Nice addition to the breakfast spots in South County Pros - place is very cute and clean. All the menu items are fresh. You can tell they dont use much of any frozen foods. Good little spot with a counter to sit at Con - service. They probably need one more person in the front to help out. Was only 2 waitresses with no host or bus person. Didnt get coffee refills. I wouldnt blame the servers cause they seemed so busy. But this was my only complaint. Ill be back again read more

I'm not usually a reviewer or complainer, but left without an order being taken. Being short staffed is no longer an excuse for businesses and puts too much pressure on the workers they do have. We are paying more bc of inflation but being treated worse. Edit: would typically give a business a second try but as you can see the owner is counting minutes on her cameras rather than being in store to help her staff. Breakfast was good The resaturant was very quaint I never write a review but this deserves one,, place had only two server's one did 90% of the work while the other performed one task at a time at a very easy pace,,,,Owner was not happy and I witness him letting the server who was doing the majarity of the work know it,,, the dishwasher also had a little attitude,, handed the server ,,(I won't mention her name because I don't want to get anyone in any trouble ... Some of the worst and rudest service I've seen in ages. We got there and they refused to seat multiple parties, despite having a ton of open space. When we were finally seated, it took forever for someone to take our order. While taking the order, it felt difficult to even maintain the waitress' attention. She would also ask questions without giving any options, even when I asked her what they have available. Once the food was finally ready, multiple items were forgotten, and multiple incorrect ones arrived, but they were essentially tossed on the table by the waitresses, followed by the waitresses swiftly leaving before we could tell them we did not order the food. Even after returning the food, we were charged for it. We asked them to take multiple things off that we did not get. The owner came over and was extremely condescending, gave an answer that made no sense, and ignored the other item completely, refusing to take either off the receipt. He did this despite the fact that we did not order or eat them, and they were given back to the kitchen as soon as we flagged someone down. AVOID at all costs if you plan to be dining in. EDIT: As you can see, they are just denying the situation. They claim to "bend over backwards" for customers, but my experience was quite the opposite, which many other reviewers seem to agree with. NEW OWNERS GONE BAD Used to love this place. there are new owners, and I am not impressed AT ALL. TERRIBLE. Service was extremely slow even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. All of our food came out at different times, including one meal where the sandwich came out before the fries. A pancake ordered never came out, even after asking for it again. A grilled cheese sandwichs cheese wasn't melted AT ALL and bacon was let off the sandwich. Burger was beyond over cooked after being asked for it to be cooked medium. the scrambled eggs looked like they went through the blender. was there for 50 min waiting and didn't end up eating anything at all. Best breakfast place in a 20 mile radius. Everything is made in house. The little corner cafe on the outside gives a generic impression, don't let that fool you. Inside the staff is friendly, the seats are warm, it's cozy and clean. They have specialty coffee drinks and their regular coffee is delicious, even black. I ordered a Block Island wrap for lunch. The chef used a burrito wrap, not flexible, instead of a salad wrap and all of the contents slid out of it on to my plate and through the holes of the bistro table staining my pants. The lettuce, peppers, onion, and mushroom was exceedingly drenched with a sugary balsamic. The store bought wrap had a layer of toasted on cheddar cheese, immovable, which is a marvel in oneself. If only the vegetables could stayed in the wrap. I just spooned out the vegetables and had three of the onion rings that was ridiculously stacked on half of the plate. I ordered a vegetable sandwich but low and behold a vegan can't even have a good lunch. I consumed $2.00 worth of vegetables for $12. :( read more

I really enjoyed their food from breakfast plates with pancakes or omelettes, everything was really delicious plus filling. The atmosphere is very cozy which makes you feel at home while having a good meal. The location is not too helpful but for those who discover and enjoy eating there usually turn into returning customers. As a local down in south county, Rachel's I has always been on my list of restaurants to try. Today, I needed some good comfort food and let me tell you, I was not disappointed. I got the homemade cornbeef hash Benny and a whole order of Portuguese sweet bread French toast ( I don't usually like French toast, but my waitress recommended so I decided to go for it). She was right!! So good! All I can say is this is my new favorite breakfast food around town. I am sad I only just discovered it, but so happy I did! If I could I would give this ten zeros... really. Overhyped food served arctic cold along with the blandest flavor ever imaginable. Especially when you hear the waitresses being constantly yelled at by the boss... an abusive atmosphere it seems like. Remember, if your reading this - the customers can pick up on that (we're smarter than you think) and we don't like to finance any state of work related abuse especially if your food is subpar... I live in the area and haven't gotten to experience this place after hearing good things. We (party of 4) were greeted and told to wait about 20 minutes for a table. After the 20 minutes passed i asked if we could sit at the counter (which was empty) we were told no and then we're told we couldn't wait inside by the door because we were a fire hazard. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place near our hotel to grab breakfast before we headed back home. I am SO glad we came across this place. The place is very clean, good vibes, and the staff are all VERY nice, always attentive and personable. The food was SO GOOD! the omelettes were good but the nutella stuffed french toast was AMAZING! you can added banana or strawberries to it (we went with banana) and it was really good. First time in today with my wife. Wow! What a great menu with so many options to choose from. I asked for well done bacon and I must say it was AMAZING. For me I guess it's the little things that matter. LOL! The team was working hard to make everyone happy. Being in the situation we are all in with restaurants being short staffed you need to go in knowing that the servers, managers and cooks are working hard to stay afloat to be able to give everyone an option to eat out and sometimes I don't think anyone remembers the way things got at there worst. take care of your servers and tip starting at 20% or higher as they are trying to make a living to make YOU happy. It's very unfortunate that this place is so nice but cares little about customers satisfaction. I went then on a Friday morning expecting it to be busy and knowing they are short staffed expexting a wait time. But was not expecting to wait 25 minutes to just sit down with open seats inside. They sat me outside at a table with a broken umbrella. I opened it and it had came down and hit me in the head. The ladies had very little concerns that I had just gotten smacked in the head by there umbrella. Very unfortunate food is is just ok and people are quiet rude. read more
