Finally got a chance to try quarter sheets and I may have found my new favorite pizza in LA. Since we live in the area, I was able to order delivery through their website. It took a while for the pizzas to be delivered as I'm sure they're always busy, but it was well worth the wait. The two pies we ordered were the pepperoni and the quiet storm. Both were delicious but the Quiet Storm stole the show. I must say that the added cured lemon and gremolata worked really well with the rest of the ingredients and added some zest to cut through the richness of the rest of the pizza. I would highly recommend this, especially if you like mushrooms on your pizza. Will hopefully land a reservation to dine in sometime soon. read more

The desserts are exceptional here. The princess cake was delicious and light, had good degree of moisture, had an interesting coating, and was not too sweet. One of the most impressive cakes I've had. I also had the cheesecake which was really good too. Easy 5-star Yelp rating due to these desserts. The red top and pepperoni pizza were good but I felt the sauce/cheese needed more flavor. The bianca pizza tasted okay. I think when it comes to pizza, they excel at the textures as their pizzas have nice, crispy edges and a fluffy interior. Was this the best Detroit-style pizza I've had? Definitely not. Interestingly, the restaurant was not full and the line outside almost inexistant. We were excited with all the hype around this pizza place and quite frankly, we were disappointed. We ordered the house salad which was seasoned well but at $ 22, for just greens, it was not worth it. We ordered 3 slices of the Detroit style pizza and it seemed like we were eating good bread with a thin layer of topping. These Detroit-style pizza's were so great! The crust is thick, crunchy, and caramelized at the edges in that perfect, borderline-addictive way. The cheese pull is serious, and you can tell they're not skimping on quality ingredients. The vibes are casual but confident. We came with no reservations on a Saturday evening right at opening and were able to be sat. 3 friends and I got a whole pie of red top, as well as a slice of Sicilian corner and pepperoni to share. I am an eater. I mean most people are, if they are lucky and have access to a basic life staple. I am and I have, but beyond that, I plan outings around bites and nibble destinations, which means that I tend to be hit by IG reels, articles, and such that lead me to popular joints. That is how I knew that Quarter Sheets was a pizza joint I should try based on the buzz and applause surrounding the joint. And I wish I could agree with the hype of the masses, but on this occasion I have to be the person who was not sauced over by the pizza of Quarter Sheets. I would like to think that I am not the sour grape of the bunch, nor the over-fastidious sheep of the flock, nor the person who saw the Emperor's bare bottom, I am just willing to share my opinion based on what I experienced--- which makes me just respectfully honest, I hope. My friend Conrad and I were in the DTLA area, and we decided to visit the joint because it was in our to-enjoy list. We pull up close the joint and see that the line was long, the cars were clustered, and LA was rained soaked. All elements conspired to deliver this message: enjoying this pizza will require maneuvering, patience, and strategy. As I parked the car, I took the task of finding parking, divide responsibilities to facilitate the conquering of a pizza box before others. I drove, endured honks, tried to understand why someone would have their blinkers on, and slowly moved forward as I tried to go around them. Yes, part of the securing this pizza is being prepared to withstand a crowd, scarce parking, unless one lives around the area and can walk to the place. Although, not pictured, the pizza box said, "from your neighborhood pizzeria" which fortifies my statement that this bite is one of wonder if one is blocks from it. But if you made a special trip like me for the treat, then you may find yourself underwhelmed. But then again, what do I know, Spider Man is a friendly neighborhood spider man and he has save the planet from threats outside of Manhattan and Queens, so this pizza might have promise beyond its blocks, just not for me. I eventually got lucky and found a parking space around the corner of the joint. on Sunset Bvld. this kind of parking arrival feels like a lesser dream delivered, like being given a free coffee drink on your birthday by a friendly barista. By the time, I went to meet Conrad he was next in line. I asked the cashier/host, who was framed by a service window, if there were seats available. He basically suggested that getting a seat right now would require a Governor's blessing, so I just ordered on the spot, at the window: the pepporini, the red top with ricotta, the polish riviera, a spicy sausage slice, and a rasberry chiffon cake, they did not have the princess cake available. I did not take a picture of the menu, butwe got those four. And, overall, none of these slices had a strong individual profile, meaning that they were crafted but too familiar to be a unique bite that introduced me to more than my taste buds know. In other words, the pizza was too familiar to be enjoyable as a stand alone LA pizzeria. The one that came closest to being a fresh treat was the Riviera which had Weiser Potatoes, Pistachio Pesto, Taggiasca Olives, Cured Lemon, Garlic Cream, Mozzarella & Pecorino. All of these ingredients gave the pizza taste personality, it was the cool girl in the flea market, shopping for items that did not seem to work, but did, because she knew how to make them work as an ensemble cast. My first bite had potatoes, other pizza had the saltiness of the olives, and the pesto was easy to enjoy. Conrad threw his half away for the first bite, but he enjoys staying in a familiar lane. I was mad that he did not let me finish his half. But, here is the thing, I would go here to get this pizza again, if I was in the area, I would not make a special trip for it, even though it was grand pizza. If one goes to the 4th Horseman in Long Beach, I think their pizza is braver in spirit and more delicious in profile but it might not have the LA pizzazz that this place enjoys because of its location and maybe branding team. I offer a point of comparison, for anybody that cares to know, I know that this recommendation might only be understood by me. Another thing, is that I really enjoyed the chiffon rasberry cake that I had. I wanted to have their princess cake, but it was sold out. An Infatuation article that I read, described this cake as one of the best in LA, so I definitely want to ty it, and see what the hype is about. But should a pizza place have a cake that is better than their pies? So will I vist this place again yes, but for specific reasons, not to try what I already know to be there, even before I went. read more

Cute small shop with lots of people ordering takeout as well. My friend and I were lucky to grab seats at the bar on a Tuesday dinner. We were extremely excited to try this spot but expectations unfortunately fell short. The pizza slices we got were definitely delicious and found that three slices was the perfect portion for the two of us. However the princess cake was a bit disappointing especially at the high price point. It wasn't bad but it also wasn't the best. The worst part of our experience was unfortunately the service. My friend and I were extremely uncomfortable with how unfriendly the servers were with us. We were one of the only POC parties and noticed immediately the difference in interactions they had with the other parties around us which completely ruined our experience. Life has never been the same after trying this pizza. I mean seriously, I think about it at least once a week, and whenever I plan on going to LA I think about how I will be able to incorporate this pizza into my schedule. It's this little hole in wall looking place on the outside, but looks can be deceiving. It is located near dodger stadium, which is perfect if you're heading to the game, and there is always a line which tells you just how good it is. The line may look long but it goes by pretty quick, and even if you get there right on time there will most likely be a line, especially the weekend. But trust me, it is more than worth it. They have indoor dining as well with a few more menu options which I am planning on trying soon, but if you are going for take out I might suggest going early or ordering ahead of time. They have limited times, I believe 5-9 so make sure you check the hours before heading over. Each time I went I got the Bianca pizza which tastes so crisp on the outside and so so fresh. They sell them both in slices and whole pizzas which is perfect for sharing. The staff are all very nice despite the busyness, and there is always a great crowd there. Free street parking is available, and bring your friends so you can see their faces when they try it for the first time. If I could give this place a 10 stars I would, I will be back as soon as possible. read more

My husband and I ate here a few weeks ago and enjoyed it so much. Firstly, we arrived on a Sunday afternoon, around 4 PM. We had heard that there's usually a wait but we were able to walk right in and were seated at the bar. We decided to order meatballs (which were delicious) and two slices of each featured pizza they had. Everything was so good! It didn't taste too greasy or heavy. The crust was crispy without being burnt. The service was quick. The servers were very attentive. And the restaurant itself is so cute! I love that it's in the middle of a neighborhood and there's not really a huge sign pointing it out. When we left about an hour later there was a huge line so we definitely chose a good time to go. I give them a 4.4 TLDR version...this might be my favorite pizza in the west coast great flavor, complex and unique but also did the classics perfectly. The crust the dough and the texture of both were well executed. Not greasy and full of flavor! I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Arriving 8:20p with no game plan was rather unnerving. I didn't know anything about QS. Having recently lost my wallet I had no cash or card or ID. Fortunately they take Apple Pay, they also had no seats as all Reservations were booked via Resy, instead they did take to go orders. Btw parking is a bitch but I scored a spot right infront of the store, I over heard people talking about how far they walked cuz they parked far. I ordered the pepperoni, the polish, and the Sicilian and the big noise lager as a palette cleanser. Off the bat you can see the pizzas are unique in makeup and character. The Pepperoni is a stout slice thick has a nice crusty edge to it and even in the dim lighting the colors of the pizza looked vibrant red. The small pepperoni's were cupped with a slight brown and char on the edges. Perfect amount of sauce and cheese allowing for a nice balance. First bite you feel and hear the seriousness of the strong crust game...very crunchy but the dense but soft pillow interior was exactly what my mouth was looking for. The red sauce is zesty not too sweet or acidic just the perfect bold flavor of a well seasoned and tomato sauce. The peps were tiny with a nice crisp finish they can't be ignored as they gave best of the best vibes. This slice gives what if Rome and New York had a love child and Detroit was the godfather. Took a couple more bites and I set her down I take a swig of beer The Polish Riviera is apropos to how it looks...google it and it makes perfect sense. The pizza looks like the wide white sand beaches speckled with the pistachio sauce as trees lining the beach and the tiny olives like the opened umbrellas on the sand. Thinner crust but the same consistency of crunch the center is dense with a nice chew. The first bite was a complete contrast to the pepperoni with a subtle acidity from the lemon, the over vibe was amazing as I felt I was no longer eating pizza with the flavors coming from this pie it gave a main course dish from a fancy restaurant. The potatoes were amazing to bite into loved that starchy flavor and the loved how it went well with the garlic cream and cheese almost like it was a play on garlic mashed. The pistachio pesto sauce knocked my socks off it wasn't overly nutty but it was subtle and allowed for its flavors to incorporate with the other ingredients enhancing each each other. I really liked this one especially cuz I dislike any olives on my pizza and these tiny olives were amazingly chosen to again not pull from the other flavors. They did the Polish Riviera justice with this slice! many bites and many swigs of beer!!! Sicilian Corner...Last but not least in the pizza merry-go-round. A relatively thinner crust but with the same amazing crunch and chew! This one was very delicious in its own right. The red sauce again bold with great balance of sweet and zest. Loved the qs sausage I believe they make this in house as it's flavor profile of fennel, spice, and subtle sweet. Then there's the sneaky roasted sweet notes from peppers. I loved this one so much as the sausage added this meatiness I was looking for in this slice. Lots of new pizza joints in SoCal with lots of hype but Quarter Sheets does not disappoint! I think Detroit-style pizza is the best kind of pizza and they do it so well at Quarter Sheets! The hours are quirky and the wait can get long -- 50 minutes on a Wednesday night ??? We ordered the Red Top, Pepperoni, Turning Leaf, and Tomato Slice, which was perfect for 2. The Red Top is basically the Tomato Slice with cheese underneath and the Pepperoni without the meat and it ended up being my favorite bite of the night because I wasn't a fan of the green chili in the Turning Leaf. The crust is fluffy, doughy, and airy without feeling heavy -- although ironically it's doing a lot of heavy lifting for this pizza -- and you can really tell that they put a lot of love and time into this dough. The tomato sauce complements it well, leaving you yearning for another bite. We finished with the tangy, sweet, and expensive ricotta cheesecake ($15 ???) because they sold out of the princess cake (which FYI it has nuts). We ended up doing our food as takeout and while the pizza wasn't bad per se, it was definitely wasn't a wow experience that I expected from a Michelin spot or bib gourmand recommendation. Very unique pizza compared to all the other pizzas I have tried before, representing more of that Detroit style deep dish pizza! When we first got here, this place was extremely packed despite how it almost feels like a whole in the wall spot. There is no parking for this place so we had to park on the street, which was a bit of a far walk for us. After waiting about 15-20 minutes for our order, we finally dug in and I was pleasantly surprised with the dough! Contrary to many other connoisseurs, I do like thick dough, especially if the dough is sourdough-like! The flavor of each slice was also very good and I never felt like one stuck out much many than another. However, each slice is very expensive and honestly quite difficult to justify its price (each slice being more than $6). I understand the hype now, Quarter Sheets was amazing! Here is my breakdown of the food we ordered. Meatballs: The meatballs appetizer was perfect. The sauce is the type of sauce you just want to keep going back to over and over again. The meatballs come with an incredible garlic cheese bread. Red Top: I wanted to try their pizza in the most pure form, it was perfect. The crust crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The red sauce on the pizza was tangy and has a nice clean tomato taste. Sicilian Corner: This Sicilian corner had pistachio pesto, vodka sauce, and a sesame crust. The combination was very interesting and worked well together. My favorite part of this piece of pizza was the sesame crust. I thought it worked well with the nuttiness of the pistachio pesto. Cake: If you go to Quarter Sheets, you gotta get the cake, it's a non negotiable! We got the Princess Cake, and its one of the best slices I've ever tasted. That thing I said about the place being a vibe? I take it back. Less than a month since our first meal here, we returned tonight with my parents hoping to snag a walk-in for a special occasion. After a decade, it was my parent's last night living in LA. We get to the hostess and are met with icy scowls (I'm not saying she's ageist but she definitely seemed less than thrilled to see two people in their 80s and one kid). We were told we couldn't be seated for over 90 minutes. Not awesome but understandable. That wasn't the issue. The issue was the *way* we were told. The ATTITUDE! The hostility! The "hostess" was aggressively rude, dismissive, and inhospitable. She also treated me like dirt when I asked if my 7 year old could use the restroom before leaving. Rather than wait, we ordered takeout and, again, the hits kept on coming. Our questions were scoffed at and met with eyerolls; any dietary restrictions or requests were refused out of hand. It was such a bummer. But the food was gonna be great, right? It probably would've been... if they'd gotten our order right. Two slices that were ordered and paid for weren't in the box, but one random slice we didn't want was. Normally I would've called to request a refund or driven back to get the right slices, but the whole experience left such a bad taste in our mouths and we were so frustrated, Yelp seemed the best recourse. Finally got to experience Quarter Sheets after several attempts. It's usually busy so recommend getting there right before 5 for short line. Lowkey spot with just a sign that says Pizza out front. You'll know you're at the right place when you see the line. Street parking. We got the Bianca and it was delicious. So fluffy and flavorful. Lives up to the expectation. I learned about this place from my neighbors who raved about the pizza here. One night they had me over for dinner and had picked up a pepperoni pizza from Quarter Sheets. This place's pizza stayed on my mind and I just had to have my very own (2 slices at the neighbors' wasn't enough lol). Let me start off by saying this place has a lot of rules to score a pizza, which I must admit is somewhat of a deterrent. But, you will not regret complying with these rules. Briefly, if you want to pick up a pizza, there are set times for a pick up based on your pre-order. Once pre-orders sell out, you can attempt to do a walk up order but there's no guarantees. If you dine in, ressies aren't the easiest to score. As a side note, if you're picking up, the restaurant does have a standup eating option outside. In order to score my pizza, I had to beg my niece to be the driver. Why you ask? Because parking is also impossible in this area. If you park at the gas station across the street, I was warned not to be there over five minutes or it would be an issue. My pick up time was 830 p.m. and my pizza was not ready before then. As my niece did not want any pizza, which I was ok with because I wanted it all to myself, I ate it as she drove. You have to have this pizza fresh out of the oven. The crispy cheese on the edges and the perfectly flavored dough will make all the trouble you went through to get this pizza worth it. This is not my preferred style of pizza as I'm a thin crust girl but trust, you need this in your life - it's spectacular and will keep you wanting to go back. As a warning, this pizza is not cheap (it only comes with eight slices). Is it worth it? Absolutely! I recommend you order before 5 p.m. if you're ordering on a weekend as the pick up slots fill uo really quickly. Bring a friend so one can drive while the other hops out to get the pizza. The pizza will reheat perfectly in an air fryer. Lastly, get yourself some hot honey because it pairs well. read more

dined in this time and the pizza was some of the best i've had in la again. i also loved trying the appetizers like the beans and meatballs with garlic bread. the desserts all looked really good, i recommend the sticky toffee read more

My favorite pizza in LA!! Was able to make a reservation the previous day right at 5 (opening) so did not have to wait in line (pictured 5 min before opening). Menu isn't too big but the pizza is sooo good! Loved the sesame crust on the Sicilian pizza. Old school pizza place vibes inside. Would probably just order a full pepperoni pizza to go next time. read more
