After visiting the Nintendo Store last trip to the city I passed by Radio City Pizza on my walk back to our hotel and decided to grab a slice.Tho cozy, this joint offers great slices although limited seating. Located off W. 49th St. Radio City Pizza has plenty of windows, a compact counter, and lots of pizza options. I just went with a veggie slice but I suggest checking out their various options as their offerings were quite robust. After a few mins wait my slice was ready and I made my way upstairs to a surprisingly tight/tiny sitting area. I don't know what I was expecting but I was surprised as I got up there. Not a complaint, just tapering expectations. I found a spot at a standing counter and was able to enjoy my hot, fresh, and delish slice of Veggie Pizza. Service was fine. Nothing over the top or stand out but not a bad experience either. Staff was friendly as I entered, threw my slice in the oven once I ordered, and packed up my pizza nicely. Overall I had a quick and pleasant experience at Radio City Pizza and can easily see myself swinging by for another slice when in the area. read more

My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite on a whim before our Great Big Game Show activity in Times Square. I had a white slice with pepperoni (was a pie already made) and hubby had a pepperoni and onion slice. My pizza was thin, crispy, flavorful, and delicious. When I first walked in, the first thing I noticed was how small and cozy the space was--actually a nice surprise. Fresh pizza was being brought out just as I arrived, so my timing was perfect. They had a good variety of options to choose from, and the location itself was ideal, nestled near several attractions and other activity spots. Overall, the place was in a great area for a quick stop. The staff member I interacted with was polite and quick to respond whenever I had a question. The upstairs seating area was limited, with about 8 or 9 tables that each fit two people, which is a bonus compared to other pizza places in New York where seating can be scarce. I ordered a slice of pepperoni, a Sicilian, and a bacon chicken ranch. I was pleasantly surprised by the bacon chicken ranch pizza; they added the ranch dressing after the pizza had cooled slightly, so it wasn't hot, and the flavors were well-balanced. The Sicilian slice was cooked perfectly with a chewy base and a slight crunch. However, it was lacking a bit in flavor--more sauce and a few extra pepperonis would have taken it to the next level. Overall, the pizzas were decent. They weren't mind-blowing, but they weren't disappointing either. A bit more sauce, oregano, and seasoning could really elevate this spot. I'd recommend this place for a quick bite or a casual lunch. For a hearty dinner, though, it might not be the best choice unless you have other plans lined up for the night. This was a classic New York style pizza spot! Buy by the slice or by the pie, you have a number of flavors to choose from. Some may consider this heresy, but I was excited to try a slice of Hawaiian, sadly they were out. I opted for the pepperoni, and unfortunately I was given the smallest slice despite the rest being quite a bit larger. For having just finished a 10 mile run, that wasn't a great feeling as my eyes were fixated on the huge slices next to it, but may have just been luck of the draw. The pizza quality itself was good, the crust was very thin, airy, & crispy. Every bite had a satisfying crunch while still holding the structural integrity of the slice. The sauce was solid, but overshadowed by the thick layer of cheese and great pepperoni. This place is definitely on the thinner, crispier side & lighter on sauce, but they execute quite well for that specific style & balance of pizza. Then a coworker recommended this spot so I took a stroll to Radio City Pizza. (Sounds touristy but nothing like it...) First impression: "omg I don't belong here"... small space, nothing fancy, 2nd level for seating, 2 man operation, patrons are mostly Construction guys on the job, and a few messenger types, and a few suits... then there's me, Bright Pink Coat... well, I have to eat too! The guys are nice, they let me pick my pizzas first, I got the Margherita and Sicilian... (tell them if you want it really hot so the cheese is bubbling!) my mistake - my darn eyes were bigger than my stomach! Doh! The Margherita was so good! Fresh chopped tomatoes and basil and crushed garlic... mmm... still salivating... I could eat like 4 of these!! #nojudgementplease The Sicilian... was like a mini personal pie! They had lots more so it's a good idea to come after they've been opened vs coming right when they opened. Order downstairs with nice eating area and bathroom upstairs. Pizza was satisfactory. Garlic knots is highly recommended for those who prefer good garlic punch which makes it too spicy for the kids. I definitely would go back for the knots. Came from out of town so I had to try some New York style pizza - was not disappointed! A lot of options with different types of pizza and sizes (by the slice, half, full). They didn't have chicken parm made which was a bummer but I went with pepperoni and Parmesan which was great! Each slice is 4.50 but if you get 2 slices you get a free can of pop or water bottle! They have a small eating area upstairs which overlooks the main ordering area down below. They also have a bathroom for customers. I had the pleasure of visiting Radio City Pizza. I got 2 slices of pizza, one plain and one pepperoni. They were really tasty. I just moved to New York and I expected good pizza and had tried other establishments and was disappointed in the quality. So I was pleasantly surprised to find this gem tucked in next to a hotel of the same name very close to Time Square. If you're ever in the area, it's worth a stop. The workers here are friendly and helpful as well. The various casseroles are delicious! Between the pizza, chicken or pepperoni rolls, stromboli, or even the beef patties, I have a hard time choosing what to get for lunch. The prices here are typical for Midtown Manhattan - your lunch will cost a pretty penny. For example, two specialty slices and a drink will run you approx $10. A chicken roll is around $8. The line was a little confusing as some people had already ordered, but were waiting near the start of there line for there pizza out the oven. I ordered an American Hot, as did the guy in front of me. I was a bit confused when 2 minutes later, I was told my pizza was ready. The guy in front, didn't get his, so not sure if it's because his group was larger, so there's was all cooking together. What I got wasn't really an American Hot, aka there was no chilli, it was more sausage with pepperoni. Pizza was pretty good, but my slice went cold very quickly, so not sure it had been in the oven long enough. Their location very close to 7th avenue made this an easy detour for a quick lunch. I was happy to see a nice selection of speciality slices and only a few people in line around 11:15am on a weekday. I ended up getting a couple of plain cheese slices that hit the spot nicely. Good-sized slices, nice crisp crust and above average flavor. It was slightly greasier than I would have preferred, but for two slices and a drink under $7 this close to the action, it's hard to beat!
