August 2023 Pure Clean has come out to our preschool/church and cleaned our carpets for the last 3 years. They continue to provide excellent and friendly customer service from the receptionist, staff coming out to measure and give estimates to the staff that actually do the work. This year Donovan cleaned our classroom carpets and they look amazing. We also had him clean 4 upholstered chairs in our nursery and they look brand new. Donovan also cleaned our bathroom floor tiles and grout and that is a game changer. Pure Clean is a very professional company. I had a dog the used two of our Asian area rugs as her personal potty stations. They had been cleaned a few years ago by Pure Clean, and they came back smelling clean and fresh. They know how to clean these special rugs with care, as well as getting them very very clean. This time (spring 2021) I sent two rugs to be cleaned and disinfected, the price is much less than replacing the rugs, and I know they will not have any urine smell at all. PureClean did a fantastic, thorough job on our light-colored carpeting. They did about 600sf, and our carpeted stairway. The carpet looks like new. There were two stains they couldn't get out fully. One was a coffee stain about 2 years old that we did our best on when it happened, then shrug it off as an end table covered it. All the other stains disappeared. Our carpeting looks like new. Very happy with their work. They're not the cheapest service. I received a quick quote for $140 from another carpet cleaning service I contacted here through Yelp and thought, "no way, it costs me about $80 just to rent a machine at the grocery store." I was leery about cheap bids. PureClean came out with a base $60 a room but preferred to deliver a customized quote, based on what we needed. Eric was very knowledgeable and had excellent suggestions. He was also mindful of our two fraidy cats and had a good door seal so they wouldn't escape. The only ding I have is that Eric said the service would take about 90 minutes. Well, it took about twice that long. Also, because the equipment they use is top of the line effective, know that your house is going to be very noisy. We'll definitely use their services again. First i was told they would give me a 50 dollar discount, but the cleaner wasn't aware so didn't adjust. Gave me a 15 dollar one instead. Every online source says wet carpets can begin to grow mold after 24 hours. Ours were over 72 hours. We had gotten an email from the owner welcoming us to "the family" and to contact him with any questions or concerns. We did-no response at all.The carpets are not even clean, there are still dirty areas. We have been having headaches, coughs and asthma. We felt the only way to safeguard our health is to replace the carpets and pads, which is what we are doing. A few weeks later we got an email from the owner asking us for referrals. He also was very respectful with other people's space and the vent cleanings made a huge difference with our air since the previous owners had pets and never really had their vents cleaned out for 20 yrs. In writing this review I want to be very specific in why I am rating them 2 stars. When it comes to their overall operation they are efficient. You can tell they are a professional company who works hard to create a good experience. While they initially had a miss on my scheduling it got remedied and they issued a $50 credit for the trouble which was nice. The person who did the actual clean, Chandler, was a nice guy who was polite and prompt so no issues there. Where my frustrations lie is in the cost of the service. The home where I had carpets cleaned is a standard townhouse. It has less than 400 total sqft of carpet and a couple stair wells with no trouble spots. I asked to get a quote over email but they said they can only do in person which makes it tough as if you organize someone to come out just to quote you and you don't like it you are forced to start the whole process over in a small time frame before someone is moving in. So when Chandler arrived he measured the home and quoted me $450 for their cheapest base package. I got it down to $375 after the initial credit and getting his manager to approve $25 more. Even with those the price tag was still considerably more than others. What's more frustrating is the whole job took around 45 minutes to compete (because there is so little carpet). Chandler said the reason they are higher priced is they use their own water and it's more eco friendly. To me this is just an example of another Seattle based company jacking up prices because they can. Also good to note that while they have a lot of reviews they are likely stemming from the fact they offer to donate money to charity if you leave a review. I really was optimistic about using them but I definitely wouldn't again. read more
