I love the concept of hotpot x KBBQ all you can eat! Please note, if one person in the party chooses to have both, then everyone will pay for the entire party will have to pay the cost of both. For an AYCE KBBQ place, they do not actively change grills. You have to catch a staff's attention to get something. Unfortunately, our "call waiter" function didn't work because the internet connection. Quality of the thick cuts are tough. Our steak's grain was multiple directions, so it was difficult to cut. Their thin sliced meats were not as tough, but grill temperature needed to be adjusted.

We celebrated Gavin finishing middle school with high honors that Tuesday evening. It was his choice to do Korean BBQ but it was Tess that wanted hot pot, so we did both - though Gavin and I did not care for the hot pot. You order from the screen which is nice, but folks sitting away from the electronic device cannot see what is being offered. A little bit of an inconvenience, but once you place your order, the food comes out in less than 5 minutes. We had to have the grill changed twice, but our server tending to us were quick, patient, and thorough. Our iced waters were refilled constantly. The meats, especially the beef bulgogi were tender! You get free ice cream at the end of the meal. It's a good deal, a great meal for a celebration. I'm so proud of both of my kids.

Do I want KBBQ? Do I want hot pot? Why not both? You can have on or the other. You can have both? Why not? That's what I like about this place! What makes it better is that it's both AYCE! You enter hungry, but you'll leave way past full.

Honestly, the reason why this place got 5 stars is because of the service. Our server hooked us up with the lunch special, even with 3 minutes left. So top tier service, not from him, but everyone around them. The food was good and the sauce bar was pretty good. Just wish they had peanut sauce, but it was good. They were hella efficient and it was pretty well ventilated. We just got hotpot, no kbbq. Im glad they have tom yum. IDK if ill go again, I came here on a date and she ghosted me. But Qpot will never ghost me, theyre too nice and they communicate lmao. Anyway, I would come here again.

I'll start by saying that the servers and staff were all excellent, very responsive and friendly. The main reason for the 1 star is the overall hygiene of this place, especially the musty smell that was hanging in the air and seemed to also be in the broth of the hotpot I ordered, which also had a strange taste. Something about the smell of the broth made me think it wasn't just my personal preference for food that made me not like it, it was an actual musty-ness and chlorine smell. I'm thinking maybe the broth was old and reheated? Or maybe it's been boiling all day and they just added some water to it? It's really hard to describe, but I'll just say I've had a lot of different hotpot like Japanese shabu and haidilao and boiling point and really liked it, and I also really like Korean soups, but I've never had this weird musty funky smell. To be honest I couldn't continue eating after trying to sip the broth 4 times--and I tried 4 different flavors of broth. Even the miso broth, which usually just taste like miso and water with a bit of onion, had this weird funky smell, and all the broths had a similar weird undertone. There were some other hygiene issues. I noticed that the surface of the dishes had some smudges such as the picture I provided where the hotpot bowl has some dried rice stuck to it, the dried rice was there before it came to our table. It seemed like maybe they were hand washing the dishes or not doing a thorough job. Usually restaurants like this need some kind of high heat industrial washer, and maybe they aren't using that? I noticed the surface of my spoon just had a funky detergent smell similar to the broth. The sauce bar was mostly okay, however there was a really tacky looking setup where there was some soy sauce and other sauces in 1 gallon glass drink dispensers, I think the sauce was coming out too fast which caused it to look all splattered in sauce and not very cleanly looking. Also the sauce dishes were being held in a plastic dish tub which looked a bit unclean. I also noticed something going on at the entrance of the kitchen. One of the workers installed a heavy duty fan to blow air out of the kitchen and into the restaurant. I don't know why this would need to be done. If you need to dry something you usually use a mop or a squigee. So maybe it was some funky smell in the kitchen? What caused that smell? It could also be that they were going to close soon and this is just their normal end of day procedure, but there were still a lot of people eating, so why would they blow smelly air into the restaurant while people are eating?

Go for hot pot. The Korean bbq meat isn't bad but if you get thick cut the scissors barely work. Their hot pot is so good though. They tend to forget orders but it's okay cause you can just order more using the iPad. Or just order in bulk. On weekends they get really busy so the sauce bar can get hard to clean throughout the night. Tables are lined up next to each other so it's great for larger parties but it's best to send someone to put their name on the waitlist cause there can be quite the wait.

I definitely had high expectations for Q-pot, but it was honestly disappointing. The service was not good for a slow Wednesday night. I just felt like we were bothering them asking for things. We just got the kbbq. I really liked the sides and I felt like they had more to offer than other kbbq places. It was also nice that we got to order on the iPad at the table. The meat that we got was not that good, it was really chewy and full of fat, maybe their premium meat is better but it's still pricey for the regular regardless.

All we got for bbq. Didn't want to order more. SAL CHI SAL (Lb) CHADOL (BEEF BRISKET) (Lb) PREMIUM STEAK (Lb) pork belly

I gave this place another try since it close by. But just not what it used to be. Prices have come down. You can get bbq and hot pot for $25 weekdays for lunch so the was the deal that also got me to try Qpot again. Quality of the food not so good. Used to come in just for the Sal chi beef in Liu of the galbi as that is only offered at dinner or pay more. The kimchi and cucumber did not look so good or fresh. It tasted sour. The tofu seems off and stale. Only saving grace was the broth to tonkatsu not bad. Place also run down the dirty. The control for hot pot was sitting on the floor. Only one server for the floor granted it was Monday so slow lunch crowd

We went to Qpot for my husband's birthday yesterday and he got 50% off his meal! When you walk into Qpot there is an iPad to add yourself to the list and you get a text when your table is ready. We were greeted warmly by not only the young lady who sat us but our waiter as well. We quickly received our drinks and the food came out right away. One of my favorite things about Qpot is the sauce bar, which is always kept clean and fully stocked. All of the meats were very well marinated and seasoned. We had a great time and will be back.

I had a massive craving for Korean BBQ which absolutely hit the spot. We ordered pretty much everything off the menu, and every single thing was delicious. Let's talk about the Sauce Bar, this is my favorite part! I love being able to head to the bar and mix up my own "special sauce." Unlimited Everything! Aside from the alcohol of course, everything is unlimited. It's the perfect place to go when you're starving and want to try a bit of everything and the price was decent. The staff here is amazing. They were constantly checking up on us, making sure we had what we needed, and they changed our grill frequently without us even having to ask. It makes the whole experience so much smoother. Thank goodness I was with my sister and my girlfriend because they did all the heavy lifting with the cooking! If it were up to me, I probably would have burned everything on the grill, but they kept the food coming out perfectly. Overall I would say a phenomenal experience. If you're in San Jose and want great food, a fun environment, and a staff that actually takes care of you, this is the place. I'll definitely be back!

A great local spot if you live on the east side of SJ. They do hotpot and kbbq for anyone who likes variety. Tons of meat selection to choose from. I've been here a bunch of times, but this review will be for Wednesday the day before Thanksgiving. We came around 6pm and they weren't full yet, which was a surprise, but no complaints here! It did later pick up though, so just like any popular spot, come early. Our server was super attentive which is always a great thing. She was refilling our waters and changing our grills. We also kept refilling the kimchi! This place, you order off the iPad at the end of the table so make sure to have the pro of your group sit there so they can efficiently add items so that things come out consistently. Overall a great social setting for friends and family.

One thing to keep in mind is that the lunch menu is much smaller than the dinner menu. The dinner menu includes the better cuts of meat and more premium options, while the lunch menu is much more limited, which was pretty disappointing. The pork was especially disappointing. Even after cooking it properly, it had a weird flavor and just tasted like straight up pig. It lacked any real seasoning or marinade. We also tried the corn cheese, and it was nothing like the corn cheese I've had at other Korean BBQ restaurants. It wasn't cheesy at all it was mostly corn mixed with mayonnaise, which wasn't what I was expecting and definitely wasn't something I'd order again. The restaurant itself was clean, and the service was okay, so I don't have many complaints there. My biggest issue was simply the food selection and overall quality. If you're planning to try Q Pot, I'd recommend going for dinner instead of lunch since the dinner menu offers better meats and a much wider variety of options. Lunch may be less expensive, but I left feeling underwhelmed and didn't think it was worth it. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I don't see myself coming back.

Used to live close by and go all the time. We went back for the first time in 4 years and it was just as good as remembered. I love this place because you offer on a tablet and the server brings the food. That way you don't have to wait to place your next order. They also have an amazing sauce bar and multiple recommendations on sauces that are all worth trying. We went during the afternoon and got there a hour after opening. It was busy but the big rush came after we sat down. Regardless the service was great and there is plenty of space at the table to order lots of food and enjoy! I recommend going for lunch as the prices are better than most KBBQ around.

At many restaurants, that would be a problem. At Henry's, it becomes a reason to test the rest of the grill. We ordered the Porterhouse and the Sirloin, both medium rare. The Porterhouse was solid: balanced seasoning, clean grill flavor, no unnecessary tricks. A lot of restaurants can do a good Porterhouse because the cut already has drama -- bone, fat, tenderness, presentation. But Sirloin is different. Sirloin exposes the kitchen. Especially that strip of fat running along the edge. If the grill work is careless, that fat becomes chewy, greasy, or wasted. Henry's handled it beautifully. The meat stayed true medium rare, while the fat edge was properly rendered, lightly charred, and full of beef aroma. That is real steakhouse skill. Medium rare lean meat plus properly rendered sirloin fat is not automatic. It takes timing, fire control, and experience. The baked potato was simple and correct. The salad was classic old-school steakhouse style. Dark beer still feels like the right companion here. Henry's is not trying to become trendy. It is not chasing presentation. People come here to eat steak, drink beer, and trust the kitchen. Prime Rib is still the ritual. But this visit proved something important: Henry's is not only a Prime Rib place. They know beef. - Dr. C Fire controlled. Fat rendered. Medium rare verified.

The cabbage salad could would have been better with more dressing. Also had the steamed egg which was just ok and the tofu stew with a really large shrimp in it and two big pieces of tofu. It was a bit spicy but overall, the spiciness was ok. Stew also had other seafood tidbits in it which is a surprise as other ACES only offer bits of meat. Stew is a must item. The waiters were fast in delivering meats, clearing empty dishes, clearing empty tables and setting them up for new occupants. I must say this is the first ACE that I have seen the servers were very motivated. However, what they probably forgot was to change our grilling tray but it was ok as we did not sear it black. Biggest surprise was the dessert of a scoop of strawberry ice cream with a. piece of fried banana. Never had any ACE given me dessert! The place was busy but the wait did not seem to be long even without reservations. Overall, this is a must return ACE!

Updating my review to add commentary about the catering for a party…read more It was an absolute crowd pleaser! I ordered ribs, brisket, chicken, potato salad, beans, Cole slaw, garden salad, and garlic bread. The favorite was the brisket but they truly loved every bit of it. Very impressed with the packaging and presentation. They were packing it up as I arrived and everything was hot and fresh. The staff were delightful and even helped load everything into my car. The portions were very generous and I felt a good value for the money. We were all very full and happy. Received many comments about how good it was. I will tell anyone looking to cater or serve a crowd to order BBQ Pit. I ordered using their website and it was incredibly easy to do, and appreciated the email confirmations and follow-up.

This is my second time here for dinner and there is plenty of parking here. The line was not long…read moreand moved pretty quickly. The beers they have on tap are posted on the wall. They also carry cans as well that are not listed and you can just grab it from the fridge and pay at the register. There is a good amount of seating inside and there are a few tables outside as well. I ordered my stout and i let it sit as the foam settled and realized that the pour did not fill up the glass. I let the staff know and they fixed the issue by topping off my drink. The staff are very friendly and understanding. During my first visit, we ordered the ribs and brisket as well as a tri tip salad. The brisket was very tender and juicy. I usually avoid ordering briskets since most BBQ places in San Jose that I've been to have made them very dry. There was only one piece that wasn't juicy which I expected since it had no fat on it. It was still tender and not dried out. The ribs were also good. It was tender and didn't stick to the bone as much but it wasn't as tender where it just slides off the bone. The seasoning on the ribs was neutral and the BBQ Pit have their own special bbq sauce (regular and spicy) which goes well with the meat. My wife ordered the tri tip salad and she enjoyed it. I stole some of her greens to balance the meat and beer and the veggies were fresh. The salad came with cornbread but I didn't try it. On my second visit, I decided to get the tri tip woith a side of baked potato and coleslaw. The baked potato was $3 extra. The tri tip had really good flavor and texture. It ripped apart easily when pulling. The coleslaw was ok. I might get the mac and cheese or beans next time. My wife ate the baked potato and ate most of it. I tried a little bit where it was just the potato and it was not overcooked and not too undercooked. It was easy to scoop with the fork without too much effort. If you are in the area and craving for BBQ, I highly recommend trying this place. The portion is not as big as BBQ joints in Texas or KC but they are on par with the ones around San Jose. The pricing is decent and like I mentioned, is also on par to San Jose pricing. If you have a big group, there are plenty of tables to accommodate folks. The location is close to the highway so that's a plus. The staff is very helpful and will give you a good recommendation if you are debating on what to order.
