Went to Raley's last night and picked up some items. Shoutout to Dameon as I needed assistance with balloons. He graciously helped me and was more than willing to get it right. He offered to wrapped it in a big bag so that the balloons didn't fly everywhere once I got outside. Which I appreciated so much because it was a bit windy. Great customer service and it was apparent that he received good COVID safety training as he was using his mask correctly and staying a good distance. read more

Its a very bright, colorful, clean and spacious Raley's, only 6 years old. Its only around the corner from my house so I'm usually in the store for quick items. Must say their bakery is the best with good pricing. They always make top-notch cakes, pies, breakfast pastries. Selection may be limited, but what they do bake is done very well. Their Chinese pre-made food always looks dried up and unappealing to me. They also have fresh soup section and deli section that looks very promising. I will have to try one day. Service here is again is top-notch, friendly and willing to help. They have a good produce, meat, dairy, and seafood selection. I do shop here for convience. Bulk grocery shopping, I go to discount groceries stores. read more

The Verdict: "I've died and gone to Raley's heaven." This is a beeeeautiful Raley's...one of the most nicest supermarkets by far in Elk Grove and Sacramento for sure. Everything is always nice, clean and organized. There are what seems to be miles and miles of aisles and the selection for fruit and veges are always top-notch. I really like the warm, cozy decor they use to make such a big place feel so comfortable. The staff is friendly and professional. Also, this Raley's has a pharmacy, bank, a kid's play area and a mini Peet's Coffee Shop! There are also bike racks outside for those that want to spare the air and bike to the market. I'm also excited about the wine tasting events, which I will definitely need to take advantage of when I'm back in EG next time. Would I Recommend It? Yes, I only wish all the Raley's stores looked like this one. read more

I always find what I want/need. The customer service is top notch. Clean! Everything is always where it's supposed to be. Flowers are alive! No wilting ones! Pete's Coffee and Tea is inside. This specific Raley's has the e-cart service, so you can order groceries and get them. No need to get out of your car. Pretty cool! I think it's weird and scary that this is the ONLY grocery store that every single time I buy lettuce and other fresh veggies they are COVERED in little bugs! I know that it is bound to happen every once in a while but this store stays consistent with little bugs on their produce! It has never happened to me a Nugget. I'm basing my rating of one star on my experience today with Amanda. I got in line with arms full of a case of spring water. Amanda then closed the line for the cashier, but in doing so she wrapped the barrier cord around me and then hooked it. I said "oh my gosh, how rude." Then Amanda said, "I thought you could have squeezed in." This just added rudeness on top of rudeness. I quickly paid for the case of water and left. Not sure when/if I'll be back. Awesome service from Matthew and Tyler tonight. I heard everywhere in south Sacramento were sold out of Hennessey because it was 30% off if you buy 6 or more which comes down to 19.99 per bottle. I decided to give Elk Grove a shot. I called to check if they were still open since it's Veteran's day, and I was lucky they were open until 11pm still. I walked straight to the alcohol section, and I knew it would be locked up. YES... they still had some Hennessey available. I went to the first available cashier that I saw, and it was Matthew. I asked him for 6 bottles of Hennessey. Tyler was free so he went and check for me. He even mentioned that it isn't limited to 6, as long as you buy at least 6. Even better!! Matthew then rung me up and Tyler bagged them for me. They made it so easy for me. In and out within 5 minutes. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The other day I went into Raley's, and went to the deli and ordered deli meat to be sliced like i always do when i come into Raley's. This young girl named Bri looked at me and completely ignored that I was standing by the counter. She then came up to me and said impolitely "Do you need something?". At that point she started to have an attitude. And quickly turned to slice the meat i ordered. After she was done she threw the meat on the counter and just turned around. I have been shopping at this location for a while and i was really surprised to receive customer service like that. Now i do not even want to go in and shop at this raley's anymore. This is always a great store. I've had amazing cakes from here. Today when I went to place a cake order is was a female behind the bakery counter that I had never interacted with before. Her name was Danielle and she was not helpful at all. Very rude, rushed and acted like I was bothering her by trying to place an order. She was practically giving me dirty looks and definitely attitude in her body language and the way she spoke to me. Very poor customer service etiquette. I ended up leaving and told her I'll be back when the specialty cake bakery comes in. I've always had good experiences there but this girl is not good with customers. read more

I shop here and a few other stores. The staff here are always so helpful, kind, and sincere. Today I was blown away with how helpful Michael in the meat department was. He helped me cut my chicken the way I needed it for a recipe and helped me save money too. I love this store and the staff. read more

Prices are higher than most=true. But the store is CLEAN, the produce is FRESH, there's VARIETY on the shelves, I earn REWARDS just for shopping regularly. Of the other reviews I've read here about less-than-stellar staff, those seem to be one time interactions (that happens everywhere-even Nugget). I have had 3 or more positive interactions each with: Jennifer in the e-cart department; Cashiers Jarrod and Ryan B; Edie in customer service and Tim (manager) who usually oversees self check. I enjoy this store and appreciate all the donations they provide at countless community events. Lastly, there are many hidden deals available if you have a Something Extra card and log in to get coupons/rewards online (free merchandise, bonus points, BOGO deals, etc) read more

I only get by here when I'm working and usually grab some sushi. The guy working here making sushi is the best at a Raley's I've found anywhere in the Sacramento area. His stuff tastes the best, looks the best, and he's talkative if you engage him. I told him I thought he was doing a great job and he said he used to work at a sushi restaurant. I believe him. This review is ONLY for the store's Covid 19 protocols. The last two times I was in the store I counted two and three customers who weren't wearing masks, despite the sign at the door. I tried to listen to see if a cashier would say anything as one went through the register, but nothing. I'm an elderly man with health problems. All it takes is one maskless person to spread Covid. Please enforce the mask rule. I won't be returning to this store until I hear some type of statement from the store that the mask rule will be enforced. read more

The store location is great. I always find the food and produce to be fresh. The employees there are always helpful and even remind you about coupons. The variety is great too! This Raley's is one of my favorite stores in Elk Grove because it usually has everything I need. I've really enjoyed using their USPS service at the customer service counter since it's so much closer than the post office. Today I saw the sign that their service counter will be closing permanently on November 7 and I'm really bummed. The staff that work at the counter are always very friendly and helpful. I always see Salvatore working but there are times when a young woman is working and no matter who is working, it's always a nice experience to drop off a package, cash in a lottery ticket, and make small talk with them. I am going to miss this service so much when it is gone. Thank you for offering this convenience to us for so many years! read more

I would highly recommend Raley's online shopping home delivery service. Order was accurate and the delivery was on time. I added comments for my preferences regarding produce and they got it perfect. I ordered ice as well and it was not melted at all. My parents grocery shop online as well and are very happy with Raley's service. Great service and an awesome time saver. read more

The customer service and team members are amazing. They care about you and ask about your day. They always ask how I would like my groceries to be bagged. The bakery is nice, yummy donuts each time I go. The produce is good and so is the meat area. Wonderful and nice butcher. Whenever I have a question about where something is, they always make sure to tell me where in the store it's located and even walk with me to show me instead of just pointing. They have a good selection of organic products. And then when I needed my cart taken they would say "I'll take that for you ma'am". Super helpful. I would highly recommend. read more

1.1.19 Perhaps an overdue review of grocery stores in Elk Grove, but I wanted to post this for the new year. I relocated to Elk Grove years ago, and I had been shopping at Safeway for over 30 years, so I thought I might try Safeway here in Elk Grove, and I am sorry that I ever did :( The lines at the checkout were long, and as a senior I would sometimes request a help out to my car, and find myself waiting and waiting, and then skipping the help out as no clerk was available. What really irritated me was the fact that I was asking a clerk for help, and he stated "i'm busy" and just pointed in a general direction. The FINAL straw with Safeway came when grocery stores here were going to start charging for grocery bags at $0.10 per bag. I was polite and asked the checkout clerk at Safeway when the store would start charging. He just shrugged his shoulders, and said "I don't know" I then asked him if he could ask a supervisor. He then stated "who the F do you want me to ask" THAT was it, NO MORE SAFEWAY for me. I went to Bel Air across the street the next time I went shopping for groceries. The clerks are friendly, and if you need some help. a Raley's clerk will take you right to the aisle where the item is located. If you need help out, you get help out and pronto. In addition, you get rewards, discounts on items that you have purchased in prior visits. If you need help with your rewards card, you can call the 800 number for Raley's and have a courteous employee help you I gave Safeway the permanent "goodbye" after 30 years, because to me, they are NOT focused on customer service. Remember, customers don't go away mad, they just go away never to return. Raley's and Bel Air are the stores in Elk Grove that make a grocery shopping experience a profound pleasure :) Raley's gets an A+ for their service !!! read more

If I could give a zero I would. I come to this store quite often since its convenient but after today I will no longer go. The cashier an older lady was EXTREMELY rude...she literally rolled her eyes and huffed at me when I answered her question if I wanted my items in bags. This is the second time I've experienced flat out rudeness from this cashier. I usually avoid going in her line but didn't realize it was her till last minute. Just ran into Leona at the self check out, and she could not have been more rude and unhelpful. When I had trouble with the machine, she stood there. When I said the machine was too complicated, she said"it was your choice". When I had more trouble and said that the food should cost less for all this work, she said" you're complaining to the wrong person". That was not a complaint- this is the complaint, Leona. We pay way too much at Raleys for lousy service and surly remarks. read more

I regularly shop at this store, the employees are very helpful and up until the pandemic, I was always able to find what I needed. Love the $5 Mondays. The reason for the 2 stars is that I have noticed that this store has not changed their hours and have NOT set any controls on how many customers they allow in the store at the same time. This store is busier most of the time because of this,which makes it hard to stay any amount of distance from other people while shopping and mostly at the checkout stands. This makes me very uncomfortable. I really like this store but am considering shopping elsewhere because of this matter. I wish someone would look into this please. read more
