was super delicious. A nice balance of flavors! Definitely wish the wings were a bit bigger, but the flavor profile is really nice! Looking forward to try the other flavors on the menu. It is a very clean and open space with lots of seating. It is the first pop-up in the states. Looking forward to more of the stores open up hopefully in NorCal! read more
