Anyways, shout out to my server, she was the absolute sweetest sweetheart. Thank again for the drink recommendations! And now the drinks and food. The prices were reasonable and the quality was impeccable! We got the Shirley temples. I loved the blue raspberry Shirley temple, so sweet, tangy and refreshing. Definitely what I needed on that hot day. I got the sakedon. Now I've had many a sakedon and I can tell you this one's got a great bang for your buck. For the price you get an exceptional amount of salmon and the salmon was quite buttery. Melt in your mouth. That and the escolar along side the hamachi. Worth the visit. I cannot wait to come back.

The food was made to order, hot and delicious. Me: an order of gyozas, spicy garlic, edamame, and the mixed tempura. She: steak teriyaki bento box, with gyozas as her side. We: miso soup, and the salad for starters. Service was good, as we were greeted upon our arrival, seated immediately and Jessie checked on us just enough. Those spicy garlic edamame are definitely for those who like spice, and that steak teriyaki was tender it almost melted in my mouth. The miso soup and salad were just the perfect serving size that I wasn't stuffed before my meal came. Ambience was chill because it wasn't 5 o'clock yet, so I'm almost positive we made it there before the dinner rush. Giving this place a four yumms up and a definite I'll be back !!

We didn't have to ask for refills, she was on top of it! 10/10 service; I loved the interior of the store, nice and spacious. Also love the cat ceramics the wasabi comes in, too cute! Agedashi Tofu: 8/10, I didn't try it but my coworker said it was yummy and it looked AMAZING. I regret not trying it honestly. T-T Orange Sunshine & California Roll: 9/10, good flavor, you can't mess up a california roll, the orange sunshine roll was nice and refreshing :) Dancing Roll & Spicy Scallop Hand roll: 10/10 so good! Everything tasted fresh and the hand roll had a generous amount of scallops! Overall, would definitely come back. Looks like I found my new lunch spot for work ^_^

The takoyaki and the fresh fish dishes were standouts, the quality and value is hard to beat compared to SF prices. We barely got photos in before everything was gone. They also surprised us with a complimentary hojicha panna cotta that was light and not overly sweet. When we mentioned it was my dad's birthday, they stored the cake and brought it out with candles without us even having to ask. Little things like that go a long way. Oh and if your bill hits $100+, you get to pick a piece of jewelry from their collection which is a cute touch. Already looking forward to going back.

The ambience of this place was very warm and inviting and I can see that this restaurant has a very special place in the pleasant hill community from all the pictures they've shared with their customers. It checks out, because everything is so delicious and everyone who works here is so kind. On top of checking on us multiple times to see if everything was fine, they also gave us multiple free appetizers as I'm assuming business was a bit slow and we went near closing. We even asked for extra ginger to go, forgot about it, and one of the workers tried to give it to us still while we were already getting into our car... Their kindness went a long way and I am hopeful this restaurant prospers in lots of business! They more than deserve it!

We got the dinner bentos with 3 items for $36. Portions were huge and with the miso soup, salad and complimentary gyoza, it was a lot of food. One bento is easily 3 meals for me. Food was tasty. BF had beef in his bento that he said was it was a little tough. The tempura was crunchy and tasty-3 pieces of shrimp and various vegetables. One table was celebrating a birthday and they gave them a birthday cake and played the drums for him which was cool. I would definitely come back to try more.

We've been coming here for 4 years now, and they remember us every time. The service here is great. The servers are very friendly and are always on top of general service throughout the course of our visits. The food is also fantastic to say the least. We have never, and I mean never, have had an unpleasant experience eating here. Even if we ordered something we didn't personally like, it wasn't the quality nor the presentation that was to blame for our dislike. The feel of the restaurant is warm and inviting. The same woman always greets us, and as mentioned before, she always recognizes us. The chef almost always gives us an extra roll to try on the house. This is and was never expected, but they go out of their way to do so and we are beyond appreciative of it. The picture attached shows the roll given to us during our most recent visit. We would attach more photos, but we were too busy eating our other rolls to bother taking photos. However, even if they didn't give us a free roll to try from time to time, our regard for this lovely restaurant wouldn't change. I highly recommend Sushi Momoyama to any and every local that is craving tasty sushi and a welcoming atmosphere.

Each time we enter, they always try their best to attend all customers with such a polite manner. We've been coming here for almost 4 years and we never regret our choices. Due to our frequent visits, the staff even remembers us! It truly makes us feel recognized. Regardless, this place is always an amazing recommendation for the best sushi in Concord. If you ever have a chance, please give this place a try. I highly recommend their sushi options but the rest of their food is just as good!

I came across another Yelper's review and decided to try out Okini Sushi, in Pleasant Hill. It's a few miles off the 680 freeway, located in a scenic neighborhood. I ordered a delicious crab meat salad topped with avocados and I ordered off of the Happy Hour menu, with an aloha roll, it is a crabmeat, cucumber roll salmon on top with seaweed salad decorating the top of the roll. I ordered the mini chirashi don, which was a perfect main dish with five large slices of sashimi over rice, seaweed salad and a couple of nice spices of tamagoyaki (rolled egg), plus miso soup and a side salad. Easy listening music plays in the background, the wait staff are very nice and polite. The family at the next table with two little kids were given cute children's sectioned plates with kids' chopsticks, which was very convenient for the four year old to use, however, the two year old wasn't big enough to use chopsticks. This was a perfectly delicious lunch, with enough leftovers for a later dinner meal. Do try out this restaurant if you're driving along in the East Bay on the very long 680 freeway, it's a detour of five miles in land. There is plenty of parking here, it's located next to a barbecue shop with sauces, which I'll need to check out afterwards.
