I came in around 5pm on a Tuesday so it wasn't busy and I was able to get in and out. Food: I got an order of two pibil tostones. I'm not normally a pork person but they were very flavorful. I do wish there were the option to mix and match tostones. The yuca was not available but I was told it'd be back by tomorrow. I also got the empanada with queso fresco and sweet plantains. I have a low sweet tolerance so next time I'll get it without the caramel sauce. The cheese helped counteract the sweetness. For juices, they had lulo, guanabana, and maracuya. It would be great if they could offer tostones as a side and start offering arepas too, which are pretty easy to make. I'll be coming here for the South American food, not the tacos/burritos. Our group was in town for a conference and decided to dine here after a long week. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the worst experience we had during our entire trip to Phoenix. From the moment we walked in, the server greeted us with snide remarks about how we must be "settling" for their restaurant since the one across the street had a long wait. We were taken aback by the hostility, and it only got worse. Two out of the three people at our table were singled out and bullied over their meal choices both of whom have dietary restrictions, including allergies. Instead of showing any understanding or professionalism, the server pressured them to order different dishes, even though they were adamant they were only interested in what they had ordered. Despite our visible discomfort, the rude comments continued, creating a tense and unpleasant environment. People with dietary restrictions deserve to be treated with respect, not mocked or dismissed. We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The service was shockingly inappropriate, and the lack of empathy or basic courtesy was unacceptable. read more

We originally wanted to go to Pizzeria Bianca. Dining with toddlers does not mesh well with a 1.5 hour wait. They directed us to Que Sazon. We were welcomed at Que Sazon and brought to the first room on the left. If you have loudish toddlers, it is not the best setting. It is relatively quiet in there other than the table chatter. Our server was a bit on the sour side. Not very warm. It didn't feel like she wanted us in there with children. Maybe she was having a bad day. Or perhaps I was feeling a bit frazzled with our toddlers. The food made up for it. We ordered the Carne Picante Tacos, Sweet Plaintains, Yucca Fries, Beef Empanada, Pork Empanada, Kids Chicken Quesadilla, Mango Iced Tea, Coffee, Beer, and a Diet Coke. Food and drinks were 5 out of 5 stars. They have a spacious single bathroom towards the back, which was well stocked. Overall, a good experience. I would come back for the tasty food. read more

Be sure to request a ceviche menu, as they don't always provide one upon seating. You don't want to miss out on that. As pleasant as the food was, the service from our particular server that night was not so much. From the moment we were seated she was very standoffish, passive, and not engaging. She didn't check on us for almost our entire meal. We saw different behavior from her at other tables. So I'm not sure if she was having a bad night, or just didn't like us for some reason but it almost soured our experience. The restaurant is nestled in a courtyard of other bars and restaurants. To my knowledge, you will have to park on the street. Inside there are zones (former rooms as this used to be a house). Each zone/room had intimate seating will "candles" on the table. Next time we won't sit in the area where the bathroom is located, but the restaurant wasn't crowded so bathroom traffic wasn't a problem. The chicken empanadas were flavorful with no heat detected. The chicken filling was well seasoned and the outside was drizzled with a chumichurri sauce. We also had chicken tacos. The chicken had a hint of sweetness which makes me believe it was marinated in mojo. The only downside to the taco was the mesclun greens on top as opposed to shredded iceberg lettuce or shredded cabbage. We also had a side order of white rice and black beans; the black beans were not from the can but made fresh. I had to ask the waitress for hot sauce, as it was not offered with the meal. It was a flavorful homemade green hot sauce with a mild heat. Also we had reservations. The hostess was seated outside but didn't acknowledge us as we walked past her, walked upstairs, and entered the restaurant. We walked back outside to ask her if she was the hostess or a customer.
