Okay so this is my second time here I wanted to visit some other places in the area to get an idea of the results and I must say my dog looks and smells the cleanest by far after coming here way better than Petsmart. We also went to a self-service place where you wash your dog yourself and used all the different oatmeal shampoos and conditioners and our dog still didn't smell as clean as it did when it left QD doggy so I highly recommend this place my dog is about 85 pounds and has a lot of hair. They are also flexible on appointments and drop off and open 8 to 4 Monday through Saturday. read more

I took my mini schnauzer here earlier today and I am very happy! they gave him the works, bath, anal cleaning, cut, blow dry, clean the ears, nail trim and file, all for $45. which is very reasonable compare to other groomers in the area that charge minimum $55 and go up. The staff is very nice, friendly and loving towards the dogs there. I was able to get an appointment same day, and pick up my dog after about an hour and a half, and he looked like a new dog! they do breed appropriate hair cuts, and it was just really nice experience for both me and my puppy for his first real groom :) I recommend this place and will be coming back here for my grooming needs. read more

I have taken my dogs to many groomers since they were puppies and this is the worst experience we have ever had. We used to come here but will NEVER come back. The last time I took my dog here, he came back with multiple cuts and bruises. This time, they also tried to upcharge me and when I asked to speak with the owner, they claimed that he was "unavailable" and wouldn't give me his number. They also claimed that my dog was more difficult than usual and that they try their best to avoid scratching him -- which they've obviously already done in the past! I have also taken him to them in past so that does not justify the upcharge. This is very similar to what others have described in reviews below. When I agreed to pay the fee, the man up front proceeded to tear up my information card in front of me to prove a point. I've taken my Lil one to many groomers and she gets nervous. I dropped her off at 10:30 and made a hair appointment in between drop off and pick up. Maria said that since it's our first visit, she wanted to spent more time with her. But to my surprise, I got a call from Maria at 12:10 saying that Pepper was ready to go! From my past experiences it's a easy 2-3 hour visit and I was still in the middle of my hair appointment but Maria reassured me that she will take care of Pepper. I arrived around 3:30 and first thing I noticed was that Pepper was not caged. She was running around the permitted area and she looked so happy. Most of the time she can't wait to be back in my arms. Needless to say that my Pepper felt comfortable here and to top it off this is the best cut she's had ever. Very unhappy and disturbed after calling four days early for a grooming appointment and as a steady customer being turned down. I explained that my little dog was having a tenth birthday and a party at the dog park but the woman (Maria, I think), told me it's Christmas and they're too busy. It would have only been the 12th of December. I always gave a hefty tip. (Most people leave a dollar or two in the tip jar). I always gave her $20. This is really bad business on their part and when I told her I'd have to find a new groomer she almost encouraged it. I have reported this to my friends in the dog park and some of them had already quit this shop's service. Very angry and insulted at the stupidity in that shop. read more

This is the best dog groomers. Maria is so good with the dogs and is very accommodating. I made the tragic mistake of taking our puppy to Calis Grooming in Mission Viejo when I tried to get our dogs in at the very last minute with Maria. That was the worst mistake of my life. Calis groomers hung our puppy and she died. Ever since I will not let anyone touch our dogs other than Maria. She is the ONLY one I trust. They do a great job, they are priced well and their shop is clean. You need to book appointments in advance but that's only because she cares to make sure she can take her time and the dogs are not stressed just waiting. Maria doesnt line the dogs up and rush through like other groomers. Believe me if a groomer just rushes, accidents happen like what happened to me. I LOVE Q D Doggie. I am super picky with groomers, so when I stumbled upon Q D Doggie through great Yelp reviews, it felt like my prayers have been answered. The problem with other groomers were that I usually find some uneven haircut on one of my dogs, but I don't have that problem with QD Doggie. Maria is super sweet and my dogs (one Shih-Tzu & one Yorkie) literally cannot wait to run inside to see her. I am not used to writing negative reviews but am so angry about what happened today that I have to. I have been away for a few days, and asked my wife to try out QD Doggie as a potential new regular place to have our Goldendoodle groomed etc. As we had never used them before, we wanted to try them out with something really simple before we went as far as having them actually groom/trim him. Very clear instructions were given: shampoo, brush, nails trimmed, ears plucked, hair between pads trimmed - NO GROOMING OR OTHER TRIMMING - that's not too difficult to follow right? My wife picked him up after a couple of hours and was too shocked to say anything at the time, but knew how I would react. When I came back from my trip this afternoon I could barely recognize him. They took it upon themselves to trim his ears, face, belly and eyes, and most egregious of all shave his nose! He's a Goldendoodle NOT a Poodle - no nose shaving EVER! But what's more they shouldn't have been doing any trimming at all, let alone changing his whole appearance after instructions for NO GROOMING. Who does that? If We had actually requested grooming we would have given clear instructions and a picture of how he should look. We didn't think to do so when it was pretty much a shampoo and a manicure! It will take months for his face to grow back to the way a 'doodle should look. Very angry, very disappointed, and this isn't a mistake that can be made right. read more

Great new place. The owner was a super nice lady and its a very clean place. They bathed and groomed my 45lb Golden-doodle. Lets just say he's looking very handsome. I had him cut last month with a mobile pet groomer and they charged $150???? This place charges a respectable $60 and its just as good. We took our two mini Australian Shepherds there for the first time and had a great experience. Both were done in about 2.5 hours... when I got there I could see they were just sitting calmly in the back waiting for me and not in some cage (I was worried about that since they are medium size dogs). They did a really nice clean even hair cut on both and the service was all inclusive. We usually take them to PetSmart which charges extra fees for every little thing. PetSmart also wouldn't take our dogs on weekends since they get more anxious, but these groomers seem to know how to handle them and use the hand dryer instead of the cage dryer. Now we've found a place to go that will take our dogs on the weekends. We will definitely go back. read more

The owners are really great. They want the client to be happy. Something to be aware of. They let friendly dogs socialize and not lock them up in cages. Since my Yorkie was only 4 months old the first time I took her for grooming, they let my bring her in right after closing when they only had a couple other dogs waiting to be picked up. 30 minutes later I had a clean cut pup. I took her in for a second time last week and my dog was so excited to be there. She didn't care about me, she just wanted to get behind the gate and hangout with the other dogs. They did a great job, but I wasn't quite sure I liked the way they trimmed her face. I called and explained the situation and they let me bring her back. I showed them a picture of what I expected and they did a fantastic job. Take your dog in, let them know your expectations (use a picture to make it easier) and they'll give you back a show dog. read more

I think we have finally found our go-to groomer! We have a 55lb boxer mix who sometimes breaks out in bumps on her back after going to the groomer and this is the first place that she hasn't! This small business is very fairly priced, wasn't afraid to trim and file her nails down as short as possible and she came out stress free and smelling great!
