The entrance and how it says it's open Monday through Sunday from 9 am to 9pm

I came on a Wednesday at 10:13am and they were not open yet online and their sign says open at 9 am.

Yucca Fritta: Called "yuca frita" in Peru, it is fried cassava (yucca), often served as a side dish or snack, similar to French fries.

Puro Sabor, Pero Mal Servico Let me tell you, the food at Puro Sabor was pure flavor--puro sabor--but the service? Well, that was a different story! Imagine this: I sit down, ready to dive into some delicious Peruvian food, and I notice there are no prices on the menu. So, I ask the waitress, and her solution? "Look on Google." Yep, you heard that right, Google! Feeling a bit adventurous, I asked again, and she confidently says, "Don't worry, I know the prices in my head." Well, I don't know about you, but I prefer my prices on the menu, not stored in someone's brain! When I mentioned I wanted to speak to someone about the menu, she passed the buck with, "You'll have to talk to the manager." Meanwhile, I'm sitting there thinking, "Is the manager also on Google?" To be honest, I've had way better service at Chio's Peruvian Restaurant, where they're on top of things--prices included! The staff there makes sure you're well taken care of, no Google search required. All that said, the food at Puro Sabor? It was delicious. If only the service had matched the flavor!

Got the food to go but it was all delicious! Definitely recommend Papa a la Huancaina. I also got the Tallarines Verde con Bistec yum! There was also this green sauce that came with the meal it was very tasty a little spicy at first but I adjusted. The portions were decent for the price I feel.

My favorite Peruvian restaurant in the valley. So authentic and delicious. Wonderful service. I always get the lomo saltado & an Inca cola. Perfection.

One of the best Peruvian spots in the valley! Been coming for years and the food always delicious. Plus, the service is a 10/10.

We later learned this is just how they kick things off, which is a nice idea, but a quick "grab a drink while we get your table set" would make it feel a lot more intentional. After that the night was great. Our waitress was wonderful, the rib eye was cooked perfectly, the peppers and bread were both excellent, and the DDL dessert is a must. Only miss was the squash blossoms with prawn cake, not really our thing. We mentioned it casually to our waitress and my husband told her not to take it off the check. She did it anyway. That kind of thoughtfulness goes a long way. Beautiful space, will definitely be back. Cocktails and wine were also great!

Asked the bartender how their day was, first thing out of their mouth was "bad" and she was really busy, so we just sat and waited in the empty "lounge". Once at our table, it took another 5 minutes for the waiter to come by. The food was alright but not spectacular, the ribeye and potatoes were cold. We had our apps before our drinks arrived and felt rushed to finish even though we wanted to enjoy a drink with it. The worst part was after dinner we sat at an empty table for 15 minutes (no exaggeration) waiting for someone to refill our drinks and tell us the desert menu. There were 3 people who were supposed to be supervising the tables, watching our waiter cater to half the restaurant, with the whole staff walking by our empty table not doing anything. It's sad they kept mentioning "the experience", but it was a bad one.

I got a whole chicken with the sides and I decided to try the Peruvian ceviche. The chicken was good, seasoning was there. It was already precut for me so that's was kind. I was really looking forward to the ceviche and it was not good. The lime juice or the leche de Tigre was very bitter, and it just didn't taste good... Something was off about the ceviche, perhaps it spoiled quickly as my drive back home was an hour, i unfortunately had to throw it away because it did not taste edible. Service is quite friendly, and quick. I'd come give it a second try for the ceviche, maybe it was not the freshest batch or my commute was too long but I don't think food spoils that rapidly. Either way I definitely recommend the rotisserie chicken with the sides!

Each bite had a great mix of flavor and freshness. If you're looking for a tasty and affordable Taco Tuesday option, this online special is definitely worth it. I'll absolutely be ordering again!

But.. hear me out. They bring out a complementary tortilla chips drizzled in a house sauce & cotija cheese I believe...But Delicious! Nice little appetizer. I would highly recommend the Baleada, it's just a handmade flour tortilla with bean & cheese, it sounds basic, but trust it's pretty good. Perfect for any occasion. Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner. Finally I got the Carne asada plate, which I will say from the times I've been here. It never misses, always nicely cooked, seasoned to perfection, perfectly paired with these fried plantains called "Tajadas" topped with a creamy mayonnaise/thousand island type dressing. It's just a well-balanced plate. Sweet, savory, tangy and creamy! everything complements each other perfectly. My biggest complaint would be customer service, these waitresses don't know the first thing about good service, they don't know how to treat their customers, they come out as rude. Just be ready for that. Overall El Katracho Restaurant is an authentic Honduran restaurant with good food, it's a small restaurant but the ambiance is a vibe. I would recommend it if you want some good Honduran/Central American food.

The vegan plate had black beans, white rice, plantains, and a side salad. The bandeja paisa had beans, a fried egg, chicharron, steak, rice, plantain, and chorizo. The meat was perfectly grilled but the chicharron was a little tough but still good. The vegan plate had much flavor -- the beans were tasty and the rice fresh. They were very generous with the plantains. The complimentary tortilla chips and salsa were so fresh and delicious. The spinach empanada was a little tough - it was crispy but there was less spinach than I would have expected and the cheese in it wasn't really melted either. It's been around for over 20 years and is currently in a newer space than it was before; featuring more parking and a larger space. Ambiance: The interior has a relaxed feel with beachy surfer themed decor. It has a clean modern feel with a bunch of tables featuring accent colored chairs. There is music in the background and a TV on the wall featuring surfing videos. Service: You order at the counter, they ring you up and you get the food brought out. You can see the kitchen as it's open. It was my first time and it was a simple and easy experience. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Food: Some of their specialities include the 20+variations of fried empanadas (meats, chicken, pork, veggie, dessert) that come in both savory and sweet types, as well as their speciality plates such as their Korean-style flat iron steak skewers and chicken satay. The sauces they serve with their empanadas are incredible and some of the best I've ever had such as their chimmi-churri, basil-aioli and sweet & sour Thai. I recently did the lunch combo featuring a choice of a 1/2 salad or 1/2 fries, choice of any two empanadas and a canned drink. I chose beef and Kailua pig empanadas; both were great, empanadas didn't break apart and were crispy, everything was seasoned well; the filling of the beef was a bit more than the Kailua pig however. Drinks: They have various drinks such as lemonade, juices, sodas/soft drinks, and some beers on tap. Parking: The lot is large and has ample parking depending on the day and time. Prices: Prices are to the times that we're in...so not too great. Ala carte empanadas are $5+ but as you order more (4, 12) the prices come down a slight bit.
