This is my second time getting taking out from this location. There's lots of seatin available, , but ironically I've yet to see anyone dining in. That said, I guess grabbing a table should be easy. It may even be easy snagging one of parking spots in the back (enter through alley). Otherwise there's street parking (on side streets). The two staff members working when I went were pretty welcoming and polite. One was packing up the takeout orders, which thankfully included mine. I don't know if it's due to what I order or the small quantity, but my food is always ready as soon as I arrive (within 15mins of ordering). The Egg Roll has been consistently good, crispy, and flavorful. No complaints there. This time I decide to try the cream cheese wontons. Very crispy, tasty, but a little low on filling. One major downside is they didn't serve it we that sweet sauce. They gave ample duck sauce packets, but I just ended up using the sweet and sour sauce that I have from Trader Joes. The wings were a disappointment. They're cooked hard, actually too hard. The skin was tight, the meat a bit dry, and the flavor bland. TBH, I think for the future I'll stick with the Egg Roll which can be ordered as two pcs or as one pc (1/2 order).

Que Viet is a quiet little place nestled in Northeast that also makes some of the BEST Vietnamese food in the cities. Like most Asian places (in my experience), it largely depends on what you get, but the beef and potatoes dish here CHANGED MY LIFE. The sauce was incredible, and the crispy potatoes (but not dry as chips!) contrasted perfectly with the tender beef. They do lunch specials, too, but even those portions are huge--highly recommend dining family style if you can! 100% worth a stop if you're in the area.

I've been wanting to try that Vietnamese coffee since I saw the Yelpers enjoyed it last year at the Kickoff to Summer at the Minnesota State Fair. This year, I came prepared with Lactaid and man, that is delicious!! It definitely beats Starbucks! Last year, when I was with my Yelp friends, I had the egg rolls. This time I ordered everything. The egg roll on the stick was my favorite along with the Vietnamese coffee. The cream cheese were OK; I think there is a hint of sugar in it, which is not to my taste. My husband isn't a fan of coffee in general, but he loved the egg roll and cream cheese wantons. The staff were friendly. I was offered fish sauce or sweet and sour, but I didn't need it. I'm also happy at the Kickoff to Summer event, there wasn't a long line as the main state fair event, but the food is served quick.

Egg rolls are almost TOO good. Two of them and I was done. Superb. Ordered Egg Foo Young and it was huge. Couldn't begin to eat it, so home it went. It was pretty heavy but good flavor. Next time will try my favorite. . Chicken Chow Mein! Fast service in a very busy spot!

State Fair eggrolls minus the stick and 100,000 people

On a Saturday night my wife and I decided to try Que Viet knowing they serve the State Fair eggrolls. We arrived and were greeted right away and we did not have to wait for a table. It was a pretty chill atmosphere and it was easy to have a conversation. We ordered eggrolls, beef with pineapple, and a pork noodle salad. Everything came out very quickly, which was a nice surprise. The quickness does make you wonder how fresh everything is. All of the dishes had wonderful flavors. I would say that the sauce on the beef with pineapple was a heavy sauce. It had a great flavor, but the sauce was just a little too heavy and thick. The service was exceptional! Overall, it was a great experience!

Used to drive past this place all the time, and when my partner's grandpa said he drives all the way down here to get Que Viet to this day, we had to give it a try. We order their STATE FAIR SIZED eggs rolls, pork lomein, pho tai, and chicken fried rice. Everything was solid and fresh. The lomein was interesting with angel hair style noodles, not necessarily my preference. The fried rice was fluffy, and the pho was decent. I did end up adding a bunch of sauce packets to enhance the flavor. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

Service once seated was very fast. Though we did need to wait about 30 min on a Saturday night. No reservations available. The wontons and the egg rolls were just as good as the state fair! The Lo mein could use a bit more flavor. Recommend the sweet and sour chicken, great flavor and definitely upgrade to the fried rice. The lychee drink was tasty as well. Good size menu with multiple specials as well.

Despite not having a great parking situation, I really enjoyed my meal here. I tried their famous egg roll at the state fair over the summer, so I already knew going in that was going to be a slam dunk. I haven't had a great bowl of pho in MN but this is probably one of the better ones I've tried. The broth is flavored well and was perfect for a cold and frigid day. Our server was also really helpful and it's just overall a friendly environment with lots of indoor seating. Definitely get the egg rolls if you visit but overall worth the trip for other meal options!

Food is amazing. Especially the hot and spicy chicken and the large egg rolls. I am never disappointed when eating at this restaurant.

The best egg rolls we have ever had! Lomein was also very good! Service was pretty good - everyone was super nice. We did feel a little rushed out which is too bad. The ambiance is quaint and feels very communal. 100% recommend coming here?

So delicious. I was starving and met a friend for lunch. We split an order of their egg rolls and not had pho and special fried rice. My seafood pho was delicious and had a gigantic mussel in it. Service was amazing. Parking can be tricky as it's only street parking but we went during lunch and I didn't have an issue.

Came here to try the "best eggrolls in Minnesota" and they didn't disappoint. They were EXTRA LARGE. (If you're by yourself just order one cause it's more than enough) The flavor profile was good. They're clearly hand rolled and the meat tastes good. The sauce they come with wasn't zesty enough for me personally. But I'm a sauce girly. But they were good. The service was really good too. I also tried the garlic wings and I wasn't a big fan of them but that's probably on me. They were cooked well and a nice large portion but the sauce just was a little bland for me. Overall, a good experience.

Other than their famous egg rolls, their stir fry's and pho are pretty good. Parking is street parking so be prepared to walk a block or two if it's busy. Pho is great I just wish their portion is bigger (compared to other pho places).

We used to go when they were across the street in the small space. To me this is the OG Vietnamese place to recommend when people ask where to get great Vietnamese food. Food is always good and service is great. It has been a long time since I've been here and I'm glad to see they still have a lot of options available, even weekend specials. I had to taste the banh cuon since that is a weekend specials and not easily found in restaurants. It did not disappoint. The nuoc mam was perfect. Filling was good but I wish there were more fresh herbs for garnish. Bun Bo hue was filled with meat and protein!! I can't believe how much was in there. I normally don't like a ton of meat but this was so tender I ate it all. Pho was good. Broth had a strong star anise flavor but I like that. The mi hoanh ton soup was good but not the best. The wontons were huge! I appreciate the amount of protein in it. Cream cheese wontons flavor was good, wish there was more than 4 pieces per order though. Nem nuong serving size was pretty small. Wish we would've ordered the nem nuong spring rolls instead. Bubble tea tasted like strawberry milk, very sweet. Not my favorite but my daughter gave it 10/10. Salmon rice was good, we were able to add eggs for $4. The chili oil is very hot so be careful how much you add. 4% discount if you pay in cash. Gratuity added for parties of 5 or more. Easy to grab to go at the front if you are in a rush. We grabbed more to go after we ate too. The tri color dessert was ok, not my favorite but I liked the sweetness of the coconut milk in there. We grabbed a banh mi that was ready to go and that was good! Bread was crispy, but maybe too much bread ratio to filling. Banh bao was massive too, expensive for $8.

Nem Nuong was underwhelming, a lot smaller than expected. Banh Cuon is a weekend special. They were pretty thick and didn't absorb much of the sauce but had a good balance of filling and toppings. So the beefy broth like a less spicey version of Bun Bo Hue, with flavors of lemongrass and star anise, nicely garnished already with what would have been on a veggie plate.
