During my recent visit, there were six employees on duty, only two dine-in customers, and no cars in the drive-thru. I had placed a large mobile order (eight bags) and asked if I could pick it up through the drive-thru since there was no line. I was told I needed to come inside because it was too many bags. I understand that this may be store policy; however, the interaction felt lacking in consideration. Even if the policy couldn't be adjusted, a bit more kindness or acknowledgment of the inconvenience would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left to manage a large order on my own without assistance. I hope future situations like this can be handled with more empathy and customer care. read more

Food was hot and fresh and even accommodated our order of "naked" chicken strips (without the breading) We went through the drive thru and a very nice young man with tattoos helped and directed us. Today was my first visit to Raising Cane's, in Menifee and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. I ordered two meals and two Arnold Palmer drinks and was handed what appeared to be half empty cups. When I asked about them, a woman working there responded rather rudely and informed me that I needed to fill the cups myself and add the sweetener from the beverage station. The cashier had never explained this to me. Later, I asked for a to-go box and an extra sauce. The same employee told me I would need to pay for the additional sauce. I had no issue paying for it, but her attitude was unnecessarily unfriendly. I also ordered a kids' meal to go. When she handed me the drink cup, I told her I would fill it with lemonade. However, when I went to the beverage station, I could not find lemonade and assumed it was unavailable. A few minutes later, while asking for a bag, I noticed that the lemonade was actually behind the counter. I politely asked if I could exchange the untouched kids' drink for lemonade. She informed me that I would have to pay because it would be considered a refill. I was honestly surprised by that response. My concern is not the additional charges I understand businesses have policies. My concern is the complete lack of customer service displayed throughout the interaction. Unfortunately, I did not get her name, but she was the employee wearing a light purple tie-dye shirt. My visit was around 3:45 pm. This girl would benefit from additional customer service training. A positive attitude and respectful communication go a long way in creating a good customer experience. I used to love eating Raising Cane's it was such novelty and a treat when its location was only known in OC area. Then it was super exciting when we realized they are opening a whole bunch of locations. Of course I'm glad that they also open one here in town, but man, everytime we go, there is always something that went wrong. We ordered the caniac Combo, subbed slaw for another Texas toast Buttered on Both Sides. We even added an extra one too. I heard the guy that took our order yelled it back to the kitchen and someone acknowledged it. But when I received the tray later, the toast were barely buttered on the other side, so disappointing. I also ordered a kids meal since its supposed to come with activity, a prize, and a beverage. Since both order came with a drink, I had asked for the caniac combo beverage to be a lemonade and the kid's beverage to be milk. Unfortunately, they gave us lemonade for both drinks :/ ugh. It just seems like you have to pay for everything here - they're charging for kid's meal just so kids can get a decorated paper bag and some sticker sheet. Ahem some fast food chain gives these out to kids for FREE. just saying. The music here is also extremely loud. I'm not sure whose idea that was - it was to the point where you have to lip read what the staff was saying to you. kind of ridiculous. Also explains why there was a lot of order that was missed/lacking. I did appreciate the older lady manager that checked in on us to make sure we were doing okay. Conveniently located east of the 215 FWY off Newport Rd exit, corner of Antelope Rd and Newport Rd with drive-thru and plenty of parking. We placed a big order online and picked up in-store. Attention to detail needs improvement. Walked in and waited several minutes to be acknowledged. I finally yelled, "Hello" to get their attention and interrupted the employees having conversations. Then all the employees closest to the front counter walked to the back and a different lady approached the counter to take my order. I cancelled and left after no apology was given for their lack of concern to serve a paying customer. I'm guessing everyone is being paid well to stand around and chit chat instead of taking orders and serving customers. The manager should be fired too because he didn't address the issue and hurried to the back of the kitchen with every one else. This was my second time at a Raising Cane's, but my first time since beginning my quest for the best chicken burger. The service was fine, though it was a little noisy at the counter when ordering and I thought the server said the lemonade ( which was quite good) was not an extra charge though it was an up-charge of like $30 cents when I looked on my receipt. Other than that service was good and fast. The seating (I love sitting in a booth) was great and the dining area had a pleasant and clean atmosphere. The chicken burger was good, the chicken was moist, but the breading was thin and not that crunchy. The portion size was good and the raising cane's sauce was also good. The chicken burger could have used some pickles. The fries were typical fries. Overall the food was good, though on the pricier end for fast food chicken. Their chicken finger sandwich, while good will not make it on to my top 5 chicken burger list. read more

Went to Raising Canes for dinner, my kids love their chicken and the ice chips. Today we picked up some food, my daughter opened the cup to eat the ice and it looks like someone's facial hair is in the cup (I'd hate to think it's the alternative ). Called and spoke to someone on the phone and everyone's a manager but can't do anything ab it. I asked for a refund on the kids meal and was offered a free drink instead next time we come in... who would eat here again after this? This was one of my first times trying Canes and it did not disappoint! This place always has a line in the drive thru because it's so good. The bread is so fluffy and has a salty garlic taste. One side is cooked but the other soft. The chicken is so moist. It's breaded but not to the point where it is crunchy which I like. The fries were okay. They were crispy and dry. It definitely needed sauce. Their specialty sauce is very good. It blends well with the chicken and fries and complements the meal. It's like a smokey chiptole mayo with pepper. Super good but I wish they would give it for free. We got one with a meal but I think they charge for each one after. Overall very good experience and we got to sit inside. This place is good once in a while. The menu stays the same but the food is always good. The canes sauce is another story. So tasty and the bread is really good. The line is always long but it's worth it if you don't go here a lot. Where's the chicken? Chicken strips cut in half! Drove thru last night. Ordered the 6 piece Caniac box for me and hubby. Over $20 including tax. The box felt extremely light. Got home, to find 6 half chicken strips and a few French fries. So, while prices increase, the amount of chicken in each Canes box appears to be getting smaller and smaller. They're even cutting back on the fries and even the toast looked smaller! And, that large lemonade? Mostly ice. Photos of the chicken meals at the drive thru are very deceiving. Took the kids last night to this location and was extremely disappointed w the food. As we were eating, my daughter asked me, "dad what's this green thing, a vegetable?". I was so horrified to see a huge green fatty cyst inside one of her chicken strips. We were all traumatized, and still are. There's no way I'll ever eat at this restaurant again. I wish I would've gotten a refund, but I tried to keep it and my reaction hidden from the kids. They kept talking about all night and eventually sort of realized what it was. Finally made it to canes to see what the hype was about was pretty shocked at the quality and taste. The chicken was tiny, dry and flavorless. Thank goodness for the sauce it was the best part of the meal. On the way home I stopped at Dave's hot chicken wanted to have some fun and do a comparison. The fries were limp & soggy, the coleslaw was watery af. And what the eff is that soggy piece of toast for?? There's nothing there that would ever get me to come back. 2 stars because it didn't give me the shits. My husband and I were driving up to Menifee for Thanksgiving, we decided to get late at night so we would miss out on the traffic and he had a brilliant idea of having Raising Cane's! I googled a location and found this once off of Newport Rd, I was really grateful that they were still open because we were a little peckish from our mini road trip. Thankfully they were still opened and their lines weren't line at all. Normally at our location we park and go in but we had our pups so we thought the best way was drive through. We always order extra toast because it's the best and I asked for honey mustard, we heard someone ask for hot sauce so my Bryan did the same. Ummm..game changer!
