Did an online order, came to pick up and checked in for curb side, the lady comes out to tell me they don't have an order for me, then sends the manager out he goes in to look for it comes back and tells me he cannot find anything. During this time not once did anyone offer to take my order again and take payment. Drive all the there just turn back and go home. Staff seemed friendly, but that is where it ended. COLD! Our food was COLD. Very disappointing as I have eaten at other R&R BBQs. Fatty meat. The sweet potato fries are reconstituted from mashed and not fresh. The roll was nothing more than something pulled from a bag. Very disappointed. In Salt Lake City for a soccer tournament- swung by here for a quick BBQ fix and was pleasantly surprised. Ordering was similar to a fast food joint and the food comes out in a timely manner. Brisket was good, pork ribs great, wife liked the chicken.... sides were OK. Fries were limp. Portion on meat was skimpy. Two pork ribs and two slices of brisket for the two meat combo... I guess that is better than one rib and a slice but.... ya. Overall- would go back when we come back to town..... but next time I would just understand that there isn't much meat in the two meat combo. Solid 4 stars as it was really good. read more

Very disappointed with the service! Cashier kept taking phone calls while we waited to place our order. We were there 1st, so take our order 1st. Waited 18 minutes to get our food. Ordered the fries "well done/crispy" but received regular fries. When I asked if the fires were well done (they obviously were not) I was told "they just came out of the fryer". I didn't ask if they were hot or fresh. I wanted crispy fries. The place was not busy (perhaps to go orders?)--only 3 occupied tables when we arrived & 2 other parties arrived while we were there. I like r&r and have no problem with their food. It's just ridiculous when you're trying to call in an order and no one bothers to answer the phone. Called one of the others (pleasant grove) that did answer, but was out of everything I wanted at 7 pm on a Monday night, right before Christmas. I've managed restaurants before and that should never happen. It's called poor planning, and managers who underestimate the need. The point is to have enough people scheduled especially during the holidays to be prepared for the masses. Take this feedback for what it is and apply it. The place is brand new building, with a wonderful outdoor patio. I have been to the other ones and they are good. This one however the ribs were a bit dry. The brisket was good and juicy, potato salad good and also good hush puppies. Its new and by the house I'm sure we'll go again. But for me it was just okay as far as BBQ goes. read more

I go to the Farmington location all the time during work hours, and we went tonight to the midvale location with the whole family. I was extremely disappointed in my brisket nachos, I think who ever was preparing my nachos used only the trimmings from the brisket as they were 80% fat and barely had any meat. Other members of my family got brisket and they got good cuts with minimal fat. Clearly something different than what my nachos got. Horrible. I'm so disappointed in this location. I placed an order over the phone hours before pickup. The person said I can pay when I pick up. She said I'd have to come in at 7. I came in around 6:40 pm and they said my order wasn't ready. I waited til 7 in the front. They then said they were getting it ready. At 7:10, they tell me they don't have the 2 racks of ribs I want and that I can order brisket or chicken. I hate to see what was once a great restaurant go so far downhill. I tried to order combo plates with ribs but I was told that was no longer an option in the choice of meats. They could sell me single rib for 2.49 or a half rack meal for 16.99 which was to come with a side and hush puppies or role. The additional meal seemed the better option as I needed an extra side anyway. What I received was horrible! 6 very dry ribs and no side!! The coleslaw had been left out of the meal. It gets worse. The brisket slices in our other meals, which are up charged at 2.50 a serving, were dry and extremely salty. The brisket was almost in-eatable! After spending almost 75.00 for dinner my entire family was very disappointed. We won't be back. I will spend my money in a restaurant that cares about their customers!!!! read more

Terrible experiences at the West Jordan R&R location lately. The past three times I have gone they have already sold out of various items such as ribs, baked potatoes, and brisket. Yesterday I tried to order on line and the system would not process the order so I called in an order for a half rack of ribs. (I ordered around 5:15 because they always seem to sell out of those very early) Pick up my order and I'm missing my roll as well as receiving the incorrect side. this bbq is amazing! such good brisket and pulled pork. the mashed potatoes are also to die for. the staff was friendly but after looking at my order in the car, they had forgotten a whole pulled pork side and a side of ranch... they were apologetic and nice when i walked back in and asked about it. at the same time, another customer who had picked up right before me was walking in and asked for their side of coleslaw they missed. it did not seem very busy, i'd be worried if it was...your line cooks need to pay attention to the ticket! this would be a 4 star review, but then i got home and realized i was missing a roll too! food was too good to leave a worse review but do better! read more

As Texas Expats, we were perfectly delighted when R&R Barbecue open their first small restaurant in downtown Salt Lake City. Finally, juicy smoked Texas-style brisket now available in Utah!!! However, since the corporate take over the quality has gone downhill substantially. Over the past few months we have ordered sliced brisket takeout at two of their newer satellite locations in the Salt Lake Valley. On each occasion the brisket has been dry to the point of being leather-like. Shame on the founding R&R brothers and the new corporate entity on letting such a fine restaurant menu slide down to mediocrity so quickly. read more

This location is much better than their downtown location which is kind of a dive. The food is really good and the baked beans are great! My only complaint is the price. I think it is overly expensive for what you actually get. The amount of food you get is ok, but come on $12-$15 bucks?? I think Goodwood's in Sandy is just as good and less expensive. I was really excited to try R&R since moving from Georgia, I have craved some good ole BBQ. The outside and the inside looks amazing and the smell walking in the door made me excited for some good barbecue. However my excitement did not last long. I ordered a two meat plate with the chicken and brisket and got Mac and cheese and potato salad. once I received my basket I was slightly horrified at the chopped very fatty brisket. Now don't get me wrong, I understand brisket is not the leanest of cuts, but this was just disappointing. Let's not mention that sad Mac and cheese......I didn't want to be rude when the gentleman handed it to me, but I'm sure my face said it all.The chicken was amazing and I ate everybit of it same with the potato salad! Delish! The soda machine was not working and the "sweet" tea was anything but. Needless to say, my experience left much to be desired. Who knows, maybe I just went on a bad day. I recently went to the R&R BBQ on S Bingham Junction Blvd on March 26. I have been to this location 2 previous times and also had issues however I was hoping the 3rd time would be the charm since it was during the COVID-19 breakout and they were doing curbside service. Boy was I wrong! I placed my order for a 3 meat brisket plate and my spouse got a 1 meat sausage plate. We get our food and return home. Upon getting home, the order was completely incorrect. There were maybe two slices of brisket, not 3 orders which is an additional $5 for the brisket alone. The entire box was filled with sausages. My spouse went back to the store to get the order replaced; however, they were closed and said to come back the next day so we can make things right. They told us to keep the food, but we didn't want that many sausages and the food was now cold, so we threw it away. We return to the store the next day to speak to a manager about getting a refund to which the manager stated they will give us a $20 gift card for our troubles. I informed the manager that I do not want a gift card because this was their third chance already to get an order correct and I no longer want to eat their food. The manager stated that is all he is willing to do and I stated I will process a chargeback with my credit card company. The manager said, "If you feel so inclined to do so, you can." My questions are; why, after a customer saying they've had issues 2 other times and now this being the third would they offer a $20 gift card for a $45 order? Why wouldn't the manager just refund the order? Why did the manager show no remorse or even try to retain us as a customer? My advice is to avoid this location because your order is bound to be incorrect and when it is the manager will do absolutely nothing to correct anything. read more
