Please DO NOT use this company. They state they are insured but they won't pay your claim if anything is broken or damaged. They packed a TV and broke it along with a bunch of other items during the short drive between houses. I understand if an item breaks during a move but not when it is one they packed along with several other items breaking. They haphazardly packed the truck such that metal was rubbing on metal damaging our patio furniture. They also damaged walls and baseboards, taking large chunks out of them, in addition to leaving scratches and scuff marks. During the long drawn out claim process they only offered to pay half price for anything damaged, and then went dark and never paid any portion of the claim. After four months of trying still nothing. I had the exact same experience working with the owner Zach as Jason D. did in his review. I have never submitted a Yelp review before but this experience compelled me to open a Yelp account and post. For your move satisfaction, please find moving services elsewhere. read more

I cant post a ZERO star review.. so one it is. Booked this company for an small office/commercial move 2 weeks out with the promise that "their crews are fully experienced with office furniture and will safely disassemble and reassemble the pieces properly". Figured for the hourly rate, I would have a professional crew arrive AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The move was a disaster and the crew were unqualified to do a commercial move. They had to GOOGLE how to take cubicles apart (and they were not reassebled) and they damaged 3 of the 4 desks I had by simply "ripping" them apart to move them. Missing pieces, etc. Too many issues to list, but by the time I realized it.. i had 1/4 of my office in their truck and just hoped it would improve and had no alternative... Billed by the hour and after 6 hours and still not vacated from a small office...I called it off. Now my office is completely torn apart and i have to hire another company to come and properly install my cubicles. My opinion is AVOID this company read more

I can't recommend Purely Move enough! Everyone we dealt with from the first couple calls (Alex and Jon), to our movers (Rico and Alex) were communicative, professional and just nice guys. Their pricing was clear, with no hidden or surprise costs. We had very few things to move, but it was not a local move. They got it done quickly even though they had to take a piece of furniture apart a bit to pack it in the truck and put it back together at our final destination. The guys who actually did the booking and moving were great...the owner Zach, not so much. Dispatch sent the wrong truck, but don't worry we paid for them to fix their mistake. We signed an agreement for 3 movers, but don't worry only 2 showed up. One was sick, but no one cared to inform us. So the rate was adjusted from 3 movers down to 2 movers, but don't worry Zach explained to us it's really the same price because 2 movers are slower than 3 so the pricing advertised is a scam and doesn't change. The "new rate" we paid for 2 movers was not agreed upon and when we were told the final price it was double what we originally were told. So naturally we asked the guys who were helping us move what the rate was typically and they said there must have been an error from the office so they nicely called on our behalf to get things sorted since the rate on our receipt was more than they even expected it to be. As you expected, Zach could do no wrong and he was correct with all his logic and math. But wait there's more, all the issues on their end that we tried to clear up on the phone call with Zach was ADDED to our bill because HIS employees were still on our property. So rather than keep his employees longer, adding to our bill and clearly with our hands tied we were forced to pay the doubled amount to stop the clock from CHARGING MORE! The movers were so sweet and apologetic. We tipped them cash and told them how appreciative we were of their hard work and it wasn't their fault that sometimes owners get greedy. After all the guys helping us move were the ones doing the hard labor! I guess Zach is an expert and we are simply dumb customers....not to mention we have moved our stuff 8 times in the last 10 years. I'd say we aren't completely oblivious and don't have prior receipts from other companies we have worked with over the years.... Anywaysssss we moved almost 6 months ago and I'm still fuming about how this was handled. My husband was even worried about reviewing because the company clearly had our address after all lol. I'd just recommend trying another company if I were you. Can't say I didn't warn you lol As you can see by the previous reviews left, excuses and shift blaming are commonplace on the forum that "they don't pay to advertise on" and is clearly "filtering their happy customer reviews to the bottom". The movers were on time and hustled the entire move! They worked hard, were well mannered and didn't break or scratch a thing. A moving truck and moving blankets were provided. The movers wrapped everything nicely. They went ABOVE and beyond to make a large couch fit through a small stairwell. I will use Purely Move again without any hesitation. Hire Purely Move! Honestly just do it because it will be worth every penny. First I gotta give credit to Alex for taking my call in the evening on Saturday, July 3. Purely Move wasn't the first company I called but it was the first one to answer and have ability for my move which was only a week away. Alex was great at explaining the process, cost and services so I knew it would go well. Then Chris and Jonathan showed up to moving and day and they were ROCKSTARS!!! Honestly two of the nicest, most hardworking dudes I've ever met and they did an excellent job taking care of all our stuff and moving to our new home in a timely manner. I am SO glad I found Purely Move! CJ and crew moved us from Santa Ana to Oceanside in less than 5 hours total (and you know how that Saturday traffic is on the 5). I was mostly looking for help with our big furniture, but they looked at our things and said that if we finished boxing them up there'd be plenty of time and space to pack those too - and there was! They moved us last year and did a good job. This year they moved us again and it was not as pleasant of an experience. We had a 2 man crew. They arrived at our location and I was immediately unsettled because the guy "in charge" reeked of weed as if he had literally just taken a massive bong rip before exiting the truck. They loaded our stuff onto the truck. They seemed careful, took their time (maybe a little too long) and didn't break anything. The guy was weird. He said he tried my boyfriends e bike in the parking lot and it was fast. That pissed me off. He also tried to do an Ollie on our skateboard before packing it. We are being charged hourly so I don't want to pay for someone playing with our stuff. Also, why are you playing with someone else's things?! Finally, we were ready to leave and meet them at the next location. They said that we could take our time and run an errand since they were going to take their 30 minute lunch. We made the mistake of listening to them. They texted us that they had already arrived at the location and were waiting for us. When I asked him why they didn't have their lunch he said "we decided to just come straight there." So now we were late for them and being charged for that. When we arrived they had put our giraffe sculpture in the dirt and said they thought it would be funny. If I were high I suppose it would be funny too. But it was less funny when the dirt ended up on our new carpet. Also, wtf. At this point we were just ready for them to be done. We told them to put heavy furniture inside and all boxes in the garage. I don't know if they were going slowly on purpose to rack up the bill but it took forever and they kept asking the same questions. Finally when I had to speak with the boss who tallied up the bill, he charged me for 45 mins overtime! An overtime I would assume wouldn't apply if they had taken the lunch break they said they would take. He said the bill begins when the truck stops. He said the truck stopped at 8:40. I didn't get the "we're here" text until 8:52. I think I paid $20 for that guy to take a bong rip before arriving. None of our things were damaged, this is why I'm giving 2 stars. Technically they moved us. But, it was unnerving and unprofessional. read more

They answer all the questions and they were very open and explanatory from the beginning all the charges might occur so you have no surprises at the end. They answer all the calls I made, They have all the necessary paperwork (liability Insurance) and they came on time also people come to move those three guys were nonstop work like bee's with a smile believe it or not.
