Everybody wants to save money, but before you go looking for a random Facebook Mechanic that you don't know what he's gonna do to your car this guy beats their prices professional do you have a receipt and does a great job I was looking for somebody to change my fuel pump on my 2010 suburban don't have a lot of money to spend on it kept calling to Facebook mechanics honestly scared of them. They're working on their back dropping a gas tank they're gonna break something else my fuel lines I put my kids in the car and then I found Brian, put my truck on the lift like it's supposed to be change my fuel pump on time and I save money and I got a receipt you ain't gonna beat this place so happy I found it. Antifreeze doesn't convert to water! My son flushed the radiator and replaced the engine coolant. He then gave me the car to drive and I've had it about a year and a half. When the rear brakes needed to be repaired, I just stopped driving because I didn't trust mechanics. My son lives out of state so I started taking LYFT everywhere. That was better than getting cheated by a mechanic. As I was taking a LYFT to the airport, I was telling the driver about my car situation and my lack of trust I have with mechanics. She swore by Brian at Qualified Automotive; his trustworthiness and fair prices so I decided to give Brian a try and I'd never been so pleased with a mechanic. I referred many people to Qualified Automotive. In April of this year, Brian serviced the a/c. It was perfect! By June, the air wasn't blowing cold so I took it back to Brian. I waited about an hour for him to check it out. He said that he drove the car 3 different times and a/c works fine. When I drove the car home, the a/c worked fine, as he stated. In July of this year, the car overheated on the freeway. The little gadget that my son has in the car that gives a diagnostic report said that it's "misfiring". The a/c that Brian serviced in April and June of this year had also stopped working. I called Brian and he told me to bring it in. When I arrive at 10:00 AM, he said that his mechanic had to leave and to bring the car back. He stated that he couldn't service the a/c that day either. When I took the car back to Brian, he had me sit in the waiting area. Later he came in to tell me that the a/c needed a hose and that he had to order it. He also stated that he wanted to repair the misfire condition on the same day that he serviced the a/c and that he would call me when the hose arrived. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After a week, I hadn't heard from Brian so I called to see if he received the hose for the a/c. He stated that it's in route from Texas and that he'd let me know when it arrived. The following week I called Brian but no answer and he didn't return my calls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I decided to call Brian from a different number and he answered. He stated that the place where he ordered the hose didn't have the hose. Evidently, he forgot that he told me that the hose was in route from Texas. He went on to say the he needed to send my a/c hose out to be rebuilt since he can't find one anywhere. I knew that Brian was not being honest for two reasons. One, he previously stated that the part was in route from Texas. Two, I had already searched the part when Brian gave me the estimate in writing ( see photo). On September 27th, I decided to let Brian know that I knew that he was lying. I sent a text with a picture of the part to show him that I'd already searched the part. The reason I'm writing this review is not because Brian gave me the run around and lied but because the mechanic who replaced the ignition coils and spark plugs to correct the misfire, changed the oil and flushed the radiator (while I was watching), pointing out that the radiator was full of water. He had me stick my finger in the mouth of the radiator and it was nothing but water. While he was draining it, I was hoping to see some green liquid come out but that wasn't the case. After the mechanic finished everything, I called my son to tell him that the car probably overheated because there was no engine coolant in the radiator. That's when he told me that he, himself filled the radiator with antifreeze before he gave me the car to drive. That's why I changed my review from 5 stars to one. I can only wonder what Brian was going to do to the car if I had taken it in for him to "send the hose out to be rebuilt". Are a/c hoses even rebuilt? read more

Change your shop name to unqualified automotive Brian because you don't know a goddamn thing about how cars work I spent well over $2500 with your so-called expertise to get my car to pass smog you sent me out the door several times with the check engine light off only for it to come back on again after driving it 50 miles $1300 for a improperly installed exhaust manifold a catalytic converter that was chopped off and installed backwards ridiculous 200 something dollars for a mass airflow valve and the car still did not pass smog. Charged me for work they didn't perform. Brian said they put in 2 gaskets on throttle body. Upon replacing bolts I found same gasket I had installed on TB. Did work without authorization. Had to heli-coil throttle body bolts they stripped. Gave me back my truck and it ran worse than when I brought it in. Qualified for what I am not sure. I would avoid bringing your vehicle to this mechanic. read more

QA fixed the mess up a previous shop did. Previous shop grounded a wire and when installing a starter and killed the alternator. QA installed a new alternator and that one died too. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO QUALIFIED AUTOMOTIVE! I have spent over $3000 on repairs with Qualified Automotive in less than a month and driven it only 600 miles and the end result is that the engine is shot! Qualified Automotive will keep your car for overextended periods of time and will not call you with progress reports. Qualified will not show you the parts that have been replaced. Qualified does not stand behind their "workmanship". In 2013 I took my Eurovan to Qualified Automotive for a valve job. Qualified had my vehicle for over five weeks! The odometer was 136,358 the cost was $1,513. In 2019 Qualified told me I needed another valve job! I only drove this secondary vehicle 8,300 miles! Qualified told me the cylinder head had a crack and had to be replaced. I had to provide Qualified with a replacement cylinder head. Qualified had my vehicle for over 11 weeks! The odometer was 144,668 and the cost was $1,934. The very next day as I was driving over a long single lane overpass with six passengers, smoke started pouring into the van and out the back! Qualified stated the problem was caused by a broken coolant hose and that the head gasket needed to be replaced. The work order indicates that they did another valve job that was not authorized. The odometer was 144,962 the cost was $828.68. I only drove my vehicle for 294 miles! Qualified had my vehicle for one month! After three weeks I decided to test my vehicle on the freeway. I drove my vehicle approximately 15 miles when the engine started rattling. I stopped immediately and had the car towed back to Qualified Automotive. Qualified has indicated that the cause was a bad oil pump and that the main bearings in the engine need to be replaced. In other words the engine has to be replaced. I only drove the vehicle 307 miles. It has been over two weeks and I have not heard from Qualified Automotive. I am a 73-year-old combat veteran of the Vietnam War with a service connected disability and I live on a fixed income. read more

Qualified did a complete inspection and came back with a reasonable price. They recommended some repairs and guided me to wait on others. The best part of Qualified Auto is they stand behind their word. I had a miscommunication regarding an inspection fee and they didn't charge me even though they could have. I am a customer for life. There is only one reason they don't get 5 stars. It does take some time for them to inspect the vehicle and come back with a diagnosis. We were highly recommended to the shop by 2-3 people ! We were very excited to have a place that we thought was trust worthy , "qualified" , integral well I touch with there trade and capable of doing what they say they could and for the price they said it would be !!! Unfortunately none of these were the case .... We took TWO of our Vehicles in the same week and payed a total of $2,500 . Two days after we got then back the things that were supposed to be fixed WERENT and there were MORE things wrong with the car than when they got it .... I am a local "Vegan" I try to always go by referral and use mom and pop shop places .... This was and continues to be a terrible hardship in our family's vehicles both cars are still broken and we are out $2,500 .... I was told to take my car here when HONDA wanted 400 bux to do brakes and I have to do them every two years. It should not average 200 dollars a year for brakes! So I took it here and it was far less expensive. I have also had them recharge my air conditioner. Fast and cheaper than HONDA.
