This was our first time here, as it was recommended by a host at a winery. We were not disappointed! The place was packed, so with no reservations (for lunch) we sat at the bar. The service was great and we were impressed with how fast the food came out. Everything was tasty, and we especially enjoyed their special seasoning. Only wish they would sell that! read more

I don't normally write Yelp reviews, but R+D Kitchen compelled me to share my experience. The food quality, service, ambiance, and attention to detail were all superb. My daughter and I ordered the Tuna and Mango Roll, the Rainbow Roll, and the Honor Burger cooked medium-rare--everything was excellent. At first, I wasn't sure an American food would have well made sushi and didn't have much expectations for anything really. On my way to the bathroom I saw how the chefs were busy preparing food and noticed sushi chefs preparing sushi's through the glass immediately changed my mind. I knew it would be worth trying. From the outskirts, it was hard to tell what to expect, but once inside, the experience exceeded all expectations. Right in front of the entrance there is a koi pond with many healthy looking Koi. I will definitely come back here when I am in this part of town. read more

Great meeting place at the North side of Yountville. It has outdoor and indoor seating. I have been here a number of times always very good. They have a great wine list and good food. The pricing is Napa Valley standard which is more expensive than other areas but it is a worthwhile stop in the area. I had the Newporter Salad it was pretty tasty with chunks of chicken $25. The Ding Crispy Chicken Sandwich $21. The Pan Asian Salad w/ pork $30, w/ chicken $24. Granted the service is good, ambiance nice ( with booths). It is a little pricey - granted it is located in Yountville . We all ordered drinks and had a great time. read more

Prime location that's going to waste! Read the last few reviews of this place and you'll notice that service and staff are consistently commented on for being subpar and confrontational. The patio is almost always empty and seems like they'd rather keep it that way. The food is probably best characterized as mediocre (think upscale Chili's) but definitely not something you go to Yountville for. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any of the other restaurants down the street for better service, food and vibes! read more

This review will be short, sweet, and to the point! By the time we arrived, let's just say all the wine was hitting me lol. From what I can remember, the service was great and they were able to accommodate our entire party at the bar. The food came quickly but the quality was not skimped. Safe to say we devoured our entire meals and still thought it was okay to order a cocktail. I know what you're thinking, how do I know it's good if I wasn't sober. Fear not yall, we had a DD and he vouched that everything was delicious! Can't wait to be back and try it with a few LESS tastings under my belt. read more

I bought a California burger to go and wanted to sit down and enjoy a few bites since it was a pleasant day. However, when I asked an employee if I could eat my burger on their lawn chairs, they informed me that I couldn't. I found this unacceptable, especially since it was a nice day and I simply wanted to savor my burger before continuing with my day. For a restaurant that doesn't charge for parking, I would expect to be treated fairly and allowed to enjoy my meal in a comfortable setting. read more

We stopped by RD Kitchen for lunch while in Napa and enjoyed it. I ordered the sashimi kale salad which was refreshing, light, and flavorful. The fish was fresh, and the kale had a nice balance with the dressing, making it feel both healthy and satisfying. It was busy when we went so we opted for bar seating. My mouth is watering just thinking back to the sandwich I had for lunch... So, on Friday 12-6-2024, my girlfriend and I joined friends for a gorgeous day of lunch in the beautiful area of Yountville. We all ordered sandwiches, but because I am a vegetarian and didn't try their food, I will only speak to what I had. I ordered the Veggie Club, and it was soooooooooooo good. Mouth watering. Perfection. It tasted as amazing as the presentation on the plate. You know that saying that we start craving our food just with are eyes? Yes, in this instance, that was true. I also ordered a side of the creamy polenta (which was also delicious) but.... I must say... I will drive up from Sacramento, Napa, and all points in between JUST to have another bite of the delicious veggie club on their menu. That is how great it is. Highly recommend. Easy parking in the lot. Without reservations we could sit outside or at the bar or wait 30 minutes for a table. We chose the bar where service was functional and efficient. About 35 bucks for a salad and tea‍. read more

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. While the food was decent and the staff overall was friendly, the general manager completely ruined the experience. His attitude was rude, dismissive, and frankly, unprofessional. It's hard to understand how someone with such arrogance and a poor approach to customer service is in a leadership position. His behavior overshadowed the efforts of the rest of the team and left a lasting negative impression. Leadership matters -- and in this case, it seriously brought down what could have been a much better experience. read more

Either here or Retherford grill you can't go wrong with the food and service. Tried the smoked trout dip which was great. Added some green Tabasco sauce they provided and it made It even better. Saw that they had curry on the menu which looked new. It was tasty and filling. No complaints whatsoever. As always, the food was good and the service was top notch. read more

Summary: Overall an average American restaurant My family had a reservation with a party of 9, but they didn't have any tables that could fit all of us so we were split up. First dish was the guacamole + queso. I was surprised that the queso dish wasn't hot, but a cold take. Surprisingly very good. I rate it a 8.5/10 Guacamole was average and could've used more flavor like jalapeño, red onion, or tomatoes. 6.5/10 Next was the tuna tartare. I was pretty underwhelmed by the flavors are textures. The tuna was kinda fishy and didn't taste like much. I thought the bread could've been more crisp to contrast the soft tuna and avocado. Rate this a 6/10. Last, we ordered the Ding's Fried Chicken Sandwich. Tbh, this tasted like your average chicken sandwich. Everything tasted good, but this dish was definitely not memorable. 7/10 read more

sat outside on the patio but the inside was so charming and lovely too (I love the combination of the wood + the windows where you can see greenery outside!) As huge Hillstone fans had to try another location. As usual service was attentive and fast. Was slightly bummed to hear they don't have high chairs but we made it work! Martini was icy and delicious, packed a punch. The dip duo made up for no spinach dip, though I'd say it was less queso and more of a cheese ball. The ribs were so good and the sauce was delicious. Restaurant is always busy, so we sat at the bar outside- it was about 60° so that was fine- full menu served at the bar (but only apps at the Adirondack chairs/tables). The patio is the best place to sit anyway bc it's casual and hip, there are heaters and COI FISH!! This food is so lip smacking good no matter what you order!! My stomach knows it can't hold all the things my eyes want but I have to taste them all! We've come here many times before, so had to try some different things this time: chips w/ jalapeño queso & guac, the Newporter salad and the burger. So good. The jalapeño queso has chunks of cheese throughout- it's almost like a cheese ball not like melty nacho cheese.... You'll scoop gobs onto those homemade, hot, salty chips. The guac has just the right amount of lime; also there's hidden corn for texture. The burger comes on their homemade buns- cooked to perfection with slaw and fixings... to die for. We ordered fries, and need up getting two cups, served with special sauce and ketchup. Mmmm Salad- so full of chicken we couldn't finish it! Sweet raisins and apples, salty cashews. Mm mm mm!! I decided to try this spot since it's one of the well-known restaurants in Yountville. Even without reservations, the host was kind enough to seat me and my guest, which I appreciated. We ordered the deviled eggs, California roll, Honor burger, and filet mignon. Everything was nicely presented and portioned well. The ambiance was pleasant, not too loud, so we were able to actually enjoy a conversation. As expected for Napa Valley, the prices were on the higher side. While everything tasted good, I have had more flavorful versions of these dishes elsewhere, and for a lower price. That said, the service was attentive and overall it was a nice dining experience. read more

This review is mainly for the delicious food and the service we had today. We got the dip duo, nuevo cubano, the honor burger, and the ice cream sundae with hot fudge, whipped cream and walnuts. We got here on a Saturday afternoon at 1:06 PM and placed our name on the waitlist by leaving our name and phone number. We were told the ETA was 2:15 PM, and we did get in by 2:15 PM. Initial impressions were positive. Parking was not the absolute best and is limited, but by 2 PM parking started to open up. The restaurant has a beautiful koi pond out at front and plenty of seating outside for the restaurant or if you wanted to enjoy your alcoholic beverage with the scenery. However, there was no alcohol for us today. Despite that, I mean it when I say the food is phenomenal and it was all we need. Ordering was quick, we were greeted by a gentleman in a light-colored dress shirt and he helped us place our order. The dip duo came first and then our two burgers. The dip duo was outstandingly delicious-- I fought for the jalapeño cheese dip today on the plate. I was extremely impressed by the flavors of the nuevo cubano. The bread has that buttery airiness, the meats were densely packed that you'd think you ordered from a deli or sandwich place, but the whole sandwich was light and filling (I have no idea how they accomplished that). The honor burger was very juicy and flavorful and kept itself together for the most part. Burger was nicely made medium well and the coleslaw was mouthwatering. But the service was very nice, too. Specifically, Raquel, our server, was so sweet, very accommodating and she even asked if we'd like more chips for our dip. She made sure to keep the table clutter free, checked in on us as frequently as she could, and made lunchtime a breeze. We noticed some of the staff seemed not too friendly as we were trying to ask a question, but Raquel and another gentleman, he was tall with glasses who helped answer a question for us, were great! Great place to try if you're in the area for a vacation like us. read more

We were excited to visit based on the restaurant's reputation, but the experience fell well short of expectations. The number of house rules--particularly around patio seating, party size, and ordering--made the atmosphere feel unnecessarily restrictive and took away from what should have been a relaxed Napa dining experience for a birthday celebration. Unfortunately, the cocktails were also underwhelming and lacked the quality we'd expect at this price point. The staff was courteous, but between the rigid policies and disappointing drinks, I'm not sure we'd choose to return. Completely understand if it was packed, but the place was near empty and there certainly could have been flexibility. read more

Service here could be better among other things. To start off- 1. We came in around 8 for dinner and were only offered the bar or outside seating- with no option to put our name on the list for the main dinning room. We opted for the bar. 2. The drink menu does not sound appealing. When asked to recommend a smoother wine, we were told that that was not an option, that all the wines were red and very dry and bitter. 3. The food menu is all over the place- nothing sounded good. You have pasta, sushi, omelets? I was having a hard time deciding on what to eat due to the menu being all over the place and the thought of mixing all those cuisines grossed me out. My friend ordered the tuna tartare and it was warm.. kinda concerning considering it's raw seafood. We are visiting out of town so will never be back. I would've opted to try something else around the area if it was up to me. read more

Its kinda gave cheesecake factory in atherton vibes here. Love the dog friendly patio available overlooking the parking lot, napa scenery and their fish pond and the friendly staff who frequently checked in on us for anything we needed. We ordered the fries, dings chicken sandwich, tuna tartare and the burger and they were all pretty solid. read more

From the service to the food, this place was stellar! Our server, Heidi, was on it, saw an empty water glasses, water appeared, running low on chips for the guacamole, she offered more. She knew the menu, so asking about the food, she knew where the salmon is sourced, A+ as most servers haven't a clue & sometimes even the kitchen, but here they know. Made suggestions, always appreciated. Just so nice to see such a GREAT restaurant crew. For appetizers there was an order of the Dip Duo, Fries, & the Thai Tuna Roll for starters; the guacamole was lovely, fries were crispy & the Thai Tuna Roll melted in your mouth - screaming goodness all around. For the mains there was an order of the cedar plank salmon, the little bird & the shrimp & macadamia roll. Everyone plates were cleaned, scrumptious, yummy, it all tasted so good. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert; shall have to return. Plus I really want to try their 'Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes' which they happen to be out of - so we'll be back. Ambiance - very nice, from the seating, tables, the all wood interior. There's outdoor seating as well & had the weather been just a tad warmer we would have sat outside. Another first here. Been to NAPA multiple times but have not tried dining here. Families from Philippines and Ireland were here in Cali for a vacay and definitely Napa is one of their bucketlists. Took the scenic route from San Mateo 1st so we get a glimpse of the area with our tourists. The food were great and i love the ambiance. The staff service were amazing and they always check on you. You can take a walk too, take pictures do a little shopping in their small boutiques after you dine in since the area have nice views and establishments. It was a perfect day when we came since it was not too crowded. I highly recommend it! read more

Lovely spot for lunch before wine tasting. They don't offer a traditional brunch but serve their lunch items on weekend mornings. I like the fusion of Asian food offerings. Good price point for being in Napa / Yountville. Super cute outdoor area for the nice Spring / Summer days. Ample parking lot. Lovely interior that is quite spacious. Very kind servers who helped us choose between dishes. Reservations recommended during busy weekend dinner hours. Enjoyed the mango pasta salad. Fresh and light. The food and ambience of R+D kitchen never disappoints. Always a hip but comfortable modern vibe of an upscale restaurant without too much snootiness. Prices are typical of Napa Valley, but not near as exorbitant as RH Next door. Schramsburg Brut Rose for $16 is a decent deal. Had a nice lunch with my (almost 102 year) Veteran friend John. He approves. I give it 4.5 stars. He's hopeful that you out gazpacho on the menu soon! read more

We were a walk in of four. I was informed by the hostess that the wait for a table would be 45 minutes. We were waiting outside for barely 15 minutes before hostess came by to inform us that indoor seating had a dress code enforcement, and pointing out my friends cap sleeve shirt. Giving the implication it's a cut off sleeveless shirt. We decided we would opt for outdoor seating a few minutes after we were told this information. To which we were told outdoor seating had the same dress code policy. I noticed several women dressed in spaghetti strap tops and pointed this out to hostess. To which they said, "it's our choice how we wish to enforce the dress code." I guess they like skanks/hookers for patrons. So long as you have boobs I guess no dress code enforcement. read more

What I liked about the Spaghetti alla Sophia Loren was the cherry tomatoes as they were sweet not tarty as tomatoes can be. Even though the portion of the Spaghetti alla Sophia Loren was small I wasn't full for my main course. Next was the main entrée the beef short rib. I really enjoyed this dish. The beef short rib was moist, but not too rich that I felt bloated. What also cuts the richness of the short beef rib is the polenta. Out of the two dishes I ordered the short beef rib was tastier. This review is on Addie at the hostess stand for Service- I was there for my birthday Friday, March 31st. I made reservations for lunch inside for 5 people. My cousin had join us last minute and met us at the restaurant. We walked up to the hostess stand and told Addie we had one extra person so now a ttl of 6. She rudely declined said the tables only could sit five there was no room inside and we would have to sit separately. We didn't want to get separated it was my birthday and it was special for me I've been looking forward to it this year. My cousin saw a big round table outside where we all could sit first come first serve basis. We thought its a little a chilly but it's ok. I preferred the inside experience, but it'll have to do. It was not busy at all outside and there was no one sitting on the smaller tables that seated 2/3 ppl each we had the biggest table. We were all just excited to eat. We took two hightop chairs to our table since it was missing 1 there was only 4 chairs not even 5. Our waiter Kyle he was so sweet and asked us what we would like to drink. Addie then, came outside charging at us again she was very rude and declined we could add one extra person to our table. She took the 2 chairs away, now we were down to 4 chairs again not even 5. We were all in shock mouths open. We NEVER got treated that way before most of my guest were first timers which was embarrassing for me. She was VERY unprofessional and treated us poorly. Our sweet waiter from outside Kyle noticed the bar inside just opened up for the 6 of us to sit, but at that point It ruined my birthday lunch experience :( we left and walked over to R&H where it was all of our first times there. It was a totally different experience they made up for it for sure. It was too bad we didn't get to experience Kyle he was so sweet you can tell he felt bad for us and we felt bad for him. I recently dined here with a group of friends, and I must say, the experience left much to be desired. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt less inviting than we had hoped. While the decor was charming, the service was anything but accommodating. Our evening took a turn when one of my friends accidentally tripped over a chair while moving to the table. It was a minor incident, and fortunately, he was unharmed. However, the staff's reaction was perplexing and disappointing. Instead of offering assistance or showing concern, they quickly informed us that they could no longer serve alcohol to our table because of the stumble. This seemed excessive and unwarranted, especially given that it was a simple accident. The refusal to serve drinks not only dampened our spirits but also altered the entire tone of the evening. We had planned to enjoy a nice meal with some wine, and the abrupt policy enforcement felt punitive rather than protective. It was as if they prioritized rules over customer experience, and that left a bad taste in our mouths--pun intended. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE MANAGER named Micah as well as his assistant manager-both people were really rude to customers. As my daughter and I ate dinner there last weekend I noticed right after entering the place that Micah was in a bad mood. He did not smile at all to people entering the restaurant. I witnessed him and his assistant manager asking people who were visiting other tables to leave the isle, even though they were not crowding the isle. People are from all around the United States as well as the world, if you can not say hi to someone you know, that is ridiculous. However, our waitress was very nice and we were pleased with her. It is just sad that people who are in this industry are not happy that customers are visiting their establishment. I do not believe that the customer is always right. There are jerks out there and I/We/They hopefully won't tolerate rude customers. But what happens when the manager staff is rude to the customer? I just don't get it. As we ate dinner, and we purposely took our time, I watched Micah work. I felt like I was an undercover boss. He did not handle stress well at all. In the two hours we were there (like I said, we took our time) Micah was faced with several issues that he did not handle well. Customers were standing up to the way they were being treated by Micah, and Micah couldn't handle it so he yells out his favorite phrase "call the police". Really? They had only been open for 24 hours when we arrived around 7:45 p.m. Sunday night (6-2-13). R + D (stands for "Research & Development") and it definitely had the "wow" effect on me. It's similar in style and character to their sister restaurant 8 miles upvalley in Rutherford, ("The Rutherford Grill,) but it has just a little more flare . . . and . . . SPACE. The outside patio is spacious with a beautiful bronze (or copper) bar. Lots and lots of seating outside but not all have tables for dining. I had the seared tuna ($22) that was accompanied with goat cheese and a salad of mixed greens, beets, heirloom tomatoes, potatoes, fruit (I can't remember which) and a couple of other ingredients I can't remember. It was great, however, I still prefer the seared tuna dish at the Rutherford Grill. My girlfriend had the Waldorf Salad with chicken that I LOVED. I wished I had ordered that instead. She gobbled it up in no time. Unlike the Rutherford Grill that has no corkage charge, R+D has a modest $10 corkage fee. I think their (by-the-glass) wine prices might be a bit more than the Rutherford Grill but it was indeed a nice selection. I chose the Frank Family Zin for $11.00 that hit the spot. I thought this was an interesting side note: they flew in half of their staff from their Santa Monica R+D Restaurant to train the new staff for two to four weeks. A Disappointing Dining Experience If I could give zero stars, I would. Our visit to R+D Kitchen in Yountville was an utter disappointment. We had friends visiting from the UK, and we were excited to show them a great dining experience. Instead, we faced frustration and poor service. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they refused to seat our party of six together, repeatedly citing that management wouldn't allow six people at one table and could only accommodate five. To make matters worse, they insisted we could only sit at tables for three, splitting our group and ruining the experience. Hearing "management won't allow it" from every staff member we spoke to was incredibly frustrating. With so many empty tables, this inflexible and unaccommodating policy made no sense. Instead of making an effort to find a solution, the staff seemed indifferent and unhelpful, making us feel unwelcome. The restaurant's rigid seating rule, especially when the place was nearly dead, turned what should have been an enjoyable meal into a frustrating and unpleasant experience. I would not recommend R+D Kitchen in Yountville to anyone looking for a welcoming and accommodating dining experience. We had the rudest interaction with the restaurant manager while picking up a to go order of food tonight. We picked up food and proceeded to eat it in the patio area, where we already had been sitting and drinking alcohol paid for at that restaurant. The manager Micah proceeded to come over and literally ripped a fork out of the hand of a member of our party and told us we had to leave. We asked why and he said you can't eat that here, you have to go. No one ever explained that while ordering, and there's no sign indicating that you can't eat the to go food from that restaurant on the patio. The patio was empty too with no one there. We would have been happy to eat elsewhere, all they needed to do was have a polite conversation because we simply didn't know. We said how rude he was being and he simply dismissed us. It was the worst customer service I've ever had. While on a luxury vacation in a renound region of the world, you should expect courtesy at the very least and superior customer service. R and D doesn't have it and that manager should be removed. We then proceeded to call the restaurant and they hung up on us. Eating there will ruin your mood and part of your trip, choose better restaurants in the area that actually care about customer service. read more

This is as fresh as it gets... Today: Came in with my husband and my son who is 5 (7/10/2021). We ordered drinks and food as usual but because we had a puppy with us, stayed outside in the courtyard. We ordered pizza for our 5yr old (from another place) prior to our arrival at RD because he wouldn't eat sushi and other food they serve. (Note: not kid friendly, no menu options for children.) When my husband brought the pizza and our son started eating it (outside on a sand), a waiter came by to tell us they do not allow outside food. I mean we ARE OUTSIDE and it's for a 5-yr kid whom you do not have a menu for! Nonetheless, I asked to speak to manager. Manager wasn't on site but instead an assistant chef sous (as she introduced herself) came to us and rudely told us to not eat here and offered to cancel our order. Stunned! Never before I have ever experienced such treatment at this establishment and we are patrons! Sad and disappointed and will not come back again. Worst customer service ever...outrageously rude & unaccommodating we were a party of 6 ppl & wanted to sit outdoors on patio (which was empty) there's a table that will comfortably seat 6 ppl, we were told they would only do a party of 4 ppl & that they don't do tables for 6 ppl anywhere in the restaurant inside or out...wtf? We told them we were their neighbors (also in hospitality industry) from down the street (on Washington in Yountville)...they didn't care, we said we'd take our group elsewhere they said ok didn't want our business, so we walked over to North Block (they were very accommodating) & spent $200+ in an hour & were very happy...once the word spreads you won't see anyone from your neighbor down the street at R&D again...such a sad way to run a business especially in HOSPITALITY industry! read more

Had an amazing experience at R+D Kitchen in Yountville! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was exceptional. Our server, Spencer, was incredibly friendly and attentive--he really made our meal feel special. We started with the Osaka Style Pressed Tuna, which was super fresh and flavorful. For mains, we had Ding's Crispy Fried Chicken (perfectly seasoned and juicy) and the Carolina BBQ Beef Ribs, which were fall-off-the-bone tender and packed with flavor. A standout moment: Spencer let us try their housemade ciabatta bread--and wow. It was literally one of the best pieces of bread I've ever had. Warm, fresh, and with the perfect crust. We arrived 7 minutes late to our reservation, fully understanding that, given the timing, we might need to accept an alternative meal. The manager was behind us and we could hear him advocating on our behalf, as we were genuinely excited to have dinner there and had not been able to eat earlier due to the construction delays on our way. Unfortunately, Paula, and the hostess, were extremely rude and dismissive in their response to the situation. Due to both the lack of flexibility and their unprofessional behavior, we ultimately chose to leave. Overall, had we known about the significant construction affecting the surrounding roads, we would have chosen to dine elsewhere. From the small portions to mediocre plating, the pretentious bar staff, to the nonsensical prices, R+D Kitchen wishes nothing more than for you to regard a trip here as equivalent to nearby establishments. They are trying - with mimicry and arrogant charades - to change an otherwise extremely average dining experience into something it's not. Unfortunately, as one might expect from a restaurant owned by a mega-conglomerate, our visit was irrevocably marred by a lack of care - a certain corporate coldness in our treatment as guests. I visited R+D on Saturday evening and sat on their amazing patio! I was immediately greeted by Holly and guided through my experience. Holly was extremely friendly, hospitable, and knowledgeable. The vibe on the patio was awesome and after a few drinks I moved to a table inside to order off the full menu. My service inside was great and Holly even dropped by to check on me! I enjoyed it so much I went back Sunday for lunch and sat on the patio again! There were several managers walking around making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and everyone seemed to work as cohesive team which led to a seamless and awesome dining experience. My friends and I ordered to-go at this restaurant and decided to enjoy this food in what we thought was a common area. While eating the General Manager Micah decided to aggressively approach our group and begin to remove our items from our area and utensils from our hands (while eating). He was hostile during the entire encounter when a simple conversation was all that was required. I have never experienced such treatment at any establishment. First night of our visit to Napa we dined at this trendy place. Loved the vibe and the ambiance. My hubby started with sushi which he proclaimed some of the best he ever had. He enjoyed the ribs which were fall off the bone. I had to send my meatloaf back as it came out kind of pint but was better when they brought it back to me. This place never disappoints. We actually ran into this place just midday hungry on our way between Napa and Santa Rosa and pulled in for a drink and a snack. It's now our go to every time we pick up our wine shipments. The spicy tuna Osaka style is the best sushi we've ever had. My friend had the pasta with chicken meatballs and it was so yummy. My husband and I both ordered the halibut, and it was fantastic. The portions were generous, the fish was incredibly flavorful, and we both absolutely loved it. Everyone else at our table was also very pleased with their meals. The only unpleasant part of the evening was not really the restaurant's fault. The people seated next to us kept putting their small dogs on the table and allowing them to eat off their plates and lick the table. I have dogs and fully support bringing them along to dog-friendly restaurants, but that felt very unsanitary. I do think someone from the restaurant should have asked them to stop, although I'll give the staff the benefit of the doubt that they may not have seen it. Overall, we had a really great experience and would definitely recommend Napkins. I'd give it a solid 4.5 stars!

Baker brie was insanely delish. It was the best baked Brie I had. Perfectly balanced with the honey and pistachio. The iceberg wedge salad was as you would've expected. Decent sized Maybe we didn't ordered the dishes that they were most popular for so I was disappointed. Will have to come back and try another round. Especially for the drinks.

The bartender was welcoming and friendly, and the bar itself deserves a moment of appreciation: gorgeous stonework, soft embedded lighting, and some of the most comfortable leather bar stools I've ever had the pleasure of lingering in. Once our friends arrived, we were immediately seated in a lovely corner table in a beautiful dining room. Then the real fun began. Every single thing we ordered was exceptional. Cocktails were expertly crafted. The pork belly and watermelon appetizer was one of those dishes that makes everyone at the table stop talking for a moment. The roasted beet salad was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. And then there was the service. Our team, Jose and Zach, struck that perfect balance between polished professionalism and genuine warmth. Our group tends to be a little cheeky, and they were great sports, engaging with us throughout the evening and making the experience feel personal without ever missing a beat. I was dining with three true local Napa folks who had attended various events at Cordeiro's over the years, and it was fun hearing their stories and connections to the place. By the end of the night, all four of us were smiling, already talking about when we'd return. Great food. Great people. Great atmosphere. Cordeiro's isn't trying to be the newest thing in Napa. It's busy being one of the best.

Once greeted, our waiter promised us a "great seat," then somewhat puzzlingly placed us at a table directly beside the front door. With much of the dining room available, it was an odd choice for two people settling in for a business conversation. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with breakfast potatoes, orange juice, and coffee. The juice arrived, followed by the meal, but the coffee apparently decided to sleep in. I eventually had to ask for it. Fortunately, the Benedict was the highlight. The eggs were nicely prepared, the Canadian bacon flavorful, and the English muffin had just the right crispness underneath. The hollandaise was smooth and pleasantly tangy, with a subtle touch of lemon that brightened the entire dish. My only request: be a little more generous with it. A good Benedict deserves enough hollandaise to cascade over the edges of the English muffin and leave a little behind for that final bite, or two, to drag through the sauce. The potatoes had decent seasoning and plenty of flavor, but the texture fell short. They were quite soft, without the crisp, golden exterior that would have taken them from ordinary to memorable. The biggest disappointment, however, was the service. After seating us, our waiter essentially disappeared. There was no check-back after the food arrived, no water or coffee refill, and no inquiry as to whether we needed anything else. At the end of the meal, I had to flag him down for the check and then again to pay it. Attentive service doesn't need to be intrusive, but it does need to be present. Petit Soleil has a lot going for it, and the Benedict demonstrated that the kitchen can deliver. But in Napa, where hospitality is every bit as important as what lands on the plate, good food deserves service to match. On this morning, the Benedict showed up. The hospitality didn't.

I once read in the T.Keller cookbook that it's marinated in the brine for 24 hours. So yum! Mac salad is creamy and has a chipotle flavor to it. Delicious. Coleslaw is tangy and vinegary and pairs well with the fried chicken. The acidity balances out the fried. The shrimp po boy was phenomenal. Juicy, plump shrimp coated in batter which was light and crispy. So incredibly flavorful and plentiful. The bread was perfectly soft on the inside with a slight toast on the outside, with a butter lettuce and mayo sauce. SO good! Can't wait to come back again!

The ordering process is simple--you place your order at one window, pick it up from another, and wait for your name to be called. When we reached the counter, the staff was fine, and we ordered the Three-Piece Fried Chicken, Shrimp Po' Boy, and a side of Coleslaw. We were told the wait would be 30-40 minutes. The waiting experience, however, was extremely frustrating. There is some outdoor seating, but I wish it were reserved for customers only. Many people were using the tables for their own picnics, leaving paying customers with nowhere to sit. A few more umbrellas would also make a huge difference, especially when you're waiting outside for 40+ minutes in the sun. Since we were hungry, we walked over to Burgers & Half Bottles, ordered lunch there, finished eating, and returned to Addendum. By then, about 45 minutes had passed, yet our order still wasn't ready. Around us, many other customers who had ordered at the same time were also still waiting. The pickup area became complete chaos. People crowded around the pickup window because there was no clear system or communication. Even the manager from the main restaurant came over to help, but the process never really improved. Several customers around us ended up cancelling their orders out of frustration. We finally received our food after **1 hour and 5 minutes**, and only because we stood right by the pickup window the entire time to make sure our name wasn't missed. Judging by the conversations around us, we weren't the only ones disappointed by the experience. As for the food, the **Three-Piece Fried Chicken** was definitely the highlight and the reason the restaurant is so well known. The chicken was juicy, crispy, and flavorful. It came with macaroni salad and cornbread, both of which were decent but nothing memorable. The **Shrimp Po' Boy** was underwhelming. The shrimp had a noticeable seafood smell, lacked seasoning, and tasted quite bland. The **coleslaw** was the biggest disappointment--it was overwhelmingly sour, almost like eating straight vinegar, and we ended up throwing it away. Overall, while the fried chicken was excellent, I'm not sure it's worth waiting over an hour in an unorganized system, especially with the limited seating and lack of communication. There are definitely improvements that could make the experience match the reputation.

Each piece of meat has more exposure to the chili and it gives a nice burn. The way this was prepared, it was ok, but really wasn't spicy. We were disappointed in that. Everything else was wonderful. Though the cocktails weren't as amazing as the last time we were here. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating, and even indoors feels spacious. It was a great place to be able to catch up with friends we hadn't seen in a long time. Looks like they can accommodate big groups too.
