I used to come here a LOT in its previous incarnation as Uptown Burger, and I do miss the fact that they were open for dinner. My understanding is that the owner decided change over to breakfast and lunch place, and reopened as Rachel's Cafe; and later, it was sold to another owner. There are some elements on the menu that still remain from the Uptown Burger days. So today, I came in for the first time in quite a while. I noticed two burgers that really caught my eye. So operating on fact that Kao's have four stomachs, I turned on my secret superpower: fatass mode. ........................aka, I ordered both of them. The two burgers that I got were the fig and onion (my absolute favorite, stretching back to the Uptown Burger days), and the Vermont maple. Okay, let's talk the Vermont maple first. This is a decently good, not-too-far-out-there flavor profile. It's more interesting than a plain burger, but it's not crazy. The maple flavor is there, but it doesn't overwhelm the burger. Mozzarella cheese also does well to dampen flavors. Overall, this is a really good burger for those who are either ready to branch out beyond a plain ol' burger or to try something more than yet another burger with a fried egg in it. The fig and onion.... oh boy, my love for this burger knows no bounds. This is a life-changing burger. (wait, what?) ... Okay, hear me out: bacon, caramelized onions, fig jam, gorgonzola cheese. Before this burger, I was actually pretty convinced that I disliked gorgonzola cheese. It's just a hard, somewhat crumbly, moldy, foot-smelling block of salt, right? All that changes when burger juices get soaked into that cheese. It softens the cheese, both literally physically and in flavor. Additionally, you have another huge contrasting flavor in the fig jam. This burger is a huge battle of sweet and savory with very robust flavors, and it was the first burger that I had that made me want to experiment with burger fixings the way that we do with pizza toppings. If you like robust flavors in your food, try this burger. Guarantee it's better than it sounds. Okay, now the sides. I got onion rings with one of my burgers, and fries with the other one. And I'm going to have to say... stick with the onion rings. The fries were, I think, 3/8" machine cut. And I don't know if it was just fried once or didn't do a cold water soak or oil was too low temperature, or a combination of them. The fries looked nice and brown, but they were soft. Like, I've had pan-fried home fries that were crispier. Not sure what's going on there. The onion rings, on the other hand, were nice and crispy, and just more satisfying. If you ever used to come here back in the Uptown Burger days, it still looks pretty much the same inside. The bar area is still where it used to be. I think the chairs at the bar area are still the same exact chairs, actually. The TVs are still where they were mounted before, too. They have an espresso machine there now, though. Didn't get a good look at which model, but it's a Nuova Simonelli (I also failed to notice which grinder they're using, unfortunately).

This is one of my husband's favorite spots for breakfast. My mother in law came with us and we all loved our food. The menu was extensive and they had lots of choices from bagel sandwiches, croissants, English muffins, omelettes, hash, etc. The waitress we had was very professional and polite for someone in her 20s. I loved my egg white omelette with veggies and chicken sausage. It came with a small serving of fresh fruit. My husband got the corned beef hash and he tought it was great, albeit a bit salty. My mother in law loved her croissant. Plenty of parking in the South County Commons parking area.

Covid 19 update We had a Very nice breakfast. Sat outside at 10am on a cloudy Sunday morning. Sidewalk dining. The food was very good. Tasty breakfast potato's, perfect pancake, Thick slices of buttered rye toast and eggs cooked perfectly over hard. They are doing a terrific job amidst the Covid situation. I highly recommend.

    Inedible "poached" eggs

Just left Rachel's in Wakefield - one of our worst breakfasts in years! Ordered corned beef hash with poached eggs. The food arrived and eggs were hard boiled. When server finally stopped by to inquire about our meals, I expressed my opinion of the hard boiled poached eggs and she said she'd have chef recook the eggs. 15 minutes later they arrived and they virtually inedible as they were translucent and runny - not cooked at all - revenge of the cook!? One other complaint - $1.50 up charge for rye bread which was pretty ordinary - pretty weird. Oh well. Attitude and food very disappointed.

Were there very early on a Saturday morning so there were only a few other diners but the service was very friendly. Food was good. I had a very good latte. My daughter enjoyed the Belgian waffles; however, the bacon I received with my order tasted a bit off. Otherwise a cute little place.

Watermelon smoothie with a cutie patootie.

Very friendly staff. Clean inside. Delicious food. Smoothies are yummy. My son had the watermelon smoothie with regular milk and I had black Cherry with with oat milk. We ate a Belgium waffle, avocado sandwich and egg white omelette. Homemade taste and great service.

The Commons- 2 eggs, potatoes, toast and a pancake!

This is fabulous eating establishment. Extremely well operated, gorgeous interior and the staff is incredibly professional and friendly. The food is off the charts great. I had the Portuguese sweet bread French toast with fresh strawberries. We loved that we could order REAL maple syrup! Every restaurant should have this option. The French toast was delicious and perfectly browned. My side of bacon was cooked perfectly - just the amount crispness. My husband had The Commons, 2 eggs fried over hard potatoes and multigrain toast. He also had a buttermilk pancake that was right up his alley! We are very appreciative of the service we received from Rickie, and the Owner/manager. Everyone seemed to work hard toward the end goal which was pleasing the customer. We will definitely return next time we are in the area.

really good food! quiet monday morning. there was 1 server working by herself and she was doing such a good job! the avo toast was good! i like how they offer a variety of gluten free items (toast, bagels, etc)

From the Portuguese scrambler item on the online ordering system - says free but they will charge you afterward.

The three things I look for in a brewery are an inviting (dog friendly) outdoor space, accessibility to some good food, and (of course) some quality beers. Tower Hill is two for three - I really can't comment on the food aspect, but they do link available BYO options that will deliver to the brewery. We just didn't order anything. The bartender was excellent - friendly and helpful and knowledgable on the beers offered. His opinions of the beers in the flight I tried matched my own. He definitely added to the overall experience. They're situated in a business plaza and their outdoor area is a row of parking stalls that they walled off and set up picnic tables, comfortable chairs, and corn hole with some outdoor carpeting that made the aesthetic a bit more inviting. They also have quite a few events on their calendar including trivia nights and live music which is what pushed them into the five-star range for me. I had to think about this rating since I live about and 8-hour drive from them, but next time we visit New England, I intend to try to convince Mama to make South Kingstown a waypoint so we can try the food options, enjoy the entertainment, and be able to more thoroughly enjoy the beer offerings without having to think about making a long drive afterwards. So yeah, if it ends up being an hour out of our way, I'll still try to convince her to add Tower Hill to the itinerary! My rating scale: 1 - Just don't 2 - You'll survive, but there are better choices close by 3 - Good choice if you're in the area 4 - I'd drive 30 minutes out of my way just to come here 5 - I'd try to convince my wife to drive an hour just to come here

The birthday boy enjoyed his free birthday beer (one of the many perks of celebrating at Tower Hill), while I opted for a flight featuring Boss Light, New Zealand Pilsner, Black Point & a refreshing passionfruit hard seltzer. It was a great way to sample a variety of styles & I enjoyed all of them. As if great beer was not enough, we were treated to live entertainment by a traditional pickin' & grinnin' acoustic jam band. Calling it a band hardly does it justice - there were at least 20 musicians! Guitars, banjos, fiddles, mandolins... the room was filled with incredible talent & toe-tapping tunes. It felt less like watching a performance & more like being part of an old-fashioned musical gathering. Between the delicious brews, the lively music & the festive birthday vibes, it was the perfect way to cap off the evening. We will definitely be back for another pint & hopefully another jam session! We drove up to the building and there really is nothing special about it, very few windows and some over grown trees in the parking lot. I didn't have high hopes. When entering into the restaurant the appearance of the bar and dining area was actually decent. Wood floors, wooden tables and a nice atmosphere at the bar. There was a bit of a cleaning supply/bar smell when you first walk in. Again I wasn't expecting much. The kids ordered a small Caesar salad and pasta with butter as their main dish. My husband and I both ordered the marinated grilled chicken with vegetables and potato. A fresh hot loaf of bread with butter was placed on the table right away. It was definitely out of the oven hot and delicious. The kids devoured most of it and we ordered a second one. The waitress, Grace was very attentive and ensured we had everything we needed for the table. I have to say the service was excellent as expressed on other reviews. Definitely a plus with kids! Our kids devoured the Caesar salad. It had fresh lettuce, shredded cheese, croutons and well mixed in dressing. They loved it! When our main dishes arrived, it looked promising, two pieces of nicely grilled chicken on the dish. When I tasted it, I was impressed! It was delicious! Perfectly grilled, not rubbery, and very tasty. The meal came with a side sauce of our liking. I chose the lemon butter on recommendation of the waitress. Perfectly paired! The kids pasta and butter was buccatini and was nice and hot, with a side of potato chip fries. Very good and very unique. They ate it all! Overall, ChopHouse Grille exceeded my expectations. While it isn't on the same level as a special occasion restaurant like the Coast Guard House, it offers solid food, excellent service, and a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. We never felt out of place dining with our kids, and the staff made the experience easy and enjoyable. I would definitely return to try one of their steaks next time. If you're looking for a comfortable spot for a family dinner with consistently good food and service, I'd happily recommend giving it a try.

Nothing fancy inside or out, but who cares when the food served and service provided are outstanding. FIVE Stars does not fairly measure our level of satisfaction with our dining experience from food to service to cost. Warm crusty bread loaf with EVVO Dip was brought to table right away. The dip was the most flavorful I have had in a restaurant. Orders included: Blue Mussels Appetizer in a Gorgonzola broth with onions, a special. (Large quantity $13.) Amazing! Seafood Risotto -- Outstanding! Perfectly cooked rice base with lobster, scallops and shrimp. Seasoned skillfully. Filet Mignon -- with a blue cheese sauce was tender and flavorful. Lazyman Lobster -- Seafood stuffed (1 1/4 pound) was my selection. Surprised the crumb topping enhanced the rich buttery seafood. I usually toss it aside. Would order again! (Only $34.99) The sides were also very good: Smashed garlic mashed Homemade warm golden hued Kettle Chips Al dente Broccoli Medley of seasonal vegetables Only one exception: A side order of French Fries was not appetizing. It tasted greasy and was over salted. Fries were on thin side and stuck together. Overall, food exceeded our expectations, and we are eager to return. We are interested in trying one or more of their FOUR Calamari Apps. I am intrigued by the Thai style one with a peanut sauce. They have a Lounge Menu and a Dining Room menu with creative seafood and steak options. We believe Mariners is far superior to nearby George's Restaurant in Galilee in food prep, service, and cost.

We literally had to point it out on the menu so she could copy it to her order pad. The wine pour was generous. We were served a complimentary loaf of bread warm from the oven with an olive oil dip. Delicious! For our mains, I ordered the broiled sea scallops ($26), one of their nightly specials. I chose rice as one of my sides & asked if they could steam some broccoli for the other, which they did. My friend ordered the Garlic Parmesan Mushroom Chicken ($20) with angel hair pasta. Both were large servings & very good. We ordered a piece of their chocolate cake to share for dessert, which the restaurant generously comped as it was my friend's birthday. The entire bill came to just under $72 before tip. Unfortunately, there is a 3.5% upcharge if you use a credit card, a practice I truly dislike.
