Whoa whoa whoa, how have I not reviewed Queen Marys aka Lavender Spa. I have been hopping in and out of this salon for YEARS! Let's say almost a decade! Now, they are moving to the storefront right next to where they are originally located and it's going to be soooo very nice. Yes, I've been going here for a very long time. Over the years they have become even more popular. So sometimes they are VERY crowded and it seems like you're rushed, but I do appreciate the amount of staff they have and their skill set. Let's talk about colors. They have TONS! It's almost overwhelming. But the colors are all great and you can pretty much find whatever you looking for. Nail art? They have you covered. I did Batman nails for Halloween, I needed done in a pinch, and they had the bat stickers ready to go!! They are a bit on the pricier side. Not so much the base cost for a manicure, but if you're looking to reshape your nails, or for a lot of nail artwork, you will definitely be charged extra. But I rather pay here then going somewhere I haven't tried for something I am specifically looking for. I have yet to find that anywhere else, so I will continue to drop in here occasionally. My nails have never ever looked so good and I am super picky to boot! Vivian is so friendly and welcoming :) I use and highly recommend BARRY. He is truly talented and a perfectionist. I get UV gel. My nails last 3-4 weeks! The salon is clean and the selection of color is insane! Yes it it busy because they do an amazing job. I visited on a Tuesday where I got acrylics with gel polish and a design and paid $100. By Sunday two nails had popped off. I went back to ask them to replace the two that had broken. The employee who replaced them was extremely rude saying "SHIT" when he couldn't get the design correct and when I told him it was the wrong shade of blue he ignored me. read more

He has been doing good my nails for at least 8 years. They really do a beautiful job but the Reason I am posting about this salon is the unbelievable precautions they have set up to keep everyone safe. Everyone is really unfriendly. They charge you $5 every time just to keep the shape of your nail. I've had 3 different nail techs cut my skin while filing my nails because they are so rough to the point it bled. and the last lady didn't even apologize. When they're done they get up and walk away and you're left sitting there until someone comes back to put the cuticle oil on you and clean your hands so you can pay. Wont come back again read more

Probably the worst nail experience I've had and I've been getting my nails done for years in NY and NJ. Queen Mary Nails aka Ronkonkoma Nail Spa looks great from the outside and pictures, but there are no prices ANYWHERE. The rebranding of the salon means no TRUE recent reviews are on google. I was not informed of how much I would be paying until I was finished. I paid $155 WITHOUT TIP, for a fill-in with a simple marble tip design on all nails (Which was done in a super SUPER thick layer, I wouldnt be suprised if they chip or the nails come off in the next week). BUT $155!!??? I live in NYC and I don't even pay that much in ktown. I don't know where this number came from or why it was so high, I did not accept a massage, didn't have any broken nails or missing nails, no special treatment, no 3D designs or charms. Seems to me like a random number was made up to charge me for my nails and Vivian was more concerned about her instagram posts . I will absolutely never come back here again. read more

Walked in on a Saturday afternoon with my mom we were quickly seated however the service was horrible. They didnt remove the cuticles, under the nails dirt. Yang kept getting up when doing my moms manicure, it delayed us 20 mins behind. When I made a comment she switched herself out with another person nqme Bao Bao. Horrible service, avoid here at all costs. I got a pedicure and the girl Sophia did a very quick job with the scrub and lotion and the color was a sloppy job. Went for a pedicure last week . Was very scary and not happy . Gentlemen doing my pedi cut me between the toes with toe clipper ., Had trouble getting bleeding to stop . Then filed my nails crooked . Barely an apology and charged me and full price for the service anyway. Think they are having problems getting enough qualified employees to work there . But they should be more careful who they hire. don't just staff to make money read more

Not only did the guy who did my nail's refused to clean my nails properly and missed a piece of my nail when painting, I was in pain after getting a pedicure and I couldn't walk. I later found out that he cut my nails wrong and both nails on me feet were not cut properly which lead to infections. DOTN recommend going here. This was my first time here and it was packed. Almost too much to chose from when it came to choosing colors I went in knowing what I already wanted so it was not as bad. I was told to either make an appointment with Alex and or Annie. Either were not available so I just made an appointment and had gotten Heidi. Everyone was friendly and they had finished me in time for me to go to work. I asked to have pink chrome done on my 4th finger. And was very pleased by the results. Unfortunately, the next day the tip of the chrome had seemed to rub off. I called immediately and they were ok with me coming back to have it fixed. Thank god. Because they had charged an extra $10 dollars just for the chrome. Alex had repaired my chrome and I'm happy again. They have great customer service and will be back again!!! ^_^ read more

Writing this review after my first visit. I LOVED IT! I made an appointment, and was actually seated right after picking my color. Now I hope this is always the case, because five stars can't be given when you have to wait 30 mins despite making an appointment. They had about 15 workers there, and the place was packed. I got my acrylic full set done by James. It's $45 for a full set with gel + $5 for coffin shape. I'm quite impressed with the quality so far, so I don't mind paying this. He did a great job on shaping and paint job. One thing I really loved is that I asked for a specific gel color (OPI Bubble Bath), and James was able to get exactly that. Most other salons would just try to find a color similar to that. Overall, all of the employees were welcoming, and you didn't get that vibe that they are talking sh*t about you like a lot of other salons LOL. Highly recommend, but do make an appointment! UPDATE: writing this after my 2nd visit. It's crazy that what I wrote about in the first review is exactly what happened the 2nd visit LOL. Made an appt, but had to wait 20-30 minutes, which is why I had to knock one star off. This time, Cindy did my fill-in, and although she did a great job, I was not a fan of her attitude. One of my nails had broken so she tried to get the remaining acrylic off by literally jabbing a sharp mini knife under it and I had to yank my hand away. That nail is still throbbing. I've been here numerous times and until recently they weren't bad but lately they seem to have lost their pride in workmanship. This is the 3rd time I got designs that they charge A LOT for but within days they chip. The powder gel is so thick it pops off after less than 2 weeks. I've tried reaching out to them but they dont reply. This most recent time the girl doing my nails, sunny, could barely keep her eyes open. She kept saying how tired she was. But she refused to allow someone else to do my nails. Needless to say, I spent $65 on nails with designs only to have them chipping after one day. I would definitely not recommend going here. Long story short, very rushed experience, changed pedicurists mid pedicure and used the wrong color on my nail (maybe my fault, because I was paying more attention to my daughter than my manicure). LOVE! I think this will be my new favorite after only my first visit! Was quite clean despite being very busy. We made appointments thankfully so i was seated as soon as i got there. They had a very large color selection which was amazing. All the employees are very welcoming & friendly. I had an acrylic gel fill in with Helen. It ended up being $35 for the fill in + $10 for the design. She worked very fast and shaped my nails just the way i wanted them which was a very sharp coffin. The only thing i wish was that it was a bit cheaper for the design. It took her a minute to do it and i still ended up paying $10 for designs on two nails. At the end of my service, they asked if they could take a picture of my nails for their instagram which i found very cute. I am always satisfied with the quality of work when I get a manicure. I love getting a spa pedicure it comes with a 15 minute foot massage and its always enjoyable. They are very busy especially on weekends so sometimes you wait even with an appointment. Also if you have a concern the owner will walk away from you like she doesn't hear you. I'm really surprised at the negative reviews on here. I've been coming here regularly for the last two years, and so do my co-workers, and I've never heard a complaint. The staff is very friendly, professional, and attentive. The place is super clean, which to me is very important for a nail salon. Yes it does get really busy and the wait might be long at times, but that is up to you if you want to wait. If you make an appointment, you shouldn't have an issue. I usually make an appointment or I just try to avoid the more busy hours and I never had a problem. I come here at least once a month for a regular manicure and pedicure, sometimes gel manicure. 99% of the time I am very happy with my nails, but even if there is something I'm not content with they will fix it or re-do it. Every nail tech I've had was quiet, polite, and did their job just fine. read more

I've never taken the time to write a negative review, but this one needed to be done. I tried this place since it was close to my work and they did gel over acrylic. The job itself was rushed and 2 different people worked on me. It's holiday time so I understand they are busy and I was happy to be fit in. 2 days after the gel started to peel on my thumb. If you've ever had this, you know that it only a matter of time until the whole sheet of gel peels off. I went back a few days later on my lunch break to see if they could paint this one nail so that I didn't have one non painted nail and the women barley looked at me, and instead said, "you'll have to come back." I told her I was willing to wait until a tech had a free moment, even though it was quiet and no one else was waiting and she said, rather rudely, it would be 2 hours, or come back tomorrow. I couldn't believe it. What kind of customer service is this? It would have taken no more more that 10 minutes to fix, (4 of which would be me just sitting under a UV light). Certainly someone would have spared 5 minutes to fix their shoddy job in the first place. Needless to say I won't be returning. I've never heard of such a thing. read more

The last 2 months she hadn't been there and everything has changed. The lady YANG who has been running the store is so rude and doesn't care about her customers unless she knows you personally. She barley would take my appointment and said to me "Are you coming or not".... that is not how customer should be treated.. Don't EVER go here! RUN AWAY!!!!! This nail salon gave me a fungus in both my fingernail and my toenail which has now spread to my hands and feet... I KNOW FOR A FACT THIS NAIL SALON GAVE MY THIS FUNGUS!!! It was the ONLY salon I had been to in a year... And the finger and toe where this fungus started were the two places the nail tech cut me. I have seen 2 dermatologists one of which told me it was psoriasis. After running tests It was determined that it is a FUNGUS!! I am now forced to be on oral medications to eliminate the fungus in addition to needing liver scans to ensure the medication doesn't effect my liver!!!! I am a makeup artist for a living and cannot begin to express the difficulty this has caused in my profession. I can't touch my clients faces with this fungus all over. It spread rapidly. This has effected my work, my confidence...my normal beauty routine of getting my manicures and pedicures.... But WORST of all.... I AM IN CONSTANT PAIN!!!! Went for a French pedicure and gel French manicure. Place is very busy, which I thought was a good sign, meaning that they must be good to have so much business, but was very disappointed. Pedicure was okay, but was unhappy with the manicure. I would have liked to have one person do my manicure, but here I had 3 different people work on my manicure. They kept being distracted to go off and do other things, such as touching up other people's nails, and would ask someone else to take over. Because of that my nails ended up rough and my cuticles still had skin hanging off. Plus did not have my hands massaged with lotion or nails soaked in water,which is what I have gotten at other salons and thought was pretty typical. Don't think I'll come here again. Rather go someplace that can dedicate time to each customer and not let any fall through the cracks just because they're busy. read more

Love this place! Not sure about the last review, but I have been going here for 3 months now and two of my friends also go here regularly. I always get a gel manicure by Annie and pedicure. My gel lasts for over two weeks. I've been to dozens, and I mean dozens of nail salons in Long Island, NYC, and even Jersey and NC, but this place is by far the best for gel! Staff is welcoming unless you're black. 2 black girls walked in for manicure and pedicure and were told they had to wait 40 minutes. The next white lady who walked in without an appointment was seated within 10 minutes. I know because I set a timer on my phone as I was getting my nails done in hopes to justify what I had just witnessed. The only difference between these 3 ladies was skin color. I WILL NEVER COME BACK. Their work as a nail place is good but I will not support a racist business. Speaking to the manager as I have in prior years isn't working. I love how many color/design options they have... but I HATE HOW RUDE THE STAFF IS and the lack of workmanship!! I've been there several times, leave and then come back but after this last bought of attempts I'm officially over them!! They do 1/2 ass pedicures/ manicures with bare minimum pride in there work leaving the bottoms of your feet feeling worse then you came in, nails that are uneven AND cuticles that look like the ends of a chewed up celery stick-frayed and mangled ! When you do gel the first time is excellent and then it's down hill even if u get the same tech!! 80$ later with dip gel that last 9days and crusty feet from a 1/2 ass "spa" pedicure is not worth all the beautiful colors options they offer!! read more

I love this place. They always do a great job, especially with gel manicures and the polish always lasts at least two weeks, sometimes longer. The only downfall is that you sometimes have to wait for a long time to be seen (I've personally waited 30 minutes before) even if you have an appointment...but hey, they're busy for a reason!
