Had a problem buying a car back in 2015 due to horrendous service and bait and switch tactics. Figured I would give them a shot 4 years later at their service department and yet again horrendous service and even another bait and switch tactic. I called in yesterday to make a 1pm appointment for an oil change and asked what the price for a synthetic oil change would be with the coupon on their website and the lady that I was talking to said to add $30 to the coupon and that would be my price. I got to raceway nissan and was greeted by one of the worst people I have met in a customer service position (Emilio Baruffi). This employee didn't greet me and I had to ask questions to even see if he was the guy that was dealing with the service customers. He non nonchalantly says its a two hour wait for an oil change with an appointment as if it's normal. After that I show him my coupon for the oil change and tell him what the lady said the day before and he says, "No. It's $70." He follows that up by saying, "I talked to someone yesterday and told him the same thing." Basically insinuating that he talked to me and that I was lying about talking to a female." After his crappy customer service I just left and got his business card to be able to write this review. Nothing has changed in terms of this dealership being shady and dishonest. All this dealership does is give a bad reputation to Nissan (which I will never buy a car from again) and waste their customers time. I will probably write a letter to ownership as well, but this is the best way to help others from a bad experience. Just stay away from this dealership and life will be much better. read more

I hate to do this because I love my car that I bought from them, HOWEVER... I purchased the VSC "Vehicle Service Contract" AND the PPMA "Pre-Paid Maintenance Agreement". A couple days later we decided we did not need the PPMA so went down to the dealership and canceled ONLY the PPMA part of the contract but without our knowing it they inatvertently CANCELED them BOTH!! The only reason we found out, we saw the refund on our loan agreement. My Husband called the dealership left a couple of messages asking for a call back with NO RESULTS. Finally my husband spoke to a person named DUSTY. She said she normally handles canceling the policy but was on vacation and the person handling her work made the mistake. She said she would take care of the mistake ASAP. It took her about a week but finally after another call to her told us it had been reactivated, had my husband write down the new contract number and told us she would be emailing the number to us and that we would be getting a card with the number. NEVER received either one from her. We called left a couple voice mails asking for something with the new # on it. STILL NEVER A CALL!! Quick to take our $$$$ with NO REAL HELP when you need it!! I called the phone number on the contract to Nissan Extended Services and i told them what happened and all I need is a new copy of the VSC # on a legal contract. They gave me a "case # "and told me someone would call back the SAME day. NO CALL 3 days later!! I called again spend 40 min on the phone just to be told that their is a "Team of SPECIALIST" handling my "CASE". I told them "THERE IS NO CASE"!! I just want a copy of my VSC with my knew VSC # on it!!! She just kept repeating a "TEAM of SPECIALIST" is on your case!! I told them "a team for what? One to lick the stamp and another to lick the envelope??" They transferred me to a vcml to the "SPECIALIST" handling my "CASE" and was told I would get a call today. We will see. I just want a copy of my contract!! I have NO written proof of my VSC contract with my new # !! Since I first wrote this, We FINALLY received written proof!! read more

WE WERE SNOOKERED!! It was the most horrible experience I have ever had when purchasing a vehicle. In 25 words or less, we had a verbal agreement on a price for the car we wanted. After taking all of background info, which took about an hour, the 'manager,' Carlos, came in and said he couldn't sell it to us for that price. Claimed he didn't know what the salesman, Christian, had told us. He did back down after shaking his head and telling why he couldn't sell it for the price agreed upon over and over again. But that wasn't the end of the shady operations... we were then led into the finance person's office, 'Luis,' who would not take no for an answer when trying to sell us a warranty and a maintenance program. After another hour with him trying to explain why we needed these items, we got down to actually signing the documents. But that wasn't the end of the shady operations... he managed to slip in two additional charges for special tires that hold nitrogen gas and a security system, amounting to about $700 that was not included in the purchase price. When I questioned him, he kept saying we were not paying these charges but in reality we were. I will never go back there again. I don't know how these guys can live with themselves. read more

We came to the dealership for the "two at this price" ad in the PE. We called ahead to make sure the car was still available and were told that two were available for that price. When we arrived 45 minutes later we were told one sold the day before and only one was available. Another person was looking at the car so we were told if we hurried and got the paperwork and financing done right away, its whoever gets it first. We have well over 700 credit and had over 50% down cash with us. We got our paperwork done and the sales manager came in to say the car was $1000 more than the ad we had. We showed him the ad and he said "oh, thats a different ad" and he'd be back to adjust the price. Left sitting over 3 hours trying to entertain our 9 month old, we then realized they were offering it to the other buyer since he had the other ad and they would make more off of him. Once he rejected their offer, they came to us and told us the car was ours. When the final pricing papers came back it was for $2400 more than the advertised ad. When asked why they stated it was for dealer add-ons.... $700 for nitrogen in the tires and over $1700 for an alarm system. Interesting when Costco will fill your tires with nitrogen for free! We told them we were going to walk and the sales person stated "your actually going to walk over that amount". Sorry but the dealerships advertised NO GIMMICK special pricing is a joke. If they had told us right away that they were waiting for the other customers offer first we would have left right away- no fun waiting with a baby. We also told them we would still buy the car if they removed the alarm and deducted the cost for it but they said they would not. Felt like they really just wanted to not honor their ad. I really expected the sales manager to stop us on the walk-out but 10k down and 700+ fica on a 15,998 altima does not make Raceway enough money. I took the ad to Quality Nissan and they matched the price and gave me the nitrogen for free. ******I challenge Raceway to contact me, meet THEIR price, and honor THEIR ad with none of the "ad-ons" to defray low ad prices to keep people coming in the door. If they do, I'll go buy another right now and update the web!!!! read more

Me and my son went to Raceway Nissan after recieving flyer at home which advertised Nissan Altima for 14999, I gave a call and sales lady told me there is one left at that price. We reached dealership, sales person took us to the car with same vin number and my son test drive the car. We liked the car and than started paper work. Sales Agent came with paper work that we can have car for 18000. We objected and told him why 18000 and he said take it or leave it! We left the dealership. I've got a couple complaints. First off I was sold an Karr Security system as being already "pre-installed" except for the part that still needed to be installed by a technician by appointment and didn't get that part of the speech until after the finance guy. Second I was charged for "Nitro-fill" again told this was already done by the dealer and couldn't be negotiated (Costco uses nitrogen and doesn't charge anything and when I asked another nissan dealership in regards to changing my wheels they said they wouldn't charge for nitrogen either). My last complaint was that because i bought the car late after the parts department had closed, I wasn't able to get the SD card that allows you to use the Navigation, save your radio stations and bluetooth connections etc. Was told it would be sent overnight...took 4 days to arrive a whopping 50 miles away, wasn't overnighted. read more

Absolutely horrible experience at Raceway Nissan, I purchased a used 2014 Chrysler 200 in late August 2015 and recently I've been going to a few different dealers because I wanted to see about getting something a bit bigger than what I currently have. Not until recently trying to trade in my car at different places, was it brought to my attention they put on several extra optional add on's that I didn't ask for in the initial agreement making the total over $15,000 on the contract for a car I originally was only supposed to be paying $11,900 for of course with tax and license but would never make the price that high. I had Felipe as a salesman and he was absolutely excellent, however the finance manager I believe he was at the time his name was Don put in the deal without my knowledge a subscription to Nitrofill for $1,289 which is completely astronomical considering they're just replacing the air in the tires with nitrogen, as well as some kind of warranty and a few other things I never asked for and that I had made sure he was aware that I didn't want added. First he printed out my contract, went over it with me and there were no extra options added, everything looked good. Then as I'm half way through singing with my co-signer, he stops me and says he messed up and needed to re-do it. The second time I was already exhausted having been at the dealership for about 4 hours after working all day, I just initialed and signed where needed which was foolish on my part. He made no notice to the thousands of dollars of added options he slipped into the contract at that point, after signing he gave me the copies and shook my hand and I was on my way. I've had the car for a year and a half now, first problem it had was the brakes squeaked very loudly a day after driving it off the lot, a couple months later the battery died, after that the alternator went, then the transmission started slipping so thank god Dodge still covered it I was able to get it repaired through them. I don't blame the dealer for the transmission or alternator but the brakes should of been checked before selling as they were just about metal to metal contact when I got them replaced. Bear in mind a day after purchasing the vehicle I brought it in to the service department and was told they were fine, as well as my steering wheel being crooked so I continued to drive on the brakes until I knew there was something definitely wrong when it felt like gravel applying the brakes. It was so bad that the rotor is now deeply scored and gouged. I returned to Raceway Nissan a few months after purchasing the vehicle to see about maybe swapping it for another one on the lot, and was spoken to by some new manager at the time about my experience. I showed him my contracts that were clearly marked way up, and you know what his response was? He asked my why I was bothering wasting his salesman's time test driving other vehicles when I'm aware I'm underwater on my current loan. He told me I would be unable to file a lawsuit against the dealership because Don had been terminated for "Obvious reasons". VERY shady dealership, I recommend anybody avoid it at all costs. I'll never be back to this hell hole in my life, thank you Raceway Nissan for screwing over my chance of ever getting out of this pile of a car. read more

Enough bad stuff is written about Car Dealership's on Yelp, so I though that it was time someone had the courage, or simply took the time to reward excellence. This is my first remote "Father" post, I live in Missouri, but my eldest son is in Cali. We recently shared a bonding moment, when he wanted to purchase a new Car. He wanted to prove that he didn't need the old man anymore. He scoured the Internet for the best deal, price, interest rate , trade-in..everything, he was prepared. He wanted to compare the Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra & Hyundai Elantra. He saved the best for last, after test driving, what he call "ok" cars, he arrived at Raceway Nissan and the experience he described did not match the name. The staff at the dealership, didn't speed, the had all the product knowledge, he required and answered all his questions and concerns. He didn't even need to call me, but did to celebrate this "right of passage". He is a man now, fact is he got a way better deal than I would have because he was out of there in under an hour....total. Kudo's Raceway Nissan! read more

I purchased my 2015 Frontier from raceway last year and it came with 6 free oil changes. On this last time that I went to get my oil changed I noticed on my garage floor there was a small puddle of oil. I took my truck back to Raceway 2 days later and told them what was going on, they said ok and that they would check it out. After about 45 minutes they get back to me and say they can't find any leaks, mind you I've been watching the tech through the window to the shop and he was wiping down the cross member and I saw him reach up and tighten the oil filter then he mopped under the truck. So the service writer takes me out in the shop to take a look and I explained to them where it was coming from but of course I saw nothing at the time because he already fixed the issue. He began asking me questions like are you sure it was oil?, what color was it?, etc. I informed him I'm sure it was and the oil wasn't there before this oil change. I wasn't really in the mood to go back and forth cause obviously they were just going to lie to my face, so I just said ok and ill just keep an eye on it. Miraculously since that day there's been no oil on my floor. I would have preferred the tech and service writer to just admit the mistake of not tightening the filter and I wouldn't have been upset, but they chose to lie and play me for an idot. Just as a FYI I am a Diesel Technician/Mechanic so I do know what I saw and what I'm talking about. read more

First of all let me say I normally hate the car buying experience! This experience was totally different. I found a pre owned car online that was being sold by this dealer. I don't live in the area so I negotiated the deal over the phone without even seeing the car in person. Curtis was a pleasure to deal with. He took additional photos of the car on his cell and sent them to me via text. When I got there the car was as described and ready to go. The finance guy (sorry I forgot his name) was also wonderful he offered me what they have to sell but he was not pushy at all. I got a great deal on a great car and the experience was the best it could possibly be. I would definitely recommend driving from any distance to buy a car from these guys. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Our experience with this dealership was filled with lies and scams. We own our own business and were looking for a service truck. Saw their ad on Truck Trader as well as their website for exactly what we were looking for. After calling the dealership and speaking with a salesperson. We were told yes they had both for the price listed and after 5 other phone calls over a 3 hour period were able to confirm the options on the truck. (the ads had discrepancies on them). The plan was to just go to the dealership and purchase the truck without financing and we were looking for a no hassle experience. I was attempting to take care of all the paperwork before we got there because my husband works in the field 12-16 hours a day and could not spare a lot of time. We agreed with the ad price and options therefore no negotiation was needed. After my husband made it home he called and confirmed once again and the salesperson said the truck would be washed and in front of the dealer. We stated we could be there by 7:15 she said that was fine because she was there until 9:00. Got there when we said did not see truck went inside the showroom first person did not know who the person was that we asked for. Second person said they knew about the deal but was busy with someone else and would find someone to help us. Third person started doing the salesperson thing even though the price in the ad was fine with us and we did not require financing. Even asked us how much do we want to pay a month. Explained once again we were paying in full. Asked us personal information we stopped him and said may we see the truck? Over the next 45 minutes he went out on th elot and came back in to talk to someone out and in again and then finally drove up with a different much more expensive truck. He then attempted the bait and switch. He stated he could not find either of the 2 trucks list but this truck was "similar". It was $5000 more than what we were promised. We reminded him about all the conversations with the salesperson that was suppose to be there. He said he did not even think she worked there. We then asked about the ad on Truck Trader he said they have been having a lot of problems with them and the accuracy of the ads. I then pulled up their website and showed both trucks there, he did not know what to say. At this point if it were me I would have involved a manager because this was obviously a very uncomfortable bad situation and the dealer looked ridiculous. My huband stated to him that he had driven home from work which took over two hours and was told and promised something that probably never existed. The salesperson could care less. When you are in this business and something goes this wrong you need to attempt to make it right not hide your head in the sand. The overall feel of the dealership was bad when we walked in. It felt bad and gave us the ebie jebies. If you prefer not to feel bad and be treated like you don't matter, DO NOT go here. I can bet this franchise is not on the list of TOP NISSAN DEALERS probably quite teh opposite. My prediction is they will be out of business in the next few years. read more

In the end the team was actually able to offer me a brand new car with a really great deal. As a graduate of one of the top business schools I can tell you that Raceway Nissan offers one of the best customer experiences in the market. Every time I call to set something up I get bounced around on the phone then put in a voice mail. Then I call back to be told no one is available. Absolute worst customer-relations and business plan I have ever seen. I arrived on Saturday in response to an ad published in the Press-Enterprise newspaper for a brand new altima, it was one of those "one at this price" only deals and had the exact VIN printed for the vehicle. In the ad it also says "Total price, no gimmicks!" If only that were true. The actual car was not even on the lot. Right away they tried showing me other more expensive ones. I made it clear that I was only interested in that ad car, so we went to the other location to see it. I had to come back with my wife the next morning, I filled out all paperwork already and left after 4 hours. I called 3 times to see if that car had been sold yet, I was so excited to get it Sunday morning. Sunday we arrived right at 10am when they opened. My wife, son and myself. Immediately they tried showing my wife other cars. She test drove the ad car, and we both said we want that one, and to start the paperwork. Again, they talked about the S model the entire time we waited. They wanted to give us the numbers (prices) for the ad car and an S model, even though we only want to buy the ad car (base model). After 2 hours of waiting, they finally brought the numbers. I was shocked. The price of the ad car was +$2000 higher than the ad!? Well, they added in an alarm system for $1795 (which is absolutely insane - my father has bought 4 ad cars before like this and told me they will try to add an alarm, but for a few hundred dollars, not almost $1800) and they added a Nitrogen charge of approximately $300 (Nitrogen! $300?) I told them that $300 for nitrogen is ridiculous, considering that the atmosphere is on average 78% nitrogen anyways, so compressed air actually is mostly nitrogen. They did not like that statement. Next, I said that I do not want the alarm, and that we do not want to buy the type S model (I will get to that in a minute) and to just remove or disable the alarm and we will buy this vehicle and be a happy customer and on our way. The S model car has it right there on paper and ink, $301 for the same alarm system!! So they are trying to rip me off for 6 times that price on the ad car, just to inflate the price to make the S car look like the better deal. Also, they told us the best interest rate was 5.99% on the ad car. Which is just plain stupid and a lie to our face. We have an 800 credit score and know what we qualify already. It was another scheme to make the 0.9% rate on the S model look better. So, we said we want the ad car, but not the alarm, and said to just remove the alarm. The sales manager said they cannot do that, and he refused to. (My father bought 4 ad cars like this at other dealers and they all took the alarm off when he said he didn't want it, I know others who have done this as well with no problems, they just simply DO NOT want to sell their best "bait and switch" car). I called him out on how insulting he was to our faces for him to put the $301 alarm price on the other car but $1795 on the ad car. It was very insulting, as if he just seriously thinks we are that stupid. The 5.99% interest is just as insulting, but I didn't care as much because I had the cash and was going to pay the car off after one month anyways. Just need the financing to get that special NMAC price. So you may be thinking, "oh typical car dealer" and that I am over-reacting. No, they were very blatant and insulting with their methods of ripping customers off. Also, the manager used the F word 4 times in front of my wife and son!! This is supposed to be a professional manager! Using swear words on the customer floor and in front of customers. So unprofessional and a disgusting image of Nissan that this man is a manager and representative of their company. One of the times saying "this always F****** happens, I hate these F****** ads." This showed that they run this "bait and switch" scheme often and don't care about doing honest business. So, in the end, they knew what they were doing from the start and that they do not care for my time and they have no business morals: They could have told me about the alarm system and that the advertised price is not actually a real selling price from the very start. They could have told me it: 1. On the phone in the initial call 2. When I arrived with the ad in hand 3. When I said I want to buy the ad car 4. during any of the 3 phone calls later Saturday night. 5. Or right when we arrived Sunday morning when my wife went on the test drive. 6. And they could have just told us in general at any time before bringing the papers with the number on them to us and giving us that "shock and awe" aspect. AT ANY TIME they could have had morals and told us of the falsely advertised price. We left very frustrated and upset with Raceway Nissan. Don't just "give" your business to a dealership, make them "earn" it with respect, and honesty. Hopefully Raceway Nissan will learn and change their business plan!! read more

I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Nissan or good used car! Had biggest headache trying to find a SUV or car in my price range and credit not very good! Took my car in for a routine oil change. I usually take it to Metro Nissan but I was in the area. I didnt have an appointment so I was aware I might have to wait a little longer. The service rep who helped me said it would be an hour wait. I waited 2 hours! Saw at least 3 people who got there after me finish and leave before me. Besides the long wait both the service rep and the cashier had bad attitudes and no customer service. The cashier was to busy socializing to answer my questions and the service rep had a bad attitude from start to finish. I will never go return to this dealer. read more

I received an email from their Internet sales department saying that I could upgrade my car to Altama 2.5 and keep the same payment. That was a lie I purchased my car 2014 July its 2015 According to the email all I needed was 995.00.sounds to good to be true. Believe me it was. As soon as sat down we needed more money down! Your car is upside down I was told that the bank love you because your interest rate 27 percent, lie my interest was high but not 27 17.95 the salesman change my income information to make the sale. My car payment went from 400 to almost 700 I reluctantly agreed to the deal. Two weeks go by Nissan was blowing up me phone telling me to bring the car back ASAP!! Raceway Nissan's service writer MARCOS ESTRADA has a new SCAM to BEWARE OF. He PROMISES A FREE TANK OF GAS if you give him a perfect review. I gave him a shining review, and when I tried FOUR TIMES within a 6 week time period of my service he refused to answer my call, even though when each time I asked to leave him a message. Finally I had to call anonymously to get him to talk to me. His excuse was he was sick and or on vacation,so this was why he COULDN'T return my calls during this 6 week period of time (must have been real sick on his extended 6 week vacation). He then informed me that since my review was not PERFECT, I had not QUALIFIED for my free tank of gas. When I informed him that one one specific question on his review was I offered a cup of coffee or water or not, I had replied that I was not offered one.He then told me they had it available on a table somewhere , that I was not aware of, so what. Well I was told I was to (not tell truth and lie) to give him his PERFECT SCORE, so therefore I had disqualified myself by (TELLING THE TRUTH AND NOT LIEING). Great service ! Barbara in internet sales was amazing ! I literally called here for a question regarding financing and she was kind enough to ask more questions .. I didn't trust any dealership with the way my son was treated on his trade in he had . Barbara was so empathic towards are needs and wanted us to try Raceway .. We decided take that leap of faith and we're still in shock. We left there with a brand new 2018 vehicle Nissan Altima . aI think my family is still shocked . The first thing I'd like to say is that I absolutely LOVE my 2016 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV! I took my husband's 2014 Sentra SR to get serviced for the airbag sensor recall and took a test drive on the same day with Steven. He was very knowledgeable about the Altima and took into account what I was looking for in a car without adding unnecessary options, which I really appreciated. I returned 3 days later with my husband to make a purchase which we thought would be pretty quick. Not only was it crowded, but the entire process from start to finish was quite long; especially considering I walked in with a pre-approved loan from my credit union. Everyone from Steven, Maurio, Christopher Bosch, Jerry Becerra and Veronica were nice and took initiative in making sure we were okay during the process. All was well until...the moment they were releasing the car and we were notified the employee who took the car to the wash bay WENT HOME WITH MY KEYS! Mind you we'd been at the dealership from about 3pm to almost 9pm and I had to be at work by 5am the following morning. The look on their faces was priceless because they knew they'd messed up royally, plus my husband was pretty pissed. Nevertheless we were assured they'd track the employee down and deliver the car to my home the same night. Although this was an inconvenience I must say they came through on their promise and delivered the car within an hour or so to my husband and said I could bring the car back for a detail a full tank of gas. I think for future reference they should probably put parameters in place so an employee could never do this again and maybe streamline the process for pre-approved customers so they don't have to wait as long. read more
