Went in for fleas. And this was the "treatment plan". TWO different types of allergy meds (either one would suffice). Antibiotic injection. An anti anxiety collar!? Fecal/heart worm tests are pretty standard, I get it but no thanks. Dr P was also extremely pretentious and quite abrasive, didn't bother to ask me what I actually wanted and he dominated the conversation/appointment. This estimate, to me, proves they wanted my money. Not actually caring about my dog or what I actually wanted- I don't think he (dr) even bothered to ask. He just wanted to bark his opinions at me. The staff at Rainbow do an amazing job of taking care of my Sr. dog, Steeler. He had to have two surgeries and each time was handled with love and care. I really like the vet, he is through and direct. Steeler is recovering nicely and is back to acting like a puppy again. The facility is welcoming and clean, cute pictures of their patients displayed throughout!! 3 stars because we got in fairly quickly. 3 stars because I walked out broke and not a ton of answers. Brought in one of my dogs and one of my cats. I felt like the doctor was irritated and bored and didn't seem to care much. I asked questions I got laughed at. My son brought our other dog the day before and was treated the same way. No information was volunteered by the doctor we had to ask about everything Sometimes I can be a bit sensitive but my 13 yr old daughter felt the same by how we were treated. Seems to be new staff all around and we won't be returning. 3 animals & over $2000 later , to be told they are overweight and told I need to spend more money. Everyone at this clinics is great! I'd called beforehand to place the order, (common sense!) however when I came in the office it was very busy so I thought I'd be waiting awhile. But I was pleasantly surprised when one of the staff immediately got the food and rang me up-It was an easy/quick transaction so it didn't disturb any customers and all was done with appreciation for my business. I recently adopted a puppy from Burbank Animal Shelter and thought I would go to the veterinarian that performed his neutering while he was at the shelter. The staff there remembered him and were so kind. My other dog that I had for 7 years recently passed right before this and the staff were so patient and sweet with me while I got to talk about my sweet girl. The veterinarian that did my little man's check up was very patient and explained everything to me so I know what to expect with a puppy and what insurance and medications are recommended. I was kind of hesitant about coming here, but my daughter's dog was not liking right and vomiting and they were the closest very still open. The lady on the phone was super friendly. I let her know we were on our way. We made it there just before closing but they stayed and saw our "MILEY". The office is clean and welcoming for pets. We filled out paperwork and were then walked to the first room. The vets were very friendly. They looked over her, took vitals, temperature and went over our concerns. They gave us several payment options and treatments. After going over possible ailments and treatments, we opted for not breaking the bank but giving her the best chance. They let us know we could apply for CARE CREDIT right there for interest free payment plans. Which we did while she was being treated and were approved. They gave us clear medical instructions when we left and we followed up the following day. Miley is doing great and is back to her fun and energetic self. so disappointed to write this review but spent thousands for a misdiagnosis of my dog. on top of that it can be very hard to reach the place. on my last appointment I specifically requested a vet and was told when I arrived that their schedule had changed. what? additionally, after waiting an hour to be seen the vet was still with another patient even though I scheduled to be the first appointment of the day. I understand emergencies happen but I was never informed of when we would be seen and just left the facility. I think the front office understood. sorry but we won't be back. read more

The clinic itself is very clean and the receptionist are very sweet and helpful. I thought because of the area it was going to be out of my price range but the cost was reasonable. Very welcoming, and the vet is very respectful and asked many questions (which is good). They were the only ones able to accommodate my kitten after I adopted her. Hi i'm writing this review because my experience at this vet clinic was horrific and now i see i should have looked at the reviews bc i wish i had gotten my pups to a different place sooner... I was told about this place by my aunt (45yrs) who did research on vet clinics in my area since she had more experience than me (20yrs old) with what to look for and they had a more affordable visit fee. when i first went with my first new puppy ,Bailey, i got this lovely young woman who was a doctor there that examined her and was super transparent an nice and answered all of my questions... and then i came in a little while later with me and my moms rescue pup marley and my pup bailey( my mom was not present) and got an older woman... she loved bailey and marley so i thought she was going to be nice but she went on to give us medicine after medicine to "help" with the Giardia that Marley had and they kept not working and we kept going back to get more medicine and was more "Mandatory vaccinations" after the initial ones that i new were The core vaccines at 6-, 12-, and 16 weeks old... the DHLPP (distemper, hepatitis, leptospirosis, parvo, and parainfluenza) and rabies vaccination, but was denied twice and had to pay each of those visit fees because the older female doctor didn't want to do the vaccinations yet due to the redness in marley's eyes...they also wanted to do a fecal every time we came in which they charged $105 each for even if we new nothing had changed ( i would call my mom when i was confused as to why they were necessary and we declined a few). Over all the older female doctor would go around my questions and was very blatantly judgmental and tbh rude and when i asked about the eye stains that we are constantly wiping she ignored me and talked about other things and when i asked if it was curable i was told no and given her eye drops for her red eyes...and when my mom would go on the days that i couldn't and she got the younger lady she would tell us "i don't know why she gave you that medicine that wouldn't have been my first line of defense." referring to the older woman, however neither worked. At a point we got fed up and cancelled their appointments till we could get a second opinion... we have since taken them to our vet for our other cat who at the time wasn't taking new patients and they charge $50 for a fecal (it's not even a low cost clinic), they have prescribed eye medication that have helped the stains and our pups are happy and healthy thanks to Toluca Pet Hospital". ps. (the staff at the front desk were lovely every visit) however we called to get our records sent over to the new veterinary a week before their first appointment and was told no problem then when we got to our appointment they had never sent it over and we had to call multiple times and hung up on twice after being placed on hold to finally get their paperwork sent over. read more

And no, I told EVERYONE that the voucher I had was $50 so if there was a misunderstanding, it was from your office, and again, I should have been refunded. And yes, the breed is special but $787 for each dog to get neutered is ridiculous and the dogs were crying that were boarded there, made the visit harder for my puppies who were there for the first time and will never be coming back. I would have respected you more if you called to discuss with me instead of calling and hanging up. read more

They may take really good care of the animals, but their front desk procedures make it hard on the humans! Last time I took my dog to the vets, I was late and they turned me away. This time I take the dog to get her fixed and they didn't share the pre-op instructions - so have ti reschedule. My dogs are really healthy, but I always take them to Rainbow for grooming. My mini dachshund has black claws and I'm always afraid to trim them myself. The groomer does a wonderful job with her and my long hair dachshund. He can become a matted mess, but they do a beautiful job in bathing and trimming him up. And they always put a cute scarf on him! read more

I've been coming here for the entirety of my almost 12 y/o dog. She is treated very well there and we keep coming back. The staff are exceptionally compassionate and my baby dog feels it. If your looking for a personable vet. This is not it. My senior dog got a finger shoved in his mouth & then I was immediately offered prescription medication that had nothing to do what I was in for (dental). I'm new to the area and didn't research enough untlil after I was rudley talked to (my mistake) by the vet. He talks over you doesn't explain ANYTHING of what's to be done. My dog needed updated vaccinactions. (sadly should've have left after the bad vibes) but if he were to go anywhere else I needed updated vaccination) I heard him yell like no other, can't even imagine how they tried to hold him down) just my overthinking tho but WHO NKOWS with a vet so cold, the blood drawn site is HUGE the helper didn't even explain what or where anything happened just tossed me my pup back? Like come on not even a "you'll notice some etc etc??. I just wanted to get my SENIOR dog help, not stress him with repeated vet visits biggest mistake. Trust your instinct) The helper was a nice young lady but offered no explanation if the vet was nice or not she's to new(makes me wonder of turn over rate). They handed me my dog each time with no updates no care and no personable vibes. Very sad to see from a vet staff. Reception is nice but don't be fooled. With lobby coffee and cute lil Polaroid pictures on the wall. They don't treat dogs as a family member just a way to upsell medication. Will continue my search in the Burbank area for a decent personable actual pet loving staff and doctor. if not id rather drive an hour each time for my old vet clinic who LOVE THERE PATIENTS. (also for the she gays & theys) dude literally called me up to update me on blood results and wanted me to come in for antibiotics, wasn't even gonna go back but was trying to be nice and said "my partner may be able to go in if we decide to go into" and he said "no that's not necessary don't send him in, you just need to come in" like sir? I just said I work and I'll think about it? wouldn't any vet staff be ok with any member of the family coming in and out?! The veterinary is a nice friendly guy, so is the staff. But he did not help my dog at all!! My dog was having itchy eyes and of course from scratching he hurt himself on one eye. But, the vet did not give me anything to stop the itch. Instead he gave me eye drops for the small wound he had in one eye but hello?!? What about the other eye?!? His helper CLUELESS on what she is doing and when I asked her questions she stood there with a blank stare and didn't know how to answer my questions. Also lazy to correct her own errors on paperwork. I wouldn't recommend this place, I took my pet somewhere else and he is doing so much better problem fixed right away. The people are nice and efficient. My dog suffered a dog bite and we were able to get in fairly quickly. I do feel that the prices can be a bit extreme and some items a bit unnecessary but maybe that is how all the vets are. Will definitely come back though! read more
