Service is an ok. I asked two questions and the server was already agitated. Other Vietnamese tables came later than us but got their food earlier. Worst pho I've had in my life. Soup was flat and the meat on the bone were still very hard. Maybe the bones haven't been cooked long enough by lunch time but that's not how it should be. The wrapper your own spring roll was pretty but tasty just alright. One of the fish sauce was rot fishy so it really wasn't for me.

Quaint restaurant on 4th Street. Menu was simple with many protein options. Service was quick and efficient. For appetizer, we had the Banh Xeo (or Vietnamese crepe) with pork. I love this! It's flavorful and delicious. I could eat this as my entree and be perfectly happy! I wish they gave 4 leaves of lettuce. For dinner, we had: Garlic Noodles with Sea Bass Fillet & Grilled Pork - pretty good. I was hoping the noodles would be more garlicky. Tiger Shrimp Bun (Vermicelli Bowl) - also pretty good. Garlic Noodles with Chicken Pho Overall it was pretty good.

I've stopped by here three times, but this is the first time I got the food and dined in. The first two times I just picked up passionfruit tea to go. Naturally, I was curious to try the foods, so I came after working out. I didn't eat much during the day, so I was hungryyy. Luckily, the foods were up to standard. The house special assorted platter of traditional Viet foods was super tasty, and the beef banh hoi was pretty solid, although I wish the beef had a bit more flavor. It def relied on the fish sauce to carry it. Overall quite good though and glad I finally got to check it out and have the full in person experience.

Cozy restaurant vibe that did not have a very loud ambience. Kind staff as well who checked in frequently. 5/5 - Garlic noodles with chicken. An absolute must order! The chicken was cooked very well. Tender and juicy. Garlic noodles were cooked al dente and perfectly seasoned. The two stars of this dish complement each other well. The pickled veggies paired with the dish also provide a refreshing bite of flavor that contrasts the warmth of the garlic noodles and chicken. I highly recommend trying this dish if you haven't done so! 3/5 - Pho with chicken. The chicken was lackluster in this dish, mainly due to its dryness. The broth alone still tasted very good in terms of savoryness and seasoning. It was a bit of a harder finish for us but I would recommend trying their beef with their pho.

The location of Que Viet is very convenient and the restaurant has lots of seating. Great and attentive service as well! I may have gotten the wrong item as the chicken pho was lackluster for me. The soup was very flavorful, but the noodles themselves were a tad overcooked and broke apart, making the dish difficult to eat with chopsticks. I would come again and try their beef pho instead.

One of the few places in SF that have Banh Hoi on their menu so friend and I decided on Que Viet. We came by on a weekday dinner around 5:30pm and it was pretty empty but felt cozy and peaceful with the calm Viet music playing in the background. Service was quick We got the woven vermicelli as well as the appetizer sampler. Appetizer sampler came with 2 of each item which was perfect for us to share and split. None of the apps stood out significantly but at least the Banh Hoi satisfied our craving. The beef wrapped within the leaves were flavorful and juicy, pairing with vermicelli, lettuce and herbs helped balance out the flavors. We loved that everything was fresh and portion was decent for the price! Throughout our meal there was a fly that kept staying around our food though so that was a little annoying.

I like this place. The ambiance is homey and cozy, friendly and food were delicious. It's a Viet Chinese owned restaurant and the menu is pretty large. I've had the "Banh Hoi" Woven Vermicelli. With pork sausage & grilled pork. And Ribeye Pho. The pho was decent, it was dark broth on the sweet side with taste of star anise and cinnamon. Ribeye were fresh and served on the side so it's entirely up to you whether you prefer to dip the rare ribeye on sriracha and hoisin separately (like me) or you like to mix and add the meat to the broth or maybe just swish swish (the sound and action of rapidly cooking the meat in the pot for 10-30 seconds before dipping it into savory sauces). However I highly recommend their woven vermicelli dishes. It's fun, you make your own wraps with the rice paper, dip in water, add meats vegetables and sauce and roll. Very fresh and fun. It' s a good neighborhood restaurant that serves Vietnamese comfort food at affordable prices.

Great Vietnamese dishes! I would recommend the garlic noodles, banh hoi, and imperial rolls. The soups were okay (a little too salty). Service was quick and efficient. Chill place to catch up with friends!

Super quick and service is very attentive, and affordable sit down right off the MUNI coming from downtown SF! Stumbled upon this place on a night out; parking is relatively easy on a Sunday with the streets being mostly clear. Que Viet offers your typical vermicelli bowls, pho, and even bun Bo hue (spicey noodle soup but please dont go here for that!) Restaurant space is very clean and well kept with some peaceful Vietnamese music strumming in the background. On to the foodie review! Grilled Pork Garlic Noodles Super filling portions coupled with a side of pho broth to pallete cleanse! Asian garlic noodles aren't your typical beat around the bush noods!! Full of umami, sweet, buttery and more-than-5 cloves of garlic goodness! Bun Bo Hue (not pictured) My friend ordered this and I got a sample of it!.... It's a short cut spicey pho broth. A true bun Bo hue has a subtle lemon grass sweetness paired with rock sugar as a base. Great dish if it was labeled as a spicey pho instead. Imperial rolls Deep fried to perfection I just wished it was worth its price point! ($12 for 3 full rolls) unfortunately they were out of pork for our visit so we had to opt for chicken and it was still as flavorful.

Woven Vermicelli with beef in betel leaves and shrimp / Banh Hoi Bo La Lot
    Catlynn N.

TLDR authentic viet food in SF Not a lot of places have first of all banh hoi which is this woven vermicelli and on top of that bo la lot which is beef wrapped in betel leaves. They even served mam tom (shrimp paste) sauce that was designed to be less strong and easily palatable. Typically the mam tom is too strong for most people. It was served with banh trang (rice paper) so we can roll it and it was amazing. The ambiance is quaint and prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of effort this dish takes. Would definitely go here again to get this same exact dish.

I came across Que Viet while exploring the city on a chilly day, perfect pho weather. The restaurant is cute, cozy, and filled with natural light from all the windows. On my first visit, I ordered the spring rolls with shrimp and the chicken pho. I love how they use the thicker noodles, and the chicken broth was very flavorful. I went back again to try the beef tartare and the shrimp pho. The broth isn't really like traditional pho, but it's still very tasty. My only complaint is that both times the herb and green onion portions were a bit skimpy, and I had to ask for extra. Overall, I would definitely eat here again

I visited on a Monday afternoon when looking for a late lunch option in the city - no lot, surrounding street parking only. I ordered the Beef Pho and my boyfriend ordered the Short Rib Pho -- we were pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes, they were huge !! Only complaints were the price (~$20 each) and the fact that the short rib was a bit tough and was hard to get off the bone. Otherwise, the broth flavor was good and the amount of meat and noodles were very generous. This definitely satisfied the pho craving that I had, but not sure if it's somewhere I'd visit again as it didn't stand out. It is a solid choice if you're in the area and craving pho though!

Lunch special mini beef pho (comes with 2 pc imperial rolls) the broth here is SO good!
