First of all, it is amazing that this cafe is upon until midnight. Such a great place to talk or do some work at any time of the day! There are also beautiful murals on the wall. When we were looking at the menu, a worker insisted that we could ask him for recommendations and that he was there to help. I loved that as someone indecisive. We ultimately ended up getting dubai chocolate, which was chocolate coated over kunafa. I loved the sweet smooth flavor with the crunchy texture!! We also got araysi and it was so yummy. The potato hand pie was also good and seasoned well. The pistachio tres leches was a little subtle but still delicious. Milwaukee may not have a lot of Yemeni residents, but I was lucky enough to go here with the native Yemeni. He told me that he was a little skeptical at first that this place cannot really have food that tastes like home, but he was surprised at how close of a match it was to the coffee back at home. All the sweets tasted very much like foods he had back at home as well. It is a great way for us to share part of his homeland with him. Since he cannot travel home and his family cannot travel here, this is probably the closest we can get for him to share part of his homeland with us so this was an excellent opportunity for us to experience what life was like for him back home. I even noticed the furniture at the store, the big long multicolored couch looks like the couch he has back home in his photos. So yes, the food was excellent. The coffee was wonderful as everybody else has said. But this café did a great job bringing in all the touches and feels of Yemen to allow someone like me to experience a little bit of what Yemen may feel like on a day-to-day basis in the café. read more

Finally made a stop and it is just as great as all the posts I've been seeing! I don't drink coffee so ordered the Adeni Tea and a Hibiscus Refresher. Both I would highly recommend! I order so many desserts but just so I could honestly try them and then share with my family since I was making a visit later in the afternoon. I do have to say the Rose Tres Leches is very strong rose so if you aren't normally someone who would go for that skip. My favorites were the Dubai Chocolate Bar and the Biscoff Cup. This was a little stop on our way out of town and we could not be happier we made the 10 minute ride out of the way based on the reviews. I'm a big Turkish coffee fan and if we had stayed in house I would have totally gotten it because it looked divine, but alas, we had to hit the road. The place was packed out on this Saturday morning at about 10:30 with 15 people waiting for their orders. Despite that, it was QUICK to place our order. The individual at the register helped me pick something authentic and yummy according to my personal coffee likes. She as so kind and helpful despite being so busy. We were handed a buzzer! We thought, oh man this is not a good sign. We waited for no more than 7 minutes, the whole time hearing buzzers and watching joyful customers go pick up their orders. What a fun experience we had. We were there in a Sunday morning the place had a constant flow of traffic. We ordered a large array of coffee and some snacks. Favorite was the pistachio latte. The honey bubble bread is a must and the Dubai chocolate was delicious. We can't wait to go back. We brought along our cribbage board to entertain our family while enjoying our many cups of coffee. The pot of coffee is kept warm with a candle warmer. The service was great and everyone was friendly. I try to enjoy a coffee shop experience at least once a week. This week, my husband suggested Qamaria Coffee, which neither of us had ever tried. Qamaria Coffee is a small, national chain (20ish locations, mostly in the midwest) of Yemeni coffee houses. Did you know the first cup of coffee was made and enjoyed in Yemen? Now you do. It is an absolute delight. They offer a variety of pastries and baked goodies. They lean mostly into the sweet, with little savory options. I didn't think there were any savory options (which is what I prefer) so I ordered the honeycomb. However, I did notice a minute too late that they do have veggie samosas! Either way, the honeycomb was decadent and delicious. It's a cheese stuffed, honey drizzled, and flavorfully spiced. My goodness. One of the best pastries I've enjoyed in a long, long time. It was sweet without being overly so. It was pitch perfect. For my coffee, I got the Qamaria latte. Made with almond milk and flavored with cinnamon and cardamom--it was also one of the better lattes I've enjoyed recently. They're located in an unremarkable strip mall on South 76 in Greenfield. The outside does nothing to hint at the goodness within. The atmosphere is sleek, modern and comfortable with plenty of seating. Wherever you live in the Milwaukee metro, I promise you--they're worth the drive. The service was kind and efficient. I will be back. And, often. Get to it! read more

Love the cultural diversity of MKE's coffee world. In our visit, the baristas were all very friendly and worked very efficiently. We got our coffee and cake pretty quickly. We are not familiar with Yemeni coffee, but still had a lovely experience here. Got the hot Mufawaar coffee, iced pistachio latte, iced Qamaria latte and pistachio coconut cream cake. The Mufawaar coffee and Qamaria latte both include cardamom and milk / cream so we definitely tasted the spice and the creaminess. The Mufawaar coffee was served super hot so definitely plan to wait a few minutes before taste it. The pistachio latte had layers and after we mixed the espresso and milk on top with the pistachio sauce at the bottom, it was sweet and delicious. This place is soooo good. The only downside is that it is expensive. The drinks and food are very tasty, the service is (a bit slow) but friendly, and the vibe of the place is clean, bright, and simple. There is also a lot of space to sit so big groups are easy to accommodate which I love. My personal favorite is the pistachio latte. It is so delicious. The pistachio part itself (the green part that you can see in the photo) is more of a paste than a syrup. So it is thicker. This means that you really have to stir it well and kind of wipe it off the sides of the cup (it sticks there since it's a paste). It does dissolve easily in the drink and turn a more homogeneous color. It's delicious and you get the full pistachio flavor that way, but of course having the colors separated is very cool for the appearance. This is my favorite drink here, but be aware, it is expensive... almost $8. One size only. The basboosa cake was nice but maybe a little try. It's a semolina flour cake (very soft) with syrup on top and cream in the middle. Nice twist on an original middle eastern dessert. Finally the drink my fiance ordered was the brown sugar oat milk latte which he also very much enjoyed. The quality here is great, and you definitely do pay for it, but at least you know you are getting a quality product. I love this place, and will return myself. I recommend you try it too. read more

I can't quite remember how we found out about this place but I'm glad we did. This is located in a strip mall, and the inside is quite large, bright, airy, and pleasant. On one wall, there are brightly colored cushions, and plenty of seating throughout. We stopped by for tea, coffee, and dessert. After placing our orders, we sat down in the cushiony section. It's not normally something you see in a coffee shop and we really liked that seating option. For dessert, we tried the rose tres leches, espresso tres leches, and another dessert that starts with a B, the name of which I can't remember, but they were all delicious. My favorites were the tres leches, and I can't decide between the rose and espresso. For drinks, we had the chai, tea without milk, and a coffee (four different kinds of drinks). The chai had good cardamom flavor and it was strong! That was a surprise, because chai that I've gotten out is usually weaker and too sweet. This was not the case. It tasted similar to the authentic chai I make at home. Everything was good. The shop is open late for Ramadan, until 2 am (yes, you read that right). This is a great addition to the Milwaukee coffee and tea shop scene. Will definitely be back! read more

This isn't your typical, run of the mill coffee shop. It's a big, bright and inviting space with a menu, culture and vibe unlike other coffee spots in and around Milwaukee. It's a Yemani / Middle Eastern coffee shop serving up the best Pistachio Iced Latte I've ever tasted and I'm a pistachio-crazed person. I also highly recommend the Ice Qamaria Latte too. And don't get me started on the viral Dubai Chocolate bar - it's divine! The first time I had this sweet treat I almost did one of those embarrassing, eye closed "ohmygoshthisissogood" moans. Yes, it's THAT good. On top of the amazing drinks and eats, the presentation was on point. The service was efficient, helpful and friendly. There's several different types of tables and seats available - benches, cozy deep-seated chairs, high boys, etc. - making this a great spot to catch up with friends or work remote. WiFi was fast and the password was clearly displayed by the register. Parking wasn't an issue but the lot is on the smaller side and street parking typically is tough to find in the late morning/afternoon. Prices are more than fair but the credit card reader wasn't working when I last stopped in. I imagine it was a one time glitch. If you love coffee especially from different cultures I highly recommend you add Qamaria to your list! read more

A friend and I visited for our first time this morning. We loved the space - lots of seating and very cozy. The staff were very friendly and helpful with our orders as newbies. I had a 16 oz. Mufawaar and a Honey comb. My friend ordered a latte with nondairy milk and a Honey comb. They took our name and carried out our orders to our table on a cute tray, which was a nice touch. I loved the mufawaar - it had some spice to it & was a different taste that I loved. This would be a great to order as a pot and share with someone. My friend enjoyed her latte, which was also very pretty. We both loved the Honey comb, which they toasted for us and served with a side of honey. Each little cube was filled with cream cheese. From the Yemeni coffee and the pastries offered, I think I've found one of my favorite go to spots for treats and great coffee. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that pizza is offered (small individual sized), I opted for a cheese and veggie pizza and it was delicious! My favorite dessert is the honey comb sweet bread with cream cheese, but I decided on a chocolate crissoant this time and it didn't disappoint. First thing I noticed was clean environment. No trash on the floor or dirty tables. And it was like 8:45 which is like hot mess hour for coffee shops. We were greeted by a super friendly man and we were given the time to look at the menu and order without being rushed. Ordered the famous pistachio iced lattes and the honeycomb cheese bread. My biggest regret is not coming here sooner! The Pistachio Latte (hot) was to die for-it was perfectly balanced and I will 100% be having it again in the future (maybe I'll even try the iced version).
