    Indonesian Mie Goreng
    Celia S.

Rice was undercooked, Sesame Chicken was dry as well as Mie Goreng noodle dish with shrimp and chicken. Noodles undercooked like it had been precooked and sitting in the kitchen for a while. It had 2 shrimp the rest chicken. The Hot and Sour soup is excellent. Very disappointed as I have enjoyed my past dishes, Hopefully, they'll do better next time.

Tried the Mie Ayum Jumar, the Beef Rendang Sapi and triple delight. The portions were too small for the price. I believe I received 6 pieces of chuck roast for the curry beef and the chicken in the Mie Ayum was was less than 10 small cubes of chicken. I also tried the triple delight which was bland and and semi breaded. Not the worst food ever eaten but I do not believe worth reordering. Definitely not the best. I don't understand the almost 5 stars for the place. Maybe I ordered the wrong items.

This is my go to for quick Chinese food! Been coming here once a week for the lunch special, can't beat it! For $8 you get a starch, protein, soup, and a egg roll! Great deal! Now I haven't had anything else but the beef broccoli with fried rice, so I can't elaborate on the rest of the menu. But the beef broccoli is good! Lots of beef, just the right amount of crunch in the broccoli, not overly seasoned. Good stuff for cheap! The fried rice is meh. The egg rolls are okay, and the won ton soup is okay. But for the price, you can't beat this place!

All the hype in the reviews don't match the experience I got. Lunch Portions are a good deal however I wasn't blown away with the flavors. Service was good. I was in and out within 35 minutes and it was peak lunch hours .

Ok this place has flavor! At first I was worried but after trying this one dish on my lunch, I've realized I need to try other dishes! This place is quite small. Had the lunch special orange chicken, amazing! Very tasty and very yummy! Had really good seasoning. I want to try this place again and this time try more dishes! So I can give a detailed Yelp review. Service was attentive, I was the only one in the restaurant so that was nice.

This is the best Indonesian food in town! It is very authentic and the taste is so Indonesian. The other day, we tried the ramen and also the chinese food dishes and all of them are good. Today review is about their Indonesian food. This time we order the signature chicken dish called Ayam Kalasan. To me, this grilled chicken with sweet and savory sauce is the best. The meat is so tender and pull off very easy from the bone. It comes with a unique sambal as well. Another dish was a street food noodle from Indonesia, Mie Ayam Jamur. This one is a dry noodle with savory chicken and meatball soup. Very unique taste not like any other chinese noodle as this is not too oily and not spicy. I personally add some chilli on it as i like it spicy. On the interior, they have the oriental design that reminds you of Far East Asia. Don't worry about payment, they accept any major cards payment method. So bring your family/friends and order without worry of paying in cash only.

TLDR: Raki packs a punch! This spot has some genuinely awesome offerings that will have you down for the count and on the way to a food coma. Do it. Visit: Weekday (lunch/dinner) Order: Beef Rendang- 8.4/10 This richly complex coconut curry profile with large portions of succulently tender beef is a solid hit. At this point, Raki holds the top spot for the best version of this dish I've tried in Houston. Do yourself a favor and go with flavor. Do it. Pastel- 8.1/10 These were crazy interesting! Think of a cross between an empanada, chicken pot pie, and an egg roll served with a peanut sauce lol. Sounds crazy?! It is. I was pleasantly surprised because I had no idea how this was going to turn out and was glad I gave these a shot. Otak Otak Ikan- 7.7/10 Another unique dish that I'd never heard of and was happy to have tried. Think of an Indonesian tamale, made up of a grilled fish cake wrapped in a banana leaf. Slightly smokey with a springy texture (likened to a fishball) and served with a peanut sauce. Mie Goreng- 8.1/10 An Indonesian staple noodle dish with shrimp, chicken, and a slew of vegetables. The savory noodles are definitely worth a go. Mie Ayam Jamur- 8.1/10 Indonesian noodle dish served with flavorful diced chicken and mushrooms over a crispy wonton-like bowl. It comes with an excellently balanced chicken broth and meatball. Raki is a low key local eatery in Missouri City that is serving up some solid Asian style cuisine. They offer an eclectic mix of Indonesian, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine that in my experience, has been incredibly solid. Granted, I've gone here specifically for the Indonesian fare, I'll go on record to say that everything I've had has been worth it. If you're looking to try something new, I implore you to give Raki a go! You'll be powering through these delicious dishes to the Eye of the Tiger theme in no time. Do it.

UPDATE: The star of…read morethe menu is the boiled fish! Always numbing and tender pieces of fish. The spicy cubes chicken was crisp and tasty. The green beans were as expected. We ordered two of the sweet & sour ribs. Always goes so well with rice. The shrimp were exceptional - big, pump, tender and full of flavor! The only issue was the amount of oil used, even after we asked for less oil. I guess they need lots of oil to make Sichuan dishes. Our son came home after a big Cantonese dinner in Chinatown and tried the shrimp, then the other dishes. He couldn't stop from having a little second meal! Said the dishes were really good. Very heavy handed with salt even though the person in my party that placed the order specifically told the waitress to tone down on the salt. We also asked for no MSG but they turned to sugar instead so the dishes were a little altered beyond recognition. Specifically, I ordered their Szechuan peppercorn beef. As far as I know, this dish is always all savory and there should not be any sweetness. But, when I took the first bite, it was mildly sweet. Weird! Looks like for the rest of the dishes that has sauce, they used the same dark colored sauce; so, they tasted the same. Not a lot of imagination and creativity in their cooking. SERVICE: They are quite attentive in this area. So, I would give them 4 out of 5 stars in this area. VERDICT: Would I return? Probably not. When it comes to Chinese foods, the dishes need to be superior in their taste. You really need to have skills to survive as a Chinese restaurant.

Whether it was weekend dim sum or an evening Canto feast with fresh seafood, I was simply thankful for the option. Now that option is toast since Regal closed last month. Looks can be deceiving. The exterior makes me think of a fitness joint more so than a Cantonese spot. Stepping inside is a complete contrast, with a mix of specialty murals, modern decor with a contemporary edge. There were plenty of large group tables, which made this place perfectly ideal for a feast gathering. Bathrooms were also clean, but this is the only place I've seen that had ice cubes all the urinals. (#1) Dim Sum was solid. The highlights for me were their stir fried XO rice rolls, which had a nice char and some good flavor. The Malay style rolls were also suprrisingly good and I felt strongly about their bbq pork puffs, durian rolls, and glutinous pork dumplings shaped to look like pears. The shrimp dumplings, beef balls, and spare ribs were average at best, I was also very impressed with their overall variety and the fact they had an extremely defined picture menu. The Canto speaking staff was friendly and the parking was plentiful. While the food wasn't all a hit, I do think there was some potential, which was not realized in the end. I am sincerely hoping another Canto spot will emerge in the Land of Sugar. __________ (#1) Yes, really.

That combination is harder to find than you'd think, and they execute both perfectly. The food is consistently excellent. The chicken fried rice deserves special mention--when you order it, be prepared for a massive portion. It comes piled high on the plate in a huge, rounded mound, and it's very good.
