Perfect night on the perfect patio with perfect sushi and perfect service! We really had a wonderful meal last night. Logan was our server and had some spot on suggestions (seriously get the scallop dynamite roll). We reserved a table ahead of time and our table wasn't ready when we arrived. When we were sat it took some time to get water and even longer to get our drinks ordered. For the price they are charging I'd expect better food but overall it no better than Panda Express but for double the cost. I'd prefer Panda to this place to be honest. I have never been treated so rudely by hostesses staff in my life they basically said if you don't like it go somewhere else. So we did. Happy hour was less than lackluster, and to spend $15 on a well drink with flat soda, I would say is a bit overpriced. They really need to step up their happy hour.!!!! My son wanted sushi for his birthday this year. We decided to go here for his birthday celebration. The atmosphere inside is very nice. Colors are great. Everything looked wonderful host sat us right now. It was only about four people in the restaurant so it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. Then everything went terrible. The service was one of the worst experiences I've ever had in life. The server started off with a nice attitude, but because we were asking him what was taking so long with certain things and drinks and he developed a very nasty attitude. Let's just say our reservation was for 5 o'clock. We didn't receive our final entrée until 8 PM. All of our entrées came out at different times. Three people got their entrées. We waited 40 minutes another three people got their entrées. We waited another 30 minutes. Couple other people got some sushi rolls. We waited almost an hour for the Ramen dishes. It was just really horrible. Also, my wife ordered a shrimp and fillet hibachi which they sent out with shrimp and sirloin then tried to convince us that it was a ribeye. Until the manager came over and confessed that we were correct. It was not ribeye. It was in fact, sirloin steak .The manager did come over in the mix of all of the terrible service and try to do something, but he was at a loss for words for how horrible the experience was and how horrible the kitchen process was going. He did discount some of our bill and apologized over and over which we did appreciate but it did not take away from the fact that the experience was horrible on my son's 24th birthday. I ordered a rainbow roll around lunch time and my fish did not look the proper color. For example my tuna lost its color and the edge of it were brown. I got the lobster shrimp roll and it was very tasty! The best part was by far the asian pesto sauce. It was something unique that i've never had a sushi restaurant before! Our server was very nice and helpful. I consistently order sushi via Uber Eats, and Ra may need to be taken off of my go-to list. I'm mostly and most recently disappointed in the tuna hand roll I just ordered. I'm not sure if I got scraps, but the tuna I received was hacked and didn't taste fresh. I pulled it all out of the roll, and the image attached shows how it was cut and scrapped together. My previous order had the fried rice order, and that was overcooked and basically inedible. The toro scallion roll has been consistently delicious. Just overall not worth the price whatsoever. What a fun place! The fish was freshly cut. Chefs reserved hamachi belly for me and recommended the maguro. I am a fan of the perfectly savory garlic edamame...finger licking good. The restaurant is pretty on the inside and service is okay but I was disappointed with my order. I attached a picture of what I ordered for lunch and what I actually received. Also $5 for a 12 oz. Redbull is insane. However, on a different occasion, I did get a specialty roll called the Scallop Dynamite (the pic with foil) which I enjoyed more. I just got over it a bit fast because there was too much cream cheese in it for my liking. Monday is happy hour all day! Ordered 4 rolls last Vegas, shrimp Tempera, the monkey one and rainbow, I enjoyed them all. Served gave recommendations on most popular. My son had the ckn teriaki and loved it. I order this bowl drink was way bigger than expected but good. Over all good, fresh, clean as always, easy quick seat. Ra has always been so good. They have a mango lobster roll. That's always been my favorite but I haven't been in in a while and last two times I went in there. Was this newer roll called the mango shrimp roll I think? it has salmon on top and shrimp Tempura in the middle and some delicious sauces to go on top The green tea is always so good and I've never had a bad experience with a server. My boss and coworkers decided to come here for a late lunch on a random Wednesday. There was about 19 of us so I'm definitely keeping that in mind when talking about the wait time. It wasn't busy when we arrived - only a few parties here and there. Thankfully, the staff was quick to push some tables together outside to fit all of us. We got our drinks ordered and then ordered our food not long after that. The appetizers came out quick enough, but it was a long hour or so of waiting before the last person's main dish arrived to the table. I ordered salmon nigiri and the tootsy maki. Other dishes were quicker than others, but some of my coworkers hadn't gotten anything they ordered by the time I had finished BOTH of my items. I must say, for how much some of the speciality rolls are, I wasn't blown away by the food I got. The salmon nigiri tasted good enough, but the tootsy maki was just... kinda there. I honestly felt like I was eating a regular miscellaneous fish roll. Also, my boss let me try one of his viva Las Vegas rolls and it had a lot of components and surely was a massive roll, but it didn't have much flavor. I was expecting some kind of punch for how cool the entire display is and how many things are actually in the roll, but no. I was disappointed. My tootsy maki roll was mostly the same way. I was just eating it because I was hungry. Also, the plates they gave us for the appetizers were definitely dirty; they clearly had residue on them. I can see why this place has 3.5 stars on Yelp and only 4 stars on Google. read more
