Fresh baked daily, little discs of delight! Thank you Rainbow Donuts for always providing the tastiest breakfast treats. I swing by here sometimes on my way to work if I want to treat my team to something nice. They're an affordable luxury! Rainbow Donuts is clean inside and the service is always prompt and friendly.

I'm new to AZ and leaving my hometown was TOUGH as heck because I knew I was going to leave my favorite donut shop. Every state I go, I compare other donut shops to my first donut shop love. I'm so happy to say this hits closest to home. I typically order the same thing.. a plain chocolate donut and the only thing I seek in every donut is the right amount of fluffiness. This hits home.

Wonderful donuts. Our favorite traditional type of donuts in AZ. The split cream filled is bomb but you have to get there early as they make limited quantities and sells out by 8!

The best donuts in town. Rainbow supplies our donut table on Sundays. We go through all 23 dozen each week.

Gotta love these owner on premises places--what a sweet woman who waited on me and gave me an apple-filled bear claw, which had nice fresh doughiness, but the filling tasted more like pie filling from a can, but I liked the crumbly bit topping over the too-sticky glazes most places always put on bear claws. This one actually looked more like a claw too with discernible appendages that were fun to pull off one by one for ease of eating. Unfortunately, I wanted to try some of the more unique donuts I'd read about, esp. the maple-bacon, but they were all out by the time I arrived at 11:00 am.m so my choices had to be from the more usual items. Prices best if you order more, so would be best to plan to share.

I have been to this location a few times. The first time I tried rainbow donuts was because I heard so many good things about this place. When I looked at the pictures on yelp, I wasn't impressed but when I tried them, they were reallllly good! Rainbow donuts is probably my favorite donut place in Phoenix area. I loved grabbing a few dozens to share with my coworkers at work. :) cannot wait to visit again!!

It smells like death when you walk in. It's some funk smell!!!!! Rainbow donut would get 5 stars if they didn't smell gross. We came into to get some donuts at 1pm They don't have much left SOOO I'm going to assume that's a great sign right? The donuts here are surprisingly pretty good.

I was waiting for Zia Records to open in this plaza when I noticed Lucky Donuts in the corner and I just had to come in and get a couple for breakfast. This shop is simple enough where you enter, see a ton of donuts, a case full of drinks, and some other random stuff, but mostly I'm just here for the donuts. The employee working was super freaking friendly and ended up giving me a free donut because I had to wait for literally one minute for her to come up, which is 100% absolutely not a problem at all, but it was super sweet of her anyway. I ended up ordering a glaze crawler and a chocolate frosted donut as well, and I think the free one was maple glazed if I'm not mistaken. All three of the donuts were top notch delicious and I can't think of a single non positive thing to say. The shop itself looked clean and well-kept, which is always a good start. The employee behind the counter was a bit standoffish, not rude or anything, just not super warm. but hey, maybe it was a long day, so I didn't take it personally. I picked up an assorted half dozen to try a little bit of everything. That's where things got a little mixed. About half the donuts were great, soft, fresh, and hit that perfect sweet spot. The other half? Pretty dry and tasted a bit like leftovers from the day before (or maybe even the day before that). So, I'm on the fence. If I come back, I'll probably stick with the classics instead of the "fun" or seasonal ones, and maybe swing by earlier in the morning when everything's freshly made. I wouldn't cross this place off completely. Just might need to catch them at their best time of day.

We had the place to ourselves and I perused their display case. They had some interesting flavors and I only wanted 3, but their menu prices reflected 6 or 12 ($18 and $30 respectively). I asked if 3 would be $9, and the employee said yes. I chose their ube, Vietnamese coffee, and black sesame with raspberry. Other flavors included gochujang caramel, almond joy, churro, and blueberry crumble. It was hard choosing flavors cuz they all sounded great. I was rung up for 3 single donuts ($3.50 ea) and asked if that was correct. The employee said yes, as only the half dozen and dozen are discounted. I was tempted to get another 3 donuts but decided against it. We sampled the donuts after finishing our early dinner and the texture was spot on: light, chewy, and delicious. They're so fun and easy to eat too; you can pick off the balls and share them (if you want). Each of the toppings should differentiate the tastes, since the donut base is the same, but honestly none of them had strong flavors which was disappointing. The black sesame seeds did were the most flavorful, but not all of the balls had the seeds on them. Since I enjoy these donuts so much, I'd come back again, although not too often due to the price point.
