I reached out to speak with a manager regarding an unfortunate experience where my partner and I were stereotyped by our server Ted. Despite spending $300 on dinner last week, we received lousy service and meals that seemed to be microwaved. It's disheartening not to have received a follow-up call yet. Save yourself the disappointment of wasted time, money, and quality by steering clear of Raindancer. Instead, I recommend supporting Okeechobee Steakhouse just down the street. The atmosphere is beyond the usual, "top notch" steakhouse look of most I've been to in the last 20 years or so ... Raindancer is not only elegant and upscale, there is a charm that Raindancer has that almost all others have lost and that is a feeling that you've actually gone back in time to IMO, a BETTER time (circa 1950's-1960's). CLEAN ... the place is also extremely clean I pay great attention to that and it shines that way. The service was OUTSTANDING! From the friendly and very talented barmaid Janice who made me an incredible espresso martini to the lovely, thoughtful, extremely professional and SWEET waitress Kathy ... the hostess, the manager ... Everyone was friendly, truly a pleasure and then ... THE FOOD!! I had the blackened swordfish with garlic mashed potatoes and broccoli ... the fish was PERFECT, just enough spice, not overcooked and such a lovely display!The potatoes were delicious as well and the broccoli was steamed to perfection. The dinner included a salad and I chose the Ceasar salad, thin slices of fresh cheese, perfectly dressed, just scrumptious. Dessert was also included and it was heavenly ... it was a big piece of chocolate mousse cake. I couldn't eat it all and Kathy very kindly took my plates and returned with everything wrapped beautifully for me to take home. I LOVE this restaurant and I will be returning there soon and often. Ok, lived in south Florida for over 50 years and never stopped in this joint. Curiosity got the best of me and stopped for a drink. Place is ol' school steak house decor. Dark, lot's of wood and a piano in the bar. Music was Frank and Dean. what you would . Crowd was older but not old and good vibe. I only had a cocktail but did see food being brought out ( lunch/bar bites) everything looked and smelled terric. OK, I was intrigued and returned the next day for lunch. Good lunch menu with prices commensurate with other steak houses. The bartender, Hobie was a young energetic guy who was a good conversationalist and attentive. I opted for the soup du jour, Cream of Spinach. It was fabulous! Pipping hot and not overly creamy, just how I like it. Next I opted for the BLT! WHY? Because the use thick cut maple bacon and were not skimpy with it! Served on cibatta bread and seasoned fries! The last time I had a BLT was maybe 20 years ago. I will be back for this sandwhich!!! Overall,although I only had lunch I'm intrigued enough to come back for dinner. Hobie told me he'd but their steaks up against anyone. Being we were discussing resturants and food, we did have many of the same places as our favorites, so I'll trust his judgment. The waiter was not very friendly, very crude and borderline rude and obnoxious. The escargot pastry served with it was so brittle you could not enjoy the sauce that came with the escargot. It was just butter pretty much. We visited it because we were celebrating and have had fond memories of what Raindancer used to be. We had a party of 10 and the waiter was arguing with the host of the party who himself was a professional chef for 30+years. He insisted the steak was rare when it was absolutely not. Excellent food. Yes; the outside of the restaurant is très ugly, but the food is delicious and the service is of the best quality. We tried the omelette amd the 2 filet mignons from the lunch menu. The omelette was surprising because they OUTDID every breakfast restaurant I have been to in the last year. They garnished my omelette with micro greens and it cane with a side of yummy french fries and Texas-suzzed toast. They listened when I said "extra cheese". The petit filets were perfectly cooked medium-well and the au poivre sauce was a clear hit. So in summation, it is a must visit spot. After years of using the same "steakhouse" I decided to make a change. I host large company events and Nicky and the crew at Raindancer Steakhouse did not disappoint. The room was set and ready for us. They had room for us to grow, which we did, and the staff was attentive, quick, and ready for whatever came their way. I had guests show up late, 25 minutes late, and they were seated quickly, quietly, and their orders were taken respectfully as the host speaker was in the middle of his presentation. I had one small issue... I was not in attendance personally and did not get to enjoy the meals presented. My clients and company were happy and taken care of. Went to rain dancer the other night with three friends first of all the manager was rude, and incapable of communicating with us. My stake was terrible and smelled rancid. Manager said he could not do anything for me . I have eaten at every steakhouse in this area and never was treated the way I was at Raindancer I highly recommend no one going there. A few of us girls from the office dined for lunch today. I enjoyed the old school and romantic charm the restaurant offers. The host was extremely warm and inviting and we were seated rather quickly. The service along with the timing of the entrée arrivals were both fantastic. One of us opted for the Sirloin Caesar salad and the French onion soup as her starter. She enjoyed both items minus the anchovies that graced her salad, lol. Another selected the salmon which was paired with whipped garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. She offered me a taste of her fish and it was cooked to perfection; delicate on the inside with a light crispy exterior. Both of us opted for the lobster bisque as our starters. I chose he chopped sirloin for my entrée. The bisque was tasty, but a bit too salty in my opinion. My friend found a small piece of shell in hers, but unfortunately not until she tasted it. My chopped sirloin was paired with French fries and these were well done, yum! I ordered my meat medium rare at the suggestion of my server to enjoy the most flavor. He proved to be right and the sirloin was delicious. This entrée is a generous size (14 ounces of meat); therefore, I have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. I would definitely return again and will probably check out their happy hour in the upcoming weeks. I want to at least say something positive about my experience so I will say the atmosphere was very nice and elegant. The rest of the experience was not what we expected. We went to raindancer because it was a special event. It was for my mother's birthday and she never gone there. She was super excited. She ordered a salad and asked if coutons go on that salad. The waiter said rudely "no that salad doesn't come with croutons" and then she asked again to see if he didn't understand what she said and he said "again that salad doesn't come with croutons" she immediately felt that she wasn't able to speak or ask questions for what she wanted for her birthday dinner. My dad ordered a steak and ordered pittsburgh which is charred on the outside and rare in the side. But when he cut the steak it wasn't pittsburgh at all. His steak was well. He waited for the waiter to come around and said that his steak is not what he wanted. The waiter stated "this it pittsburgh. Pittsburgh well" which is not what he ordered at all. My dad then looked very confused and said that's not what I ordered. My dad also felt like he wasn't able to order what he wanted. While paying a high price and having a special moment for my mom this is not what we expected. Also, as it was my mom's birthday we would of liked to order dessert but out waiter just handed us the check as if he wanted us to leave and didnt ask if we wanted dessert. All of us didn't feel comfortable at all and didn't have a great experience with the service nor food. Was very disappointed and will not be coming back and will not be recommending this restaurant to others. The waiter on the check was named Danny. So if you see this waiter please know you will not have a good experience with your meal, spend alot of money and feel like you are wrong. Easily one of the best steaks I've had. I went with the cowboy ribeye (medium) and was amazed and how perfectly it was cooked. Service was on point however the vibe was kind of off, as it was a boys night (bachelor party's first stop) and we kept getting looks from other diners and some of the waiting staff. We were not acting crazy or too loud at all but were the youngest group in there by at least 20/30 years. Very small spot, but food made up for it all. Usually go to Okeechobee steakhouse when down that way but figured we'd check out Raindancers because it had been a few years. I live in Jupiter. I'm a member at 1000 north and have a wine locker at cap grille. Not to say those places are inherently better, but want to give the reader a sense of my customary haunts. Ate at the Raindancer bar with my girlfriend. Thursday night. Not especially crowded. She was in her professional business dress. I was in jeans, bucks, and a polo shirt. Two apps, salads, lamb chops, cowboy ribeye. Dropped around 300$ with tip. So price was reasonable. Two martinis for me (I'm 250 lbs) so I was by no means intoxicated. When leaving I went to look for the men's room. This short maitre'd physically blocked me. Rather than politely helping out touched me and pushed me in the other direction like I was a homeless person he was trying to shove out the door. His behavior was inappropriate. Don't know if it was a cultural issue with him or a bad night for him but can't recall being treated that way since I was a spirited adolescent 40 years in my past. I will say, the bartender Jodi was fun and fantastic. The other bar staff was also great. There seems to be a disconnect between the service oriented bar staff and some of the other personnel. Food was fine but when you get to that level food is almost always good. Service is where the difference comes in. We found it to be a weird, unpleasant conclusion to our evening. But the bread was stale, the steak was sour, and the garlic mashed potatoes were chunky and over powered with big chunks of garlic. I love garlic but.... I owed a coworker lunch, so I took him to Raindancer. They have a pretty decent and affordable lunch menu with plenty to choose from. We both got the chopped steak, I thought it was a bit over done. Adding in the gravy, mushrooms and potates, etc it tasted well. They bring bread and butter to the table. It took awhile to get our food even though the restaurant was pretty empty. When we asked for more bread I feel we were being judged. All in all it was a good visit. read more

I loved this place until tonight. I take my family here and we are a BIG family with lots of friends. The owner is so accommodating and wonderful. Tonight we happened in and a dude named Mario waited on us. He was so absolutely rude we had to leave. I can honestly say I don't think we have ever left a restaurant before we even started a meal. We gave him every opportunity to be nice before we left, but he was unapologetic. I have never seen anything like it. The worst part was we were out because it was not the best night to start with, and my family wanted to be at the ONE restaurant we love on this night. Then this made it far worse than we could have imagined. Mario was by far the rudest server I have ever encountered. I am still shocked. I know he isn't representative of the owner or the restaurant. This could be the best steakhouse in Palm Beach County! Some of the best French Onion soup I have ever had anywhere! If your with a group go for the maple bacon appetizer. It is awesome! We always sit at the bar because Jodi and Janice the two bartenders are the best in Palm Beach county! Their service is excellent and they make great cocktails! The steaks are tender and cooked to perfection. I have never sent one back (can't say that about any other steakhouse anywhere). Go for Pittsburgh rare, hard charred out side and just a bit below medium rare. Fish is excellent ( just wish they would have more variety in the specials).
