First time here and I'm excited to return! The wings were delicious- no breading, with crispy skin and perfectly prepared. The blue dressing and Buffalo sauce were so delicious. The ABSOLUTE worst! Grew up in Chappaqua visiting after years away. Always was our home bar. This place is horrible. Owner/ bartender zero interaction with customer, even worse, bad attitude. Let's start with the positive, the food, and ambiance were great. We walked in at 7:39 and the place was empty, ordered an starter and two main dishes. By 9:00 after we paid and asked the food to go, (the charged us extra for preparing it to go) we got tired of waiting and left. It was our first and last time there. This place is known for the burgers, you won't go wrong ordering one... My family in the area have been frequenting this place for years. OUTSTANDING TURKEY BURGER!! No joke.. The SALMON BURGER is fantastic as well! The beef burgers are good, however the turkey (they were written up in westchester magazine for the turkey burger years ago) and the salmon burger are really awesome. Love the fresh sweet potato fries, onion rings, or they make a nice homemade coleslaw as your choice of side (shoestring fries or regular fries too..).. The food was not very good. Although the bean soup was ok the fish and chips was nothing to write home about. The nachos were made of cheap ingredients. We did not sample the beers. Do not have pineapple juice it was canned and off. The burgers were ok but the fries were undercooked ! Overall I would not return to this place. This is a good small-town bar with decent chow. And you can always catch a game here. I highly recommend the breakfast burger with a fried egg on top! But the salads are also good. And of course the beer is cold, and the owners are locals... members of the community worth our support. Sunsets are beautiful at this charming local tavern. Its hilltop perch basks in late day sunlight at the bar and outside tables. It has a local gastropub feel with good energy; music and plenty of big screen television sets for watching a game. Friendly service is a huge plus; the bartender Erin will take good care of you. Great beers on tap, and a local crowd that isn't too divey, nor snooty. The food is solid. I recommend the lettuce wrap chicken, which is prepared sort of Thai-style and pretty healthy. I really wanted to like this place, to the point I've gone about 6 times. Staff is always friendly and helpful and that's what's bought us back each time. Can't do it anymore though. Food has no flavour and is overpriced for the quality. We've tried many items on the menu and each and every time it leaves us feeling, blah. Even their burgers, at least season them with salt and pepper please. Way too many places in surrounding towns that are far superior for nearly every item that's sold here. I really think the owners should visit a few of them and see what they're up against and serious consider making changes in the kitchen. Small local venue. Good selection of food, it pretty mixed. The staff was very nice but a little understaffed when it got busy on a Sunday night with just one waitress/bartender that I could see. I ordered the marinated portabello dish which came with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. It came out relatively fast and it was very good. They're probably selling off their old pre covid supply of frozen (bad) food. Yesterday 4 of us went for the two for one burgers. short story - three of us had to take Gaviscon that evening. The burgers did come out at the correct temperature. First, it took a long time from ordering until delivery. Second, they were tasteless. The shoe string fries were soft and tasted as though they were reheated more than once. Sweet potato fries were beyond soft, they were mushy. Even at 2 for 1 it was not worth it. Funny thing is we have been there before for main courses and those were good. read more

"Well the waitress brought us some extra dressing when requested. It came in one of those ketchup cups you get at McDonalds. Great wings while everything else is average. However, I do enjoy how they use unique condiments for their sandwiches instead of the usual "plain" or ketchup option. Went here for lunch today, ended up ordering a burger which cost $19. I'm not averse to spending that much on a good burger, and the server assured their burgers are good, so I ordered one and was looking forward to enjoying it. When it arrived, the bun was greasy to the point that when I touched it to cut the burger in half, it made my fingers look like I had just dipped them in olive oil. The bun also had a fuel-like aftertaste, which I imagine it picked up from the gas burner. The burger patty was over cooked, dry and tasteless. I ate the first half of the burger with the bun, and started eating the second half without the greasy, fuel-flavored bun before I just stopped eating and pushed the plate away. The fries which came with the burger were not much better; over cooked and tasteless. I don't understand how this restaurant's owner thinks he/she can charge this much for an awful burger and have guests come back. Or not leave a negative review! My husband and I had a wonderful experience at the Quaker Hill Tavern today. We randomly passed by and entered for a quick bite and a drink. Only to receive great service, delicious food and a good beer selection all for a fair price. We recommend it to anyone in the area! Try their zucchini sticks!! Fantastic! This place is not very good. I got the nachos. They arrived ice cold and with no salsa which I found odd. My girlfriend ordered the chicken wings and there was a hair in her food. The service was also very slow and we were practically the only ones there. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because the cookie skillet dessert was good. Other than that this place was bad and I will not be returning. They charged us 10 dollars for the dessert and when I brought it to their attention that the menu said it was 8 dollars they acted as though they were doing me a favor by lowering my bill by 2 dollars. read more
