Wow wow wow my wife kept bragging about this place so I thought I would give it a try. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and I would dare say that the food was great! So, why the two stars? Let me tell you. I am highly allergic to dairy even a teaspoon will jack me up. When I ordered I asked if they had any vegan options and they said yes " anything that is on the menu that has VO next to it can be made vegan" so I said great let me have the panini. Little did I know that even though I asked them if they had vegan in options and even after they said everything that says VO next to it can be made that way I guess I was supposed to say let me have the Panini and make it vegan which doesn't make sense to me since I kept asking about vegan options. The next thing I know I'm enjoying my sandwich and after eating half I thought to myself wow this is really good this vegan cheese doesn't even taste like vegan cheese. So I went back and asked what kind of cheese are they using because it tasted really good she said oh my God we gave you regular cheese. So I had to rush home take medication and now I'm laying here in pain. Would I recommend this place I guess if you're not vegan And if you are make sure you repeat yourself 10 to 15 times or else you might not get what you think you're getting. read more

RS Cafe is perfectly located with a beautiful set-up of outdoor dining. European music is the perfect backdrop to enjoy a cup of coffee or specialty coffee and a treat. Lavazza Cafe is on drip which is delicious. I was hoping to find a selection of other coffee roast maybe with the name like Rail Side I managed roasts from around the country. My only complaint was that there weren't a lot of meat choices for sandwiches. However, looking at the current menu they have addressed that. The Caprese sandwich I had was pretty good. Good enough that I will go back and try something else now that the menu is more to my liking.. We need more small business restaurants like this one in San Dimas. These places used to seem like they cost a lot. But considering that fast food now costs about the same, it's a no-brainer to go with the quality of local places like Rail Side. I was in town and needed a pick me up. Found this place by accident. We tried their panini's and found they were incredible. The owners -were there and gave us recommendations on what to do afterwards. The fact that they loved the same team as we do, helps get them a 5.5 if possible. The next day we went back and i guess the owners were in vegas sitting in a pool but the staff went out of their way to make us feel like they were owners. The wake up #1 sandwich was made of egg and havarti cheese with the choice of sausage or prosciutto. I ordered the sausage. The sandwich came out piping hot on a freshly toasted croissant. The sandwich was delicious and the croissant was mmmmazing! Flaky, buttery goodness that meshed perfectly with the melted havarti (similar to mozzarella) cheese, sausage and egg. If you're in the mood for something quick and delicious & healthy , but try this place out The only thing I think could change would be the pricing. This adorable cafe was a Golden Yelp Find! I happened to be in the area with no idea where to eat so I hopped onto Yelp and voila! This cafe sits in a quaint, quiet neighborhood in San Dimas. The ambiance is serene and completely enjoyable. Most of the seating is outside, but they have blankets available that you can use if it's too chilly. There are toys for children throughout the seating area as well as books that you can borrow to read if you so desire. I thought it was also cute that they have some plants and a little water can that kids can take care of. It's a dog-friendly place; there's a water station in the patio area as well. And if all of that wasn't reason enough to give this gem all the stars, the staff are WONDERFUL, the food is SUPER tasty, and the background music they play is LOVELY! I was super excited to find out it's a Pandora channel and not XM or Sirius. I now have it on my Shuffle for my car!! I hope that I find myself in the area again sometime in the near future. Location is great- off of San Dimas Ave and Arrow Hwy located in a small, quaint plaza with maybe 15 parking spots or so. Clean environment and homey feel. There are a few tables/chairs to dine and chat. It's easy to tell that this place is not a big franchise-place and has the more at-home feel, which is friendly and just so awesome. He got the turkey panini and I got the chicken caprese. I also had the green tea latte ice blended drink. The turkey panini was great..just enough sauce and fresh overall. Really happy about this place. The food was excellent and my chai tea was the best chai tea I have ever had. I ordered a Wake Up #1. It had sausage, an egg, and cheese on a croissant. It looked like the croissant had been pressed in one of those panini grills. It was dynamite. This is a nice place. We came on the 4th of July around noon and it was CRAZY because a few city parades had just ended and Rail Side is one if the few places open on the holiday. With that said, service was slow BUT they are a very small business and just don't have the infrastructure to handle that many people at once so I can't knock them. The owner was very nice and came out with free scone scone samples for all those customers still waiting for food. The food was good and not too pricey. Visited Rail Side for the first time yesterday and I have to say it was a wonderful experience. The owner and his mom are incredibly kind people who go the extra mile for their customers. The ambience of the outside patio is excellent, complete with lush trees and soothing instrumental music. The Turkey panini I ordered was excellent, as was the cold brew. Nice neighborhood cafe. Its quietly located by some condos. I arrived at 1130am on a Friday after hiking with my fur bae. I easily found parking in their small parking lot. There were plenty of umbrellas, shade and seats outside to sit with my pup. The inside is small. I like that their menu is simple and not overwhelming. Basically, sandwiches are served as well as espresso and coffee drinks. There is a window display of baked goods. I wouldn't really designate this establishment as a "breakfast and brunch" place. If you are looking for one of those, check out butter cafe or twisted sage. This is more of a quick non-fast food lunch spot. It closes in the afternoon everyday. Oh and the service is great! I was checked on a couple of times and my table was promptly cleared. I wouldn't mind coming back here after another hike. I'm not sure how busy this place gets on the weekends. read more

Wowie, definitely will be back their bagels are the bomb! There's little indoor seating, there's more outside under the umbrellas which is great when there's a cool breeze. They offer a free pastry when you check in too! The London bagel was unexpectedly delicious. It had cream cheese, pesto sauce, and roast beef on a seeded bagel.
