I am OBSESSED with the garlic edamame & love the chili ponzu yellowtail roll!! The coconut crème brûlée is delicious too! I almost always sit at the large outdoor bar when the weather is nice. Sometimes they have a live DJ playing on the weekends and there are also a number of TVs which is perfect for watching the World Cup games right now. I have never been to RA sushi before but have heard great things so wanted to give it a try. They have a lunch menu and they also have great indoor and outdoor seating within Pembroke Gardens. We decided to sit outside on the nice day that it was. They have quite a few different menu options and I decided to get the lunch chicken teriyaki sashimi bento box. The lunch item started with a miso soup. Then this bento box arrived and was huge, but very high-quality and delicious. The chicken teriyaki was flavorful. I also really liked the ginger salad on the side. The sashimi was something that stood out as fresh yet delicious. You got a bunch of different fish to try, which was a surprise to me. And the fried shrimp tempura, as well as tempura vegetables were also really good. It also came with a side of rice. Came in on a quiet Tuesday at 2:45. Place was empty. The waitress gave me the dinner menu and the happy hour since it started at 3:00. I told her I had Friends with Benefits coupon for $50 and she told me I can use it only with the dinner (full price) menu. I appreciate her honestly in not trying to overcharge me or get me to spend more money. With that being said....sign up for the FWB program. You earn points and there is a good sign up bonus. We ordered the chicken teriyaki that came with vegetables, plain white rice, miso soup and salad. Along with the RAckin roll. It was as described, but it was just too fried for my taste. Stopped into RA Sushi in Pembroke Pines for happy hour while I was out shopping and had a really nice experience overall. The restaurant was pretty empty at the time, so I grabbed a seat by the bar. It did take a little while for someone to come take my order, but once I did, everything turned around. Claudia, the bartender, was great and very attentive. She recommended the Emperor Margarita, and I ended up having two one with passion fruit and one regular on the rocks. Both were amazingly good. I also ordered the edamame, rainbow roll, and spicy salmon roll, and all of it was fresh and delicious. Despite the slow start, the food and service definitely made up for it. We came here on a Wednesday night for dinner. This restaurant has a nice patio, but they were only seating on the side that was pretty sunny, so we chose to sit inside. The service was pretty slow. The first thing to arrive was the sushi roll, but the rest of the food took quite a while to come out, including the edamame we had ordered as an appetizer. Once it did arrive, the pods were overcooked so they were falling apart. I wish the roll would have been brought out with the rest of the food because it was awkward for one guest to have food while everyone else didn't for quite a bit. The rainbow roll and fried rice were tasty. The wings were good but very spicy! Considering it was a weekday evening, I would have expected better consistency with the food. The drinks were good and creative, but on the pricier side for sure. I'd probably stop by here for a drink again, but if you want sushi, there are many other options in the area! read more

Do not go to this restaurant unless you like paying for nothing . I went all the time loved it. Today I was made a fool. They eliminated the bento box salmon for lunch and replaced it with a whole lot of rice bowl and the smallest piece of salmon you can ever imagined. for a minute I thought it was a joke. They gave me more miso soup than salmon. Also the crab ragoons use to be thick and large they sliced them more than half. My lunch with more food there was usually about 28. I came with my son after work to relax and spend quality time together. Instead, we spent three hours waiting, were repeatedly told items were unavailable, were overcharged, and ultimately left without the food we ordered. The timeline of our visit was completely unacceptable: Repeatedly Out of Stock: I ordered two different steaks from the menu. Each time, we waited nearly an hour before the staff returned to inform us the kitchen was out of them. Lost Orders: We placed a third order, only to be asked later what we had ordered in the first place. My son eventually settled on a steak burrito. Three Hours Spent for Nothing: At 11:55 PM--three full hours after arriving- we were told they were out of steak burritos as well and only had chicken. It should never take three hours to inform a table that menu items are unavailable. When I raised these issues with the manager, Sergio, there was a complete lack of accountability. Our server even pleaded with him to make things right, explicitly confirming we had been waiting for three hours. Sergio admitted he was aware because he had seen us sitting there the entire time, but claimed there was nothing he could do. He offered two $10 scratch-off cards for a future visit. When I asked to apply that $20 credit to our current bill--since I clearly would not be returning--he refused. To make matters worse: Billing Errors: I paid $140, only to discover after getting home that the bill did not match the Happy Hour prices on the menu we were given and did not accurately reflect what was served. Hygiene Concerns: I witnessed a staff member wiping/picking his nose, leaving the restaurant, and returning to serve a customer's drink without washing his hands. Unwelcoming Atmosphere: Two of the three TVs were broadcasting graphic crime-investigation shows depicting deceased individuals, which ruined any attempt at a relaxing dining atmosphere. Widespread Issues: We ran into friends who were seated nearby and left after 45 minutes because the restaurant was out of the menu items they wanted to order as well. I came looking for a quiet evening with my son. Instead, I left frustrated, exhausted, $140 poorer, and with no meal for my son. When poor communication, inaccurate pricing, unavailable menu items, unacceptable wait times, questionable hygiene, and a complete lack of management accountability are tolerated, mediocrity stops being an exception and becomes the standard. Everything came out one by one instead of being organized properly--like bringing drinks out first. It took about 15 minutes just to get my drink, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. The food was also disappointing. The fried rice portions are not worth it, especially if you're thinking about ordering extra. If you order steak, you get maybe 5-6 very small pieces, and asking for more costs an additional $13, which is definitely not worth it. Went last night for a date night and the the salad was inedible and the two hand rolls i got , the spicy tuna tasted like canned tuna and the salmon in the JB hand roll looked like a cheap carrot slice and was super chewy. Also, the drinks were a 2 out of 10. The garlic edamame was the only thing that tasted decent. Maybe management changed and cheaper seafood options were purchased? Maybe a new chef? My friend is gluten free and the server Christian informed us of our options and took extra precautions to ensure our experience was seamless. I really don't like having to post bad reviews but this one was so needed. We've attempted to give this RA location chances several times but no success. Idk what has happened with management or the training but service has been disappointing. The table in front and the table behind us also were complaining that they had been sitting there for a while and nobody to acknowledge them. One waitress came out only to say so sorry for the delay but we have a party inside which means that all available servers are dedicated to one table ? My boyfriend and I wanted to give this location one last shot but ended up leaving after waiting about 10-15 minutes for someone to take our order. We hadn't even gotten to our appetizers. I truly look forward to Pembroke Gardens replacing RA with another great restaurant because they do have a great location. It's time for RA to close shop. read more

I've been here a few times, and I have to say, the service has only improved over time. Usually it's the opposite, but with RA, it has been awesome. I always get something different (poke' bowl/sushi/sashimi) and it's always fresh. I was on a work lunch today with my co-workers, and David the manager greeted us throughout our dining experience. Seems for me, 2025 went out with more like a doozy than a bang! My last few restaurant experiences have been pretty bad but this one was a shocker. I had hopes that RA would continue to be UP because we did have an amazing dining experience in the past. My teen daughter liked this place after choosing to dine here on her 13th birthday. The food that night was really good! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. So she chose to have dinner here again for her 15th. Should have been a red flag when we walked in to a handful of diners. The bar was pretty busy but the remainder of the place was relatively empty! We were seated and promptly had our orders taken. We were a party of 4. My daughter wore a BIRTHDAY GIRL sash across her chest so they were aware it was her birthday. The waiter even wished her a happy birthday! Well we all ordered and waited and made small talk at the table while orders for our table started to trickle out. First my hubby was served soup and salad. Then my hubby was served his dinner. He tried to wait for our food but it was taking a while and his was getting cold so I advised him to eat it while it was hot. He finished his food and still, no one else was served anything. Then my niece got her appetizer edamame and shortly after, her sushi roll came out. My daughter and I were starving so we started picking off of her edamame. She was nearly finished with her food before my daughter, THE BIRTHDAY GIRL got her appetizer. Then my daughter finished her appetizer that she was trying to savor and eat slowly. Meanwhile, I've been served nothing at this point except a cup of water. It's 45 minutes in and I still only ate a few edamame pods. My husband and niece were both completely done eating and playing games on their phones. Tables around us that had come after us were also either well into their meals or finished and leaving and my daughter and I still hadn't received our entrees. Finally our waiter said, I know your food is taking long but it's coming. Still 8 minutes later and no food! She explained that she was a "traveling manager" and that she was on the grill and was making our food as we spoke. She apologized for the delay and shortly after, our Hibachi Burritos came out. All that wait for a shrimp burrito that was actually just a burrito filled with old tasting fried rice and a few (no exaggeration) small pieces of shrimp sparsely stuffed randomly inside. It was like finding a needle in a haystack! I counted 4 tiny chunks of shrimp. The burrito was DRY and salty and full of JUST RICE!!!!! JUST...RICE...! Yes the rice was fried rice so there were minuscule bits of egg and veggies but even they were sparse. Those burritos were SAD to say the least. I looked over at my daughter's plate and she had basically removed most of the rice from the burrito trying to find her chicken. I asked her how hers was and she made a face as if to say it was awful. Both of our plates were piled with the rice we had removed trying to get to the other stuff which ended up not being there. When I think hibachi, I think grilled veggies, garlic butter sauce, onions and all the things. But NOOOO I would not recommend this at all. It was gross, and the only thing I tasted was SALT! Well the manager did take both burritos off of our bill and gave my daughter free desserts for her birthday (mochi and fried ice cream). However, I left here feeling like RA is now on its last breath! Some of their best menu items are no longer available...hibachi seafood platter with calamari, scallops and shrimp was my GO TO and their lobster spring rolls were phenomenal! Other items that I've had and loved in the past are gone. That's one things that sustains a place! When people grow to love certain items, WHY CONSTANTLY REVAMP a menu that isn't broken? Came with a small group for lunch when it was empty. For some reason they had the doors open and it made the inside terribly hot and humid and our table was wet and sticky because of it. Service was a little slow considering we were the only people eating. After we ordered the waiter told us we were eligible for their holiday gift card promotion if we paid in one check instead of splitting it. When we were about to pay the manager came to the table and told us they no longer had the gift cards for the promotion and there was no way to get them except to come back to the restaurant in a few days. But we were all visiting from out of town so that wasn't possible. I appreciate the manager trying to find a solution but it was just frustrating to have wasted so much time during our meal discussing the promotions we didn't know existed with the waiter to then have to discuss why we couldn't get it anymore later. We arrived during happy hour and it wasn't crowded at all. We were able to choose where we wanted to sit. Our waiter was a young gentleman. He was polite and was helpful with recommendations. We ordered Ra Ra Shrimp, Crunchy Shrimp Tempura Roll, and a Philadelphia Roll. For drinks we ordered a Dragon Bite and Milagro Paloma. Most of the food was on happy hour however, you don't receive the full portion if you order it off the happy hour menu. The alcoholic drinks were good. The Dragon Bite wasn't strong at all, so if you don't like a stiff drink then this is the drink for you. Now the Milagro Paloma was pretty strong but in a good way. If you like tequila this is the drink for you. The grapefruit and the type of tequila that was used was nice. My biggest issue with service was our waiter was not attentive at all. He went missing throughout service. Often times we needed refills on water and he was no where to be found. Our appetizer and main meal came out at the same time and our appetizer was cold and had to be sent back. I even had my friends try it to be sure, and they all said the same thing. When I told the waitress later, she said it might've been the ice cubes.
